Not only do they have the best pizza in the area, but they also have great pasta like gnocchi and stuffed shells. Very quick service. Lack of seating is often a problem if you dine in, but I usually call in my order and pick it up.

The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the dining area is clean. There are a bunch of different types of pizza to choose from by the slice and they're all delicious. I go to this place on a regular basis. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for NY/NJ pizza, this is the only place in Baltimore to go. Baltimore hands down has the worst pizza selection in the midatlantic. I mean awful. This place is the only place we will order pizza from. They don't deliver, but the pizza is worth a drive. Fast service and good selection. Their standard cheese pizza is fantastic. 3 locations: Canton, Timonium and Towson.

We've searched and searched for just decent pizza around towson/baltimore(without going downtown to Johnny Rads;)). this is BY FAR the BEST pizza we've had since Milano's closed in parkville. I would drive 30 minutes to get this pizza if I had to-it's that damn good! True NY style and great mozzarella sticks!!! Thank you!!!! Please keep this pizza the same forever:):)):)

I'm from New York so I think i can be snobby when it comes to a good ol' pizza pie. I'll be honest, anywhere I go that's not NY for pizza I think to myself "c'mon, how good can it actually be..." and let me just tell you: Pasta Mista does not disappoint. Whenever I'm in the mood for pizza, I'll go here over anywhere else. The chicken parm slice needs some more flavor, but the regular pie, the Sicilian... good coming out hot. Only bad thing I can say is that the meatballs don't taste/seem home-made, I'm thinking they're coming out of a bag. Please tell me Pasta Mista that this ain't true!

Great NY style pizza! tons of different varieties; at least a dozen kinds when I was there a few weeks ago. I can eat 2 of the slices if I am starving, but 1 holds me over very well. Pizza plus root beer = the best. I had a margharita slice with tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and i had my eye on a few others. Will be back to try their pastas. Quick service and tables for sitting down.

Great pizza in Towson, and a variety to choose from as well. I have also had an overstuffed italian cold cut sub which was pretty decent. Place is very small though and you may not have a place to sit down if you're wanting to eat in.

Best pizza hands down in the area when it comes to healthy choices! (In my opinion at least) I always order the white veggie that is served with juicy ripe tomatoes, broccoli, spinach and garlic seasoning. The slices are huge and the employees are always fast, friendly and in good spirits!

Let me start by saying what fond memories I have of this place. I went to Baltimore to see my old Uni Goucher, and stopping by Pasta Mista is a ritual for my friends and I. The place has gotten far bigger than I remember it, but the taste is always out of this world. I heard they opened up another one in Canton in the city - lucky lucky Baltimore. I usually roll with the gnocchi, but at the time I was feeling the chicken parm pizza and a slice of the ol' standby ... plain cheese. It is an epic journey each time, and simply delicious. I live in NYC, there's good pizza here clearly, but for me and maybe it is a dash of nostalgia, but Mista pizza will always be the best. Can't wait for the next time I come to visit!

I've been to Pasta Mista a handful of times. I typically order pizza or the eggplant parm sub. THE GOOD... -eggplant subs are pretty good -cannolis are good -the cheese pizza is one of my faves -carryout is pretty quick and easy -fair prices -carry-out is simple -staff is friendly THE BAD... -using canned mushrooms on pizza is a major foul in my eyes Overall Pasta Mista has grown on me. It is close, convenient and the cheese pizza is something I look forward to!

I ordered a cheesesteak with everything. The meat was moist, the bread was relatively dry, and the cheese was plentiful. The peppers and onions added to the overall meal. It tasted really good, but it was only an average size. I then tried a slice of buffalo chicken pizza which was large, crunchy, cheesy, and had just the right amount of buffalo sauce. The prices are reasonable here, and the menu should please anyone looking for a fast Italian meal.

Came through for the pickup. Food was ready fairly quickly, about 10-15 minutes. Pizza is about a 3.7 (shoutout to the extra fresh mozzarella and pepperoni they use, a little torn on the crust), but the pasta, namely the Potato Gnocchi is pretty solid. Looking forward to getting back and trying some more of their dishes.

The slices are thick and large and reasonable in taste. The choice of of pizzas is staggering to try to pick from. The place was clean and orderly and it was playing some italian music.

