Hidden gem! The woman who runs this place is fantastic. She is very knowledgeable about the products, recommending, and accommodating. The place is very clean and comfortable. They made everything cucumber-free because I don't like it and even made me a special free avocado roll. Took about 10-15 minutes to receive my order. It was absolutely perfect. Definitely my favorite sushi spot in Towson.

I stopped in for lunch because I had a craving and it was an easy walk from TU. (Their sushi on campus is terrible...). Miya was overall a pleasurable experience! I really enjoyed their veggie tempura roll and the shumai is small, but decent! I may go for the Goya next time instead. I also ordered their Tiger Roll which wasn't my style, but that was my b for not thoroughly reading the menu....I don't care much for the totally deep fried rolls. The server there is sooo sweet and attentive. She even surprised me with a California roll on the house to take back to school.

This is the worse place for Japanese food ever. The owners are obviously the nicest people but they should make this a Chinese restaurant. Not sure who they are trying to fool with their horrible "Japanese food". We ordered Gyoza dumplings and they were wonton wrappers stuffed with imitation crab! Based on the look of the not so fresh sushi option, I opt for teriyaki chicken since I thought you can't screw up on that. I was wrong. It wasn't even teriyaki sauce. It was some kind of Chinese starchy sauce that was absolutely horrible. Go here if you don't care about food but for the super sweet owner who tries to offer you free on the house deep fried rolls of imitation crab.

I went here based on Yelp reviews. The couple was very friendly so I feel bad they earned one star in my books. The quality of the sushi was not sushi grade seafood. The rolls were poorly made and fell apart easily. I hope they can make improvements.

A hidden wonder! Don't let sights fool you! This place is great. Loved the sushi and the miso soup, my mom enjoyed her yakitori!

The owners are very nice so I feel bad not giving them at least 4 stars but the food just was not as good as I hoped. My husband and I had the lunch special and the hot roll. In the lunch special I had a salmon and a spicy tuna roll. The rolls were small and falling apart. It also was not spicy. The hot roll was just okay. For the amount of food it was expensive. The owners also gave us a free CA roll for our first visit and it had unusual crunchy pieces. Overall the service was great, food just ok.

Excellent, unassuming random sushi place on York Road. The ambiance is not good, so I wouldn't come here with a group of friends for a fun night, but the food is GREAT! Very fresh tasting and reasonably priced. Our waitress even brought us 2 free rolls "for the holidays." Super friendly and fast service. We will return. Cost of 4 rolls, plus 2 free rolls, for a total of 6 rolls, was $26.

The sushi was very good and well priced. The service was excellent. They even gave us a free roll to celebrate the new year! I will definitely be back.

The customer service is amazing. It took a really long time to get my food, but they were making the rice fresh, gave me a free roll, good conversation, and even offered to deliver instead of having me wait - therefore not an issue! The place is owned by a sweet couple who've had this location for 4 years. They're right across from Towson University - great location for students. The sushi unfortunately was not too good. The rice was partially falling off the rolls. I ordered spicy tuna, salmon avocado, and a specialty roll that was baked with tuna and salmon. The fish itself didn't taste too great - that's probably my biggest complaint and the reason why I'm giving the place 3 stars. The seaweed salad was delicious. Hopefully, it was an off night for the fish - I'd be willing to check out the place again.

This place is very unassuming on the outside and even worse on the inside. Very little decor and small tables packed close together with a drink fountain against one wall, you'd think you were in a fast food restaurant. The napkins were a weird gold silky material. I was going to give 3 stars just because the owner was so friendly but please see the 8/18/14 review and my experience was nearly identical (except I didn't order a Coke). The California roll was definitely weird with a paucity of rice and very firm (not quite ripe) avocado. It sounds like we both got the same free roll at the end of the meal (which they seem to give to everyone - which might explain some of the overly favorable reviews). Plus they brought out our order in a weird sequence. For example we got all of the hot rolls (more on them below), then all the sushi at one time and then the California rolls after we finished the sushi - I like to mix and match sushi & rolls during the meal. As to the thing I think they called hot rolls - we got soft shell crab roll and crunchy eel roll. These rolls were sliced very thin and were hard to pick up with chopsticks. They were just OK but a little bland. Nothing like a typical crazy maki roll you get at other places. I don't know if you can get good sushi in Towson (we were visiting from out of town). Maybe the folks here don't really know what good sushi tastes like but - I hate to say it - but this is definitely NOT it!

