A great place to get a quick bite to eat. Amazing fast friendly service. Prices are very reasonable giving the high quality ingredients that go into your stir fry bowl. I definitely will be back again. :)

We have been to this location several times and have had wonderful experiences every time. The staff is friendly and helpful and the choice of food makes it easy for our entire family, including the pectarians and vegetarians to eat alongside the carnivores! lol This is one of our out to eat staples now...

This place has to be one of my favorite restaurants. When I went last night, I did not know what to expect. I didn't know exactly what mongolion food was, but every time I was in the shopping center, Genghis Grill smelled irresistible. Last night I decided to try it out, and it was a very different and unique experience. Basically when you go there you are seated at a table with menus. You get a bowl and when you go to the "buffet" bar, your waitress will explain to you the whole process. There are proteins of all different kinds (chicken, pork, beef, pepperoni, sausage, crab, shrimp, etc), then you move onto the seasonings. There are a variety, I like my food to be really spicy so I put a lot of cajun, cayenne, dragon salt, etc. Then you move onto vegetables and they have many many vegetables. Then you get your sauce that you would like. After you're done creating your own stir fry, you hand it off to one of the wonderful grill masters and you pick which kind of rice or noodles you would like. It was SO delicious... I've been craving it and may return again tonight. The staff is so friendly and kind. I believe my waiter's name was Justice.. he was very attentive to our drinks and friendly. I recommend this place toeveryone! It's great for families.

I've always seen it but never went in. Finally me and my mom decided to stop by and it was soooooo good you really can't go wrong because you're basically making your own food if you choose the build your bowl option. Overall the customer service was excellent. By the time you finish making your bowl the server brings your drinks out and before you know it your food is ready. Definitely a nice go to spot!

Great place. Lots of different combinations to make a dish that is uniquely your own. Great for meat lovers as well as vegetarians. Staff seems very friendly and willing to make your experience enjoyable. I think if this restaurant keeps up the good work it will be a hit in Waldorf.

I've visited Mongolian style restaurants before. I'm glad that a location opened in the area nearby my parent's house. Pros I really like the concept. As one who is health conscious, I like being able to have the food cooked with or without seasoning. The price is reasonable. Cons The staff is young and needs help with customer service. On my first visit (December 17), the greeter wanted us to sit close to the door. The restaurant had few people inside. We wanted to sit towards the middle. The owner overheard our conversation and instructed the greeter to let us seat wherever we wanted. He also stopped by the table later to inquire how was everything. That was nice. On December 30 about 6:30 pm, I phoned the restaurant to inquire their closing time. The response was 10:00 pm. My mother (who came with me on the first visit) wanted to pick up a carry out order after running a few errands. When we arrived at 9:00 pm, the restaurant was closed. There was a sign on the door that said "Closing early for hood cleaning." My mother was disappointed. We made a special trip just for her. Again, poor customer service. Overall, I would visit the restaurant again. If the owner happens to be there, I would suggest that the staff could use some customer service training.

This has to be one of the worst Mongolian grill places that I have been to. RIP BD Mongolian Grille. Hooray to Bang Bang!!!! Went on recommendation of my bf. Having been to this type of restaurant I thought I knew what I was doing when the waiter quickly followed me to the line to ask. Now mind you the bowl you are given is smaller than a kids cereal bowl. It was dirty. An unnecessary sauce cup was provided. Some places tell you to put the sauce on the food. So in line one person infront of me and about 6 ppl behind me. Only one of the two sides were open. The line is short and narrow. The lady infront of me was confused and let's me pass her. I get to the end where the sauce is and realize my bowl is half empty. Not wanting to slow down the line bcuz now there were abt 12 ppl behind me I walk back to the front to fill up the rest of my empty bowl. I hear the grill guy yelling at me bcuz the grill is at the end if the food line. This jerk is yelling if you go back in line that will be a $4 up charge?! Rukm?! So apparently at the END of the line above the food in the air is a sign that says what he was yelling. Remember the whole time you are looking down at the food, not in the air. Being the person that I am, you can't tell me what I am doing wrong if you never told me what was right. So basically take however long you need in the line but never go back, bull crap. I did it and told him you can't tell me at the end, move your sign to the front of the line and have your waiters tell customers before they get in line. So when I got to the grill this fool wrote $4 up charge. Ok np, you can have your food back. He called a waitress over like I was a child and he was going to punish me. She apologized and he cooked my food. You don't ever have to worry about me returning to this restaurant. Try bang bang in crofton better, larger and fresher food. choices.if the guy wasn't being the food police I might would have given it another chance.