This is the soul-sibling of Sbarro's. You go in, you point at a slice (or request pasta), they heat it up and hand it to you. It's not bad, it's definitely better than Sbarro's. It's not worth leaving the mall for, and it isn't a real restaurant. When in doubt... you probably shouldn't take a first date here unless you're students and you're both familiar with the restaurant. Just saying ;) No really, the food was fine, I had the tortellini rose. It was plenty of food, came with garlic bread. I had to take half of it home, and I enjoyed it. Just... nothing to rave about.

This is the fast food chain of pizza place. All types of pizza are premade, sitting behind glass shelve for you to view. Once you have made your mind, the same display will go into the oven for a quick reheating. That said, it is not fresh. Only time it is fresh, it is when they run out, then they will make new fresh pizza. Taste wise, they're ok, nothing to sing about. They are a bit slow coming out though, so prepare to wait a bit. Dining area is small, and very few tables and chairs. It's odd that so many people standing around waiting to place order or waiting for food, while they hoover over the diners.

Pasta Mista became our primary food source when we were renovating our house and had no kitchen. Not exaggerating. Wide variety, lots of flavors - enough to be interesting, but not for the gourmande. It's casual, but one of the better places in the 'burbs. The salads are so generously proportioned, they're large enough to share. Pizzas are delicious and we love the eggplant options. Staff is very friendly. Great value, high quality, consistent execution. Carry out orders usually ready in 10-15 mins.

Delicious pizza with a nice variety of topping combos. We enjoy the chicken parm & chicken caesar pizzas most! Also love the tomato breadsticks! The boccelli salad is a tasty meal by itself - lots of veggies, grilled chicken & fresh greens with the house vinaigrette, which is quite tasty. The subs & pasta are good too, just a bit too saucy in my opinion. Plus the subs are fairly small for the price (they don't offer size options). Service is always very quick & super friendly! I wish they delivered - we'd order from there much more often!

Stopped here just on a whim to get a slice of pizza. I had the margherita an boy was it good! fresh tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. I am looking forward to going back. They have a huge selection of "different" pizza pies.

  • Elizabeth D.

A fun variety of pizza with pretty generous slices and toppings, though sometimes a little light on the "standards" - most days they're more likely to have chicken parmesan than pepperoni, which is fine by me but isn't for everybody. It can be crowded at lunchtime, but it's easy to take to go, and the staff are friendly and fairly quick.

Pasta Mista is a small locale chain that is starting to gain momentum as the best "quick and dirty" Italian food option. My use of the term "quick and dirty" is a compliment, as you can walk into Pasta Mista at any time of the day, and they can pump out whatever Italian dish or pizza option you need in minutes! What I Like: - Best pizza options around. I like their options better than California Pizza Kitchen. Maybe because they are large slices that offer a better price/portion fit with the same great flavors. - The store is always pretty darn clean despite the volume of people that frequent this site. It seems very well run to me. - Easy access. Huge parking lot here. Get in, get out. Eat. Or stick around and dine in. What I Don't Like: - When I use my Visa/MasterCard, I have to sign the receipt. I never spend more than $8. No other store asks me to do this for food. Why is this? Knock a few seconds off of your ordering process and eliminate this hassle. - Seating is tight, as it is a small place. It would be nice to see a few padded booths installed against the main wall where floating tables currently rest. - Waiting area becomes cramped when it is busy. You'll find yourself bleeding into the new customer line as you jockey to hear your order number called. Maybe some rope/string/tape-inspired zoning to help corral the herd? Overall, it is fast Italian food. And for this category, they do it very well. Give them a shot. There is great value and flavor to be had whether you try a new edgy pizza option, or try a classic like eggplant parmesan.

I've eaten from here several times since moving to Towson, both at home and in the store. The service is quick. The selection is good. The pizza is about the best "utility" style NY-style pizza you are going to find in this area. The sauce is just the right consistency and the crust is just chewy enough. My only complaint would be that their cheese is a little runnier than normal and the pizzas have to be handled very gently until the cheese has time to set. I'd also note that their online menu is hard to navigate, whereas their in-store menu is very clear. I'm dinging points for the runny cheese, the weird online menu, and the fact that the dining area had garlic out everywhere but no parmesan cheese.

The pizza is some of the best in the area. The greek salad could be improved. They are always fast and friendly with service and the prices are appropriate.

I've been swearing by this place since college. Best "by the slice" spot around and it's a quick stop. Although, you can order anything from Fresh Gnocchi to an Italian Cold Cut. Full disclosure it's kind of my guilty pleasure for a midday snack. My wife and I have "Pizza Night Fridays" we order from the Timonium location EVERY week.