I'm judging this place on what I experienced last night. I wanted a decent sit down restaurant to enjoy some sushi. When I walked in the place looked really old. Tables were tightly placed together. They had the soda fountain out in the open like a fast food place. The décor was worn and old. They had one of their children just sitting at one of the tables in the open. It just didn't leave a good impression. I hope they up their game when it comes to their appearance. I couldn't get my date to even come in, so I didn't get a chance to sample the food. I couldn't blame her. Looking at the impression that the outside gives, you have to wonder if they even care about making safe food.

First of all, let me say that the service was amazing. The woman who was waiting on us was super friendly, understanding and very responsive: so it pains me to write this review. But at the end of the day, I come to a restaurant for the food, and food was just not so good at all, bordering on bad. I ordered two orders of California Rolls. ( my usual at a sushi joint). The roll's outside was visibly lacking rice. Like, it's almost as if my sushi had a bad case of leprosy. You could see large bare spots of green of seaweed on the inside out roll. It reminded me of the first time I tried to make maki... except more amateur. The roll's were small, oddly shaped, with unripe avocado, full crab stick ( I like when it's shredded) and a large piece of cucumber. The gyoza, I ordered meat, were dropped off and I was told that the inside was shrimp and pork mixed together. The entire inside of the gyoza was white... which means that it was all shrimp, but had a bit of a weird flavor. I tried my friend's miso soup, which had a bit of an off flavor as well. Our diet pepsi's were expired and the server apologized a good deal. Which is fine and all... though it boggles my mind how your diet pepsi can be two years expired. It's one of those things that turns over fairly often at the supermarket. I can't imagine what sort of network you are getting your coke through. The highlight of my meal was the small green salad that was served to me at the entrance. The dressing was absolutely delicious. I mean, I would buy it, if they bottled it. But unfortunately, that's the only thing that I'd buy again. The server gave us a free thin circular roll, that was like a California Roll, at the end of the meal; which I assume is an apology for the expired cokes, which makes this review even harder to write. But, I was led here expecting a 4 star lunch... and unfortunately, received a very clear 2.

What a disappointing visit. I don't know why the reviews for this place are so high- it was not very good. First, I ordered a soda because I saw that they had a soda fountain machine (usually sushi places only have cans, so this seemed like a nice surprise). But alas, they brought us two cans of soda instead. The soda tasted funny, and we realized it had expired two years ago. There were no non-expired diet sodas, so we switched to water. The salad was good, probably the highlight of the meal- good sesame dressing. The miso soup was flavorless. The gyoza was good, but no better than you can get frozen at trader joes. The sushi itself was sub-par. Just not good quality. The tuna roll was extremely cold, and I think the tuna had been frozen. The California roll wasn't good- the avocado was hard and unripe. The salmon roll was tolerable, but unremarkable. Everything was rolled poorly. They gave us an extra roll to make up for the expired soda, and that wasn't good either. I feel bad writing this review, because the people who work there are so nice, but I was just so disappointed in the sushi quality. I hope it was an off day, but everything was pretty consistently mediocre, verging on bad. They need to improve the quality of their food.

Think Bob's Burgers: Really nice owners, like everyone says! We loved the food and the service, but we'll make it a point to only come here for take out. The fluorescent lights and general decor left me feeling a little sad.

So I know from the outside it may seem a little sketch, but do not be turned away from the outward appearances! This place is fantastic! This was my first time here and I think this will become my go to place for sushi. The sushi is amazing! All of the fish and rolls were super fresh and they pace bringing out the rolls perfectly. My favorite rolls I had were the butterfly roll and the crazy salmon roll. The butterfly roll had spicy salmon that was actually the perfect amount of spice! And the crazy salmon roll was an amazing mixture of everything I love : jalapeños, cream cheese, avocado, and salmon. We also ordered an orange dragon roll and a tasty roll. These are a little different because it mixed hot with cold temperatures, but I still thought everything tasted good and fresh. Out of the two I would recommend the tasty roll. It had a fried salmon and avocado roll topped with lump crab meat. It reminded me of the best kind of crab dip I used to eat as a kid! I highly suggest it; definitely different but worth it. The service was amazing and they were very accommodating. We even got a free roll since it was our first time there. The only complaint I have is that some of the rolls were a little loosely wrapped, but that will not stop me from coming back!

