Heard about the 3 little pigs sandwich since I started working in the area a year ago. Wish I would have gotten it sooner. 1 of best sandwiches ever just a little over priced

The food here is insanely overpriced. I had a turkey sandwich for around $7, which was literally just slices of turkey on a bun. My friend also paid around the same amount for a hot dog with cheese and marinara sauce. However, the staff here seems very nice, and the service is quite fast.

It was not clear to me at first that this is, more or less, a carryout with no tables at all. There is a bar next door and in the "ally" between the two buildings is a faux tiki outdoor bar area with sand, umbrellas deck chairs, etc. It was very much a "we haven't grown up, and smoke while drinking bud light out of a can" kind of crowd. But that can be good if the food lives up to the hype. We asked at the BBQ and they said go eat in that area-- it was not at all clear that it was OK or expected. I wanted ribs, but without a table that seemed like a bad idea. I got a pit beef sandwich. It was kind of dry and flavorless. My son and his friend had a pit turkey, which was much better. The fries were just OK, the onion rings were clearly from a bag and the fried pickles were underdone. Whatever, we were all eating and I was not going to complain. Then,1/2 was through eating, a bouncer comes over and says that we have to leave--at 7PM it is 21 and over. It was 7:20 and we had come in after 7--the time stamp on my receipt said as much. They went as far as to walk the boys out while my wife went to get bags and foil to wrap things up. There is no sign saying any of this. Had I not had the kids there I'd have plopped the 1/2 eaten food down and asked for my money back. To sum it up, if you like Dundalk on a Friday night and want to eat below average food on beach chairs and be treated poorly, be my guest.

Hired this guy to come to a two day Music Fest to help raise money for the Special Olympics and serve his BBQ and he never showed up!! Several calls to him and his so called restaurant and he would not return any calls. So I would suggest going to any other restaurant you can find. The only resaon he got a one star rating was because they did off anything less than that.

Disclaimer: If you don't like real ribs (or if you cut the fat off of pork and chicken before you eat it), this is not the place for you. Do you know what I am saying? I am so glad this place was open on July 4th. We spent the morning calling places like Mission BBQ...only to be disappointed that they weren't open. Let me just say their ribs are SOOOO good! I mean pork is already good to begin with, but they make it EXCELLENT. We even tried their chicken wings and they are also excellent. In my humble opinion, chicken is a mediocre protein, but the Grill Sergeant somehow turns this mediocre protein into something amazing. Their fried pickles are also great because they're perfectly crispy (so many places make fried pickles that end up soggy).

Having had great slow smoked BBQ and having 2 BBQ pits of my own, I looked forward to trying out the Grill Sargent's BBQ fare. I ordered a minced pork and sliced pork sandwich. You'd never have known the meat on either of these sandwiches had ever been in a BBQ pit, not even a hint of smoke. I even asked for some outside bark on the sliced pork, and after tasting it it tasted just like it had been roasted in an oven. From a culinary standpoint, barbecue is a cooking method that involves fire and smoke. Lacking the smoke, it's not BBQ. For $21 for 2 pork sandwiches and a soda, these guys are real proud of their oven cooked pork. If the ribs and other fare are as smoke free as the pork, which I suspect they might be ( I never even smelled a hint of hickory, oak or maple smoke near the place), save yourself the time and to to a good BBQ place like Bear Creek.

We tried this place last weekend. The place was a bit busy as a result of a dog rescue event. We tried the sliced pork and sliced beef BBQ sandwich along with an order of fries and onion rings. We've tried a lot of BBQ places and the sandwiches here just didn't seem to stand out. I trust they have their own smoker on premises. But the meat by itself just didn't have much flavor. And I think the biggest challenge was the service or setup. It was frustrating to get a take out order and not have someone remind us they don't put BBQ sauce in the bag before walking away. And the BBQ sauce container sits outside the walk up window in a large pump container that barely worked. And the sauce just didn't add much to the sandwhich. And while I wouldn't put much weight on fries at a BBQ place, they were OK at best - a mix of straight cut and crinkle cut, which was odd. Soda's are limited to canned drinks. We wanted to like the place - we skipped past the oyster and crab cake places to try BBQ. Perhaps it was just an off day.... but I wouldn't come back given other choices on the Island.
