Captain Mo's is my favorite place to buy crabs! I get the Large/Jumbo males which are a little pricey, but are SOOOOO WORTH IT!! When I said large....... the crabs are always good full heavy crabs. It's a 40 minute ride for me, but AGAIN soooo worth it. I always call ahead to reserve my order because as SOON as their doors open the place is CROWDED!! On one visit I had to wait a little longer than usual and I got a pound of jumbo shrimp for the wait. AGAIN ..... worth it. Someone complained about the flies.... this is not a sit down restaurant, it's a grab and go crab shack. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you call ahead or be there as soon as they open you will not be disappointed.

The little red head young lady with the glasses that works at the register is very rude and does not care or respect the customers. When I walked in she was being loud and obnoxious flirting with a man at the register and showing him pics in her phone. I called my order in over the phone 2 hours before I arrived and after I got all the way down there (I live 25 miles away) she told me the debt machine was not working!! When I told her she should be telling every customer the machine is down every time someone called in a order she told me she stopped telling customers over a month ago which sounded really stupid as if the same customers come in everyday. With the business being self - owned the little girl thinks she can treat customers rudely

My second time this year getting crabs from Captain Mo's and they have been really good. This time I went with the large, they were nice and heavy and the meat was really flavorful. Their prices are always comparable to other crab spots in the area. I called ahead to place my order and they were ready for pick-up on time. This is a pretty popular spot in Southern MD, so you definitely want to get your orders in early on the weekends and the holidays; they sell out fast. I wouldn't suggest getting the steamed shrimp here. I've had them once, not good. Pre-cooked, small, no flavor. Stick with the crabs, and you are sure to enjoy.

Great crabs!!! Def my go-to spot in White Plains/LaPlata area. I had to take one star off because the place is buzzing with flies and I would rather wait in my car until my order is ready. Don't get me wrong, the people are friendly and the prices are fair for the crabs you get, but the flies are a bit annoying.

This place is pretty good! I had medium sized males & they were a decent size. Also they were steamed just right! I didn't call ahead and put in my order so I waited a good 30 minutes for my crabs. Next time I will be making call ahead orders. I will be getting my crabs from this place from now on!!

Has never let me down! Always true to size and weight as suggested by staff. Best seafood in southern MD. Call early to place your order for the best size options and they sell out of the largest first (go figure). A little pricey but worth the money.

Very good crabs that are nicely sized! A little pricier than most places but you definitely get what you pay for. They tend to run out of certain sizes too so be sure to call ahead so you'll get what you want!

My twin and I love this hidden Gem in Charles Co. It's so close to my HM and the crabs r delish!! I just wish they would order more Females to last till closing... I'm tired of eating these tasting male crabs. Because ladies, we allz(yes I spelled it that way) know the Females Rocs, that is Female Crabs taste better and I dare men to disagree!!??? ...lol

When I'm in PG or Charles County, this is where I go for crabs. Their crabs are actually good and full of meat. Their mediums the smallest I would go, but the large female or male crabs are what we usually aim for. Males are good for more meat, and the females are a good flavor especially if you eat the other stuff besides just the meat. This place is always busy and can be a tad of a wait. Best thing to do is order ahead on the phone then pick up. Their crabs are fresh and tasty. Depending on whether it's a holiday or a busy game day, prices can vary. Overall, they are pretty reasonable and well worth it. The last time we came here, we were able to get a 3 dozen male larges for around $80. They do run out later in the day, so make sure you order early or call in. You won't be disappointed. Their crabs are always good and consistent.