This is by far the best sushi I've had in Baltimore. Service is amazing and Ms. Linda and Mr. Mike are so friendly! My husband and I always order the sushi combo A with one of their specialty rolls. We never leave disappointed and they always give us something on the house, which we feel bad for every time. We actually ordered sushi from them for a house party and our family and friends raved about the food! So happy we found this place!

Like other people said....the owners are incredibly sweet and I feel bad to give them a negative review. My Story: First of all, I use yelp a lot (love yelp!) and so regardless of the shabby appearance of this place I trusted my fellow Yelpers who had given this place a 4 star average review. Sadly, it ended up being beyond disappointing. The Sushi: The Fish does not taste Good or Fresh. The texture and feel was mushy, which is always a (scary) tell tale sign that its not good quality/fresh fish. The Cuts were also not very "clean". (Meaning they are likely not using a sharp enough Japanese sushi knife) The Rolls: Not only were the cuts somewhat uneven but as others had mentioned, the rolls fall apart. For those who don't know, this happens not only when you don't use "Sushi Roller" properly but also when you don't properly knead the rice (rubbing rice between hands/fingertips for 5-10 mins in water to clear off the starch). That's what causes the rice to get extra sticky. The more you knead, the stickier the rice. (I doubt that the owners know this, judging from the consistent complaints) The Eel Roll had way too much sauce and the sauce itself didn't taste like the typical yummy eel sauce that makes everything taste awesome. The eel itself did not seem great either. Overall: To say it plainly, I just don't think these Chinese owners know Japanese sushi or the how important quality is in that market. It would truly surprise me if they even eat sushi themselves. My Recommendation to them would be to get Highly Educated on Fish Freshness and what "Sushi Grade" really means. Maybe get a new fish distributor because whoever is selling you fish is ripping you the f*ck off! Not only can you get people sick (a reviewer mentioned this happening) but also it is unacceptable to be serving RAW fish that is not SUPER fresh. . Regardless of how nice these people are, if they don'y completely change their food quality, they will fail. If anyone else has/has had a similar experience to me, please share it openly. These people seem to want to do a good job and I feel like they just have no idea wtf they are doing. Be brutally honest and hopefully it will be enough for them to change.

Very friendly service! I think the waitress and sushi chef were husband and wife. I ordered a Chesapeake roll and it was very good. As I was finishing my roll the waitress came by and gave me a California roll on the house. The roll itself was mediocre but as I always say... If its free, its for me!! The only problem was that in the middle of lunchtime the restaurant was completely empty and very quiet until they turned on some soft Japanese style music which was a nice touch. The next time I find myself in Towson with the urge for sushi I will definitely go back.

My boyfriend and I decided to do carry out from here one night. We would have ordered over the phone first but it seemed that there is no accurate menu online. So we went. We ordered three special rolls. I wish I remembered their names. There was one that was meant to have tuna and avocado on top but the chef offered to do it all tuna and we said yes. They also gave us a free fried roll. Everything was just okay. Nothing to write home about.

This is my go to sushi place. Linda, the server, is so incredibly friendly. The food is fantastic and the service is amazing. They ALWAYS give us free food. We went there today and she started us off with edamame on the house. Then we had our delicious sushi rolls which are long and skinny so they actually fit in your mouth with one bite (which is a huge problem I have with sushi hana). We were so full and could barely finish our rolls when Linda brought us out a double helping of tempura rolls on the house. After eating a couple and asking to take it with us, she offered to make something that would actually reheat well instead. Not wanting to take advantage, we turned her down, so she offered us ice cream. Actually, she insisted and brought it out on the house for us regardless. We never, ever leave hungry when we eat here. In regards to the rolls, I already mentioned my love of the size and shape. But I believe the eel is fantastic. My husband is more adventurous then I and has tasted a large portion of their menu. He has never had a bad roll. His favorite roll is the Godzilla, mine is the dragon roll. I don't know how else to convince you that this place is worth more than a try.

