Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

5 different types of dumplings. 'nuff said.

Good dumplings, also good eggplant with black bean sauce and green beans with bean curd/tofu. Eggrolls always fresh.

Liked this place. Excellent friendly and cozy atmosphere. Food was delicious. I recommend this place to eat at.

This place sucks food is nasty, their food is not fresh taste like it was left over from a few days ago, I recommend the laughing Buddha food is fresh its not soggy like this place veggies are wilted food is just plain nasty sorry just my opinion everybody's got one

I definitely prefer this place over laughing buddha. I always order sesame chicken and wonton soup. Both were exponentially better here than at Laughing Buddha. They seem to care a lot more about the quality of their food than a lot of other chinese restaurants I've been to.

Although recently renovated, this strip mall restaurant still has a cramped and claustrophobic dining room without windows. It will make you feel like you are dining in your neighbor's basement. The food is ok, and if you dine in, the service is also ok. But I was recently burned on a take out order. Phoned it in 90 minutes ahead of desired pick up, and then had to wait 25 minutes when I did arrive at the time previously agreed upon. It was obvious that they did not start cooking the order until I arrived. So I stood around the entrance way for 25 minutes while others were served ahead of me. No real apology was offered even when I politely inquired of the manager about how to avoid a similar situation in future. My advice? Do yourself a favor and go 200 yards north to Laughing Buddha. The food is better, the wine is great with really generous portions, and the take out orders are ready when they say they will be.

Throughly enjoyed my visit the other night. Nice little place with very limited seating, but the food was delicious. I recommend the crab wonton to start, and the main dishes were definitely worth the price. The one negative was that it did get full, and the wait staff, which was one server and one food runner, could not keep up. I didn't mind waiting around for every course and the check, but I could tell many other tables were getting frustrated.

Perfectly decent American Chinese food (which is wonderful, because Chinese Chinese food is not for me), but the restaurant gets 5 stars for always being spotlessly clean. Also, they have great takeout service, which makes them my husband's favorite Friday-night-stop on the way to the boat. If you're Yelping from a marina - this place is for you!

Doesn't look like much from the outside; just a strip mall. Notable given the many scenic views that some other restaurants have nearby. However, the inside has some nice decorations and is a pleasant and quiet place to eat. It's an odd structure; the kitchen is somewhat open and in the middle, and there are a few tables in the front and more in back. There aren't a lot of restaurants in Solomons with any real vegetarian options, and this place came recommended to me. Service was notably good. Waiter was attentive and engaging and refilled water quickly without being asked despite being busy. They brought out free crispy noodles and dipping sauce. Food didn't come fast, but it was well presented and Solomons is not a place for people in a hurry. They offer a choice of white, brown, or fried rice at no extra charge, which is nice. On service alone, I was inclined to rate them four stars. But the food itself just didn't justify it. An average spring roll, and when they didn't have the spicy tofu dish I wanted (it was on their website but not on their actual menu; perhaps due to change in management?), I ordered another that sounded good, bean curd in black bean sauce. And despite being artfully presented on a bed of Chinese spinach and covered in black beans, it just didn't have the amount of flavor I was hoping for, and there were more onions than tofu. Everyone else eating there seemed to be ecstatic; maybe I just ordered the wrong dish, or maybe, like most restaurants in Solomons, seafood is their thing and they aren't great with the vegetarian stuff. Bottom line: it was fine, but not great. If I went again and found a dish I liked better, I could see adding another star.

Best kept Chinese secret in southern Maryland! Friendly service, awesome food, great presentation and gluten free choices. They even have gluten free soy sauce. If you're looking for Chinese food don't go anywhere else.

