Let's just start off by saying I am NEVER going back. You couldn't pay me in Diamonds or Gold Bullion to ever step foot back in that place. We go in and we're seated. It takes 5 minutes for the waitress to come over and even get our drink order. Now, I won't take it out completely on her; it was obvious they were understaffed and she was working not only the 5 occupied tables around us, but she was also working tables in the bar, but she could've at least dropped off menus and said she'd be right back. Anywho. We've been here before and the last time, the food was fantastic. We ordered the Red Hot & Blue Nachos: The cheese was barely melted, the pork had no flavor, and the entire dish was lukewarm. The saving grace was having BBQ sauce on the table and we were able to put sauce on the pork to give it some kind of taste. I ordered a half slab of Ribs, Mashed Potatoes, and Collard Greens. and my friends ordered a full slab (Mashed Potatoes/Cole Slaw) and the Two Timer (Brisket and Sausage w/ Fried Okra and Collard Greens.) I also ordered a cocktail from the bar. It took 15 minutes for the cocktail to come back, but was surprisingly really good. +1 to the bartender who made the best part of our meal. My Ribs tasted burnt and were extremely dry. I ordered the Sweet BBQ Ribs, but you couldn't taste any BBQ sauce on them. The silver skin and connective tissue on the back of the ribs weren't scored/removed, so I had to pull it off myself so that I wasn't chewing forever on something that would never be masticated. I got through two ribs before I was turned off completely and didn't want to eat them anymore. The Greens were over-seasoned and smelled horrible; all I could taste was pepper. The Mashed Potatoes were great, though! My friends' ribs were even worse. Hers were dry and inedible; she was pulling hunks of gristle off the ribs just to get at the meat, which was dry and very burnt tasting. She ate one before she decided it wasn't worth it. Her sides were really good as well. My other friend, his dish was a bit better. The brisket was dry and the sauce tasted weird; not the Sweet BBQ he ordered, but didn't taste like any of the other sauces available. The sausage was pretty good and his sides were fine. The only reason I gave this place two stars was the fact the manager came over and made it right. He even admitted to the fact that both slabs of ribs and the brisket "didn't look right" and he didn't make any excuses about it. He took the ribs off the bill and that was it. We left hungry and ended up having ice cream for dinner. The likelihood of us ever going back is slim to none and slim went on vacation a few weeks ago.

Seeing a lot of reviews about taking X amount of time to be seated. Pretty sure most of these dumbasses came in during lunch and didn't see the "seat yourself" sign right in front of their eyes. This is a blues restaurant; if things don't go exactly your way, stfu and write a song about it. Everyone is welcome here. But don't come in here and complain that the service is not as fast as a chickfila. Staff here rules, sometimes the beer is flat but I like that. It's the charm this place brings that we need. Fresh change of pace from all the Waldorf franchises.

So from the moment we walked in it was a bit odd that there weren't a lot of people in there. Especially after reading all the good reviews, but we decided to stay anyway. Our service was great there. Can't complain about our waitress. On the other hand, i can't say the same about the kitchen. Our meats tasted like they had been reheated from like 2 days ago. But we just disregarded and ate anyways. Now my wife and I came down with food poisoning. I now wish we would've said something about the taste.

This food was terrible, highly disappointed as I was looking forward to trying this. We got to go brisket and chicken. Well the brisket came wrapped in plastic and looked thawed and microwaved. Ralph! Chicken was ehhh.. My dog will enjoy the brisket bc it looks so unappealing. Place looked clean, long wait though for something that's was clearly prepared last week. Common you guys step it up in quality please. Also, bring your own sauce bc there is nothing special there either.

My husband and I wanted to cater a reception cookout for about 60 friends and family. Red Hot and Blue worked with us on our order, how much we would need, what's most popular and suggested things we hadn't thought of. On the day of the party they delivered our order exactly on time. The food was a great success. We were very happy with the great service and attention to detail that we decided to use them again for our next function.

The only bad thing I can say about Red, Hot, and Blue is that I ate too much and am still working off my meal days later, but that's not exactly the restaurant's fault. You can't really fault them for having delicious food, now can you? That's the appeal, after all. My husband got the dry ribs, but I opted for the burger, which I am so happy I did. I tell ya: if you are going to go out, at least go out in a ball of glory. That burger was huge and delicious and guilty as all sin, but worth every cheesy, caloric bite. The fries that came with were delicious too, as were the string beans. My husband said they used to have this corn on the cobb years ago that was amazing, but apparently they don't anymore, or, if they do, it's just a rare time during a specific season so you don't luck up on it all the time. Service is excellent here. Our server, Jasmine, was sweet and attentive and, when she got busy with another table, two other servers stepped in to make sure we were taken care of. We don't eat a lot of meat save for special occasions (my hubby's birthday was the excuse this time around), but this spot is definitely a "must do again." Casual, and not fancy, but good, good, good food and service!