If I could give 10 stars (no exaggeration), I would. I came here while in the area for business and can't say this enough: this is a solid place for sushi! Since I was in the area and had a hankering for sushi, I consulted Yelp (shameless Yelp plug). When I pulled up and saw the outside (and the meager 4-5 parking spots out front) yet saw the 4.5 average review, I wasn't really sure what to think. I chalked one up to potentially getting food poisoning and decided to give it a try. I was here with a coworker and since we didn't have lunch, we went balls to the wall: 1 snow roll, 1 Philly roll, 1 Boston roll, 1 Maryland roll and 1 soft shell crab roll. I can honestly say all 5 rolls were great. The soft shell crab and Maryland rolls might have been my favorites- can't beat real crab in a sushi roll! What really did it for me was not just the great sushi but the amazing, amazing customer service. It was really run by one lady (you can see her picture on the website!) who is an absolutely sweetie pie. She is attentive and quick and isn't pushy with things you don't want to order. Since we came here for lunch at 3:30pm (it was empty), she threw in a few extra dishes on the house: got a tempura veggie dish, a tempura roll AND tempura bananas for dessert! Who does that?! So needless to say, all EIGHT dishes we had were absolutely fantastic. If you're in Baltimore or need a random locale to venture to, I highly recommend going to Miya Sushi. While the decor probably won't wow you (gold napkins? really?), the warm, friendly service and tasty sushi all but makes up for it.

Miya Sushi is the place to go hands down! The owners are super friendly and nice, they make you feel welcomed. They deserve more recognition, if I could give them 10 stars I would have. ALSO it's a perfect go-to place for students since its right across campus.

I can only echo what the other reviews have said... Amazingly friendly staff, good rolls, free stuff, prices are food. I had a salmon sashimi on the recommendation of the waitress and rather than the 3 pieces in the menu I got four which worked out well as u was sharing with my dining companion. The other five members of my party also enjoyed their meals.

If you go to restaurants for decor and ambiance...this is not your place. If you go because of good food and great service...this is your place! Let me start by saying, I have not had White Tuna Sashimi this good before. The cut was slightly thinner than I like for sashimi, but they gave 5 pieces to make up for it. The one lone server was very nice...we had a group of 6, so she had her work cut out. At the end, they brought out a deep fried spicy crab roll that was very tasty and even better...it was on the house! Will be back when I'm in Towson.

Like many of the other reviews, this place does not get points for decor, but for the warm, friendly, personalized service and food quality. My fiance has been going here since he arrived in Towson and raving about how nice they are and how they throw in a free roll or soft drink. My first time going was tonight and it lived up to his reviews. The man makes the sushi on a table right in front of you and they will throw in anything by request (I asked for Sriracha hot sauce in the shrimp tempura roll). They're happy to cater to people's needs. The rolls were a good size for me - not too big, not too small. I love when the rice is on the outside which they had as well. I hope this place gets the business they deserve...I'm sure it is much busier in the school year with students but it was pretty quiet tonight.

Great fresh sushi here at a reasonable price. I wouldn't recommend any of the cooled entreees though except the tempura :-). Nice location near local hotels and universities.

Disappointing after all the great reviews. Super friendly waitstaff and they gave us a few things on the house. However, we showed up on a Saturday evening at 6pm with 5 people and ordered a sushi boat and pretty much only got salmon (out of 20 nigiri pieces, 16 were salmon); I actually think they had run out of all types of fresh fish besides that which is strange considering it was a Saturday and early in the evening. Besides us, no one was there, though. Only shortly before we left did a single diner come in. Very disappointing since the point to getting a boat is variety... While the salmon was good, it got old fast. Not sure what everyone else is raving about - we are certainly not coming back.