Oh my goddess! This hit the spot. I got the chicken Ranch thin crust with the deep dish grande. Both were excellent. I love crunchy crust and the deep dish did it right, soft center with a crispy bottom. Service was fast and friendly. There is limited seating so might be hard to find a spot during the work lunch hour. I'll be back! Slices are $2.55. Don't worry they heat up the pizzas that are showcased.

  • Michael G.

My fiance and I got take out from here. The food was so under seasoned that the sauce tasted like plain canned tomatoes. If you're going to call yourself Italian food try and use a bit of garlic or oregano or basil or something. We will not be going back which is a shame because the location is convenient.

I've been a regular at Pasta Mista since the spring of 2001. It is the best pizza in Towson, if not all of Baltimore. Even their plain cheese pizza is delicious. They have many different types of slices available, which is perfect for lunch when you just want to grab a couple slices to go -- from the basic pepperoni to pesto, eggplant, white pizza, etc. They are all great. The pizza is so much better than any delivery place out there. The crust is thin with a nice crunch on the bottom but a good chew within. The sauce tastes like tomato, not overly herbed tomato paste. And the prices for such good pizza are great. It's been 14 years and I still go on a regular basis.

Simply Amazing I seem not to strike out thanks to Yelp, this place has great pizza. Not alot of seating but enough and its kid friendly, great staff and worth the drive if you dont live in towson.

I've been to the Canton Pasta Mista but since moving to Towson, I ventured out to try the Towson one and I must say that I think it is better. I ordered my usual white veggie pizza (one of my favorites) and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The vegetables used were fresh and the crust was the right consistency of chewy and crispy. I called ahead for take out and a whole large pizza was ready in about 15 minutes. Quick and yummy is a win in my book :)

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The customer service! The food! The atmosphere! Everything was great! The cashier convinced my to buy an Italian cheesesteak sub and I was skeptical but it was DELICIOUS! Also, everyone around was polite and there for good good! I heard if this place through a friend and I'm thankful because I'm coming back! Highly recommended!

Pizza by the Slice!!! Better still, NY Style Pizza by the slice. Pasta Mista, I've eaten here several times in the past, and really enjoy their pizza, which you can get by the slice!! There are about 15 different varieties of pizza available by the slice. There are no conveyor belts pizzas here, just old fashioned Pizza Oven pizzas, so the crust gets a nice crispy chewy texture. Today I enjoyed two different slices of pizza that I have not had in the past. I tried their Sicilian pizza that has a crust with a great chew and crunch along with a wonderful tomato sauce topped with a nice healthy amount of mozzarella. Also I had a slice of their Murillo (mushrooms, banana peppers, & onions) a sauce-less pizza with wonderful flavor (see pic). I had intended on eating only half of each slice as I am trying to watch my weight.... well that didn't work out, as I ended up eating both slices....and if I keep that up, I will be able to watch my weight in a different manner (looking at my belly sticking out)....LOL!!!! Both slices were awesome, hot crispy, and chewy, with lots of yummy stringy melty cheese. The banana peppers on the Murillo added just the right amount of zing. You gotta try this one, it is da bomb!!! Good counter service, authentic Italian atmosphere (Italian radio & service personnel all jabbering in Italian with heavy accents when speaking English...LOL!!!). Bottomless Fountain Coke products (coke zero) for those dinning in. Sandwiches, subs, salads, and pasta are all available as well, but I've only indulged in the pizza!!! While not the best, this place is more than good enough for me to keep coming back when I'm in the area.

Here's my breakdown on Pasta Mista This seems like a hole in the wall type pizza/carryout place. -The menu is not very vast or creative -There is no ambience, and everything is order at the counter for carryout or sit down -everything is fairly cheap -the pizza is overly greasy. So much that you can see through your paper plate by the end of the meal. Theres a good kind of greasy pizza but this is not it. -the appetizers aren't that high quality In the end, the place is for a very cheap bite to eat. But I wouldn't make it a point to come here on a regular basis. I heard good things about this place from other people so I was actually very let down in the end. I'll come back at some point but as I said it won't be a priority.

You don't have to be smart to realize that the workers just came off the boat from Naples. The staff has a thick accent and makes incredible pizza, which adds up to an amazing experience. The thin crust is incredible - flaky and chewy. The toppings are fresh, but the highlight of the pizza is the sauce. You can easily tell that they make it fresh - probably from some secret Italian recipe. It's really 'tomato-e' (if that's a word) and basically tastes amazing. Please get the pizza - it's out of this world.

