Not sure whats going on...I've never had a problem with this place before and their food is good but today my daughter and I got really sick from the food. Not good. We ordered the seasame chicken so beware.

It's good food for good price and they are very fast! Right in 30 min they are at your door and food is always warm! We order from them once a week and we love it. Orders are huge! You can tell that they are trying their best for their business!

We decided to give Panda Wok a try based on the Yelp reviews, and I'm so happy we did. We've ordered a few times from them, each through their online ordering system. through their website. Ordering online comes with a small delivery fee, but for the ease of ordering it can't be beat. Thumbs up! We really appreciate the variety of the menu, and the fact that we can get both vegan and meaty fare. Their online system also allows us to specify the level of spiciness as well as whether we want brown rice instead of white rice, which is a plus for us. They tend to go easy on the spice, so after our first time we just order extra spicy on all spicy dishes. As other reviewers have noticed, the portions are large, so plan on leftovers and don't go hog wild when you order because you'll be swimming in food. Delivery has been prompt and on-time each time, and--again because we could note this in the online ordering system (have I mentioned that I love the online ordering system?)--they were perfectly patient and understanding of the time it took us to secure our dogs (who treat every delivery as a potential home invasion by communist flesh-eating zombies out to get me). Great find. Thanks, Yelpers!

Five stars not because the food is Excellent, but because it is a truly excellent value (and solidly very good food at that.) Big servings, low prices, quick service. As a vegan Chinese restaurants can be hit or miss for me, but Panda Wok has at least a dozen options, including TVP, which I love in chinese food. Parking and traffic is kind of annoying, since they're located down a side street that looks like it used to be an alley and now could totally use a traffic light. But whatever, totally worth it.

This place is an excellent find. The food is always great, delivery is fast and friendly and you can't beat the prices. We love the pan fried dumplings and General Tsao's. The TVP dishes are ok, but being spoiled by Cafe Harmony in Georgetown, did not blow me away. Only one minor complaint - The beef and broccoli, while delicious, is just drowning in broccoli and very few piece of actual beef.

We have tried basically every Chinese place in the area (and Arlington) and this is the best for sure. Good crab rangoon, combos including fried rice and the lo mein and sesame chicken are tasty. Everything we're looking for in delivery Chinese!

Agh, let me be clear that their service is phenomenal and they have great speedy delivery, but there's always something off about their food. I grew up in restaurants so I am pretty pretentious about (American) Chinese food but what I got last night warrants a bit of whining. Their crab rangoon is folded in this atrocious way that does not have the corners. I already hate it when places simply fold it in half, but what I got was an abomination (think of the origami base where your four corners are folded into the center and all the edges are pleated together ie: this danish lh6.googleusercontent.co… ). No, no, no, no! Even Panda Express has got this down, WHY WOULD YOU FOLD IT THIS WAY?? The whole reason why ANYONE likes crab rangoon is because there's this great textural contrast of crispy pointy corners with a chewy center with cheese. People who enjoy this dish like to pull on the corners and split it in half to maximize the experience. You don't get ANY corners to chew on but just this mushy bag of cheese. No bueno!!! It's not like this fold is any EASIER than making the corners, so other than avoiding broken corners when shoved in a freezer this is an incredibly inferior fold. And the wings are really bland and greasy for some reason, it's totally underseasoned and has this gristly-ness that is unpleasant. I don't know if it's undercooking but eating /other/ chinese wings there is 100% less gnawing action going on. And no mumbo sauce, omgggg...! This has got to be one of the few chinese restaurants in the DMV that doesn't serve mumbo sauce with their wings. I got a little container of generic BBQ sauce, who eats chinese wings with BBQ sauce? Even ketchup would have been a better option! And I tend to like hot and sour because it's relatively flavorful but their is bland as heck too. There's too little soy sauce and vinegar in it and I think it's the bamboo shoots but there's some type of vegetation in here that is a little too fibrous. I just feel like overall they are really unaware of what they're serving and do not understand what people like about certain dishes and give everything "their best shot" without appreciating it. They are not the worst by far, but boy was that crab rangoon disappointing.