Miya Sushi in Towson, MD opened in early 2012 and it's a great addition to the Towson restaurant scene. My dining partner and I heard about it through a friend and went for dinner one evening. There are definitely fancier sushi places around, but the staff is so pleasant and the food is great, so I definitely recommend giving it a try. Location-wise, Miya is super convenient to Towson University, like 1-2 blocks from campus. Their website offers 10% off student discount coupons, so it's clear they hope to appeal to that crowd. The building itself is quite small and the dining area has maybe 8 tables in it max, so keep that in mind if you're trying to accommodate a big group. At present, the decor is pretty sparse, furnished with just simple tables/chairs and a few wall scrolls. Not ideal for a romantic date spot, but it works for more casual meals. It's still very new, though, so I wouldn't be surprised if the dining room setup is still a work-in-progress. The proprietors gave us absolutely wonderful service, incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their menu. We were served a free item while our order was being prepared - I believe it was called an Osaka roll. It was WONDERFUL, almost like a small, crispy okonomiyaki chopped into 6 pieces for the 2 of us to split. I don't know if that's their standard procedure or whether they were just being extra gracious that evening, but... well, y'know, free goodies make a place really endearing. :D The menu is rather unique. They offer your typical nigiri/maki options, but they also had some stuff I've never heard of before - a whole array of baked sushi rolls and fried sushi rolls. I can't remember exactly what we got and their website doesn't reflect all of the sushi they have available, but everything was really tasty and fresh. The waitress also kept our mugs of green tea filled the whole time. Best of all, they offer many flavors of mochi ice cream for dessert. Yum! Price-wise, it's comparable with all the other sushi joints in the area. I really enjoyed our meal there and hope to make it a regular spot.

I lived in Hawaii for almost 10 yrs and never really liked Sushi until I found this place..while the decor could use a lot of helps but the quality of the food is hard to beat..Best Sushi I have had anywhere, fresh ingredients and made on the spot..and the price is so reasonable..the couple owners are so nice and generous with their food..They also have a wide selection of sushi, a little overwhelming sometimes.. Wish they would have the pictures for their menu..Try the one with seaweed..it's great!

I feel really bad reviewing this this way because the man and woman running the restaurant were so so SO nice. They brought me water while I waited for my carry out order. The gave us a california roll on the house as well. However, the rolls were very small. No bigger around than a quarter. The california rolls (we got 2 + the free one) were majority avocado with a small stick of cucumber and a barely visible amount of faux crab. I ordered a spicy salmon roll that was so squishy and watery in consistency that I couldn't even pick it up to eat it. I tried a spoon and the taste was of mayo, raw fish and tempura - not a lovely combo, nor spicy at all. In addition, we ordered a smoked salmon with cucumber roll by special request which, while it was small, was very fresh and good. I did notice that in all the rolls we got, there wasn't enough rice covering the outside. Not even enough to coat the seaweed. They also provided the smallest amount of soy and sriracha sauce possible. I always tip, as I did in this instance as well. Unfortunately I was just left still hungry and disappointed. We really didn't wind up getting anything for free since the spicy salmon went right into the trash.

The sushi was really good, all very fresh. The menu had a wide-range of options. We got the spicy tuna, eel roll, and salmon roll - all of which was great. The place itself was quite clean. And the owners were extremely gracious, they even offered us a few rolls on the house because it was our first time there. We especially liked this fried onion roll thing they gave us, we were scraping the plate!

Tried this spot a few weeks ago. The parking lot could use re-paving, and the ambiance could be better, but their sushi is out of this world. I've eaten at a lot of sushi spots in Baltimore and Towson. The quality and quantity of fine fish here exceeds them all. One of the servers is from Sushi Hana. I liked Sushi Hana, but their sushi doesn't stack up to Miya's. It looks like a hole in the wall, but they have excellent sushi and warm, friendly service. I hope the word gets out about this place. They deserve a sushi connoisseur's business.

