Diabetics at Pizza Hut
Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.
Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:
You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.
Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. Gross. I'd give it a 0 if I could. We won't eat here anymore. Today my partner went in to order a pizza. He saw the cool throw a towel at the wall. Looked up and saw a cockroach. Then he saw one by the register. He got his money back.. Heads up. Don't eat here unless they clean up their act.

It's just ok if you're hungry. They don't always deliver; depends on if they have a driver, they say. They are incredibly rude. INCREDIBLY. And I can say this after having gone in there 5 or 6 times over the last 3 years.
(2)Elizabeth T.
Someone said it right when they said "Do yourself a favor--if you're thinking about going to Pizza Movers, keep moving!" Go elsewhere. t tastes like they use tomato paste or the cheapest sauce without normal herbs you expect in pizza. Mitigating factor? They do have really nice people working there.
(1)Ham B.
I love this place! Flashbacks to my favorite pizza from the 80s, 90s and even today.

We've been living in Takoma Park for almost a year now. When we first moved to the neighborhood, I noticed this place right away because it's right there at the corner of Eastern Ave and Carroll/Laurel. Maybe Pizza Movers is the reason at least 27% of the drivers at that 4-Way STOP... just... don't. Okay, they probably have nothing to do with those morons, but the people inside this place could use something like an attitude adjustment. In our first few weeks living here in what I now lovingly refer to as "The Gateway to Langley Park" (we are beyond the hospital and across Flower), finishing up the move and getting situated called for pizza several times. Since I had seen this place and it looked awesome (PIZZA in neon ALWAYS looks awesome), I figured I'd bust out of the PapaJ's conformity that I've lived in for so long and give Pizza Movers a try. I mean, as a new Takoma Park resident (even without a Subaru or a beard), I might even be labeled as a corporate pizza loyalist or something worse for not locally sourcing my pizza, right? I had a couple of good orders here. The pizza was okay. It's hard to do pizza very wrong for a long time and I believe this place has been here for quite a while. The prices were also pretty good. Then, why the bad review? Oh right, the attitude thing! I had yet another occasion where pizza seemed like a good plan and called Pizza Movers to order ahead for pickup on my way home. When the guy answered, he continued talking with someone else there in the kitchen or wherever they answer the phone. This is, of course, rude. It's also no way to run a business where you're taking orders over the phone. Since I'm the type that is easily offended by this sort of thing (after running a few businesses where phones were part of the scene), I spoke up with, "are you ready for me now or do you want me to call back later!?" (heavy on the snark). The guy tried to go ballistic on me for daring to call him out. I quickly and curtly cut him off to remind him that he had answered the phone to take my order. He began to go off again, so I hung up. I've never called back. This review was sitting in my drafts for the last 8 months or so because that's how much I really care... only I found myself with a few free minutes responding to follower/friend requests here on Yelp and decided to plow through ALL my drafts. (social media junkie) I guess that Pizza Movers guy inadvertently did me a big favor. I don't eat much pizza anymore and I've lost almost 50lbs since then because I'm getting really good nutrition instead. Ask me bout that and I'll tell you how.
(1)Vameka N.
I have gotten pizza from here a number of times! It is our last min/ need something quick/ cheap for the family of 9 meal. Just know they may go heavy on the sauce if you don't tell them otherwise.
(4)The Grand D.
This was a guilty pleasure for me when I lived in Takoma Park. It does a great job of being what it is: the cheapest possible decent pizza available. Don't serve this to your mom or girlfriend, but if you just want some pizza and you want it cheap, go here.
(3)Randy A.
I have bought pizza's from this store many times, and have never been disappointed. I don't buy cheese or one topping pies. I buy a pizza with Bacon, Onion, Green Pepper, and Pineapple, and it's always delicious. The price is also very reasonable.
(4)Megan K.
