The waiter is super nice and the sushi/rolls are also great. The price is very fair. I highly recommend key west roll with conch inside which is wonderful. However, the Thai ice tea has no tea flavor at all and tastes just like sugar milk so please don't try that.

So many sushi rolls to choose from! Sit at the bar so you can read the chalkboard full of sushi options. The drunken noodles are really good!! Probably my favorite place to order drunken noodles. Living Social often has a deal here, so check before going! The owner is very friendly and chatty behind the bar. We always go for yummy sushi when in the Towson area.

I've been coming here for almost 2 years. What won me over was the Mackerel (Saba) sashimi. It was fresh, cold to the touch, and refreshing with a spritz of lemon that was served as a garnish. Just how i love it. As time passed quality has gone down. It's getting dryer and warmer each time I come. Once it was filleted improperly and was in edible due to being full of tiny bones. Just recently it was served so warm I thought for sure I was going to get food poisoning (I didn't) after I ate it, but I was starving and ate it anyhow. I will never order the Mackerel again and that was the only thing that had me select this place over the handful of other sushi restaurants. That depresses me so much. A grey goose and tonic is $10. I guess that's normal for Towson, but holy heck. Service is a hit or miss. I've had horrible service, and I've had wonderful service. It seems to be better during busier, dinner hours. Lunch hours however, the staff are more interested in their phones and conversations, and the place is just empty.

Service: Mediocre & nonchalant Food: It depends on the dish. I've tried different sushi rolls; some were good, others gross, and the rest okay. As some have noted, the sushi is sloppily put together and falls apart. It also isn't the freshest. I've also had their entrees like Pad Thai and drunken Drunken Noodles. The latter, by far, is the best dish I've tried here. Overall: Don't pay full price. Buy one of their online deals because there are better Thai & Sushi places nearby.

Well, I've finally eaten here. The first time I tried, I was tired of waiting for service. This time, I relaxed a little more with the increased attention, but service is woefully slow. Server was new but caring. I ordered Dragon Roll and Hamachi Sashimi. Both were tasty. Ambience feels very hip. Booth seating was nice. Still, something felt off. Maybe it didn't feel clean enough or service wasn't prompt enough. Dragon Roll was good, but not great. Sashimi was almost great, so that's good! They combine Chinese, Thai & Japanese, as well as Sushi, on menu, so it's quite a range. But I've only tasted the sushi/sashimi. UPDATE ~ Perhaps I'm a glutton for punishment as well as sushi. I really don't enjoy writing bad reviews. But, I've tried dining here on a few occasions and left twice, ate once. Service is so slow, I leave. All fish is farmed, yikes! The outdoor tables are nice. The sushi menu seems very limited compared to others in area. The ambience is unique and the servers seemed distant and yet kind the third time, disoriented the first and second times. Additionally, I hear it's possibly impossible to find a Japanese-owned Sushi place. Why am I determined to like this place? I hear they have interesting sushi specials, but there's no menu, only a chalk board to read. So, you'll be bumped into if you try to read the whole thing, as people walk by you. If you're really into sushi, you'll keep looking for the wild side of sushi, i.e., fresh caught not farmed, but is there such a place in Baltimore? Makes me reminisce of this place in Sausalito that had "the" freshest EVER! Enjoy the good stuff while you can, folks.

Best sushi in/@ Towson hands down! Order from their specialty sushi menu found behind the sushi bar - they are amazing & incredibly creative, both in ingredients & presentation! I highly recommend the Mr Paul (shrimp tempera & cream cheese w/salmon wrapped around the outside), Terp (shrimp tempura & avocado w/spicy crap meat & a delicious sweet teriyaki sauce on the outside), Sarah (spicy tuna & salmon with addictive garlic chips sprinkled on top) & Marlin (crabmeat & asparagus w/chilean tuna & wasabi sauce on the outside) rolls as well as the Dewalt tataki (perfectly seared tuna with a spicy peppered crust served with strips of cucumber & mango). The shrimp Shumai roll appetizer & seaweed salad are also great, and even the miso soup & side salad w/sesame dressing are both awesome! The service isn't always the fastest or most attentive, but the staff's friendliness makes up for that, especially the sushi chefs - they are always so nice & welcoming and have no problem with requests to make changes to the sushi. I hate to be seated in any of their dining rooms but in the sushi bar room b\c they don't have a printed version of the specialty rolls listed on the chalkboard walls behind the bar (or if they do, they don't offer/share it if you're seated in any of the other dining rooms). You can always wander over to check it out, or order off the standard sushi menu or the Thai food menu. While I haven't tried a lot of the Thai food because I can't go there and not get sushi, I've only heard great things about it, especially the drunken noodles. I highly recommend San Sushi & will continue to go back as often as I can!!

I love this sushi and I love the servers. It's fun and family oriented and you can tell the community loves this place from all the christmas cards they have around the place. The last time I was there, I saw two different beetle-looking bugs crawling on the sushi bar and have yet to go back. Maybe it was the weather?