The short version: We ordered Roast Pork spring rolls, steamed meat dumplings, General chicken, Moo Shu chicken chicken fried rice and hot tea. Everything was great! We will return and you should check it out. The prices are reasonable. No doubt it is definitely the best Chinese food in the the area. Fresh HOT mustard! The long version: As recommended by other Yelpers, we started with the steamed "meat" dumplings and spring rolls. The dumplings were hand made and very good. Included was a sweet dumpling dipping sauce. The spring rolls were also very tasty. They were served with Fresh hot mustard and a sweet duck sauce. I'm a huge fan of hot Chinese mustard and duck sauce. Their hot mustard was so good I had to order 2 more servings for my meal and one to go with our leftovers. It is definitely the best fresh mustard in the area. Every other place serves the crap in packets. I ordered the "old faithful" General Tso's chicken. I ordered it extra spicy. They hit it out of the park. It was flavorful dark meat chicken with a great sauce. That sauce was spicy and sweet. The chicken was battered and fried to crunchy perfection. My wife ordered the Moo Shu chicken with the pancakes. There was plenty of chicken, vegetables and pancakes. It also was cooked correctly. The chicken was tender and the veggies were crisp. My son ordered the small order of Chicken (white meat) fried rice. The small order was $4.25 and it was more than he could eat. In fact he was able to take home a full container of leftovers. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!!! The waiter boxed ALL of our leftovers and there was a lot. The presentation was excellent on every dish. Every plate had a nice garnish and was served on unique dishes. They definitely pay a lot of attention to the details. Inside the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was really nice. I read other reviews saying that you had to walk thru a dirty kitchen with mops and trash every where. That was not the case when we ate there on Saturday night. Well, the China harbor may not be pretty from the outside. I've been by it thousands of times and never gone in. From the outside it looks like another bad Americanized buffet. Well I tell you the truth, that is not the case at all. THIS IS NOT A BAD BUFFET RESTAURANT. In fact they don't even have a buffet. They have the best Chinese food in the area. Do not let the outside fool you, everything about this place was good. The China Harbour is much better than their neighboring competitor called the Laughing Buddha.

This is a fine example of Chinese food gone gourmet, with a few Thai specials offered. We over-ordered but were so glad we did. Everything we had has subtlety of flavor, whether Classic Chinese, or Thai. A must stop for us (once or twice) for every one of our short stays on Soloman's Island. This restaurant is under-recognized. A secret treasure!

I was rather impressed with this place! Above average quality food, except that they don't use white meat chicken, and for the price they charge, I believe they should. The crab rangoons were made with real blue crab, they were awesome. The atmosphere is... different, a little weird but everything else is decent.

The dining room is odd as a previous review stated. However, the food is great! Everytime I have ordered (subsequent visits have been carryout) I have been pleased. My favorite is the shrimp and asparagus. The asparagus has been fresh and yummy every time I have ordered. I would recommend to anyone. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Best Chinese food in three counties, hands down. The food is fresh, portions are huge, and service is good. I recommend the steamed dumplings, crabmeat wontons, hunan combination, and the triple crown. The crabmeat wontons are real crabmeat not surimi - don't miss them.

Standard Americanized Chinese place but with food a slight notch above other Americanized Chinese places. Do not go out of my way to eat there, but the few times I'm passing through I've ordered some carry out. Portions are pretty large. Occasionally have had some 'less than fresh' items (i.e. flavorless vegetables over smothered with sauce in an attempt to hid their lack of quality). I now order many of my chicken dishes with a request they use less sauce (so I can have some flavor to the things in the food). Still, it's worth a try. I would agree it is probably the best in the area, but that's not really saying much. There are very few Chinese living in this area when compared to DC, and there are no mega-Asian groceries that I can find (i.e. nothing to rival Rockville and Fairfax). Biggest negative is that the interior is poorly designed. You walk through a bar, then through part of the kitchen (mops, dishes, boxes) to enter the dining room (seriously). Place should be gutted and redesigned. You can lose your appetite just walking in the place. Once in your seat it's pretty with a large mural of a nearby bridge and the water, it's just getting there that can be annoying.