I went to this place a few times and had different meals which were all pretty great. The kicker was thier awesome Grandmas potatoe salad.....really good eating thier. Unfortunately one time I went in to the to go station and the guy standing thier said they were closed to go to the bar. No problem I went thier to order, no one thier, the usual guy working was sitting down. After waiting for 15 minutes the same guy who said he was closed came from the back and talked to the bar tender. After talking to him he came to me and said ok so what do you want...with a attitude no less (loser).....he got me potatoe salad but it looked and tasted like it was old....they have good food but service needs to be better.

Service wasn't great, no one was at the hostess stand, waitress checked in only once or twice. Food was average, got the nachos with the pulled pork, pork was dry and had to shred the meat ourselves, the burger was very charred, all I could taste was the char, the bbq beans was drowning like it was bean soup, could've been drained more and given more beans.

Crappy food, greasy onion rings, and the ABSOLUTE LAZIEST STAFF ON PLANET EARTH!!!! I'm not making that last part up. We walked in one time and waited 5 minutes for someone to walk to the hostess area. Then we waited 5 more minutes for a waitress, and I lost count for how long it took to get the food. I've only ate there a few times but that last time was the absolute straw that broke the camels back. I'll never go back. (Especially with Randy's and Georges BBQ in Charles County. )

Went on a Friday afternoon, not many people and only one server, but Crystal got it done, fast. Got the hoochie Coochie Cajun burger with fries. Burger was great and meaty, must have been 1/2 pound. My guest had the BBQ pork sandwich, also great, but could have used a bit more cole slaw. Fries were done just right. WAY better than Famous Daves.

The food is excellent--currently running a three-course special, which I highly recommend. I had the wings appetizer, followed by the half-chicken, with two sides, all of which were delicious, as was the dessert. Service is good. MUCH better food and atmosphere than Famous Dave's. And the reviewer who mentioned Damon's has to be joking.

I'm astonished at the poor reviews this place has had. I ordered the 5 meat sampler and the catfish appetizer. Although I did not care for the sausage, that was because of my personal preference. All of the food came hot and fresh and the waitress was up beat and helpful. If I lived here I would definitely return! The place was spotless as well.

Wife and I went today. We were both reluctant as we have found that empty parking lots equate to a bad experience however, a few friends said it was good so we tried it. It started out good with them bringing our drinks in mini-pitchers, a nice gimmick. I had an order of wings and the pulled pork sandwich, my wife ordered the sampler with five different kinds of meat. They brought the wings out and I have to say, it was some of the healthiest, juiciest looking wings I've had in a long time. Thick, juicy and meaty...nothing like BW3's or Hooters. They were decent although the sauces weren't all the great. Either way, I thought if they did this good with wings, maybe we found a gold mine. I was severally disappointed by everything else. My pulled pork sandwich was moderately dry and really had no flavor at all. I tried their cole slaw, which was mediocre, then dumped it on the sandwich but it didn't help at all. The potato salad wasn't that great either imo, although my wife loved it. As for my wife's sampler...She got sausage, brisket, pulled chicken, pulled pork and ribs. The pork was the same as mine, dry and not much flavor. The chicken was juicy but didn't have that "Hickory smoked" flavor that was advertised all over the menu. The brisket was actually good...moist, tender and had some flavor although not the "hickory smoked" flavor we were expecting. The sausage was very meaty, just like I like my sausage but again....very little flavor and nothing hickory about it. She got the ribs with a dry rub. It was more like eating Rib Jerky though as it was so dried out and overcooked we couldn't even really sample it. All in all, I was very disappointed by the food. No flavor, most of it was dry and nothing tasted "hickory smoked". The service was slow; we had to wait about 4 minutes before anyone even greeted us at the door. I went without a refill for about five minutes which was rough considering how dry most of the food was. The waitress was very friendly and extremely enthusiastic about the food / menu. That said I told my wife "I bet she doesn't ask how everything was"....smart waitress...she proved me right. Not interested at all in what I thought. She already knew how the food was and probably was tired of hearing about it. 2/5 only because the wings were decent...the only saving grace of the entire experience. We won't be going back.

The service is slow and the food is middle of the road at best. the BBQ is crap. The Chilli and Peacn Pie are the only things I would order there again. Also sweet tea: Learn to make it.

BEST BBQ EVER...but by best, I mean worst =/ I tried this place out months ago before I had a yelp account but the food here sucked that bad that I needed to write about it...ordered a chopped beef brisket sandwich and a couple of sides... Meat: Dry Sauce(s): Pitiful Sides: Not memorable All I know is that I couldn't even finish it and had to get dinner somewhere else. It's quite possible that what I ordered was the problem, or the day I went could have been a bad day but I'll never know cause I don't plan on ever going back.

First: we walked in and were not greeted by anybody until about 5 min later. She told us it'll be about 5 min even though there were empty seats everywhere. Second: we waited 15 min and then the hostess said "you guys can follow me. She had a sour expression on her face but whatever, my husband asked me "what's her problem?" Third: we waited another 10 min for a waitress to ask for our drinks, at this time we ordered our food because who knew how much longer we would have had to wait to order our food. At this time a party behind us received their food and the lady told the waiter "this is the longest we've ever had to wait for food." There was only 3 in her party..... Forth: got our food, I was hungry so I ate it, but wasn't truly amazed. My husbands ordered ribs and they were tough and he didn't eat most of it. So he came home hungry. The only thing that I liked was that the water came in a pitcher, not a glass. So one star for that. Was not impressed. Will not go back.