Absolutely terrible. My wife and I went for a large lunch today. There was no hostess so we just walked around for a while until somebody told us to find a seat. I waited ten minutes for anybody to show up with a menu before I got up and walked around and found a menu myself. Another ten minutes went by. I got up and found a server and told him we were ready to order. Up to this point he still had not even come to our table with water. We ordered sushi and a $6 chicken skewer appetizer. The chicken was overcooked and tasteless and there were only four gross chunks of chicken on the skewer, which we didn't finish cuz it was so gross. The sushi was bad too unfortunately. Very lazily prepped, the rice was gummy and dry and the ends of the rolls were not filled, just grossly mashed up seaweed and rice. At first I was really frustrated with the experience, but about halfway through my wife and I started enjoying how hilariously bad everything about this restaurant was.

I've been coming here for 15 years. I've brought my entire family, including out of state family & friends. EVERY single one of them says it is some of the best, most fresh sushi they've ever had. The specialty rolls are our favorite (the ones on the chalk board) & also the pad Thai! We've tried just about everything on the menu & want to thank the owner, Bruce, for providing the best sushi in MD & in general to us. Great service, great food! You know this place is great if you can ask the chefs to make you something on the spot just by telling them a little about your tastes and they do it well every time! 5 stars for sure!!!

I went here and ordered sushi and tempura with miso soup. The tempura was very oily. The appeal of Japanese tempura is you dont taste the grease even though its deep fried. The miso soup was ok except for the toufu which was very sour. The sushi was very bad. So poorly made that it fell apart. The temperature of the sushi was too high. And there was too much sweet sauce poured on it. The staff was quite inattentive. The atmosphere was ok. And seemed clean.

This is great sushi- if you sit at the sushi bar and order directly from the chef there. The fish has always been high-quality and wonderfully prepared. Otherwise, be prepared to be forgotten if you're sitting at a table. Our server "went on a break" (that's what another server told us when one of our party got up out of his seat to wave him down for drink refills, napkins and a missing sushi roll) for an hour.

Wasn't impressed with this place. My husband heard about San Sushi through his boss who gave decent reviews. The soy sauce dish they handed me still had wasabi globs on it (GROSS). My husband ordered salmon nigiri and it tasted the complete opposite of fresh. Our waiter was good on the refills but didn't really seem to care about much else. I'd walk right past this joint in a heartbeat -- not the worst sushi but I left feeling completely dissatisfied.

This spot is pretty authentic.. Great sushi, nice atmosphere. They made standard rolls custom to my ladys tastes, which is always nice! The wabi sabi environment is enjoyable and quirky...They could be a little better about about Gluten awareness and options.

San Sushi is my favorite sushi spot in Baltimore. Love the full Thai menu as well. Everything on the menu I've had is good. Everything! Definitely check out this gem in Towson.

The miso soup was salty, the salad with ginger dressing was drenched. The sushi wasn't as fresh as it should be and the server wasn't that friendly. I'd pick Nanami over this any day, every day, all day.

I come here a lot, convenient location. I usually park in the lot behind the restaurant and come through the backdoor. They do a rocking sushi business here, so the food is always fresh. Service is tight and prices are very reasonable. Ask for Bruce and have him prepare you something special.

I've been here quite a few times but last night was a stand out time. We sat at the sushi bar as always and one of the owner's brothers happened to be making sushi. We began talking with him (he's from Pittsburgh but don't hold that against him ) and talking about how long they've been in business and their other location in Canton, etc. There is a plethora of special roll choices written on the chalk board behind the sushi bar. You can't go wrong with any of those rolls. We decided to order the sashimi combination and as an added extra we got to sample 5 different sauces to go with the sashimi. There was a wasabi cream sauce, wasabi teriyaki, a vinegar sauce, ginger teriyaki, and one other that has slipped my mind. Anyway, it was the first time I had tried sashimi with any other sauce besides the traditional soy sauce mixed with wasabi. The staff is always friendly and the fish is beyond fresh. This is my go to sushi place in the County

Most excellent food! The soups are all spectacular. Sushi is fresh and delicious with a wide variety to please every palate. The Thai offerings are made to order, watch out when asking for extra spicy unless that's exactly what you want. Owner is very nice. Service can be a bit slow but well forth the wait!!

This place is terrible, I don't understand why it has four stars on yelp. We've been here twice, because we bought two Livingsocials at once based on good reviews. The food tastes okay, but the presentation is just absolutely terrible. I feel like the chef put no thought into the presentation whatsoever, and just one look at the plate will extinguish any desire that you have to eat. For example, for the Japanese Seafood Nabe udon, there was a significant amount of seafood so that was to be commended. But the problem is that the whole presentation just looked dull. All the seafood was white, so were the udon noodles. The broth was white, and then instead of using bokchoy or spinach which may add some color, they chose to use napa cabbage. As a result, the entire soup looked white, without any brightness whatsoever. I understand that bokchoy may not be the traditional ingredient used in nabe udon, but what about seaweed, or scallions, or shredded carrots, or some artificial crabmeat that appears red? On top of all this, they chose to serve the noodles in a pot that has almost half the paint scratched off. It's embarrassing. It's very obvious that the chef did not put any thought in the presentation of the food. Let's analyze another dish. The pad thai. The traditional Thai staple. They managed to mess up this one, which I think is beyond embarrassing. We ordered the shrimp pad thai which had fried tofu in it. Fried tofu is great in the sense that it is able to soak up a lot of flavor and sauce from the rest of the dish. However, when I bit into the fried tofu, it was completely dry and devoid of flavor. I think they needed to add the fried tofu earlier in the cooking process, instead of throwing it in at the end. Also, this pad thai had no bean sprouts, or cilantro, or peanuts. It basically completely missed the boat on the soul of pad thai. I've also had the drunken noodles. Presentation was once again a complete flop. It only had two colors: brown and green. Instead of Thai basil, they used Chinese broccoli. They really need to think about using some multi-colored tomatoes or peppers to give it some color and flavor. Finally their sushi. The fish did not appear fresh and the whole presentation of the sushi was just...in one word, lifeless. This restaurant honestly needs a lot of work. I sincerely hope the owner or the chef will read this review.

