Mike and Barry’s Deli Menu

No frills sandwich place. Although my sub was good, I think it was prepared using the microwave. There was no sizzle from the grill and the owner/workers should really use gloves when prepping the food.

Yay! I get to be lucky number 20 to review this wonderful business!!!!!!! My co-worker and I have been looking for a real AUTHENTIC deli that makes nice meaty sandwiches for what seems like forever. Mike and Barry have ended that search! On top of being super friendly and attentive at 9 am, they made me the best turkey and provolone sandwich I have had in a really long time! The soft round roll is to die for and unbelievably fresh. My turkey was sliced thin and piled high on top of fresh cheese, tomato and lettuce. Did I mention I got all of this for the low low price of about $7! (Sandwich only) I could go on and on about this wonderful gem tucked in the side of building 12510 Prosperity Drive. All I can say is YOU HAVE TO TRY THEM!

Basic deli. Friendly. Got a turkey sandwich on toasted rye and it was very good. Many options of breads, meats, etc. Briefly scanned the menu and they have a good assortment of items. Fridge stocked with drinks, various chips, fruit bars, nuts for sale on the counter. Would go against. Not the easiest to find between buildings at business park.

This deli is on the side of an office building. It is a small eatery with a couple of tables. It was surprisingly busy during lunch. The staff was very friendly & welcoming. I got a chicken steak and cheese hot sub that was good but nothing extraordinary. A good local eat but would not go out of my way to eat here.

We stopped by for lunch after a quick run to Home Depot.. It was our first time and were greeted by the two gentlemen (assuming they are mike and Barry). I ordered the Reuben because of all the reviews about it. My bf ordered the pastrami and corned beef. They came out to about 15$. We both enjoyed the Reuben. The bread wasn't greasy or soaked. The pastrami was tender and really flavorful. It was the perfect amount of sauce, cheese, sauerkraut, and meat. My bf's corned beef and pastrami was pretty good too but I'm not a fan of corned beef. His had sauce, cheese, and coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. We had each sandwich made by different ppl.. And you can tell they make them a tad differently but still good. I had this yesterday and I want another one today! Ah!

I love their chicken salad with provolone (either on a soft roll or on a lightly toasted plain bagel). Mike and Barry are very courteous! The level of customer service is that of a small, family-owned business. They moved from the Briggs Chaney shopping center some years back. I thought they went out of business, until a friend of mine told me that they were around the corner on Prosperity! I was ecstatic! **Also, their chocolate chip banana muffin, is to die for!!**

I was thrilled to find these guys again. They used to own the Briggs Chaney Deli. I had eaten there pretty regularly, and they had made us some great deli trays for parties at our place, and I really missed them when they were gone. This new place is in the strangest location, however. It is near the similarly strangely located Home Depot off the Cherry Hill road exit off Rt. 29. Tucked away on the bottom floor of an office building, I imagine most of their business is serving those offices, and probably the auto park salespeople nearby. I asked them what I should order when I got there (which I often do in a new place). "The chicken salad and the tuna salad we make ourselves, they are pretty popular". And rightfully so. The chicken was true chopped chicken. Not too chunky, not pressed meat, not too salty, not too mayonnaise-y. We ordered one of each, and both were fantastic. Good sturdy pickle on the side. The kaiser roll was pretty ordinary, but the rye bread was unusual, thick sliced, not too strong a caraway flavor to overpower. Toasted bread, of course. Drawbacks: weird location, no atmosphere, generic lunch spot setup, only open breakfast and lunch. But I believe the food itself is the important thing, so they still deserve those 5 stars. I'll be back again for sure.