LoML and I stopped in during our travels to experience the magic of Pasta Mista once again. We've been here before, but remembered how good it was and wanted to come back. He ordered a plate of manicotti, while I tried the gnocchi a la panna, and a small slice of tortellini pizza (cheese, pesto and tortellini on a nice wheat crust). Neither of us was disappointed - the food was excellent as always. I've always adored the gnocchi here, and it's what turned me on to the stuff in the first place. They still have the big pasta dishes and the metal forks that I remember, a bit of a twist for what is essentially "fast food" style Italian. Definitely try some of their pizza - they have very different styles. I recommend the Mondragone, for sure - big, thick tomato slices and delicious cheese. Mmm-mmm! Prices were good, at 22 dollars for two pasta dishes, two drinks and a slice of pizza. The only downside to Pasta Mista is that this location is extremely, EXTREMELY busy, all the time. They have seating, but it's really limited and you can't really linger much after your meal, because there's too many people waiting to sit down. Many come here and take it to-go. I've never visited the other locations - this is the only one I've been to. It's hard to beat the original. Tip for Diabetics: Ohhh, Lord, no. This is not a good place for diabetics, I'm afraid. The pasta dishes will BREAK your sugar levels here. The pasta is "regular pasta" (not Dreamfield's!), the sauces are very thick and very rich and very full of carbs. The pizza crusts are also not diabetic-friendly. Admittedly, I think I really pushed it here, though, having both pasta and a slice of pizza. I'd start out with the pizza, slowly, and see how it progresses - but the pasta is definitely no. Shame - it's delicious. :( BG Levels Before = 99 BG Levels After = 212 :'( Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor. YMMV. Seek medical advice and tailor my review to your situation. I simply provide opinion.

This is a really good pizza spot. It very had to find good pizza in Maryland but this place has it. I'm from Jersey and this is the closest to jersey pizza I have been able to find in the towson area. It is what I would consider normal crust (not wafer thin, but not a thick crust either). I usually get a plain slice and the chicken parm slice. The pizza is consistently good. I do wish they would deliver, I'm just lazy sometime. :-)

Popped in for lunch for the first time a little after the lunch hour, and it was hard to find a seat. I ordered the caprese salad and the chicken parm sub. Food was great, and the price was great. Surprised at the amount of food that came with the caprese. Chicken parm was the perfect size, thin cuts of breaded chicken, sauce had great flavor, and the bread was crisp on the outside. Great spot for quick take-out or pick-up lunch in Towson.

Great pizza and fresh salad! The staff is also very friendly and helped me make a selection. The people look happy to work there so that says a lot about ownership too. Prices were very reasonable too. They have a Wide selection of pizza too.

This is probably the best place to get pizza by the slice in the Baltimore/Towson area. There are lots of other regular pizza places around, but this place really makes incredible and different pizza and they always have a large variety of types to try. They have a lot of vegetarian options which I appreciate, and the pizza always tastes really fresh with a little bit of grease. Prices are also very reasonable and you get large slices. Their salads and appetizers are also good, although I have to admit I haven't tried any of their pasta dishes because I get a pizza slice every time I come! The only reason I didn't give this place five stars is that the restaurant is sort of cramped - if you come at an especially busy time you may not have anywhere to sit (the restaurant is tiny, with a stand up place to order and then about 8 small tables with a few chairs around each of them). So it's not really the best place to hang out and chat for hours with friends, but if you're just here to grab a quick meal or even takeout then it works great. Definitely worth checking out next time you're craving good pizza!

The best pizza in the area! The margherita is so good, all ingredients are fresh. They have a huge selection of different pizza. I also like their Greek salad! It's perfect for an after game lunch/dinner with the kids!

Just about as close as you can get to NY style pizza in Baltimore. I go there prolly once a week and the pies are great for $11.00. I'm a purist, just plain cheese. Big single slices too for like $2.00 a piece. Yeah it's timy amnd not alotta seating, but most good NY pizza joints are the same way. I usually get take out and boy is it good. Well worth the trip. Awesome pizza!!!!

The place is a little small, but thats okay.. might be busy during lunch hours! Ordered the cheese ravioli today and it was pretty good! The Greek salad was huge and had to be shared with two people. I would come here again if I am in the Towson area, the pizzas look good!

I've been here dozens of times and the food (and service) is always great. Their food is also consistent so you can expect what you got last time to taste the same when you get it next time-a plus for a non-chain establishment.