Um, I love Pizza Movers. We used to get it once a week, and it used to be $7 for a large pizza! That's only if you pick up, keep in mind. The price doubles if you have it delivered. Now it's $8,but the pizza is huge, and it's gooooood. I am an authority because pizza is my favorite food, so, you know, you should believe what I say. This isn't brick-oven, wood-fired, blah-blah-blah pizza, but thick crust with lots of cheese and tomato sauce. We like jalapenos, but my boyfriend said the chicken wasn't very good. I cannot argue with people who say that the service is awful. My boyfriend always cusses at the phone when he finishes calling in our order, but for $8, who cares? It's not a sit-down restaurant, so you're only dealing with them for a few minutes. And make sure you're calling the right Pizza Movers. There's another one on Flower, three blocks from my apartment, that we don't go to because they don't have the super cheap deal for picking up. What? Why, Flower Pizza Movers, why? You are missing out on many of my dollars.
(4)Mateo d.
This pizza is utterly fine. Nothing flashy, nothing fresh or impressive, but the carry out prices are great for one pizza or more. We got an 18 inch for almost $10 after tax and it was hot and gleaming and just what we wanted on a rainy night. The guy serving us literally did it while on taking a personal call and chatting some drama, but the order was out 15 minutes after I placed it, so I couldn't care less. Basically, it's big, it's cheap and it's not bad. I'll be back whenever I'm too tired to cook if it stays just like this, no doubt about it.
(4)Julia B.
A small cheese pizza is around $6. It's just ok. Good when you're in a pinch but not especially tasty.
(2)Jamie W.
Visiting this place once was enough for me! The wait time was very long and the staff was very rude! I could probably handle that if the food was good, but they didn't put sauce on my wings (wtf?) and the pizza wasn't anything to write home about. The other customers waiting with me didn't have nice things to say about this place either, which makes me wonder how it's still in business!
(1)Masi R.
Just moved to this neighborhood and figured I would start getting to know it. Decided that my daughter and I would try out pizza movers... Went it and had to wait a minute or two for a guy in a button up short to come from the back. We ordered and the price was super good but while we were waiting something fell from the ceiling and it was a roach. By this time it was no use in leaving as we had already paid and there was no turning back.. So after about a 15 minute wait the pizza's were done checked them to make sure they were correct and there were no stowaways.. Got home and the pizza was pretty good.. I would rate higher but the whole bug falling from the ceiling thing just rubbed me the wrong way.. In a crunch we might order again because it was pretty good pizza..
(2)Todd W.
I feel comfortable saying that this is some of the worst pizza I've ever had. Do your self a favor and go to 7-11 and get some 4 hour old pizza cooking under a heat lamp.
(1)Leigh M.
I was not impressed with the customer service, the physical place where I picked up my food, nor was I blown away by the quality or price of the pizza. It was decent tasting but nothing special. The wings were fatty. I came here because friends had recommended it but if I'd checked yelp first I wouldn't have come here. I'm checking with them to see if I misheard or just got the wrong place.
(2)James S.
An hour later the pizza arrived, luke warm and in dire need of some help. The "garden salad" was ok if you consider shreds of iceberg lettuce, a handful of olives and a shit ton of green peppers a "garden." Here's my advice, unless you're a stoner recluse college student on a budget (and even many of them have higher standards then this!) I never thought I'd endorse Dominos, but it could be the better of two evils here!!! I wish there were 1/2 a star, which I give them for having the balls to continue to answer their phone and take orders.
(1)Pat G.
Ordered delivery. The young lady answering the phone was patient and helpful. The delivery person had a wonderful smile, was friendly, yet professional, and left by saying, "thank you for calling Pizza Movers!" Okay, they have a pretty good staff The pizza, extra cheese with sausage and garlic, was only (and barely) okay. Asked for extra cheese, though it didn't appear on the pizza. The sausage quite frankly, had very little taste. The garlic was GREAT. Also ordered BBQ Wings. AWESOME! And they come with potato wedges! Bonus! Summing up: service is great; pizza is fair; BBQ wings with wedges are off da hook! Three stars because a pizza joint should have wonderful pizza and they failed. I will order again.
(3)Jay S.