Our family loves this place! We've been twice in one week and brought a friend with us. The location is perfect! The atmosphere is nice! The service was great and the food was absolutely delish! AND the prices are right. You get to create your own stir-fry bowl ... meat, seasoning, veggies and all! It was wonderful! Looking forward to our next time there!

    - good food, lively atmosphere - restaurant, overall, is way too tight. maybe they'll expand - food prep area is small and a little untidy. it can also get a little slow with indescive customers - hopefully, customers will not double-dip with those sample

I've just returned from eating with my wife and daughter at the Waldorf, MD, Genghis Grill. I had looked forward for several months to eating at the new restaurant. Only by experience do you learn places to avoid; Genghis Grill is one. The title of my review sums it up. First, be aware that the online menu for the food chain is NOT offered. They do have "build your own" bowls and pre-set bowls. In specific, we ordered a Mongolian Beef Bowl, a Thai Street Noodle Beef Bowl, a beef Drunken Noodle bowl, and the Korean BBQ Beef tacos. The beef slices in all were over-cooked to the consistency and taste of cardboard. The tacos consisted of tortillas with a few slices of that beef, a little shredded cheese and lots of cole slaw. The Drunken Noodle bowl was cloyingly sweet. My wife described her Thai Street Food bowl by saying you could offer it to a Thai dog, and he would refuse it. The Mongolian bowl was also excessively sweet. Their idea of egg noodles appeared to be spaghettini cut to 2" lengths, unlike any Asian egg noodle I've ever encountered. None of us could eat more than a few bites of the dishes. Do NOT go there expecting anything resembling Asian food.

Yes I'm a fan! Some of the other reviews gave fewer stars for service, however when I went the service was good. Our server was a young guy, he didn't blow me away but he was friendly and did his job well. And the way Ghengis is set up, there's really not a whole lot of interaction with the server once you get started. They just bring you drinks. Now on to the food. I mean, you make it yourself basically, which is exactly why I love this place! Watching your cholesterol, then you control the salt level. Watching your carbs, then you control the starch. I think it's awesome. One review said "you can do this at home." Well yea, there's plenty of restaurants that serve things you can make at home, so I don't get that. Maybe it's cause I don't cook. It's stir fry. Simple. But I like the guy cheffin it up for me! Here's how it works, you pick either the specialty bowls or make your own. With make your own you pick a size and get a bowl. Then hit the food bar. Meats first: steak, chicken, fish, turkey etc. (hint: mash the meats down so you can fit more in there). Then seasonings: salt pepper specialities etc. Then veggies: bok choy, broc, mushrooms, spinach yada yada. Theeen pick a sauce they have like 12 to choose from. Last pick a base: rice, brown rice, cabbage, pasta. Don't like it? You made it! Hahaha that's the catch. I loved my bowl.

I came in during happy hour and enjoyed my stay, even though I only ordered to go. The manager helped me in line and told me how to make my own bowl. He even offered to bring it over to me when it was done cooking, and kindly sat me in the to go area. The bartender made me a wonderful strawberry lime legend and rang me up once my meal was ready. I had a pleasant time here :)

Me and my friend went here for the first time yesterday and it was ok. I was a little irritated how we couldn't understand our waiter and she was absolutely no help with telling/showing us what we were supose to do so we had to ask our neighbors who tracked down their waiter and he helped us. When we finally got everything packed and gave our bowls to the cooks and took our numbers everything else went smooth from there. it tasted like your typical stir fry in my opinion. I would go back....something different...and Sweet Frog is right across the street...lol.

  • Christopher S.