Meh.... Sushi rice was warm, the crab is low quality. Wife ordered pad Thai which was not edible because they put in too much fish sauce. Overall sushi is okay. Service Is really bad, one couple walked out after waiting 10 mins for a server after being seated. I won't come back.

Today my wife and I helped a dear friend move into Hampton Plaza Appts, what an awesome view...after moving 75 boxes and unknown amount of furniture I was starving. The group of us decided we wanted Sushi and Thai...so we opted to try San Sushi Too. San Sushi is a quaint restaurant not too far from the Towson Court Complex. San Sushi and the Thai restaurant (Thai One On) are really one restaurant with two front doors but they are connected in the back. We entered through Thai One On, but sat in San Sushi's side. The ambiance was nice with lots of fish murals on the one side and the menu of the day on the other wall with oriental art. Our waitress was a cute little waif of a girl. Our friend has terrible food restrictions and this waitress was awesome and made appropriate suggestions that allowed our friend to enjoy a nice meal without aggravating her IBS. I ordered the "Combination" Pad Thai (Tofu, Chicken, & Shrimp). This was awesome, with just the right amount of peanut flavor that accented the meal but did not overwhelm the other ingredients. The serving size was huge... I mean my plate could easily has served 2.5 people without difficulties. My only complaint was that it could have used a little more heat. My wife ordered Chicken Curry, which was listed as being spicy, but my wife asked to have it made more mild. Her dish was chock full of chicken, but in my opinion, she shouldn't have asked to make it mild until after she had tried it the first time. The mildness of the dish definitely cried for more kick and burn. Overall we had a great experience, and the food was good. One of our companions had Drunken Noodles and said that he should have asked to have them fixed "extra" spicy. When we have a chance we will definitely eat here again!!

HAIR IN THE FOOD!! Went to eat before the movies. Ordered the Key West Roll and a Vegas Roll (a special roll for the night). My husband ordered teriyaki chicken which came with salad. The salad came out and as he was eating, noticed a hair. We informed the waitress and she brought a new one. She was more upset that we would think it was HERS, instead of apologizing. Then my sushi came out and as I was eating, noticed another hair in it! Informed the waitress yet again and she apologized, got me a new roll and then came back and asked, "you know this is NOT my hair, mine is tied back!" I don't care who the hair belonged to, bottom line is, I don't want it in my food. After we finished, they brought the check and I was sure they would comp us something since there was hair in 2 of our items, but they did not. They did not offer any further apologies which was very disappointing. The sushi was falling apart as I tried to eat it, very poorly put together. I would not come back again!!!

Thanks to Bruce and the crew for the platters for our Mother's Day celebration!!! Bruce took our headcount and came up with two platters of yummy selections that were gobbled up by all. A perfect balance of sashimi and rolls.

On a lovely Friday evening in the summer we asked to be seated outside. The waiter disgruntingly told the hostess "fine ill take them." After waiting for 10 minutes, we left our menus and waters on the table and walked ourselves across the street to the rotating sushi bar. 15 minutes into our meal at the rotating sushi bar, we see the menus and waters still on the table. Good thing we weren't starving and waited! Never coming back again

Would give it three stars, but the current rating on yelp is WAAAAY to high. This place is "meh" at best. My god man - soooooo many better sushi restaurants in the area why would you ever go here? Edo sushi, green leaf, umi sake just to name a few! Save yourself and try one of those places instead. It's not that this place is bad, it's just not good either.

For shellfish allergists, they have a nice menu of fish sushi which was decent. The drunken noodles were tasty and thick with good consistency but had some stringy leaves. One of them got caught in my throat. Whoops near death! Service was great.

Visited with someone who is allergic to shellfish. Who knows why? Though, I was unable to order what I wanted, I did enjoy what I ended up with. The Thom Yum Kai soup- chicken and mushrooms in lemongrass, the asparagus rolls, and hot green tea. I was reasonably satisfied with all three. and with the very personable staff. I felt like we were old friends. I look forward to returning soon when I can get what I really want.

