Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

The wings were scrawny, anemic and stringy. Absolutely disgusting. They were drowned in nasty sauce. If you're going to do this bad a job at anything, better to not do it at all. Why choose to suck? I ordered Ginger Ale and they sent crappy Sierra Mist (why do they even still make that swill). The Pizza at least was edible, but just mediocre, and the delivery time was fine. I'll stick with Angelicos from now on. Not worth saving $4.

I don't know why this rating is so low. Perhaps reviewers are punishing this Pizza Boli's for the misdeeds of other Pizza Bolies, which can be grievous. This particular location is the best of them all, and my favorite pizza in the area.

I have ordered from them a number of times and today's order was no different. I ordered a Chz stk sub w everything no tomatoes, fries, and a tea. The gentleman said its $9 and not enough for a delivery so did I want to add another tea. I was like sure. I did not receive my fries and actually had to argue about the fact that I ordered them instead of them assuring I get my fries. Why would I lie about fries? I am offended and will not be ordering from them again.

By far the worst experience I've had ordering food! I placed a delivery to my hotel in Silver Spring, this was my worst first and last order from this place, First, I had to go outside of the hotel to get the delivery, the food was really bad, my cheese steak sandwich was cold and soggy, the carrot cake was frozen, the guy over the phone was very rude and I didn't get my receipt for the food I ordered.

Had pizza delivered for a lunch meeting. We ordered 3 xtra large pizzas; reasonably priced, delivered on time, the pizza was warm and tasted good. Pizza dough was moist not over cooked, sauce was had a good flavor...definitely a good experience for delivery. Will definitely buy from again.

As far as chain pizza places go, this is my favorite. The location of this store is a bit shady, but the owner is very sweet and hard-working. They always have a pick-up special (no coupon required) A large 2-topping is $6.99. Try it with feta and spinach. Yum!

I'm giving Pizza Boli's four stars now. We had a misunderstanding in the past, but I've been way over it. I continued to order from Pizza Boli's at least once a month before I left DC. They delivered my pizza within good time and it was consistently good. Maybe I'm just a sap now because I miss thin crust pizza out here in Chicagoland and I refuse to submit to the callings of Papa Domino's Pizza Hut.

Pizza Boli's isn't the best Pizza in the world, but it's satisfying given the reasonable price. If I had a choice, I'd order Papa John's or Domino's, but when I'm low on cash, Pizza Boli's provides a nice, slightly cheaper alternative. I don't know how quickly they'd deliver it to someone outside of the Shepherd Park neighborhood because I live there myself. All I know is that they get to my house on time (but you'd expect that from a pizza place being a few blocks away from you). I never thought of the store as being that shady, it's just a little cramped and looks like it needs a touch-up. OK, maybe that constitutes as shady. You see, when you're a teenage male (when I used to go here), things don't seem as shady, but I guess I can see how Libby F. might be taken aback by the unflattering decor. At least the pizza doesn't match the lack of aesthetics. For a cheap place that straddles the DC/MD border, Pizza Boli's is alright in my book. P.S. Me and my buddies used to go here and order medium pizzas and eat the whole thing in about 10 minutes. Ahhh, those were the days.

It's difficult to find delivery to the Walter Reed area that I'll deign to eat. Papa John's doesn't even cover me - I've tried to call them twice. Pizza Movers is local and quick, but I hate myself for paying for it. Pizza Boli's: deliverable, cheap, edible. It's almost in a class by itself.

  • Eleanor M.

I've started using this branch of Boli's because the Hyattsville one was so incompetent, but unfortunately this location has a really bad cook. He or she makes a flat, leaden crust covered in cornmeal (not a little, a LOT), and is very skimpy on the cheese, even when ordered extra. What to do? Keep patronizing this one and be assured of getting the order right, or go back to the other one and get correct crust and cheese, but terrible service?

  • Brenton W.

I'll bump these guys up a star as I've tried some other things on the menu. The cheese steak is nothing special but it's not gross. It is very user-friendly when customizing your preferences on your sandwich (you select what you want). I can try my best to customize it to a "Philly" cheese steak to the best of my ability. Does it taste as good as one? No. Can I order it with ease and not have a bunch of stuff on it, so it doesn't even resemble a cheese steak anymore? Yes. Was that a awfully, structured sentence? Yes. In a nut shell: Pizza Boli's is a solid option if you are watching the game or having people over, want pub-style food, and don't want to pay an arm and a leg in price. Wish they'd get rid of the delivery charge, though. It's kind of cheap on their part. If you're going to keep the delivery charge, then don't make my subtotal equate to $10 or more.

this is our go to pizza spot. They serve really good pizza and the price is really fair. The guys that work there are super nice as well. If you need a quick slice, this place would serve you well.

I literally just ate the perfect pizza. Pie was bomb. Been going here for years. Workers are always resonably nice, place is clean, good price. I have never been more in love with a corner franchise.

Seriously the worst customer service. I tried to be reasonable since it's horrible weather but they were horrible. I waited over an hour for my pizza after they told me 45mins. I call and ask if my pizza has gone out, they check say yes and hang up. I call 20mins later when still no pizza had arrive and they say oh our driver said he called you and got no answer. I said my phone hasn't received a call does he have the right number. Man on the phone checks, I hear him put the phone down and whisper to someone oh I put the wrong number he then grabs the phone not explaining he did wrong and says going to call my driver I will call you back. 10mins later no call back I call again and say cancel my order this is ridiculous it's been over an hour and a half. The guy says what's your address, checks and says oh sorry and hangs up. No attempt to make it right. Literally said sorry and hung up on me!!! This was my first time ordering with them too. Never again!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