I love the food in this place! The selections available to make your own bowl or the pre-arranged food cards are great. The only reason why I am reserving four stars for this location is the service. Having been here five times (4 for lunch, once for dinner), the staff seem disinterested with service and I am unsure why. During one lunch, most of the wait staff were huddled in the bar area, unable to see the three occupied tables. I had to go to the bar area and ask my waiter for assistance! Fortunately, that was my worst experience, but the level of interest in the wait staff still seems amiss. Morale issues in the workplace?

  • Amanda H.

Just ate here yesterday as I have many times before. The place was empty however it took a good 15 minutes to get our drinks from the bar after ordering... then they were brought one at a time. The selection at the pick your food part has become less and less. Now you have to pay an extra $4 for shrimp. The sauce selection is still fabulous! The food still tasted good. We also had a coupon for a free appetizer, we were going to get the pot stickers.. but after we ordered, we were informed they were out... Overall, every visit becomes less and less enjoyable.

  • John P.

Had lunch here on a Saturday and the food was great. Plenty of choices for fresh veggies and meat. Better than some of the other Mongolian grills that I've been to before.

  • Elizabeth W.

The food is good. The restaurant idea, the ingredients, the food in general, are all on point. I love places where I get to build my own entree, but I don't have to cook it. I also got to pick as much meat as I wanted, double score! Ghengis grill is Mongolian barbecue as the star of the restaurant. I don't think I've ever seen it outside of an Asian buffet place. This place is also cleaner than any AYCE Chinese buffet too. My only complaint would be the same as many on here, service was slow. My server only came to refill drinks once and couldn't remember our orders when she was writing it down in front of us. But overall, I really liked the place.

I got a free birthday regular bowl here. That was my first Genghis Grill experience. So many choices.Meat, seafood(shrimp is extra charge), vegetables, sauces,... Some of them don not have name tags. i and some customers talked what these liquids are??? You pick up ingredients and sauces and spices by your self and take it to a cooking station. You can choose noodle, fried rice, white rice, brown rice, or sliced cabbage there. Taste: Great. But all up to your choice. Interior: Pop asian. Price: Under $10. Awesome! Staff: Nice. Parking lot: Many free spots around the building. It was a fun and tasty lunch. thank you!!!!

Great place if you're into this kind of food. I would give it a 5 star except they didn't tell us that kids can go through the line a second time for free. We found out because a family sitting down shared it with us. It's like a great hidden secret

Been here a dozen or so times. There are a lot of good options in the area, so it says a lot that this is the place my husband and I come to the most when we are out in Waldorf. I was disappointed when they removed the shrimp. Now it costs an extra four dollars for it and according to the servers, it is the same stuff they had before. I also avoid the scallops too. They are tiny and taste a little too fishy. Otherwise, great selection of protein. I like the thinly sliced steak and the sriracha marinated chicken (please never get rid of that). Move down the line and there is about 10-12 options for seasonings. Dragon salt is really good, even if it isn't salt. Huge selection of fruits and veggies to put in your bowl. Everything looks nice and fresh. Very colorful. One huge gripe I have though is the baby corn. The container is in the back, and the tongs provided make it a pain to grab more than two or three pieces at a time. By at least moving it to the front it would be much easier to use that container. I've tried most of the sauces. I usually stick to the spicy stuff, like the Khanzu. At the end there is the huge circular grill. They partition off slices for each meal to cook. I almost always get the udon noodles. Fried rice and white rice are also pretty awesome. You get a huge meal that you can customize yourself for under 10 bucks. Can't beat that! Also their membership program is great. Free bowl every ten and a free bowl on your birthday.

Had it not been for the food here, it would be a one star rating without question. Luckily the food was stocked and fresh at the bar, and the guys working the grill were on point. Otherwise the service was lacking, and by lacking I mean horrible. From the moment we walked in and had to basically sit ourselves because the hostess had no clue what he was doing, to having to repeatedly ask for water, and then being approached by four random people with food that was for people with female names, it was game over. I would come back to eat here, but it would be to get a bowl to go. I can't critique the food because it was very tasty and you can pile whatever you want into your own personalized meal. Protein, spices, veggies, starch and sauce are all your own choice. How much and what kind is up to you and that's what makes Mongolian barbecue such a cool experience. Just wish there was a better hiring pool to choose from. These young kids working out on the floor are LOST...

  • Trish J.