We held our rehearsal dinner at Red Hot and Blue. We set everything up with one of the managers, Mike. He was very pleasant and thorough. The food was terrific and my family loved that they could go back for seconds. It worked out to about $20 a head which we found extremely reasonable. Mike let us store our cake in one of his refrigerators and RH&B provided additional plates and silverware for dessert, which we did not purchase from them. Mike had 2 servers dedicated to our party the entire time we were there and nobody had to wait for food or drinks. Great job, Mike and staff!

Our favorite place to eat in Waldorf. we always sit at the bar or in the bar area and have never had service issues. BBQ and sides are some of the best in the area. Bartenders are always friendly. Could use a better beer selection though.

RH&B has some new recipes! My wife and I stopped in a few days ago and were very surprised -- in a good way. I've always preferred RH&B to all the other BBQ joints in the area (trust me we've tried them all). I had chicken with beans, potato salad, and hush puppies. The chicken was marinated in some delectable concoction that made the chicken really juicy with a great flavor. The chicken is coated in a really tasty rub and was cooked so the skin was crispy. The potato salad was great as usual. The beans are obviously from a can, but the added touches make them really tasty. The RH&B meets are at the top of the list of all the BBQ in the area. The other joints serve meets that are either too sweet, dry, tough, or too slaty. And, the RH&B sides are without equal. Sorry Lefty. Sorry Dave. RH&B gets my vote.

Red Hot & Blue was so-so with their BBQ. It's sad when you have to keep adding different BBQ sauces available at your table. RHB needs to be generous with BBQ sauce in their food. Better yet, they need to improve their sauce. You're better off at Famous Dave's. Heck, you're better off at Damon's across the street and they're not even strictly BBQ. Overall, service was friendly and attentive. Loved that they served drinks in a pitcher rather than in regular glasses. The Elvis and Memphis (blues and jazz notables) decor was nice. Nonetheless, if I'm ever in the mood for BBQ, RHB will not be on the list.

This was a pleasant surprise. My nephew (5 year old) was in charge of picking a place for lunch and he recommended the "three pigs with guitar" (their sign)--we've never been, but see it enough when we're in the vicinity. The BBQ place has a Memphis theme to it. There's a giant Elvis at the entrance and pictures of jazz/blues musicians all over the place. Elvis was playing in the background, but it wasn't overpowering or anything and the news clippings that were nearby was an interesting read. The service was good--they were attentive and really friendly. The food was good. I recommend the catfish which I had. It was cooked perfectly! The meat was still tender and it had the right amount of crisp. The sides were okay, the slaw too sweet and the hush puppies too doughy, but I think the fish saved it. Everyone else enjoyed their meal as well. Not bad for a five year old's pick.

If you are gay avoid this place! My partner and I went there with a friend and our wedding planner. The middle aged African American female server seemed pleasant at first. Even offering us congrats on our impending nuptials. Apparently she was just being phony. Our 2 friends had ordered coffee. After bringing out our drinks, we asked her to bring out some Splenda. My friend also said to her "Darling, could you bring us another cup of coffee, these are cold. She then said coldly, "You don't have to call me "darling" my name is So n so". And she said she would put on a fresh pot of coffee and left. 15 minutes later, still no coffee or Splenda. When the coffee came she put the cup down so hard a third of it spilled over the table in front of my friend. She then tossed a handful of Splenda on the table, turned around and walked away without so much of an acknowledgement of what she had done. And the coffee was still cold!! Of course we got the manager explained what happened. We told him that had she apologized when it happened, everything would have been ok. And why did she apparently about putting on "fresh" coffee? We suspect she had issues with who we are. Especially after my female friend called her "darling." She probably thought she was hitting on her. The ironic thing is that our friend is straight! It wasnt even like that. The manager got us another server and comped our appetizer and drinks. We tipped our new server $5 bucks just because he had a pleasant personality. The place has been going downhill for a couple of years. Hiring more servers with pleasant attitudes would help. But I'll never know, because I am never going in that place again.

Sweet Potato Fries are decent, but eat them while they are hot. If they become cold they turn into a hot mess like everything else here. If you want good BBQ go to Famous Daves or some place else. I don't understand why people rave about Red Hot and Blue. I haven't found a good one yet. It's ashame how they ruin BBQ.

Our food was fantastic, our service was NOT. I will definitely come back, because it was tasty. But if I have the same server I will not hesitate to ask for a new one. This waitress could do no wrong, not a thing was her fault. She blamed the hostess for not having silverware on our table when we were seated, she blamed the kitchen staff (who, in her words "can't speak English!" as she scoffed) for not bringing a refill for my friend's soda...she forgot to bring take-home boxes too, and that was also not her fault. It was a SLOW night, just us and two other tables. So I don't know what her problem was but I am hoping next time we go there we can enjoy our meal with a friendly, happy, responsible waitress!

Terrible service, slow poor attitude. Stay far away from this place.
