Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

One star for the tasty pizza and what seemed like fresh ingredients. However I give this place just one star for giving us uncontrollable bowel movement for 2 days straight... Not sure what they put in their pizza or how fresh the "seemingly fresh" ingredients were, but jeez Louise, those two days were horrendous. Not risking it so I will not be going back.

Really messy melty pizza but a solid place for easy lunch. Not quite up to my NJ standards but WAY more edible than expected.

We were looking for lunch after camping at Cunningham Falls. This is just off 15. Skip the McDonald's and pizza hut nearby and go here. New York pizza was good. Thank you Fratellis!

When I lived in the area this was one of my main places to get food. Now every time I find my way to Thurmont I make a point to stop in. The prices are great and the food is good. Personally I like the cheesesteaks the best here but the pizza is good too.

I give 4 stars only because I have not tried their pizza yet. Cozy little mom and pop pizza/sub shop. I ordered a steak and cheese. The owner took my order and seemed friendly and upbeat. Went there during the week at lunch time and it was fairly busy but my food was made quickly and was tasty. I would recommend the steak and cheese if you're in the area.

I have been to Fratelli's twice--once for pizza and once for a hot veggie sub. I think the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Service was very friendly when I was there. I saw huge bags of onions sitting by the kitchen, which I took as a positive sign. If I lived in Thurmont, I would be a regular.

We've been here a couple times. Sadly, I'm not a fan. 1st: Their pizza is nothing that I'd recommend to anyone. Seems like that they go cheap on the dough, sauce, & cheese. 2nd: last time we were there, service was pretty disappointing. It seemed like the waitress was annoyed that me & my kids were in there. No, my kids behavior was prefect; so it wasn't them. The waitress must have been in her 30s or 40s: so I was surprised by her attitude. I expect mediocre service when I'm served by a teenager, but not from someone that I wanted to tip well, but it just seemed wrong to do so. We'll try it out again @ some point: but we'll have to try something besides the pizza. Hopefully, the service will be a bit better.

We go every monday for their cheese pizza and two liter of soda for $6.99 deal. The waitress is always super busy and the dining area is small but its so nice to see locals serving good food at a great price. Esc. when that end of town is flooded by franchises.

Despite a good deal on a Tuesday, the pizza just didn't do it for me. I found the cheese to be flat and standard OTC. the sauce seemed mass produced and the crust... well, there was nothing memorable about it. Overall I place this pizza just below Kings, Mom's, or Rocky's.Got to agree with Tim S.

Stopped at the 7-11 next door for some gas and stuck my head in here for a slice. I like my pizza plain and their cheese slice was just about perfect. Good crust (slightly crispy at first, then chewy), sauce just a bit on the salty side and the right amount of cheese. I don't claim to be a pizza expert but I grew up in NJ and lived in Napoli for a few years so at least I have some experience with the stuff. Fratelli's makes a good pie.

my husband and i have been going here for years. we have always enjoyed pizza monday and cheese steak tuesday. sadly though, their pizza has gone down hill since they started pizza monday a few years ago. the sauce is too sweet, there is no taste to the cheese, and it seems the compensate that with to much seasoning on the pizza. it used to be our favorite place to go in town. we went tonight to grab a pizza to go after our kids had practice. i called 25 mins before we got there and i still had to wait almost an additional 20. i was surprised to see a young girl working walking around in flip flops and yoga pants through the kitchen. another young lady got mad because the phone rang (honey thats your pay check calling). i guess who i am assuming is the manager always has a poor attitude (but who wouldnt having to work with teen girls all the time). its just becoming a let down. but their cheese steaks are great :) all in all, poor service, crappy pizza, needs to put a dress code in place, great cheese steaks.

NY style but not NY taste This is a traditional mom and pop style pizza shop. They have a thin crust pizza which is pretty close to being NY style but lacks NY taste. We ordered a large pepproni pizza and an order of cheese fries. The fries were very good. However, the pizza was way too greesy. They gave us paper plates and there was so much greese after just one slice that the bottom of my paper plate ripped out. I had to remove the end crust from each slice and throw it out because it was too tough. That being said, overall, it was an average thin crust pizza, not worth getting again. If I return, I will not order pizza here again but they have a good variety of other items, so I might try a cheesesteak.

Went here for lunch. We had the New York style pizza, a Greek salad, and mozzarella cheese sticks. The salad was huge, and had a really good amount of feta cheese, tomato and a house dressing. Unfortunately it was all iceberg lettuce. The mozzarella sticks were really good, different than a lot of places, in a good way, and had plenty of dipping sauce. The pizza was great, you can pick your toppings from an expansive list, a medium easily feeds 2. Wait staff was friendly and very helpful. Their water was is terrible, but that's the cities problem. They have bottled available. Fair prices and good pizza. They also have a huge menu with many things to try!

I was passing through the area and found myself with the odd combination of both needing gas and having a craving for pizza. As luck would have it, Fratelli's New York Pizza is located in a nondescript plaza of hodgepodge businesses, one of which is a 7 Eleven gas station. I checked the Yelp reviews before heading in, and found them to be more or less favorable and nobody had anything outright negative to say, so I figured I'd take my chances. I think I had my expectations set about right when I ordered a slice of plain cheese pizza from the older woman at the counter who then told one of the teenaged-looking guys to warm me up a slice. They have a smorgasbord of mostly Italian dishes on the menu, but I just stuck with the big slice which was around $2. As they warmed the pizza in the oven, I took the opportunity to look around the small, clean, family owned parlor which had pages from a My Little Pony coloring book adorning one of the walls, and awards for local high school teams on another. Even the red top tables brought a certain charm to the place. The pizza wasn't bad - not greasy, and there was more cheese than sauce (which is fine since some places miss the mark on sauce anyway) - but my only complaint is the guy who took the pizza out of the oven didn't wear any gloves when he put it on the plate before handing it to me. If I'm ever in the area, and have a particular taste for pizza again, I'd stop by again.

Decent "everything" restaurant to stop at on your way though town. Nice folks and really inexpensive for the amount of food you get.

Very good pizza but great pepperoni rolls. The sausage rolls aren't bad either

Good pizza, good pasta. Good price. Kind of slow service. But compared to Pizza Hut, this place rocks.

Excellent Pizza. Also very good sandwiches, especially the Tuna. This is a "hole in the wall" place with excellent pizza. I live in Thurmont and I eat here very often. The service is consistently pretty good and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend the BBQ Chicken Pizza. *Update - 9-7-10* I also highly recommend the Cheese Steak Pizza! Actually it's all really good! -R

FANTASTIC!!!!! Stopped here on the way to Cunningham Falls. WOW, best Pizza I have had outside of NYC/NY. Also had a really good pizza steak sub. So cheap also! 2 huge slices of pepperoni, a 6" pizza steak, 2 sodas and a side salad for $15.50. I am sad this place is so far away from Bethesda
