The food here is usually pretty good. It's your typical Chinese food place. Proportions are fair, but sometimes the veg. to meat ratio is way off. This place is good if you're looking for something fast and easy. Be warned though this is a Chinese restaurant, not Japanese... So if you order from the Japanese side of the menu be prepared to get something that doesn't resemble what you wanted. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and it looked, smelled, and tasted gross. A lot of gristle in the chicken... yuck

Chen's is my favorite local Chinese carry out/delivery joint. They're very generous with the servings and almost always surprise us with a new item for free. My favorites are the General Tso's Chicken and the Sweet & Sour Pork. My family also like Chicken & Broccoli and Vegetable Lo-Mein. I like to order the "dinner special". Any dish can be ordered like this and comes with the entree, pork fried or white rice with either spring roll or soup for $8, great deal! The delivery is free and quick.

This is the kind of Chinese delivery place you hope will be near your home! I have ordered from Chen's at least 30 times. They have never gotten my order wrong, it always gets delivered SUPER fast, hot, and drivers are very friendly. The prices are the lowest around and i absolutely love the food. Menu is fairly standard - no sushi - but food is superior to others and portions are very generous. You can order online using cash or a credit card, and theres no fee or anything. You can even apply coupons to your order - same ones that are on the paper menu. There is no charge for delivery if youre within 3 miles. They charge $1 if youre 3 to 3.5 miles away. Nervous about the Chinese restaurant your food comes from becausr youve only seen the menu? Im like that, and this is a nice place in a newly-built little strip in a shopping center with Giant. There are a ton of other places in the area to order from, but Ive seen their actual restaurants...not good. I highly recommend Chen's. People at my job (also in the 3 mile range) saw my leftovers at lunch and wanted to know where i ordered from. They started ordering from Chen's and are now hooked on the low $, great food and cant believe how fast they are. PLUS my co-workers are always calling in with lots of special requests, and it comes accurately every time. We are now always trying new menu items because we always like the quality of food we get. My only complaint? I spend too much of my money there because I order it so often :)

I'm not big on Chinese carry out. But out if the places I've ordered in the past, this by far is up there. Love the orange chicken and the shrimp lo mean. Shrimp s never over cooked and mushy. Egg rolls never greasy. And they deliver.

Ordered delivery from Chen's 1 hr and 20 minutes ago and I'm still waiting. Called twice for an update and they were rude. Too many other Chinese restaurants around here to ever bother with these clowns again.

Food was perfect. Hunan beef was really good. Only reason for the 4 stars is that it was all small portions:( other then that, perfect.

Crab wontons were bad, they aren't the best but definitely not the worst. Fried rice had no flavor at all and the chicken lo mein was a terrible. It tastes like rubber.

This place has seriously gone downhill. Food used to be great, then the quality started deteriorating, and then the service. We really kept giving them chances to redeem themselves, but it just got worse. They forget food items almost every time and then tell you that you didn't order it. I can see it on my receipt clear as day. So then you have to go through the app to get a refund, and it's just a waste of a weds night. They just lost loyal customers.

It's my first time to order in this place. I ordered food for me and my fiancé. I am disappointed. Their House Special Lo mien is so dry, like its not fresh cook at all! Their pork gyoza is big as dumplings. I just felt I just waste my money.... I would never order in this place again...

I am so disappointed right now. I asked for 2 sides of spicy mayo, in the exact same line as my instructions for no ginger or wasabi. Coincidentally they managed to read the SECOND half of the sentence and include no ginger or wasabi, but couldn't manage to read the first half of the sentence asking for the spicy mayo? Interesting. Not to mention I spent over $40 and gave a VERY generous tip of almost $15.00. WTH Chen's, get it together! (Aside from that the sushi really isn't all that great.)

Exactly what you would imagine a hole in the wall Chinese place to taste like. Not bad , not memorable either.

Love the food here happened upon it randomly, but since it has been our regular spot for chinese food delicious there american food is good as well. If your like me and do a lot of ordering via apps like eat 24 or grub hub they do a great job of reading the notes for alterations and additions.

We order from Chen's about once a week - it's really the only take away we regularly order. The food is quality, including the sushi. Deliveries are going to take the full hour to arrive though, so order before you're starving. An order has been delivered wrong once or twice in the past (because of my substitutions), but they always made it right.

Good sushi. We have ordered from here several times, and the food is always good, and the service is always good.

I've ordered here twice. Quick service. However, way too much celery in the spicy shrimp and they sent me chop suey instead of chow mein. Was too late to send it back by the time I realized.

Recently decided to try a few sushi rolls from Chen's Kitchen. I ordered the Empire Roll, Tuna Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Volcano Roll. I have had some good sushi, and some not so good sushi, but this stuff was by far the worst sushi I have ever had the displeasure of eating. The delivery took over an hour on a Sunday night. The four rolls arrived in a large aluminum tin covered loosely with foil. The rice was the consistency of old pudding. The Tuna in the Tuna Roll was a dark brown and mushy. The avocado was clearly past it's prime. The "Shrimp" Tempura was a overfried hunk of breading wrapped in the aforementioned pudding rice. The Empire roll contained a strand of asparagus that could have been a thick piece of grass. The Volcano Roll seemed to lack the eel sauce and wasabi mayo that was promised, but did include a mystery chunk of brown avocado. Everything tasted like old fish. Unable to finish a single roll. But they did send a free order of Crabmeat wontons, and they were pretty ok.

Blech. My usual sushi place was closed, so I tried this place. The avocado and asparagus rolls were fine, but the sweet potato roll was more tempura batter than sweet potato--the deep-fried smell was palpable before I even opened the bag. Then there was the entree... I got the Monk's Hunan chicken, which, for the uninitiated, is basically soy chicken. I asked for it extra, extra spicy. What I got appeared to be real chicken in an unappetizing neon red sauce, which was not at all spicy. Now they may have corrected this if I had called, but honestly, it was such a bizarre preparation, I really couldn't tell if it was veggie chicken or not. That, coupled with the fact that I've been a vegetarian for 25 years, made me reluctant to call. I just couldn't tell what the mystery meat was... Fast forward to today... I presented the dish to my 19-year-old stepson, an avowed carnivore with a less discerning palate. He couldn't be certain, but he said he was "pretty sure" it was chicken. Anyway, after sprinkling liberally with Thai chile, he declared it edible. Hence the two stars instead of one. I'm waiting for my husband to get home to see what his vote is. I'm just happy it won't be wasted--I'm irritated enough that I may have inadvertently killed a chicken, but at least I won't compound the sin by tossing it in the trash. (BTW, I did used to eat chicken, and I can't imagine I would have eaten this back when either.) I should note that delivery was fast and pleasant. But I don't think I'll risk it again.

It took 45 minutes on a Wednesday night for delivery 1.5 miles away. It might have been worth the wait if the food was good, but it was Less than satisfactory. Both dishes we got were cheaped out on protein. All veg. Disappointing. Don't think I'll be back.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