I like the concept of this place. You pick your size bowl and then select your ingredients. If you don't like the taste, it was pretty much your own fault as the seasonings and ingredients are chosen by the diner. If you're not that confident you can make your selections based on recipe cards they provide. My experience there was good, I just wish they also included shrimp.

  • Rick P.

Mediocre chain Mongolian Grill restaurant. Fairly poor, distracted service and confusing array of meats, veggies, and sauces. However, only one of its kind in Waldorf, so we go here every so often. Always the same bleh experience, frankly. It's good, not great.

  • Kim W.

Oh the smell from the parking lot drew us in. Even though I was disappointed in my Korean BBQ tacos, my husbands Mongolian was perfect. Don't order from the menu because your creation will definitely be worth it. The service was good. Our waiter was very attentive while we waited for our food. I wish I had more napkins though.

  • Jason H.

For anyone who has ever had Mongolian barbecue, that is what this place has. Another similar restaurant is the flat top grill. They have a salad bar style bar that has sections of meats, spices, fruits, vegetables, and sauces. You choose your bowl size and whatever you can fit in your bowl is what they cook for you. You choose your starch at the grill, and they have a variety of options from fried rice to udon noodles. Our first time there was amazing, and would have warranted a 5 star. The second time we did take out and we got someone else's order by mistake, but the manager is sending us a free bowl coupon in the mail, so if I could give 4.5 stars I would, but I can't give a five when both of our orders were swapped, but they deserve better than a 4.

Love the environment and food is great I like the fact I get to control what goes into the bowl. I always pile up on chicken and veggies

First off let's talk about the basics... Clean Establishment Fresh and Delicious Food (sizing... Issue!) Quick food but not fast food I like that you can use the tasting spoons to taste the different sauces. This is critical. If you add the wrong sauce it just ruins your entire meal. I also loved all the exotic seasonings. And the time of the day we went (Sunday, early evening) allowed us to taste all of the seasonings and not be rushed by other patrons. My only issues are with service. But it isn't a a 5-star place so it wasn't too serious. One of the hostesses had a very dry sorta evil attitude. I don't know what was wrong her but she was soooo dry. She asked was it our first time and we said yes. End of the conversation. What the hell?! Well our waiter, Tim, made up for that with a thorough understanding of how the restaurant worked. It was so useful. So we walk over and begin preparing our bowls. I came across some fish that wasn't labeled. So I asked the food prep lady what it was. She said, with attitude, fish. Well I was left to believe the language barrier was an issue. I continued asking what type of fish and I even listed a few. She said no, it's fish. But next she asked another Hispanic worker what it was, in their native tongue. She walks over and says yeah it's fish. Whoa! That was hilarious! Food comes out and it looks good and tastes good BUT I ordered a small. My friend ordered a medium sized bowl. Why did mine look bigger? Interestingly enough, you don't get a lot of rice in this place. Most establishments will fill you up on it. Not here! So while I added a lot of meat and veggies, my friend didn't. Therefore, mine looked it the right size while his looked kid-size. Nothing to eat later. Also one quick tip don't get the calamari. They cook it too tough. Now here's another strange thing about the service. Our server disappeared. Where the hell did Tim go? Oh he went to work the bar. Thanks for letting us know. We were abandoned. I had to get up and pay. I still tipped.

I love this place! Those who gave critical reviews, fortunately, I cannot relate to your experience. Every time we come here, the Manager/Owner is always pleasant and recognizes us as returning customers. The staff is very young yet they do a great job and are always accommodating. Food is ridiculously awesome because you are the creator of your own meal and its so fresh! I always ask the cooks to sauté' my dish well done and it comes out perfect with those really nice brown crispy edges but not burnt. I am a master as pilling up a bowl like a little mountain and I end up having enough food for another two meals in a doggie bag. The drinks are always on point as well. Only wish that the space itself was bigger due to more and more people are filling up the seats as word gets out about how good the food is.

Meh, it was no better than buying a frozen entree or going to your local carryout. Here, you know what's in your food. I would, however, avoid the sauces and spices as they make your food way too salty. Excellent staff; very sweet.