Ok so here's the deal, the pizza is not bad.. Your paying 8.99 for a xlarge pizza. (18inch) don't expect gourmet type pizza. I like it esp when the wallet is light. I would say papa johns is better than this, but prob a little better than the pizza you would get from 711. I also ordered there "fire wings" 10 PC for 10 $. What a rip off. I def over payed. But it came with fries. There so called fire wings wasn't at spicy at all. Hardly any sauce either, but it came with steak fries. Not impressed.
(3)Helen B.
Horrible and rude customer service!! The person taking the order over the phone was beyond rude and blatantly disrespectful. To make matters worse, the pizza was bland and basic... If I could give 0 stars, I would. All I wanted was a good pizza from a local establishment that was right down the street from my house. I never would have guessed that a phone call to order pizza was going to result in my intelligence being insulted. I wanted to support a local family business but I won't make that mistake again...
(1)Anthony R.
Although the prices are dirt cheap for carry-out pizza at Pizza Movers (one topping 16" $6.99). The pizza really does taste good.
(3)Herbert N.
A-OK about covers it. OK, a little better than "meh methinks I've had better", but just barely. you get pretty much what you expect here. cheap pizza, not particularly remarkable, but serviceable and tasty enough if you are in the market for quick carryout or pick up. certainly not a place that will be frightening the likes of 2 Amy's ( yelp.com/biz/2-amys-wash… ), but not terrible either. also, I quite liked the gyro sandwich they make here (maybe a little bit more than the pizza, frankly). one negative note... I "picked up" my pizza and I can't say that the kitchen and food prep area I spied exactly overwhelmed me in the cleanliness category. all in all. not bad, not great. fine if you are in the market for quick and cheap pizza.
(3)yvette r.
Pizza Movers is three blocks from my apartment, and yet they will not deliver to me. We went down the list with the guy on the phone. We are within the radius of delivery, a 2 min car trip. We are one block in on the Maryland side, not the DC side of Eastern Ave. We have $$$ and want to give it to you...right now! No delivery.... "We won't deliver to THAT building." Hangs up. I know I can walk up there and get the pizza carry-out, but I actually want it to be hot when I eat it, and there is no earthly reason why they can't deliver to our building.
(1)Paul O.
I don't know why everyone is so disappointed by this place. It's really quite decent for basic pizza. The toppings are good, the crust is also good, and best of all it's not as greasy as other pizzas. They make it quickly and it's right down the street. The price is also great for an x-tra large 3-topping. The credit card limit is kind of a pain, but again, I really like this pizza. It's not like Roscoe's or other fancy pizza, but it's good for what it is.
(4)Robyn G.
Anyone who says the pizza here probably loves pizza hut, papa johns, and dominos. This is definitely one of the best no frills pizza around and can't be beat for the price. 12 years and counting of fantastic pies. Good crust and fantastic sauce! Keep up the good work!
(5)shawn d.
decent pizza without the strange aftertaste of bolis or the greasiness of a lot of other non-major-chain places. yes, it was a pain in the ass trying to order and they barely speak english, but i appear to be one of the fortunate few that they will deliver to and the thin crust pizza was actually fairly crispy, something which the major chains 9again, including bolis) have never been able to accomplish.
(3)Roy S.
Yes it would be easier if you spoke spanish while ordering and their menu does need help with spelling and grammer but all in all i have always loved their pizza and if you pick it up the price is hard to beat!
(4)Trux S.
Not great but half-decent pizza for a really fair price, particularly if you pick it up. Guy that answers the phone is a grade-A douche and I've had more than one incident with his surliness. One time, I ordered a fairly complicated order. He always wants to just hang up quickly but I asked him if he'd please read my order back to me. He asked me, "Why would I do that?" Jackass, don't ask that question. It's obvious why I'm asking. Then he said, "You tell me, I write it down." I see. English doesn't appear to be your first language, you only muttered 'uh huh' the entire time I placed my order, and I'd merely like to know we are on the same page. Why, indeed.
(3)Fitz T.
