The blackened chicken and blue cheese with pasta is fantastic. I am allergic to vodka so they served it in a rose cream sauce. The butter is the best I have tasted in a long time. It"s after the dinner hour and the service is slow.

The food is very good & the prices are reasonable for this type of restaurant in this area. Their cream of crab soup is tied for the best I've ever tasted - very, very good. Their appetizers are my favorite part of the menu; the crab dip is good, although heavier on the cream cheese than necessary. The clams casino are delicious, as is their calamari (always ask for extra marinara sauce to go with it). The crab bruschetta wasn't my favorite, but I always order their Tuscan antipasto board. The combo of meats, cheeses, olives, garlic & bread is outstanding! Seared ahi tuna is alright, although nothing out of the ordinary. Great service & nice atmosphere, too. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Westminster.

First time here and we will be back. An attractive restaurant with attentive, servers and outstanding Italian fare. I am a big fan of lasagna and it was maybe the best ever. The crab ravioli and shrimp fradiavolo were also delicious. This place can get busy so reservations are a good idea.

Hands down the best Italian food you can get in Westminster (being that they have other locations in varying counties) that is not only affordable but that you would go out of your way to eat at. Having been there numerous times we've tasted quite a few of their dishes. The Lobster Bisque (on the specials menu) was out of this world as is their Cream of Crab. Their Calamari is cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crunch from the coating. The marinara is fantastic (and that's an understatement)!! If you like Caesar Salads it is an absolute must that you try theirs. It is a very generous size and I always get the dressing on the side so that I can take the rest home. Chicken Parm is delicious along with the side of pasta you get with it. The capellini, the ziti, the fettuccine and every other pasta itself is so good you'll be spoiled once you eat there. Their Shrimp Alfredo is amazing. The Chicken Pino which I had last night was one of the best entrees I've ever had. The restaurant itself is very warm, inviting, and clean and the outdoor patio seating is perfect for a nice evening. The owner Pino, along with all the staff make you feel like family and not just customers. Being someone who has a toddler with me wherever I go and having them always be so nice and accommodating to my family and I is worth the trip itself. I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. Definitely a 5 star place, if not more!

It's probably not fair to judge a restaurant on a take out order but after all the raves, this meal was extremely disappointing and I'd like to save someone else their $20. I had the POLLO AL PEPPERONCINI The (mostly) good: The meal was hot, the portion was appropriate to the price, the spinach was well cooked (although completely devoid of seasoning, this turned out to be a good thing) and it was ready in 15 minutes (1st warning sign). The unfortunate: A dish that lists all the herbs (Rosemary! Sage! Thyme!) going into its preparation shouldn't just taste like salt. The herbs were obviously a dried "Italian seasoning" mix that tasted like nothing. If I hadn't been shakey-hands hungry I would've gone out to my own herb garden to try to fix this issue. I knew going in that the risotto wouldn't be like grandma's, but it was very gooey, wet, and salty. Since the spinach escaped the salting, the two almost worked okay together. And the bread (while warm) was obviously from the supermarket next door; it had no flavor, no texture and crust that was just a different color from the inside. I'm extremely glad snow kept me from taking my Italian grandmother here last winter, I never would have lived it down.

You can get very fat in here if you're not careful. I've been here twice, and twice I've left with bread comas. I'm not much of a pasta buff, but the pasta here is very good. I was actually surprised. It's a bit of a ways from me, but my partner loves it and that's enough for me to travel with him for some of this I-talian goodness.

Professional servers, a thoughtful menu, and quality ingredients. As a celiac I'm used to going through Hell in order to safely enjoy a meal out. Not so here. I didn't have to explain anything, I was assured that they would take every precaution, and they did. My Gf pasta was heavenly. The seafood in it was perfectly cooked. Overall a great meal.

My husband & I have been coming here since we have been married......13 years! Compared to the "other" Italian restaurant in town, we always loved Liberatore's the best. Casual, yet classy....good food, great pasta and amazing service! Prices are more than reasonable. However, in the past few visits I have noticed things going down hill. One, the service. No longer am I greeted by the happy blonde that would always take time to check on us later, but by a new host which makes me think changes are taking place. The service is subpar....before we would be greeted with a smile and taken care of and given apologys for any wait where as, last month, we waited at the corner of the bar for an hour only to see people behind us being seated. We left. We did come back only to find rubber orrichette that must have been reheated more than once and loud, obnoxious patrons. The time before, the risotto had left a bad taste in my mouth. I remember when Liberatore's first introduced the new menu and I enjoyed the orrichette so much, now it is obvious that everything is rushed and not fresh. I cannot continue to visit a place that serves plates of food for any amount of money that is not fresh. I would not serve that in my own kitchen nor feed it to my 15 month old. I hope that this review finds Liberatore's a way to call on Gordon Ramsay to save an establishment that I loved for years. For now, I am going to visit the "other:" Italian restaurant.

Delicious! Best food we've had since moving to the area. We went on a busy Saturday night and while the hostess was frazzled and absent from the front, she was working hard to seat people. Make sure you have reservations though because they were turning away walk-ins. They could have used some more servers but while ours was busy, she attended to us very well. We ordered the sangria, cream of crab soup and the special salad to start. All were delicious but my only complaint was that I should have asked the price of the salad because I paid $10 for a half head of iceberg with blue cheese. The regular menu prices were very reasonable though. The crab ravioli were incredible. They were definitely made fresh and had the best lump crab and cream sauce on top. We also ordered a chicken and risotto combo and the gnocchi. Both were cooked perfectly and amazing. I say the test of a good restaurant is how the food is on a busy Saturday night and this did not disappoint!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