I did not care for this place at all. One it's really expensive, Two the rolls aren't very good, and Three all the specialty rolls are all scribbled illegibly on a chalk board. Our party was seated 2 rooms over so we had to get up and stare awkwardly at this giant board for about 10 mins trying to figure out what we wanted. It's also behind the bar so we were leering over people while they were eating.

3.5 stars. Good restaurant for Thai food (we did not try any of the sushi plates). The drunken noodles (menu item N2) were very tasty and can be ordered with your choice of meat or fish. We had them with chicken, and have to say that the amount of chicken was more generous than what we normally get with drunken noodles at other restaurants. The duck curry (menu item C5, 'Gaeng Ped') was also good, but not quite as tasty as the drunken noodles. There was also a bit less duck meat than there was chicken in the drunken noodles. For dessert we had the black rice with coconut flesh and it was delicious; sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Service was good; polite and friendly, perhaps a bit slow on occasion. Very reasonably priced - two entrees, one desert, one glass of wine, and one iced tea our final bill was $44 incl tax before adding a tip.

So I went there with a guest and the waiter literally gave us the worst service I've ever experienced. He was pushy and rushed us, giving us the check way too early (mid meal). I will say the food was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend going here only in hopes that you get a different waiter.

I'll keep this short and sweet. Had a bunch of different rolls and eel nigiri. It's decent sushi - nothing to rave about but nothing to dismiss. If you're in the area already, it's a decent stop if you want sushi. Just don't expect to be blown away. The service was good and the restaurant looks nice and is a comfy, casual place to get some sushi.

San Sushi Too / Thai One On is a gem for Towson. I usually go for lunch and let me tell you, you can get a great two course lunch for under $9 with tip, at a sit down place. That's pretty good for Towson. The format is part sushi bar, part Thai place. I don't know if I've ever had the sushi, but I love the Thai. Most recently I had the Chicken Ka Prow. The lunch special is the best deal in town. For $6-9 you get a soup (either Miso or Lemongrass) and an entree. The thai entrees come with rice. Decor is nice, quiet, and cozy. It is nothing fancy, though the fish tank is cool. Check it out if you're looking for a good, inexpensive meal.

Great food had the Dragon roll and HIRAN roll. Nice atmosphere. Beware when using the GPS will take you to the back which looks sketchy but don't let it turn you away you can still get in from the back. Will definitely go again.

My friend and I were going to Kyodai, but they were closed and we wanted sushi so we walked across the street to San Sushi and got a table for two. The restaurant was less than half full and a server came over to us immediately. He was very friendly and attentive and took our drink order while we looked over the menu. We decided to split three rolls: salmon avocado, Maryland, and spicy tuna. While we waited for our food, we realized how quiet it was in the restaurant. There were about three other tables seated, but it was really quiet and then we realized that there wasn't any background music on. We didn't wait long for our food, but the music-less atmosphere sure made it seem like we waited for an hour. The rolls came out and they were good, but not the best I've had. Put enough wasabi on sushi and it's all good. ;-) This restaurant is actually called Thai One On/San Sushi Too and it's two restaurants in one. They serve both sushi and Thai food. I am looking for a place with good pad Thai, so I'll come back to try it.

We went for lunch on a Groupon deal and were very impressed. Food was fresh and delicious and the service was great. The duck curry was some of the best I have had and my family said the maki was quite good. Validated parking across the street.

If I don't trust a place enough to even try a California roll, then you already know it's bad. I went the really safe route and got two cucumber rolls. And they were really not good. I'm a fan of cucumber. I like how they crunch, how fresh they taste, and I also like the color green. These cucumbers did not crunch, they were not fresh tasting, but they were green. So frankly, if you can't even do a cucumber rolls right, why would I bother ever going back there to try other things.

Best, most creative sushi in Baltimore...I don't know where the other reviewers were eating, sounds like it was during the recent renovation and NOT sitting in the room with the sushi bar, which is really the only place to sit because where else can you 1) eat sushi and watch a Ravens game 2) hear the entertaining banter of sushi chefs Air, Pong, and Mr. Lee and 3) if you make an impression, you never know, you could have a roll named after you (I've always wondered who inspired the Grumpy roll). The best most creative rolls are only listed on the blackboards behind the sushi bar. The sushi menu that comes to the table is maybe only 1/3 of the rolls they make, so if you can't see the blackboard don't be shy and take a stroll to the sushi bar to check out what they really have to offer.

I love...love....love...this place. I'm new to San Sushi Too, and I'm looking forward to going back many times. We had various sushi rolls and I could not get enough. Very casual and laid back atmosphere is just what the doctor ordered.

So the sushi here isn't bad. In fact, its actually sort of good. Problem is, so was your mom, and I didn't give her five stars either. We got here, and requested a table for four. We were told that it would be a few minutes, and were told to sit on a couch in the building next door. So we sat in a couch in no man's land, waiting for our table. After about ten minutes, we were seated at the table. As we sat down, the waiter took the sushi order card from our table and gave it to the table next door. I don't know what he was thinking - I convinced him to get us another, and to give us a pen so that we could write down our order. We got edamame and some rolls. Quite some time later, the edamame showed up. It appeared to be quite freezer-burned. Not really all that fresh. Maybe 20 minutes later, our sushi came out. I had one of those rolls with a whole bunch of things in it (salmon, crab, etc...) It was good, but probably not worth the wait. Overall, the service is inattentive to the point of neglect, the sushi is good, and nothing else really distinguishes the restaurant.