I just needed something quick and cheap today, so based on Yelp reviews, I decided to give this local takeout joint a try. Quick it was not. That was not because of incompetence but rather, popularity. There were quite a few takeout orders (mostly phoned in) stacked up ahead of mine so I just had to sit there and wait. But popularity is always a good sign and a confidence-builder, so I began to suspect ordering from here might not have been a bad idea. The place is tiny and mainly for takeout. Not too cool inside today (late August). And I will bet it is freezing in the winter. I can't imagine the circumstances under which I would actually grab a stool at their little counter by the window and consume there, but I suppose one never knows. I like to keep it simple on the first date, so I stayed with a vegetarian option. I went with the Hunan Tofu, which was a plentiful portion. Ingredients were very fresh and it was tasty, if not mind-blowing. Next time I will get a little more adventurous. I have my eye on the basil rice with shrimp and chicken. I think I trust them enough to order shrimp there. I think... Aside from a bounteous and cheap Chinese menu, they also offer wings, sweet potato fries and even fried plantains. Normally I am not a fan of "please the world" menus but I guess it works for them here. I really like that you can see the kitchen from the counter where you order the food. The only negative (and it isn't much of one) is that they sneaked some zucchini into my stir fry. Fo' real? Since when is zucchini a Chinese vegetable? Icky baby corn I can handle and expect. (They did not disappoint and I picked out every last piece.) But zucchini? What an affront. They won't catch me out again! :)

I don't usually write reviews because I feel like most of the reviews are similar to my experience. However on this occasion I feel compelled to write a review because of the horrible experience I have had. I ordered delivery. 2 soups, Szechuan chicken, crab Rangoon. And I live like 3-4 mins from this place. It took 1hr and 30mins for the food to be delivered. I called after 1 hour, she said a couple more minutes. "They were very busy". I thought that maybe the food would be worth it but no such luck. The sweet and sour soup and the chicken corn soup lacked salt and flavor. The crab Rangoon was cold because of the length of time it took for my food to get here. The Szechuan chicken was more like Szechuan vegetables with few pieces of chicken for garnish. First and last time ordering from this place. Definitely not worth it guys!!!

Panda Wok does me right!!!!!!!!!!! Shrimp is de-veined. Dumplings don't have a nasty consistency. Fried wontons actually resemble wontons, and their general tsos chicken actually is crispy when you receive it.

I love this place, as a vegetarian, it's usually pretty annoying to find good Chinese food unless I'm going to like PF Changs or something, but they make it work here. They even have fake meat! It's great, makes me happy. My favorite is GVP General Tsao's Tofu w/Egg Drop soup, Fried Rice and Pan Fried Veg. Dumplings. The portions are huge though, so I wouldn't recommend that for just you. In addition, the food's never too greasy, no MSG, it's quick, it's cheap (lunch is literally like $5!), and the people who work there are always really nice. They lose a star in my book though because I'm not a fan of the egg rolls, also because they won't deliver to my house.

L.p.This Restaurant has the most tastiest Singapore noodles. Its very delicious. Its cook perfect. When you call to place an order the woman that answers the phone is very pleasant. She speaks very good English. She's very helpful. Ive had a few other dishes there are all very delicious. My only regret is that they dont deliver. I would recommend this restaurant very highly. I hope some day they would consider delivering I think it would be very good for business. I stand corrected. They do deliver. Just not where I live. My apologies. Excellent Food.

Affordable and consistently good. Great, fast delivery. We especially love the beef dishes. Don't let the storefront scare you aware. The food is always really good!