VERY good imitation of New York Style pizza. I've been there alone once and was so impressed that I came back a few days later with my wife. She was equally impressed. Taking the wife and kids tonight to the Timonium location to see if it measures up. Great pizza. Great prices. Great atmoshphere. Great staff. Great experience. 2 thumbs up!

Take this away with your order: good pizza with some flavors, and they have other yummy stuff on the menu, too! We ordered a Grande slice and a three cheese slice, as well as an order of Gnocchi with Pesto and a Bocelli salad. The gnocchi came with some garlic bread which was decent (although not OMG-amazing). The gnocchi was a perfect amount of food for 2 people. We had it for lunch the next day and just sampled it when we bought it. The pizza was great because the varieties that are best with a more pan crust style were made that way, and the ones that work best with a thinner crust (like the 3 cheese) were made that way. It's better than some places that just stick with one kind of crust no matter what. The salad was good, and I like that the feta and salad dressing were on the side so you could add as much or as little as you wanted. As far as the olives that are included . . . there were 2 in the whole container. The salad is a good size for 2 as a side, or for one as a main. It was tasty, but not the most original salad out there. We had to take our food to go because of a lack of tables, but there are places to sit.

This pizza made me never want to eat a Domino's, Papa Johns, or Pizza Hut pizza ever again. That being said, this location is always busy, especially when school is in session. The pasta is great here, and the prices are spot on.

Here is the Deal. The pizza is good, but it is not NY style. I used to live in NJ. The pizza in NJ/NY is a lot better than what you can get around here. But it is the best I've had in the area and by far is better than papa johns or dominos... The subs and pasta dishes are ok. I go here all the time. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, the price is right, and generally the food is good. Recommend!

  • Michelle H.

Yum! I can only speak to their pizzas because frankly, each time I come here they all just look so darn tasty that I hurry up, order a slice and get it in my tummy ASAP that I never even think about their other menu items. (My friends have told me their gnocchi is pretty decent.) They just do a great job with their toppings to surface area ratio, plus the crunchy yet chewy crust - it's the perfect slice of pizza in Baltimore, hands down. Oh, and if they have their Caprese Roll available, get it - you're in for a treat.

Pasta Mista is a great place to for Italian food in Towson, especially if you are in a hurry. They offer a clear and concise menu that is easy to read, mostly comprised of pizza, pasta dishes, salads, and some other Italian favorites. Speaking of Italy, the cooks and order takers are mostly Italian and even the TV is in Italian. I wish I spoke it when I went there! Anyway, I always get the pizza when I go, they have everything from regular (cheese, pepperoni) to the most unique pizza I've ever tried. For instance, this evening I had four slices: tortellini, chicken parmesan, spaghetti and sauce, and sausage/ziti. All of these slices were around $3 which is not bad considering their size. These flavors were all quite good and I'd highly recommend some of their pizzas to anyone. Enjoy!

Tough review. If this placed was just a pizza joint and stopped pretending to be anything else, I would consider 5 stars. I really like their pizza. Thin crust, classic toppings, great sauce. Best pizza in Baltimore county. The problem is everything else on the menu that I've tried is a bit bland and uninspired. Large special pizza is a great deal. Feeds or family of four nicely. I typically get pizza to go, as this place isnt really inviting to sit down or linger although there are tables available for those who want to.

  • Moira R.

Best baked ziti and gnocchi in Towson for sure. I like the pizza, too and I usually hate pizza.

    (4)
  • Erica C.

Decent, cheap slices of pizza. It's excellent on-the-go grub. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine at this place though. The pizza is average and service is quick. Pizza tastes generic, Papa John's does a better job on all angles. But, if you are starving in Towson, this beats the mall food court.

WOW, I get great Italian food each time I go to this place. Great pizza, pasta, bread-sticks. This restaurant may have the best Italian food outside of Baltimore Little Italy. But, def the best in the county.

I used to live here in college before there were tables and while I've had better slices in NY/NJ, this is by far the best pizza I've had in the baltimore-dc area and a hell of a lot better than any thing I've had in Atlanta, where I live now. David and Lucca are really good guys and they would always let us watch soccer and they took the time to get to know their regulars. Happy to see they've opened up more shops.

This is easily the best pizza I've had in the Towson area. Make sure you show up at a busy time to ensure that you get a fresh pizza and not a reheated slice that's been sitting in the display case for a while. If you're a pizza aficionado like myself (and rarely settle for chain pizza--yuck!) you should be happy here.