My boss and I come here all the time for lunch. I don't eat sushi, so I always get their Thai food. I like their pad thai and gaeng dang curry. My boss loves their sushi. Service is always good and the owner is very nice. I've definitely had better Thai, but this place is pretty darn good.
(3)
Mike W.
The sushi was fresh and tasty, but nothing to write home about. The selection was fairly limited as well, with most of the rolls consisting of salmon, tuna, or crab. My wife had the Chicken Pad Thai from Thai One On. She also declared it "nothing special." But the service was prompt, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere undeniably friendly. If this place was around the corner, we'd probably end up here a lot, but it's not really worth a drive.

Great Thai food, great sushi. Best Pad Thai Shrimp in town. I have a friend from Thailand that moved here from New York, and he said from all the Thai places he tried in Baltimore, this one is as close to Thai food as you can get. I have tried many other Thai restaurants in the city, and nothing is compared to the dishes this place has. Their sushi are great. Definitely feels like they use a good quality fish and other ingredients.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant hoping to have some delicious sushi! Unfortunately, I couldn't order sushi for two reasons: 1. I have awful eye sight and could not read the chalkboard with all of the specialty rolls. I asked for a paper menu with all of the specialty rolls listed, and they said the chalkboard was all that was available and it was part of the ambiance. Although a cool idea, it was not easy to read AT ALL. I did walk over and stand within ten feet of it and it was still very difficult to compare all of the ingredients unless I had a note pad to take notes. I even attempted to locate the restaurants website while sitting at the table to attempt to locate the sushi rolls with no avail. Note - they do give a small sheet of the simple sushi rolls in the menu. 2. After standing next to the chalkboard menu (literally), there were no prices listed??? We asked the waitress and she gave us round about prices; we learned the rolls ranged from $7-17, which is normal, but it is nice to know in advance of the rolls you are ordering. This whole process of deciding what sushi rolls to order was a bit stressful, so I opted to go with Thai food, which was excellent. I am not sure of what the exact item was called, but it was shrimp with green beans, basil and carrots and was the second item under the Thai items. I would highly recommend this dish, the shrimp was fresh and cooked well. It was nice that you can visit San Sushi Too and also order from Thai One On as well. I would visit again given a list of rolls WITH PRICES.

Really confused by all the low ratings for San Sushi Too. I haven't been in years and was wary to go back after reading some reviews, but after a recent visit for lunch, my confidence was restored. San Sushi delivered the always great service, creative rolls, and fresh delicious sushi I have come to love and expect from them. I cannot speak for the rest of the menu as I have not tried it, but why would you get anything else when you are here? Only 4 stars because the pricing is steep on some rolls and the parking is atrocious in this area of Towson. Definitely worth a visit though!

Good sushi and friendly staff. Atmosphere is nice and it fits in with all the sushi places in Towson except the rotating sushi bar across the street which is pretty awful. Best thing is their huge variety of creative rolls and their unusual types of fish. I personally like their sea urchin and and raw sweet shrimp/

I've been to San Sushi Too a few times and found it to be a pretty nice place. Your meal options expand greatly because it's partnered with Thai One On as two restaurants in one. The wall behind the sushi bar is a big blackboard with tons of yummy specials written on it. I do wish they had this information posted in the adjoining room or on menu handouts. If you're not seated with a view of the board, it's a bit of a production to get up, note what you'd like, and go back to the table to confer with your dining partners. Half the time, I forget which one's "the one with the spicy tuna" or whatever and have to pop back. But whatever! First world problems! It's quite possible that they change the board so often that printing hard copy menus over and over would be unfeasible. Food wise, I like many of their maki rolls (Rock and Roll comes to mind) and the gyoza. I especially like getting the tom yum kai when I have the sniffles; it's very strong, lemony and soothing to my throat and sinuses. And for once, I enjoy getting dessert at a sushi place! They have a coconut-black rice pudding that's to die for. I was a little disappointed to order a green tea and get a cup of tepid water with a tea bag soaking in it; I'll probably skip that next time and stick with the draft Kirin Ichiban, which complements the sushi beautifully. The service is just fine - not lightning-fast, coolly cordial, but they get your order right. The bathrooms are clean and the decor is attractive. My favorite sushi restaurant is still Edo Sushi up in Timonium, but it's pretty pricey. In terms of flavor and creativity, San Sushi Too's top-tier sushi is on par with Edo's mid-range sushi, making SST is a solid, more affordable place for sushi in Towson.

This place is decent. The sushi is pretty good, however the sushi chef is beyond obnoxious. My wife and I mistakenly sat at the sushi bar which apparently meant we had to listen to the chef's (Bruce) opinion on everything. He completely ruined our experience by continuously interjecting into our conversation. The other servers were wonderful, the atmosphere was great, and the food was prepared pretty quickly. We would have given it a four star, but Bruce truly ruined it for us.