It's a solid 2.5 stars. This is the first time I tried Panda Wok, as I didn't feel like picking up from my usual place (no delivery - boo!) and the other delivery place had a disconnected phone (I wonder if it's still open). But anyhow... I ordered mu shu, crab Rangoon, Szechwan beef, and steamed veggie dumplings. I also had a coupon for a free chicken lo mein. The crab Rangoon were fried very nicely, with a crisp golden outside. The cream cheese filling was kind of bland, and the sweet and sour sauce it comes with was kind of gloopy. The mu shu was plentiful but not terribly flavorful. It wasn't bad, just way better once I added hoisin sauce. I didn't try the other two dishes (my roommate) but they looked good, with some fresh-looking veggies. I tried a quick forkful of the chicken lo mein, which again was not terribly flavorful but not bad. I might order from there again if I'm feeling exceptionally lazy, but between the lack of super tastiness and the fact that I was overcharged by about five bucks (not gonna fight over that), I don't think it's going to be a regular go-to.

My go to Chinese place. I have never eaten inside. I always order delivery. I think what sets this place apart from others is when you order general tsao chicken you can choose of you'd like white or dark meat. I prefer dark. There's something flavorful and juicy about the fat.. it's where it's at kids.

Hungry after a night of drinking. Panda Wok was still open, so we took the extra train stop to get to it. Hidden on a side street near the corner of Georgia and University...you have to look for it! Though we were not impressed with our first DMC Chinese experience at another place at all, Panda Wok made up for it. Great food. We followed up with delivery a week or so later and again, great grub. Good to know we have reliable Chinese food in the neighborhood that doesn't taste like styrofoam (are you listening, Brothers?)

Delightful food, tried for the first time and love it! Big jumbo shrimps, rice excellent and the triple delight awesome, I'm not a fan of Chinese food but it was great, fast delivery

We order from here all the time. They are super fast. Portions make for a couple of meals. I always get the red curry chicken, which I love. High quality chicken is used, not the kind w/ gristle-y bits. One time I got kung pao which was kind of lame because it was half celery. The red curry has never disappointed, however.

Perfectly ... adequate. If I could, I'd give it 2 and a half stars. We've been trying the various Wheaton and Silver Spring delivery Chinese-American places ever since we moved here a year ago. This was our latest try, and it was unremarkable, but decent. We'll keep trying to find better, but I'd probably be willing to order from Panda Wok again. Online ordering was fast, easy, and allowed for significant customization, and delivery was reasonably fast ... about 35 or 40 minutes. Most dishes are offered in a small or large portion, which is a plus. Portion sizes were quite large, and prices are quite reasonable. Food quality, overall, was passable. The egg rolls were large and crispy and not excessively greasy, if a little bland -- though they only gave us one packet of mustard, which was irritating. Won ton soup was oddly flavored and the won tons were a bit doughy and chewy, but not the worst I've had. The hot and sour soup was sadly neither hot nor sour, but wasn't dreadful. Chicken with Chinese vegetables was bland but inoffensive. The sesame chicken had a nicely crisp coating, but the sauce was a little on the gooey side and lacked the tart bite that really good sesame chicken can have. Nothing was great, nothing was awful. If I order from them again, I'd likely try different things in hopes of finding things they do a little better with.

We've tried a lot of Chinese places in the area and this is definitely the best so far. Soups are large for their price, fried rice is very delicious, and the fried meat dumplings are very good.

We were looking for a change from our usual Chinese delivery place and, based on Yelp reviews, we tried Panda Wok. We were delighted that we did! Let's get the negative out of the way first ... while most people have commented on the super-speedy delivery, I have to say that I found it to be on the slower side. We placed our order online at 5:30 on a Saturday evening and then called at 6:15 when our food had not yet been delivered. They were short on drivers, apparently. We had our food within an hour and when it arrived, it was still quite hot. The slower delivery was made up for in spades by the deliciousness of the food though!!! We ordered Spring Rolls, Shrimp with Broccoli, and the General Tso's Combo platter. While the Shrimp with Broccoli was VERY short on Shrimp (we got the small for $6.25 and the order only had 8 shrimp in it), the shrimp were on the bigger side and were actually deveined! The broccoli tasted like it was fresh, not frozen, and the brown sauce was delicious. The Spring Rolls were also good, with more of a crispy and flaky outside than I usually receive around these parts. And the General Tso's was actually CRISPY. I've never, ever had crispy General Tso's before. It was awesome. The Pork Fried Rice that came with the General Tso's was really good too, with plenty of pork in it. The portions are very generous (we have tons of leftovers) and I can't believe how cheap this place is. This food actually tastes like someone makes it, not like it's frozen and heated up prior to delivery. I'm amazed and super excited. Coupled with the ease of their online ordering system - you can select your level of spicy-ness for EVERYTHING you order, and you can also add comments for each part of your order - you just can't get better than this. Panda Wok is going to be our new go-to for Chinese Delivery.