Tried this place on the referral of my daughter. There are two doors and since I'd never been there before, I stood for a few and then walked toward the buffet items. I was informed that I needed to go to the bar and place my order. The wonderful bartender/waitress gave me a menu and walked me through what I needed to do. All the staff seemed very friendly and helpful. I ordered a large bowl and shrimp (extra $4). You pick your meats/veggies/spices/sauce. Took me a while to figure out what I wanted but I finally filled my bowl. Make sure to overfill as you get a lot of noodles. I gave my order/card for my shrimp order to the cook and waited at the bar. After about 5 minutes or so, my food was ready. I decided to check it before I left and it is a good thing I did. No shrimp. I informed the other waiter who said they could cook it and bring it in a separate container and this was fine with me. The food tasted great, the scallops and shrimp were a big tough (overcooked?) and the shrimp (about 8) looked like the salad shrimp (won't get again for the price). I love the concept and the staff was wonderful.

My family loves this place! To start off, it's very clean. I love the concept of this place! I love that they don't go by weight, so you can pack your bowl real well! They offer a lot of options for you to make so many different kinds of plates. The food comes out very fast. I like that you can see how everything is cooked. Customer service is decent, too. We've brought lots of different family and friends there and they're all very pleased. :)

Trying to get the burned taste out of my mouth! Service was par food was burned and just poorly cooked all around. Didn't bother complaining to management as they were busy taking a similar complaint at the table across from where I sat.

While you can order off the menu, the fun thing about Ghengis Grill is picking your own meats and veggies and having your bowl cooked in front of you at the giant grill! The drink menu is also inventive and the drinks are nicely prepared. The big disappointment was the service. Our server was very friendly and helpful! The problems came from other parts of the restaurant. There were only about 5 other tables occupied during our visit, yet it took 20 minutes for the bartender to make our drinks! The food was also delivered unevenly even though we all went up to the grill at the same time. This made our meal a bit awkward, waiting for everyone to receive their food and drinks.

Came here before checking out the new Xscape theater in Brandywine friday night. The employees are young but I had no problems with the customer service. Our waiter explained everything we needed to know and even gave suggestions on sauces. I've been to a few local mongolian restaurants in the past year and GG seems to have the formula right. A variety of sauces, veggies, meats, noodles, and anything in between. The bar area was clean and I like how they manage the line. At many other restaurant's similar to GG, the bar area can get hectic so I definitely appreciate that. The food was pretty good. It wont blow you away but its definitely tasty. If it weren't for the fact that I was catching a movie, I would've stuffed myself and went for the all you can eat option. For $4 additional I think its worth it. The cooks control the amount of noodles/rice you receive but they give you a fair portion. I will definitely return! All you can eat for $14 is a good deal! PS The cut of the chicken and beef are pretty thin. Load as much as you want in the bottom of your bowl and go from there. 2 even layers of meat was enough for me but knock yourself out.

It was difficult to choose between three or four stars. I would give 3.5 stars. I have been three times. All similar in food and service. The food is definitely 4-5 stars every time. It's fresh, the sauce choices and vegetable choices are amazing. The manager or owner (in-charge) is attentive to keeping the food area clean and the staff does well with this. The table placements are a little odd. And the bar area should be smaller. And open the restaurant. My 3 star review is based solely on service! Which I would actually give 1.5-2 stars. While the young team has a friendly attitude, they are clueless, and they forget everything. I had to order my wine 5 times! Seriously 5. Then the waiter (who was also the bartender), said "oh, are you serious, I thought you were joking." Are you kidding me? I couldn't believe it. I was agitated. Don't stand between a woman and a glass of wine with her meal after work:) This place would be better with little to no extra menu as they have no clue about anything on it either. Asked about a few things and were told "I'm not sure about that," with no resolution to get someone who did know. I have no doubt this restaurant would get 5 stars if they stuck to what they know- Mongolian barbecue. If someone wants to order from their table, give them a checklist and then go make their food. And get a really good smart bartender. The drink choices are good, but last nights bartender thinks people are joking when they order drinks and has a difficult time making the simplest of items. Friendly, yes, which is a plus, but get it together in the service department.

Great place to eat. Affordable and delicious. You can pick your own ingredients and they grill everything for you or you can pick a mix of things from the menu. Surprised no one has reviewed this place yet!