This place was ok. Nothing special, rolls were good but over priced. The Alaska roll is stuffed more than most places and was really good.

HUGE sushi selection available. Don't just rely on the paper menus, be sure to check out the chalkboard wall behind the sushi station to get some other ideas. The thai food is pretty good here as well. The place has limited seating, so keep that in mind for when you plan to stop in!

I love this place. It is affordable, and the food is great. I go for the sushi only...and it does not disappoint. The sushi bar seating is fun...just to watch them make it, and the ones behind the bar always are friendly to me when I go! I even get takeout and it is just as good!

San Sushi Too is remarkable for it's graphic art painted on the walls, of shark sushi chefs and underwater scenes. The house salad with ginger dressing satiates my appetite for these japanese-style greens, but the spider roll and spicy tuna left a bit to be desired. But again, not bad for Baltimore. Service was fair and I'd go back if in the neighborhood running errands, and also to check out their attached Thai restaurant, tongue-in-cheek-ly named Thai One On.

I am no expert but I do enjoy sushi a lot. San Sushi Too is my favorite sushi I have had in Baltimore. I go there about once or twice per month and am very happy with the quality, the service, and the price. I highly recommend San Sushi Too.

While one would usually not think of Baltimore as a great sushi town, it does have on really great place. San Sushi offers great rolls which includes many local creations and best of all if you need to kick it up a few steps you can order some thai on the side (which i will have to say goes much better than pancakes which you will find at other sushi spots in Baltimore). That said, each of the rolls i tried were solid and the fish was fresh ---- and they use great rice! My only complaint is that the service sucks (which of course leaves you more time to eat sushi!)! So if you have a few hours drop by San Sushi - maybe slow service isnt that bad of a thing.

I have frequented San Sushi Too / Thai One On for many years now. I love ordering a new Special Roll from the Blackboard wall behind the sushi bar. They have high-quality fish and creative specials which keep me coming back. Also, I enjoy mixing it up and sometimes ordering a single roll to get my "fix" and then having a Thai dish for my entree. Very friendly, personable staff and excellent, "over the top" service was displayed recently when a restaurant across the street caught fire causing the street to close and be blocked by fire trucks. The person on the phone explained the situation and offered to meet me at a nearby parking lot that was very convenient and made it easy to get food when it would have otherwise been a big pain! Highly recommended!

Wow. I am really surprised at how many bad reviews this place got. I went there for the first time 3 years ago on my first date with my current boyfriend. And since then we have gone back many times. They are almost always busy so there is a slight wait for your food to arrive, but it is well worth the wait. They have such unique sushi rolls like the grumpy roll or the dynamite roll. Yummy. Their miso soup is one of the best I have ever had. And if you go one a weekend during the night they have a great Mai Tai too.

this place has never been less than 5 stars for me. For starters, when they say something is spicy, it's SPICY! Other places think Anglos can't take the heat, but san sushi isn't afraid to turn the burn on. The duck salad is the best. The beef salad rocks too. the sushi is awesome. And the thai food is hands down the best in town. How they do it all, and do it all so exceptioonally, is a mystery to me. But i'm not complaining!

My Hubby an I went out with another couple last night and after seeing a movie at the Towson Commons we ahead across the street to this place where it is 2 restaurants in 1. The prices are reasonable, around $5 for a maki roll, and the service is good. You have to try a Thai Iced Tea (Thia tea topped with coconut milk- stir and enjoy!!!) First we started with some sushi and it was very well prepared. I ordered the Japanese Bagel (smoked salmon and cream cheese)- we also got the Philadelphia roll (smoked salmon, cucumber and cream cheese) and the volcano roll (Shrimp, crab stick, cucmber, avocado, and the almighty volcano sauce). I can't recall the name of two of the dishes that we ordered ( I think one of them was the #3 on the Thai main menu). One was a 2 pepper and the other was 3 pepper. I had the Pad Thai which was the best I had ever had! Our waiter was busy but was good. My friend asked if they could change the chicken to duck and he said he would try- it work. They dont stamp for parking- however when he asked he said he would try- he ran across the street to another restaurant and got them to stamp for us. I will be going back again!!

My boss and I come here all the time for lunch. I don't eat sushi, so I always get their Thai food. I like their pad thai and gaeng dang curry. My boss loves their sushi. Service is always good and the owner is very nice. I've definitely had better Thai, but this place is pretty darn good.

HUGE sushi selection available. Don't just rely on the paper menus, be sure to check out the chalkboard wall behind the sushi station to get some other ideas. The thai food is pretty good here as well. The place has limited seating, so keep that in mind for when you plan to stop in!

The waiter is super nice and the sushi/rolls are also great. The price is very fair. I highly recommend key west roll with conch inside which is wonderful. However, the Thai ice tea has no tea flavor at all and tastes just like sugar milk so please don't try that.

For shellfish allergists, they have a nice menu of fish sushi which was decent. The drunken noodles were tasty and thick with good consistency but had some stringy leaves. One of them got caught in my throat. Whoops near death! Service was great.

The waiter is super nice and the sushi/rolls are also great. The price is very fair. I highly recommend key west roll with conch inside which is wonderful. However, the Thai ice tea has no tea flavor at all and tastes just like sugar milk so please don't try that.