MIya Sushi is a top quality wife and husband run restaurant that everyone should come out and support. Not just because the Sushi is great but the family is so friendly and warm. Talk to the husband about the price of fish and Japanese ingredients. He likes talking about it and the rising prices and how its difficult to get quality ingredients except from the Japanese distributors. Try any of the tempura sushi dishes - like the veggie tempura roll and the avocado roll. The tempura we had was excellent (in contrast to the other review). If you become a good customer - they will likely offer you extras. They have two (or three) cute kids of which they keep on a short leash. Yes, not much in decor, but the food and the family are the atttraction

I guess we're not that brave since my wife mentioned this place to me a few weeks ago but we were afraid to try it since it is, for lack of a better term, small and rinky dink but man are we glad we came here. Miya has only been opened a couple months so the place was pretty empty on a Thursday night but that just means people are missing out. The sushi here is great, the staff is super friendly, and their prices are reasonable. The owner is a former waitress from Sushi Hana and as others have said Miya's sushi is better and so is their service. We had the Fantastic Roll, Sakura Roll, Shitake Tuna Roll, and Salmon Skin Roll. The owner treated us to a tempura fish cake and some kind of roll since we hadn't seen her in a while as we stopped going to Sushi Hana (the service declined).. If you're going for decor or fancy tables then don't come here. If you want good sushi at a reasonable price with a friendly atmosphere come to Miya Sushi and you'll be quite satisfied. BTW, the tempura bananas with ice cream is tasty!

While the atmosphere in this independently owned hole-in-the-wall is underwhelming, the warmth of the owners more than makes up for it. The sushi is quite tasty at a median price. The avocado, eel, and yellow tail roll I ordered was fresh and hit the spot. I'll definitely be back for more. : )

My favorite sushi place in the Towson area. I've tried the other big 3 in the downtown area and Miya was my favorite in terms of portion size, quality and hospitality. The staff was very attentive to my needs. The only drawback is the decor. Very spartan furnishings and decor. Overall, an excellent addition to the Towson area.

OMGosh!! This place has the best sushi! The owners are so friendly! The lady who serves is awesome. She is always bringing out free food and dessert. You will never leave hungry! When you pull up to the restaurant you may think it's a "hole in the wall" but if you give it a chance you will NOT be disappointed! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great sushi restaurant :-)

Great sushi at a great price. Friendly staff. Plus, they give you a free roll if you spend more than $25. My only complaint-I'd prefer paper napkins, instead of the silky, really small napkins they give you. And maybe a wet nap in the beginning of the meal.

I really liked this place because of the customer service and the sushi. I think that all the sushi places are the same if they have good quality fish. What differentiate this place from a place like Sushi Hana is the friendly and attentive service. I feel like the customer matters here.

This place was great it's a small mom and pop sushi place. We ate there a few mins ago, the food was great and the service was even better. She was such a sweet woman, I would recommend going here with an appetite and try the lucky roll, we loved it. We live in the city but will be back soon. Viva la Miya!

Service: 5 stars Food: 3 stars The owners are very friendly, going out of their way to make conversation and to see how you are. They also gave us an extra order of sushi rolls on the house. Food-wise, let me preface this by saying that I've been spoiled by the sushi of Japanese enclaves in San Diego and Los Angeles. I don't see the same ethnic diversity here in Baltimore, so I don't really expect the ethnic food to be on par. Nevertheless, given the Yelp reviews, I was disappointed. 2 out of the 3 orders of sushi was cut too thin, and not rolled compactly enough; they kept breaking apart. The soft shell crab roll was super pricy, and not something I would order again. For $11, you get 9 pieces of ~1/3-inch thick sushi where the crab was definitely crowded out by the tempura batter. Spicy tuna roll wasn't spicy enough. The salmon teriyaki was the best thing out of those we ordered. I'm not big on rice, but I still felt that they skimped on it. My fiancé, however, pointed out that rice is cheap and usually not something a restaurant skimps on, so he didn't know if that was a good or bad thing.

The vegetarian maki were so-so,another place that kinda skimps on the rice so your roll looks half naked. the staff was super friendly and the service lightening fast. The sweet potato tempura appetizer was pretty small. As others have stated there is a lack of ambiance and after hemming and hawing about getting out of the car it was clean inside at least.

