Fantastic find! We just threw a huge party and used the Bistro as the venue. The food was exceptional and the staff was great. Everyone had a wonderful time and complimented the food which is what any party planner wants to hear! Five star find without a doubt.

Fine dining struggles in southern Maryland. It's difficult to find a successful execution of ambiance, service, and food at a high level down here...it almost doesn't exist. Belle Maison tries very hard to accomplish this, albeit with a few shortcomings. Two people front of house, and what I'm guessing was no more than 2 in the kitchen were just about able to keep up with the 10 or so tables. This was charming. You could tell that each plate was prepared and cared for equally as it left the kitchen. However, they were out of 3 menu items and one vital cordial for a signature cocktail. I had come for the fish, and went with the pasta as they were out of it, and it was just OK. Still, a special place that merits a visit when you're sick of fried seafood and want something intimate and unique.

This place is so great! Intimate and attentive all at once. Gave us the privacy at our table we desired and fed us a fantastic meal with awesome service. We will be back again and again! Just sad we didn't try it till two years into our stay here in SOMD

First time dining thoughly enjoyed the experience. Great atmosphere with water views & excellent service. We started off with the salad the waitress suggested was large enough for us to share. It was lightly dressed and the dressing was delicious not too strong on the vinegar...but just tasty enough. i enjoyed the salmon which was prepared to perfection seasoned perfectly and accompanied by roasted peppers and eggplant which was also very flavorful . My husband had the tuna which also was perfectly done served on a bed of black bean salsa and two tortillas. He found the combination to be an interesting variety of flavors. Waitress service was wonderful, attentive enough but not intrusive. We certainly will be coming back again soon!

One of the fanciest places I have ever been for this kinda price. It's not to crowded and the food is great. Really good chicken waffles. Can't wait to come back

This place is a little gem tucked away in Solomons Island amongst your typical seafood restaurants in the area. The chef Amanda is a wonder in creating eclectic and tantalizing dishes with the menu changing each week. The view from the dining area overlooks Patuxent River and sailboats galore. Highly recommend making reservations and checking this place out.

Wow! Just when I thought my off-season trip to Solomon's was a bust--this place is great! Everyhing they brought out was delicious. From the fresh bread doused in olive oil, to the spicy green salad, to the entree of roasted pork belly! I usually pick at pork belly and just eat the lean bits. I ate the entire thing at Bistro Belle Maison. Perfect! Ambiance was nice and unique. We sat by one of the large windows in the "living room" with a great view of the harbor and the water. Server was attentive, professional, and friendly.

Good food. I wished they had stated all ingredients since I ended up spending most of dinner pulling red peppers out of my dish as I do not care for them and was not aware they would be added or I would have requested that they be left out. It did take quite some time to prepare the food. It took a long time to get bread as well. The view is gorgeous. I actually purchased Le Creuset pans of my own and my husband finds my cooking just as good and a lot faster than our experience here and I am not a chef! I believe we waited at least 40 min for our dinners...

Not to be missed. We came by dinghy. They have a dock right next to the Solomon's Island Yacht Club. Promptly seated. We had a Tomato Neapolitan with fried green tomatoes, eggplant, fried sage, feta and a kalamata olive tampanade.Absolutely delicious. I had a corvino fish over quinoa with beans and a grapefruit salad. Great blend of flavors. Delicious. Spouse had a corn and crab pancake with country ham and a slaw. Also delicious. They change their menu every few days to take advantage of fresh local produce. If you are looking for something unique, expertly prepared, this is the place.

Delicious, high-end meals at fair prices. My wife and I went there for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. (probably our new favorite place for special dinners). The menu changes weekly and they're only open Thu-Sat so everything stays fresh and interesting. There isn't a lot of seating so you need to make reservations to ensure you can get in. The menu reads like a high-end restaurant in the big city (but it's in the quaint little town of Solomons Island).

Very small, quaint restaurant in what looks like a house overlooking the water. There are only about 10 tables, so I'd say making a reservation is a must (if not already required). Great menu and the staff is super friendly. I'll be returning.

The food was fantastic and the view off the back porch beautiful. The only downfall was the service. The restaurant needs to take time to educate the waitstaff and make sure they aren't treating the clientele poorly. I will be back, but hope I get another waiter!

What a great find. The food was great service perfect. Don't come here for "local seafood" but enjoyable in every way

I hosted a bridal shower at this venue. It was absolutely beautiful and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. I loved it here! I will definitely be coming back. Gorgeous view!

My grandmother and I were searching for a new place to have brunch two Sundays ago and this place piqued my interest! A very quaint, hidden little bistro inside of a bed and breakfast, it's like you are actually eating in someones dining room and you can see the kitchen! We have been here the past two Sundays after church and the food has been absolutely amazing. The flavors are spot on and the food is all very unique using high quality, local farm-to-table ingredients. I am hooked and I don't care about the price because the quality and flavors are absolutely delicious! So happy to have found this little gem! They only have a handful of tables so reservations are recommended!

Amazing small plates restaurant. Just what Solomons needed. Best part is, there is a new menu every week so you will never tire of what they have to offer.

Excellent Sunday brunch in a genuine B&B and bistro restaurant with outdoor seating and live music. In the evenings this is a modern American/French restaurant, but we went for brunch. The food is really very good, particularly in an area of mediocre fare, with real inventiveness on the menu. The terrace faces a nice sheltered marina, and although we sat inside (where a rather good live musician was playing) we still had a good view of the water. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an interesting, home-cooked brunch - and believe me, we did our research!

I was thrilled when this Bistro opened in Solomons! Overlooking the water, the dining room is small yet elegant making me feel like I am on vacation even though I am local. Everything I've eaten has been amazing. The head chef trained at the Culinary Institute of America. Every week she visits local farms and writes a new menu (which is published on the website). The menu consists of "small plates" but I find the portions to be more generous then they sound. Three small plates have always been plenty for two of us to share. And I love that they are meant to be shared! The prices are beyond reasonable for the gourmet quality. The wine list is also the best in Solomons Island. The bistro is small, which adds to its charm. I highly recommend a reservation. Also, it is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

The Bistro Belle Maison, part of the Blue Heron Inn, is THE new treasure in Solomons and Southern Maryland. Chef/owner Amanda is a trained chef with amazing creativity and culinary talents in her menu that changes weekly depending on what fresh food is available in the local area. The bistro is open Thurs, Fri, and Sat evenings. There are a small number of indoor and outdoor tables (overlooking Solomons harbor), so reservations are a good idea. We have best results by sending our reservation request to Amanda at blueheronbandb@msn.com . The weekly menu features 8-10 small plate dishes that are usually enough for one entree or for a tasting menu for 2 couples. Typical dishes are 2 or 3 starter types like soup, salad, escargot, mussels, etc. The rest are entree types that include a beef, pork, or lamb dish; a vegetarian dish; a seafood dish; and sometimes a poultry selection. Depending on what's available in the local market, she'll add other entree selections. Taste and presentation are incredible. Menu items are normally priced from $12-18. Fresh, warm bread with butter or olive oil are also served. We've been going almost every week since she opened, and haven't seen the selections duplicated exactly. Wine selection is small but adequate and features both glass and bottle selections that are very good quality (not your typical cheap wine from large wineries). Most bottles run $18-25! They also have a small bar for cocktails. We usually go with 1 or 2 other couples, order 2 starter items for sharing, one entree each, one bottle of wine per couple, and 1 or 2 desserts for sharing -- our bill has never exceeded $100 per couple! If you like great food, you have to try the bistro.