Why are you reading this review?? It's 12 midnight. You're in Takoma Park. You don't have a choice! You will shell out more money than you should for a horrible meatball sub: bread, not enough sauce, three old, huge meatballs. And then, next time, you will order a small pizza with no toppings. Only price point worth going for, here.
(1)Jeff C.
Updating my review from a month ago. I've now bought pizza from Pizza Movers in Takoma Park at least a dozen times now and the pizza is consistantly good (not the greatest but good delivery pizza) and you cannot beat the price. $13 for an extra large with 3 toppings. I always do carry out so I can't say anything about their delivery. I will say I don't understand people's complaints about the staff. I've spoken to at least 3 different employees when I've called and ordered on the phone and each one has been courteous, efficient and spoke english fine. So the guy has an accent, get over it.
(4)Laura L.
You can not be a true NW local without having ordered Pizza Movers at least once in a drunken stupor. PM fits the bill if you are craving Jumbo Slice, but too lazy to venture out 'a pied' or in your bath robe after a 12 hour work day. Though not even slightly feigning to compete with the gourmet market (e.g., 'Two Amys'), PM is ooey-gooey, hardy, and hits-the-spot yummy, like every remembered delivery pizza of your youth. Though, assuredly, not remotely resembling the pizza I have had in Italy and Europe, this has that American, no, DC (emphasis), gusto, with the quintessential mid-Altlantic chew to its crust and zing to its sauce. It is not to be eaten with a fork and knife, but guzzled with hungry fervor and forgiving taste-buds. Two detailed notes, however, on my last order. The calzone is GI-NORMOUS. I am a very small, skinny girl, and that could feed me for 10 days, but it was deelish, worth the entire $12, and fed my fiance (inadvertently) as well. The 'grilled chicken salad' is really a hunk of iceberg with fried chicken on top. Beware, eek! Overall, a hometown three stars. Yum(ish) pizza, half-assed salad, and actually kinda/really pricey for the quality. But, hey, it's Pizza Movers.
(3)Jade T.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Why? Because, how am I supposed to rate a restaurant that won't deliver to me? It's not like I live far away. They offer delivery, I live 0.8 miles away and yet they refuse to deliver. When I asked why, I was met with hostility. The guy I spoke with said that they "have to have limits" (whatever that means). I pointed out that their restaurant is within walking distance of our apartment complex, but he said that they do not deliver that far away. What BS. This conversation went on for a few minutes before I gave up and decided it was not worth my breath. I informed him that I would be Yelping his restaurant, and he simply said, "that's fine." It is obvious that customer satisfaction is not a priority at Pizza Movers, because they are afraid to cross that magic line into the District. I would hate to think of the possible reasons why they are unwilling to drive 10 blocks to deliver a pizza to a hungry would-be-patron (who orders a pizza at least once a week). I could have driven to them, or even walked, but the whole concept of them not wanting to deliver to us was so dissuading, that I chose to order from someone else who was willing to cross over from the Maryland side. I know I certainly will never (try to) order from Pizza Movers again. Update: Before heading to the Takoma Park Farmers Market a few days after this review was written, I went into Pizza Movers to inquire about their delivery policy. Me: Do you deliver? Them: Yes, where do you live? Me: How far away will you deliver? Them: Where do you live? Me: In DC. Them: We don't deliver past Georgia Avenue. Where in DC do you live? Me: On Butternut Street. Them: Where on Butternut? Me: 9th Street (and Butternut). Them: Yes, we'll deliver to the 900 block. Even though by their own admissions, they won't travel PAST Georgia, and will deliver within one block of our apartment on the NEAR side of Georgia, but won't deliver ONTO Georgia. They will go 9 blocks, but not 10! MAYBE if I could meet them in the apartment's back parking lot on the 9th block of Butternut .. Nah, I'm done with them.

Cheap, deliverable, almost speaks enough English to take your order. As per my review, call Pizza Boli's.

Mediocre pizza and really it's hard to make pizza poorly. It's cheese, it's bread, ba-da-boom, just stay out of its way. So I gave a star for each ingredient. - Still looking for quality pizza in TP/SS area.