Maybe I have a sensitive nose but I dislike the smell of raw chicken! As I created my bowl I had to hold my breath to avoid the smell but after I made it through preparation area the end result of my bowl was good. IDK if it was good enough for me to return but our waiter was very attentive and got a great tip :0)

Went to Genghis Grill for the first time and I was very much satisfied! I sat @ the bar and the bartenders were very pleasant and accommodating! Kristina with a "K" showed me the ropes as I was totally confused but she made me feel welcomed! Louis the bar manager rocks and is very helpful! Deonta the bartender was on point and very entertaining!!! Go check them out, you won't be disappointed!!!!!!! -Will

I used to love this place - when it first opened, I ate there practically every week. I adored their food. However, I had not one but TWO incidents with managerial staff there that have made me change my mind about this place, and I refuse to go there anymore. Incident #1: A manager screamed at me in front of the whole restaurant and then continued to berate me at my table. I had gone halfway down the line, realized I wanted some more meat since I had room in my bowl, and then went back to get some more and he screamed at me in front of everyone, telling me that the line is one way only. I've been to other Ghengis Grills and never had a problem with it and informed him of that. He refused to let it go, telling me that I was going to cross contaminate the food on the grill. I'm sorry but the grill like like 500+ degrees - how can I cross contaminate that? The germs will die anyway. He then came over about 20 minutes later after I was done eating (I always get more than I am going to eat at that sitting so I can have leftovers at work the next couple of days) and he kept bringing the conversation up. He said that he used to be the manager at the Kingstowne location (the one I used to go to) and he said that never could I have gotten away with going down the line. I was like dude - seriously - I've been to that location several times in the past year and never once have I gotten hassled. Secondly, my meal is now done and you're still trying to prove a point. I'm ready to leave so please leave me alone. Never once did he apologize. This manager was in his late 20's, heavyset, and of Asian heritage. Incident #2: Despite the first incident, I gave them another chance. Once again, I was yelled at, this time because I went back to get extra sauce. They only give you one tiny sauce cup and when you stuff your bowl as well as I do, you need to have more than that little bit. So, I grabbed one of the little cups where you drop your food off and then went back to get another couple of ladles of sauce. This time some crazed woman yelled at me and told me I couldn't get back in line to get more food. I told her I was only getting a little more sauce. She said she'd have to charge me an extra $4 and I said I didn't think that was fair because I didn't know I couldn't get more sauce. She said fine but the next time I'd have to be charged. Imagine my surprise when my waiter was like "uhhh you got charged an extra $4 and I don't understand why". I explained the situation to him and he went and got the manager. They ended up removing it. This left such a horrible taste in my mouth (no pun intended) that I refuse to give these jackholes any more of my money. They can go eat a bag of dicks for all I care.

Second time coming here and I loved it. My friend called a week ago and reserved a table for a large group for a bday gathering and the staff was VERY accomodating. Our waitress was so nice and friendly and gave us refills without us even asking :) I wish I knew her name but I can't remember what it was. Food was awesome and the manager stopped by our table to say hi and joke around with us for a second. Lovely place and packed with customers for a good reason. :)

I visited Genghis Grill around 5:45 on a Thursday evening and it wasn't too crowded at all. My waitress was very attentive and everyone was extremely helpful, as this was my first visit. I chose the 'Build Your Own' option...I had a great experience and the food was delicious!! I read the Yelp reviews prior to coming so I resisted the urge to get more meat once I had already passed that section. I chose all of the meat options, minus the ham and seafood, and was iffy on the seasonings when adding them but it tasted great. The employee at the line recommended a sauce combo (Honey Soy, Sweet and Sour, and Dragon) and it tasted amazing!! Next time I will probably get 1.5-2 cups of sauce though (I had a Regular size bowl), just to make my rice a little more moist. Lastly, I was a huge fan of the little computers on the tables that you use to pay for your bill. Needless to say, I will return at some point!