Good 'za. Not great, but decent - an easy upgrade over chain stuff. Good crust, I also enjoy the subs and pasta dishes. Again, not great but better than average for an inexpensive take out.

This pizza is very good. The crusts are thin. I like it that way, it probably is not as fattening as some others. They have interesting choices. My experience with the people who work there is that they are very nice. I never have to wait more than a few minutes for the pizza. I haven't tried the other food.

Congratulations to Pasta Mista for making a reasonable salad. I've had 3 crappy, decaying, overdressed salads in a row and was starting to give up hope that you could get a decent salad at a restaurant. The salad included field greens and even they were fresh. What? Pizza is pretty good also. Garden salad and a slice cost $7 I would go back.

Why's everyone hatin' on Pasta Mista? What can you really expect from a strip mall Italian joint in suburban Maryland? C'mon guys, don't be so harsh. I appreciate the cleanliness of this Italian take-out and eat-in resto that is like two steps up from fast food (it's counter service, fast and cheap), safety (there are always at least 3 police officers there grubbing on some food), friendly although perhaps a bit brusque (for efficiency's sake) service (and the people who work there actually speak Italian to each other), and generous portion sizes. It's like the PG version of Italian food, replete with garlic bread gratuit that will fill you up before you even get to your entree. Good for a rainy day when you don't feel like cooking and want something hearty and soothing (and want to spend less than $20 for a filling meal for two).

This has been a favorite of mine for many years! Love the pizza and subs and salads!

I loved this place when I lived in Maryland. The food is good, there are many options besides pizza and it is fast, get in and out service. They have a few tables, but everytime I had come in the tables were all taken. It is a very busy place.

I love this place, it's the best pizza I've had in Towson and all the employees are friendly and patient while I take wayy to long to choose what slices I want. They have inventive slices as well as more typical ones and the best part is that I can walk there from my apartment so I feel less guilty about my pizza binges!

Damn good pizza. I was addicted to the tortellini pizza for quite some time. Probably my entire senior year actually. The place doesn't seem legit from the outside, but once you step inside and see all those yummy slice pies you know you're in a good place. The decor is pretty minimal but the pizza more than makes up for it. I had the pasta once and it wasn't so good, but defffff go for the pizza. If you're into that run of the mill, fast food Dominoes crap then don't go. Hands down, this is the best pizza place in Towson.

Really good, cheap pizza. It definitely beats out the food court in Towson Town center. Three of us each got a slice and the total came out to around $7. 3 pretzels at Annie's pretzels in the mall costs more than that! Some interesting toppings combos to choose from as well.

First off, don't be expecting a fine dining experience when you go to a strip-mall pizza place next to a Superfresh. That said, Pasta Mista is a great place to pick up a quick lunch or dinner. Their tortellini pizza is wonderful, I got a lot of people hooked on that.

Great pizza. NY style and delicious. I recommend carrying out because there aren't too many places to sit. Reasonably priced. Best pizza in Maryland so it gets 5 stars.

I'm sorry but I must strongly disagree with most of these reviews. I remember the day Pasta Mista opened and those two Italian guys started making pizzas. I find it to be very authentic New York style pizza. The restaurant is clean and seems to be quite busy the times I visit. The food is fresh and tasty...

Wow I can't believe theses reviews:( I have very fond memories of Pasta Mista. I think their vegetarian varieties of pizza are very good. I think it's a great place to pop in and grab a slice of pizza on the go. Nothing spectacular but pretty good if you are craving a pizza with red sauce and sliced tomato's with fresh mozzarella and basil. Not pricey at all either.

I love the pasta with sauce. Too delicious. A friend took me there and I'm so addicted. They will always get my business no matter what. I live all the way in the city and I travel to Pasta Mista (towson) just to eat their delicious food. Service is great.

WORST PIZZA EVER. they can try to disguise it with interesting toppings as much as they want (such as caesar salad or baked penne), but its still gross. the salads aren't actually bad, and the pasta dishes are decent, but the bad pizza overshadows everything.

Seeing the recent reviews of Pasta Mista reminded me why I've tried to forget it. It is a perfectly forgettable italian restaurant. The food isn't very good, but at least it is (or used to be) cheap...

Do not sleep on this pizza -- along with Valentino's in Alexandria, VA, the very best NY style pizza I've had in the Baltimore Washington area. Lots of different varieties but we had plain cheese -- sauce had a nice tang to it (not too sweet) and the crust was delicious. Well worth going out of your way for!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