My favorite Sushi place around. Huge selection. Speedy service. Great tasting food. Great atmosphere for a date night.

Think it's the best sushi in the area, great rolls, vide variety of mostly raw fish which is great, very friendly staff behind sushi bar just not the best service sitting at sushi bar, love this place

Good place for takeout. Many of the rolls are not listed online. You need to go in and look at the ones listed on the wall. There is outdoor seating but not a lot. Good sushi for a reasonable price.

Ordered Udon carry out & they put the noodle in the broth so that it get soggy! Pad Thai was ok. Prices were high for less than average food! Will never return again.

My boss and I come here all the time for lunch. I don't eat sushi, so I always get their Thai food. I like their pad thai and gaeng dang curry. My boss loves their sushi. Service is always good and the owner is very nice. I've definitely had better Thai, but this place is pretty darn good.

Sorry, Store hours have not been updated. If you are the owner of this restaurants. Please update the store hours.

(3)Sidney T.

(4)Claire L.

(5)Ken A.
(1)Christa G.
(3)Erin D.
(2)Ryan B.
This spot is pretty authentic.. Great sushi, nice atmosphere. They made standard rolls custom to my ladys tastes, which is always nice! The wabi sabi environment is enjoyable and quirky...They could be a little better about about Gluten awareness and options.
(4)Carol C.
San Sushi is my favorite sushi spot in Baltimore. Love the full Thai menu as well. Everything on the menu I've had is good. Everything! Definitely check out this gem in Towson.
(5)Devonshire B.
The miso soup was salty, the salad with ginger dressing was drenched. The sushi wasn't as fresh as it should be and the server wasn't that friendly. I'd pick Nanami over this any day, every day, all day.
(2)Andrew R.
I come here a lot, convenient location. I usually park in the lot behind the restaurant and come through the backdoor. They do a rocking sushi business here, so the food is always fresh. Service is tight and prices are very reasonable. Ask for Bruce and have him prepare you something special.
(4)Shannon B.
(5)Lisa B.
(5)Wen W.
(1)Kyle D.

(1)Mehmed M.
(2)Leesa T.
Amazing sushi. Very fresh, can't wait to go back. The servers were very nice, and helpful.
(4)Mike F.
For shellfish allergists, they have a nice menu of fish sushi which was decent. The drunken noodles were tasty and thick with good consistency but had some stringy leaves. One of them got caught in my throat. Whoops near death! Service was great.
(3)Kara W.

(2)Francisco M.
(4)Garrett G.
The best Thai food this side of the planet! Sushi is great too! Have dinner and stay for the party at the B Lounge :)
(5)Noelle C.
Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Menu has Thai and Japanese selections as well as great sushi. My wife is vegetarian and lives that they have several yummy options for her as well. Reasonably priced.
(4)Jim C.
So I went there with a guest and the waiter literally gave us the worst service I've ever experienced. He was pushy and rushed us, giving us the check way too early (mid meal). I will say the food was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend going here only in hopes that you get a different waiter.
(3)Marivic L.
(3)Elliott P.
(4)Chris O.

(3)Jeremy R.
We went for lunch on a Groupon deal and were very impressed. Food was fresh and delicious and the service was great. The duck curry was some of the best I have had and my family said the maki was quite good. Validated parking across the street.
(4)Lauren S.
(2)Jina J.
Ordered Udon carry out & they put the noodle in the broth so that it get soggy! Pad Thai was ok. Prices were high for less than average food! Will never return again.

(5)Paul W.
I love...love....love...this place. I'm new to San Sushi Too, and I'm looking forward to going back many times. We had various sushi rolls and I could not get enough. Very casual and laid back atmosphere is just what the doctor ordered.
(4)Dana L.
(2)Mike S.
My boss and I come here all the time for lunch. I don't eat sushi, so I always get their Thai food. I like their pad thai and gaeng dang curry. My boss loves their sushi. Service is always good and the owner is very nice. I've definitely had better Thai, but this place is pretty darn good.
(3)Mike W.
(3)Russ I.
(5)Jackie L.
(3)Stefanie C.
(4)Ben U.
(4)Stephanie M.
(3)Robert K.
(2)Kate D.
This place was ok. Nothing special, rolls were good but over priced. The Alaska roll is stuffed more than most places and was really good.
(3)Stephanie B.
HUGE sushi selection available. Don't just rely on the paper menus, be sure to check out the chalkboard wall behind the sushi station to get some other ideas. The thai food is pretty good here as well. The place has limited seating, so keep that in mind for when you plan to stop in!
(3)Beth M.
I love this place. It is affordable, and the food is great. I go for the sushi only...and it does not disappoint. The sushi bar seating is fun...just to watch them make it, and the ones behind the bar always are friendly to me when I go! I even get takeout and it is just as good!
(5)John R.
My favorite Sushi place around. Huge selection. Speedy service. Great tasting food. Great atmosphere for a date night.
(5)tania t.
(3)Peter E.
I am no expert but I do enjoy sushi a lot. San Sushi Too is my favorite sushi I have had in Baltimore. I go there about once or twice per month and am very happy with the quality, the service, and the price. I highly recommend San Sushi Too.
(5)Nate K.
(4)Ryan S.
(5)Anne B.
(4)john f.
this place has never been less than 5 stars for me.
(5)Bryan A.
Think it's the best sushi in the area, great rolls, vide variety of mostly raw fish which is great, very friendly staff behind sushi bar just not the best service sitting at sushi bar, love this place
(4)Joe B.
Good place for takeout. Many of the rolls are not listed online. You need to go in and look at the ones listed on the wall. There is outdoor seating but not a lot. Good sushi for a reasonable price.
(4)J Y.
honestly ive been coming here for more than 10 years and i can truly say that the whole menu is good.