After peering through countless reviews of sushi restaurants in the Towson area, I decided upon Miya Sushi for my birthday lunch for their highly acclaimed service - and I was not disappointed! We ordered the fried sushi first, and continued to add on rolls - fried and unfried, tempura and no tempura etc., all of which were light, tasty, and fresh. The sweet woman working there brought us out a free roll, and then another free roll as we bought some more. As it was my birthday, she brought me out some ice cream at the end. Overall: pleasant experience, and quality sushi.

The tuna was more chopped/ diced and seemed mushy. The veggie roll was just 4 stalks of asparagus and very disappointing. The meal was ok but the items did seem a bit 'odd' in texture and I'm not sure we'll be back. We can't speak for the dining experience as we did take out.

Best place for sushi in Baltimore. The owners Linda and Michael came from Hunan, China and put together a fantastic menu for quality and affordable sushi. Not overpriced like most of the chain restaurants nearby, while also making you feel like family. I am a big sushi fan and this place surpassed my expectations.

Pay attention owners, good sushi comes from fresh, quality product. Dried out wasabi and slimy Yellowtail won't bring back customers. The service is amazing, It won't keep me though. I'll be taking my money to Sushi Hana down the street.

Awesome food and great service! Truly a gem. The main Lady is so sweet. They make you feel welcome and don't shadow over you like other restaurants.

I was excited to find a new sushi spot in Towson, especially because I'm not the biggest fan of Sushi Hanna. Located walking distance from Towson Univ and the Marriott, it was easy to walk over here. I was surprised to see the place so empty, even though it was Monday. Agree per other reviews that the ambiance/decor isn't my favorite but the couple working (who I am assuming are owners) were very nice and polite. So now on to the food, I ordered a house salad w/ ginger dressing, dragon roll and spicy tuna roll. The salad was OK, the dressing kind of looked like sweet & sour sauce but tasted good. Both rolls were generous sizes as well and pretty good, but I don't know if it's the best I've had yet. Also they did throw in an extra tempura roll, which I've noticed they have done to other customers per reviews below. Always nice to get some freebies :) This place is good when you're looking for a reasonably priced dinner or quick take out.

This place is walking distance from my work and my home, and I try to eat here as much as possible! There isn't a lot of parking available, but it's in a walkable area - I've picked up takeout while walking my dog. My go-to roll is the Tiger Roll, it is absolutely delicious! This place opened when I was still in school, and a few students in one of my classes were going on about how great it was so I stopped in for lunch after class, ordered the Salmon Teriyaki, and have been hooked ever since! The owner and sushi chef know me by name and are always welcoming when I come in. They'll treat you like family! I bring all of my friends in, and they love the food too. I've tried a few of their tempura dishes, tempura rolls, sushi, salmon teriyaki, the age tofu, and some desserts - I have never been disappointed here and I have never left hungry. Also, if it means anything, this is the first review I've ever written because this is the first place I've loved enough to write a review for.

I am definitely a sushi-searcher, and while in town for a quick trip, found this place on Yelp. It has strong reviews already, so I went for lunch. 2 things make this AWESOME: the sushi is incredible and varied, and reasonably priced. They give you a lot of it for your money and it is delicious. Second- the staff is the friendliest I have encountered in a long while. The server (who is mentioned in other posts) is incredible-I was first for the day and she showered me with free soup and sushi rolls while waiting for my main courses. If you are in Towson, and want a nice experience with great food, visit this little, non-descript building near the campus and discover it all for yourself.

I want to start off by saying the owner and staff here awesome and super friendly. They would get a 5 star. That's where positive ends. The sushi was one of the worst I had. My wife and I are visiting from San Diego and stopped by here for dinner. We ordered a Tokyo roll, some kind of deep fried roll (which wasn't a roll at all), Chesapeake roll and gyoza. My wife got a stomachache from the food consumed here. The owner and chef really need to reevaluate the food coming out of this kitchen. It's really bad. Price is average for Baltimore. If you want to be disappointed by food then by all means come here.

First time I visited. Food was great. I had tempura soft shell crab and it was delicious. Also miso soup was seasoned just right. Really liked salad dressing. Even though it was my first time, they gave me a free rice roll. People there were so nice. I use a cane so the lady there actually walked me to my car and opened door for me. They also do takeout and I live close by. They made me feel very confident that they care about how they fix their food.
