I visited today (4/14/15) ordered iced latte w/caramel & whipped cream. Great drink/service.

Larger than average *$, standard service, lots of tables but people seemed to be looking for outlets. Fine for a quick caffeine fix in the Sprung. Sidewalk tables if the weather is clement.

I like this Starbucks. It's almost always crowded, but generally the line moves quickly and the drinks come out reasonably fast. The quality of this Starbucks is a cut above some of the others in the DC area - the employees are pretty much with it and the drinks are right (sometimes rare in downtown DC). Plus, I like their space. Not bad!

Great location on Ellsworth, lots of out door seating, good service, great coffee...what's not to like!

This has to be my favourite Starbucks. It has a super chilled vibe about it and the kind of staff that actually become your friends and deserve HUGE trophies for always going out of their way to get your order done. The seating is limited but the waiting is short (apart from morning rush). Oh another thing - free, fast wifi is available! Whoop whooooooop!! **BIG UPS TO THE STAFF MEMBER BY THE NAME OF GINA, MOST HARD WORKING GIRL EVER AND MAKES THE BEST COFFEE**

Not the fastest in the morning but they're trying. Quite small on the inside but there are plenty of seats outside. In the evenings, Ellsworth is sometimes blocked off for road traffic making this a great spot to enjoy a coffee while watching people. The usual coolers (one in the wall, to save space) of pastries and drinks for your caffeinated pleasure.

It's a small starbucks and seating can be hectic. I came here with a stroller and I sweated trying to navigate through to order my drink, pay, wait to get my drink, and get out. It was a horrendous experience. But my caramel macchiato came out as expected. So 2 starts for that. But organization of the store is just unthinkable..

Nice Starbucks. Service went pretty well when I went there. The stuff taste delicious. And has fast Wi-Fi. I'd go here again with some friends.

Line moves fast. Has a nice area with tables so you can work on your laptop or meet with someone. High speed internet is great!

I have visited this Starbucks outlet in Downtown Silver Spring on a number of occasions and have always been satisfied with the service here. It can get really crowded but the service is spot on.

Quick service, well made drinks, but there were boxes stacked on half the tables and in the stair way. Also, tables were kind of messy and could use a couple more wipe downs during the day.

They've got it all here!! Even though I just got a croissant & a refresher, I loved the variety of things they had there. Will def be back!

There are pros & cons to this Starbucks. Although the location is absolutely fabulous (if you live in downtown Silver Spring and you are walking), parking can most definitely be a headache (especially if you go to this one on the weekends. In addition to that, the line tends to get pretty long and there NEVER seems to be enough places to sit. But then again on the flip side, the drinks are always pretty good and the staff is always cool, so.... I would come to this Starbucks again, but I'd also be willing to leave quickly given the circumstances at the time!

I do not know what sick, sadistic satisfaction the employees of this Starbucks get from making early morning customers wait out in the cold but I am sick of it. This location opens up at 6am Monday - Saturday. I come here after 6am about two times a week when I have time. The door is always locked. I knock, someone looks up and continues what they are doing for several minutes, then opens the door with an annoyed, anything but warm greeting. This morning was particularly spectacular when the employee came to open the door with her cell phone in her hand, looking at the time (It was at least 6:05). Through all of her frustration, she was able to mumble, "mornin'" as if she was doing me a favor for letting me in - 10 minutes after their opening time. As I walk in, they are engaged in conversation about her boyfriend talking to another girl, then about various other employees and how they request too much time off, especially Saturdays (I guess that's where their frustration came from, because they felt someone else should have been working?) I understand working early in the morning can be frustrating, hence why I am camped out outside of a Starbucks fiending for espresso, but I cannot understand the pure attitude and anger all of these people feel, every single morning I am here. If I knew my store opened at 6, and I was busy, I'd probably unlock the door at 5:55, not have the mentality of keeping it locked as long as possible to make people suffer! It is 20 degrees outside. My advice to anyone that works at this Starbucks is if you hate your job then find a new one. Don't treat the people you were hired to serve poorly, they have done nothing to you. You treated me poorly before I even had a chance to order my quad extra hot soy caramel macchiato extra caramel extra whipped cream extra calorie yada yada ya blah blah blah.

This is a fairly typical Starbucks, except you pay for parking and there is rarely a seat available. There is outdoor seating when the weather is nice, and the people watching is exceptional. I usually walk a few extra blocks to Kefa, Zed's, or Kaldi's, which have better coffee and give me the satisfaction of supporting local businesses.

I like this Starbucks because they are always pretty quick, even when full to capacity. Drinks are always made accurately and I usually walk out pleased. Only downfall is it's pretty small so when the line is long, it gets very awkward because if you are sitting in the end by the counter you will be stood on. Also, there is not very much seating in this Starbucks, and when it's cold - sitting outside is not appealing.

Almost always packed with long lines. A great place to grab your coffee on the go but not the best place to do some quiet reading, studying, or work. I would check out Zed's instead if you're looking for a coffee shop with some space and serenity.

This particular Starbucks gets a lot of traffic, especially on the weekends. I must say though, every time I have been the staff has been nothing less than pleasant. I popped in for my FREE birthday drink and got myself a Grande pumpkin latte (that's a medium for the out-of-the-lingo-loop like me). I could of requested a Venti (large), but do I really need that much coffee on a Saturday afternoon? You need to register your Starbucks card online and give them your birthday to snag a free beverage like me. I thought the pumpkin latte was good, despite its artificial orange coloring. That was until I had Caribou's a few days later. Sorry Starbucks. But, I still love your Caramel Macchiato. And on a cold winter day... I may make it a Venti.

The morning staff at this Starbucks are singlehandedly the only reason I make it through the day. They are quick, efficient, and friendly; everything I look for in my baristas. They make sure to treat each customer with the same love and devotion. Thank god for this place!

Just didn't impress me. Given, I dislike coffee. So its not like I went there to drink some, the person I was with wanted to. I got myself a $2 bottle of water instead. But thats just Starbucks for you. The big problem was there was no space to have a seat and chat with my friend. That is what a coffee shop is about. Its simply a bit too crowded, at least if its wet outside. I suppose were it a nice day out it would not be too bad. But I calls em like I sees em. Could be better. Also.... eww, Starbucks? Seriously you are looking up reviews on a Starbucks? They are all the same and you know it. (Don't point out that *I* am reviewing a Starbucks, it makes me seem a hypocrite.)

I'm going to rate this location high simply due to convenience. It's located just steps away from my location and is right downtown. It's also nice that it's among various places to shop, eat and even the theatre. Some Pros: Location (duh!). Good service. Great coffee's and tea's. Awesome and friendly staff. Some Cons: Because of location, there's usually a line. It's rather small so it's not somewhere I'd want to relax. It's also located right across the street from a Boarders that has a nice seating area, so it's a little less inciting to sit and drink coffee there.

Always seems to be crowded in here. But, I manage to snag a table somehow and the line moves fast! The baristas are sweet & curtesy h20 avail 2 keep you hydrated. Enjoy!

I am a proud regular here, as I work across the street, and most of the morning staff know my drink order by now. They are quick, and this is important since they are always packed. For some reason it is always super humid inside this store. My drinks taste pretty consistent, and the few times they've been incorrect, they remake it immediately. My only complaint is that I wish they had more seating inside and out.