This place not be a sit down table service Chinese food restaurant, but the food is amazing. Great portions of everything, and the price couldn't be better or I'd think something was up. A little story: Last night I had a hankering for Chinese and called this place up based on their yelp reviews. They sadly didn't deliver to my home, but stayed open 20 minutes past closing so that I could get there and pick up my order. These guys know business!

Finally. Good delivery chinese. Good prices. Good service. If you live in the Wheaton area and have been stuck with Kenny's sub shop (bleh) for too long, give Panda Wok a shot. I'm always impressed with their delivery speed, and the prices are always good. And the food is always really tasty. It's not overly greasy, it's not slapped together without a care. It's really good. I'd recommend the Hunan Bean Curd if you like that sort of thing. The menu is quite lengthy, and everything I've ordered from them was very, very tasty.

This is probably the best place to get cheap Chinese American food around here. I love their general tso's chicken, it's the best I ever has. Their delivery is also great.

This place definitely gets my thumbs up. Speedy delivery. The food was still HOT!! when i got it which is very important to me. I had the Beef and Broccoli with garlic sauce combination platter which was delicious. couldn't finish it because it was so much food A must try for anybody that loves Chinese.

My boyfriend and I love ordering late night delivery from here. First of all, the food arrives in a timely manner, we have never had to wait any longer than the receptionist told us on the phone. Second the food arrives HOT, I actually had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down before eating it which is great, because more often than not delivery places deliver luke warm food. Third, the prices are fantastic. Their combos meal are an excellent value, and so is everything else on the menu (and they have a very extensive menu). Fourth, YUM. The food is fresh and flavorful, never to greasy, burnt, etc. I have been more than satisfied with everything I have ordered from here. Im not saying its the most refined chinese food on the plant, but its good and more than gets the job done. All in all, this is a great little place. If your in the wheaton/silver spring area and craving some late night (or early night) chinese food, this is the place you want to go to.

One star..... Kung Pao has way too much celery, fried rice has unusual veggies like corn, not much flavor.

I ate from here before & the food was quite good. I ordered from them again through Fooodler, and as always, through Foodler it was an hour before delivery. I live maybe 2 miles from Panda Wok and their making Chinese food [General Tso'a Chicken & egg rolls] so after 1 hour 15 minutes I called there and was told 'Oh! The drivers on his way. We're soo busy!' I knew the driver wasn't and I live too close from them to take over an hour to make a delivery. I called right back and cancelled my order. Now, I literally live close enough that if a driver was on his way I would've seen him before any order cancellation went through, yet I never did. I guess they are fine with losing a customer.

They have coconut shrimp! One of the few places that I have been able to find such a delicious dish. Getting here is kinda tricky because of not being able to turn at various places on Georgia and University, but I think it's worth the hassle just for coconut shrimp! Hmmm...maybe they deliver to our house?

This place is the best Chinese delivery in Wheaton hands down. Huge portions (enough for a second meal for almost anyone) that hold up well the next day. They are super fast on the delivery and two people can eat well for less than $20! They lose a star for their egg rolls, they're so-so.

We've tried just about every Chinese delivery place near Wheaton - this one is head and shoulders above the rest. We love their combo meals, which come with really good pork fried rice and an egg roll. There's enough food in a combo meal to split between two people if you add soup and/or an appetizer. Great prices. Oh, and delivery is super fast.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