Several of the "reviews" down below are from staff (See: Carter V. and a few other staff or fakies with only one review, etc.), which is against Yelp's policy. A few days after I submitted the review a staff member wrote to me through Yelp and called me a "bitch", because he didn't like my review. (It was the guy who calls himself "Carter V.", in case you're a GG manager and you want to know who is stalking your customers through Yelp and calling them names.) I guess that qualifies as "friendly service"? At your own risk. You could be personally attacked for giving an opinion...on an opinion site (??? - Not sure how that makes sense.). I've never had anything like that happen to me before at Yelp, so that tells me something more about the establishment. Someone (staff?) sent me a comment about why people tip wait staff. I thought I should clarify. I was a waitress for years. I know why people tip wait staff. What I don't know is why anyone would tip the wait staff at this place. We did not have one consistent wait person. We had 2 people who stopped by our table. One was the manager, who had to bring us our utensils, because our wait person had not done so. The other was our waitress, who took our drink order, then got it wrong. We had to stop a different waitress, who brought the correct drink. Then, our waitress asked once if we wanted a refill. My husband did want a refill. She never brought one. My question isn't, "Why does anyone ever tip wait staff at a buffet line?" My statement is - The wait staff at this restaurant, in my experience, is not deserving of any extra money for the services they are providing. I've put in my time in public service, cleaning under tables, hauling 50 lb. drums of dressing, cleaning bathrooms, doing side work, etc. I know what wait staff is doing for their money, but tips come from happy customers...and we weren't. And for the record, of course...we tipped her. I don't go out to eat unless I'm prepared to tip. I always tip at least 20%. But if I'm not happy with the service, or the food, or whatever, I don't go back. We're headed to Waldorf today. Guess where I won't be going. (None of that was part of my initial review, but since I got a lecture on why people tip, I thought maybe I needed to be clearer.) My husband originally thought the place was "okay" and almost had me talked into trying it again, but obviously he's changed his mind, now that the staff has behaved like this. Down to one star as a result of aggro-stalker staff, falsely inflated reviews, and too many other great choices in the area.

I met my wife there for dinner this eve. Food is ok. It is set up to pick all of your own ingredients and hand food to stir fry. I thought the "stir-fry" was definitely over-cooked. Stir Fry is supposed to be hot and fast - they put my food on the grill for about 10 minutes - 2 cooks were busy putting 8-10 other peoples orders on the grill while my food sat endlessly over cooking. Had to ask for my beer order three times - I asked for water - never got it. We ordered pot stickers app - that was good. Sauce served with it way too sweet for me - I am used to soy/vinegar sauce for pot stickers. We asked for vinegar - they did not have any. Reasonably priced - I would like to have my food cooked properly next time - I had mandarin oranges and bean sprouts in my bowl before they cooked - could not find a trace of that stuff after they over-cooked the meal. If you want to try a real Mongolian Grill - you have to go to Tony Cheng's Mongolian BBQ in Washington, DC - Chinatown. That is obviously a trip but well worth it!!!

Wife asked that we go here and check it out since she had heard good news about this place. We went here for lunch and immediately had a waitress who was very into her job. Amber was very good at making sure everything was ok with us even suggested an app for my wife's phone that allowed for her to entertain herself while I stepped away. I will say that this is very much a good place as some would think of it as another Japanese Steakhouse, it is a Mongolian Spot that turned me into a fan with the choice of food they offer. I will advise anyone wishing to just have a good stop off for lunch or get together for friends to be prepared to enjoy yourself. We even had the manager asking what could be done to make your experience better. Have fun and hopefully you get the same treatment we received from a customer friendly restaurant.

Delicious. Fast service. Healthy too! I loved building my own dinner, but I was worried about randomly combining ingredients and if that would taste good. They have a dozen cards that have recommended recipes on them that you can build off of. Mine tasted fabulous! It was a lot fun! You can also just order off of a menu. Great selections, fast service, clean facilities, good prices, and we were full when we left. Definitely five stars - we will be going back.

My daughter and I have been here before, she enjoys acting like a chef. The food has been great, and the waiters/waitresses always ask if we've been there before to help us with the process plus they have changed their carry out process to ensure that you are charged appropriately. We were greeted upon entering the restaurant, but I noticed an odor of what I believed to be a sour mop and towels being used to clean the floors and tables. I would go back again but recommend using fresh water, soap and a little bleach.
