I love their Gyro! It is right outside the main gate of Joint Base Andrews, next to the gas station. I usually order before I leave the base and by the time I get there it is ready for pick up. Definitely better than Mcdonalds next door

Here for TDY at Andrews and finally tried this 'dive' just outside the main gate. Omg! The food is amazing. I've had the pizza, which was very cheesy, the pastrami sandwich (my fav so far), the baklava (must try!!!), and the rum honey bun cake (rum!!!). This place may not look very inviting from the outside, but I can assure you the food is high quality. It's also very fast! Call in orders are taken and to go orders only have a short wait. Don't waste your time going to a fast food joint. This is the place to eat near Andrews if you want outstanding, reasonably priced, quick food!

Not the most comfortable/relaxing environment but the subs are delicious.

I love this place, great food I know it's not healthy but who cares great food isn't supposed to be good for you. My wife and I can call in an order and when I get there it's ready. Great job guys!!!!

This place is an Andrews AFB staple. Good is great, people are nice, family owned, did I mention the good is amazing? Parking is small but adequate since they are fast! Family is 100% Greek.

Sorry to say, I do not like this place. Unlike my BF, he eats here almost every weekend. Needless to say, we have very different taste buds. I let him talk me into getting a sub, after I said I would never eat here again. I should have stuck to my guns. The sub I ordered was awful (turkey breast). Too much bread and not enough meat, thats there MO even their steak and cheese is on he skimpy side. I will say their wings are not bad, but how can anyone mess up wings. So if you are looking for a late night snack and you want to go to bed satisfied, skip this place.

Go for the sandwiches and the gyros! If you're going to order the pizza, have it be at 11pm for a drunken snack. It's pretty greasy but not half bad. Very convenient to Andrews AFB (it's almost directly across from the gate). I know we'll be back.

I'm new to the area and had been digging around on Yelp for some local spots to try. This one popped up, and honestly, I didn't bother to bookmark it. Just didn't sound like my kind of thing. Well, after shopping for hours with my mother who likes to go down every aisle at the commissary (why?!), I was HANGRY (hungry+angry). This place would just have to do. I ordered the steak and cheese (because it got beautiful reviews) and the wings. I needed to see what this mumbo sauce was all about. I also got some fries with a side of cheese sauce. The service was fine. I wasn't wowed, but it wasn't awful by any means. Didn't bother me one bit. Everything was made to order. I'll never complain about that. The steak and cheese sub was okay. I've had some pretty amazing ones in the past, so I can't say this was my favorite... or 2nd favorite... or 3rd favorite. I'd go for the NY Italian Deli's version over this one, BUT their hours aren't anything like these. This place stays open super late (or early... whatever), so it's okay for that. The wings were fine. The mumbo sauce helped. It's a little spicy, but the spice doesn't linger. I'm here for it. I would go back. I do want to try the pizza... and a gyro. :)

The steak and cheese is so yummy. The shoestring French fries with cheese sauce is a plus and the wings yummy get bbq sauce and mambo sauce lol. The only thing I didn't like is the variety of drinks they told me they had lemonade ice tea and the lemonade was out of the soda machine which I don't like but I love there food if u like soft sub rolls and good provolone must try.

New to the area - stopped for a gyro combo platter - just outside Anderson AFB. Great service, clean location - fantastic gyro, crispy fries - fresh / clean Greek salad and wonderful Tzatziki and Greek dressing. Keep up the great service / food - I will be back! ~ Brian

Been coming here for YEARS. This is the after hours spot for eats. Subs, pizzas, etc. the cheesesteak with everything is the business! Sliced steak grilled with onions and peppers(or however you like) on a soft roll served to order. I get it with Provolone cheese. Fries made to order and always hot. Try EM with vinegar and ketchup. My meal was $8.22 and very filling. Come through!

So for the record, this was one of the best steak and cheese sandwiches I have ever had. But the french fries, were disgraceful. They were a little over $4, but were not worth a penny more than $1, So skip the french fries, but do get a sandwich! One of the best I have had in a long time. And to top it all off, the staff was very friendly on the phone and in person. Definitely a fan of this place!

I came to DC for the Thanksgiving holiday and as tradition my mum never cooks the day before. My brothers decided we would try a new place for steak and cheese sandwiches. So we went to Jiffy Shoppes since it was the closest to her house. The appearance is a bit sketchy, but once inside its extremely lit and everyone is very friendly. It was a bit of a wait to get our food, but it was reasonable for the amount of food we ordered (a pizza, strombolio, 3 cheese steaks, and fries). Everything was yummy--so we will definitely visit again. PS- the fries aren't gross, they just don't have salt on them, I'm sure if you asked they would accommodate you, so just add salt yourself?

I love the pizza but the subs are just okay. They are usually way more bread then meat and I don't like kind of bread they use. But I'm also very picky so I didn't really ding then for that. What they excel in is their Gyro's. You won't find many places in the area that are better.

2 am run. my boyfriend introduced me to them few weeks ago with a very cheesy pizza. we came here after two holiday parties and was still hungry. the place is nothing fancy, and you can tell that they know their customers. they were very friendly even at 2am! the food was good and fast, not that we was in a rush. and they use real Gyro meat... not the kind you find in boxes and folks heat up!

I ordered a steak and cheese sub, and I have to say it was one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had from a carryout. The meat was sparse, even though I ordered extra meat, was not seasoned well, the onions and mushrooms were horrible, actually was just over cooked and mushy. I kinda put them as a hit or miss type of place, but they definitely aren't high on my list for a repeat visit. .

This makes the second time I stopped here. The service was a little slow the first time, but it was super busy as well. I ordered a pizza, and what I can remember it was just ok. This time, I went for the gyro and small greek salad. The food is ok, nothing that really stands out. The price is a little high...for something that was just mediocre.

Terrible....sub was bland fries were probably the worst I've had in years (similar to mcdonalds fries after they got cold and you tried to reheat them in the microwave) barely any cheese on steak and cheese sub. will not be going back for sure. Regret the $12 I spent on it smdh.

Great Steak and cheese subs. We've ordered them over and over. The pizza is not much better than a frozen one. Definitely avoid that and just go for the subs!

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