The waiter is super nice and the sushi/rolls are also great. The price is very fair. I highly recommend key west roll with conch inside which is wonderful. However, the Thai ice tea has no tea flavor at all and tastes just like sugar milk so please don't try that.

(4)Chris O.
Great food had the Dragon roll and HIRAN roll. Nice atmosphere. Beware when using the GPS will take you to the back which looks sketchy but don't let it turn you away you can still get in from the back. Will definitely go again.
(4)Kyle D.

(3)Jeremy R.
We went for lunch on a Groupon deal and were very impressed. Food was fresh and delicious and the service was great. The duck curry was some of the best I have had and my family said the maki was quite good. Validated parking across the street.
(4)Lauren S.
(2)Anton S.
(1)Noelle C.
(3)Ryan B.
(5)Erin D.
(2)Christa G.
(3)Leesa T.
(3)Jessica M.
(2)Carla S.
We had dinner there last night and as always everything was outstanding! We go there at least once every 10 days. Their sushi is amazing!
(5)Tim W.
Thanks to Bruce and the crew for the platters for our Mother's Day celebration!!! Bruce took our headcount and came up with two platters of yummy selections that were gobbled up by all. A perfect balance of sashimi and rolls.
(4)Julia L.
(1)Mehmed M.
(2)Kara W.
(4)Kelly B.
(2)Francisco M.
(4)Garrett G.
The best Thai food this side of the planet! Sushi is great too! Have dinner and stay for the party at the B Lounge :)
(5)Samantha M.

(3)Claire L.
I love this sushi and I love the servers. It's fun and family oriented and you can tell the community loves this place from all the christmas cards they have around the place. The last time I was there, I saw two different beetle-looking bugs crawling on the sushi bar and have yet to go back. Maybe it was the weather?
(3)Michelle T.
(5)Jessica N.
(4)Ken A.

At first I was really frustrated with the experience, but about halfway through my wife and I started enjoying how hilariously bad everything about this restaurant was.

This spot is pretty authentic.. Great sushi, nice atmosphere. They made standard rolls custom to my ladys tastes, which is always nice! The wabi sabi environment is enjoyable and quirky...They could be a little better about about Gluten awareness and options.

San Sushi is my favorite sushi spot in Baltimore. Love the full Thai menu as well. Everything on the menu I've had is good. Everything! Definitely check out this gem in Towson.
(5)Shannon B.
(5)Lisa B.

(1)Devonshire B.
(4)Kyle D.

(4)Kelly B.
(2)Jessica M.

(1)Mehmed M.
(3)Kara W.
(4)Francisco M.
(4)Garrett G.
The best Thai food this side of the planet! Sushi is great too! Have dinner and stay for the party at the B Lounge :)
(5)Christina H.
(3)Jeremy R.
We went for lunch on a Groupon deal and were very impressed. Food was fresh and delicious and the service was great. The duck curry was some of the best I have had and my family said the maki was quite good. Validated parking across the street.
(4)Lauren S.
(2)Russ I.
(5)Jackie L.
(3)Stefanie C.
(4)Ben U.
(4)John R.
My favorite Sushi place around. Huge selection. Speedy service. Great tasting food. Great atmosphere for a date night.
(5)Mike W.
(3)Stephanie M.
(3)Robert K.
(5)Ryan S.
(5)Anne B.
(4)john f.
this place has never been less than 5 stars for me.
(5)Jina J.
Ordered Udon carry out & they put the noodle in the broth so that it get soggy! Pad Thai was ok. Prices were high for less than average food! Will never return again.
(1)Mike S.
My boss and I come here all the time for lunch. I don't eat sushi, so I always get their Thai food. I like their pad thai and gaeng dang curry. My boss loves their sushi. Service is always good and the owner is very nice. I've definitely had better Thai, but this place is pretty darn good.
(3)Melissa J.
(5)Paul W.
I love...love....love...this place. I'm new to San Sushi Too, and I'm looking forward to going back many times. We had various sushi rolls and I could not get enough. Very casual and laid back atmosphere is just what the doctor ordered.
(4)Dana L.
(2)Jessica L.

(3)Peter E.
I am no expert but I do enjoy sushi a lot. San Sushi Too is my favorite sushi I have had in Baltimore. I go there about once or twice per month and am very happy with the quality, the service, and the price. I highly recommend San Sushi Too.
(5)Nate K.