Place is tough to find, tucked in on the back side of an office building. Definitely worth the extra 10 minutes it took me to find the place. Standard deli fare but done very well and as many other yelpers have said, they are super nice. Price is definitely good for the quality of the product. This will certainly find its way into my lunch rotation

Ok let me make this as clear as possible. I am from Philly and I am also a professional chef. .. this is, by far the last place you will EVER by a cheese stake from again. Every other cheese stake will taste like a cardboard sandwich with ketchup after you eat here! It's so serious, I'm writing this review at 7 am wishing they were open so I can have it for breakfest. There sandwich is like Crack for your tongue! It's a small little shop ran by two awesome people that put a lot of love in each meal. If you listen to no other review, go to this deli grab a couple subs and good luck with getting your tongue to commit to rehab. Lol enjoy

We stopped in here this morning around 7am after dropping off a car at DarCars for a quick breakfast to go. This place is not hard to find at all - just head right as you enter the parking lot from Prosperity Drive and drive around to the back of the building. It's the only deli. It was only $8 or so for two breakfast egg sandwiches and an orange juice! Food was hot and fresh and service was excellent - which was a stark contrast from our usual experience at DarCars (the worst service ever). We will return!

After getting my car serviced at DARCARS VW I decided to go across the road to Mike & Barry's Deli since I hVe had them bookmarked for months. I ordered 2 Italian subs to go and the guy at the register was very friendly and polite. I am rating the sub 3 stars and the fourth star is because the guy was friendly. It's not the best Italian sub that I have had but it's not the worst either. The price was great also, only 4.99 for a 8" !!

GREAT FOOD been going there for years if your driving buy stop buy and get something you will not be sorry. It's in the first floor of the office building stop in and say hello. Like I said you won't be sorry.

This place has awesome sandwhiches, way better than the ghetto deli that is slightly closer to my work. The Ivan I first had was delicious, fresh bread, high quality meats, heated up, and the subs are giant. Good luck eating it all, I split my most recent Italian sub among two days. This was also quite good. And the service is friendly to boot! I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Food is great. They have catered our meetings for the past year. They were on time, great presentation, and food was fresh.

i loved these guys when they used to be at the briggs chaney shopping center. I was sad when i found out they sold the place. But I'm happy to say the new location still offers the same great sandwiches. My favorite sandwich is 'The Mile High' . Great food, great owners, and great prices.

Why didn't i know about this place earlier.. weird that they put bologna on an italian sub but mike & barry's is the real deal. The only good bagels around.

Fantastic food. Friendly as can be. A little hard to find, but well worth it... The corned beef is excellent - sliced just how it should be and full of flavor. My favorite is the mile high club - I add mustard, cheese and onions to my order to diversify the palate a little more, but even the stock sandwich is excellent.

The best hidden gem in Silver Spring. My co-worker and I go here all the time for REUBENS! I have not found a reuben as delicious ANYWHERE else, ever. Laid-back and outgoing people behind the counter- very friendly. The only complaint I have is that they have limited weekend hours! Perfect place for lunch- good selection and prices are fair. The Ivan is also wonderful, but I can't stop ordering the reuben. Do something nice for yourself today and try it!

My wife and I were out running errands, and decided to try out this deli. I ordered a Reuban sandwich, and my wife had a Ham Club. Both sandwiches were great!! I informed them, that I've found my new deli.

I like the place..Barry is real nice! It did take them 3 times to get one egg sandwich right though. I feel if they listened a little better on the phone, they would have got it the first time. Went back a second time to tell them what was missing on the sandwich..made it wrong again and on a bagel instead of toast. When you ask for fried onions on ur sandwich..they are not really fried so ask them to brown them up if you like them the steak and cheese way. Other than that Ive heard they have awesome sandwiches..Ive only had their egg and cheese sandwiches...which are bland but good for the price. They kinda just make the egg the same way everytime on the sandwiches..whether you ask for it cooked real hard or not so hard. Overall I would eat here again because I always do for breakfast since I work across the street..my co-worker on the other hand was not too impressed by them. I would go for the meat sandwiches..thats where all the rant and rave is at!

Best deli spot around. Awesome sandwiches, excellent portions and friendly staff. Great place to stop and get a fresh and warm lunch. Its kind of hidden so if you are not looking you will drive by and never know this little gem was there. so directions to this place is simple...if you stand out front you see to big commercial office buildings. the deli is on the left one. easy way in is to drive around to the back side and park before you get to the dumpster, dont worry plenty of parking in the back. walk in between the building and on Mike & Berry's in on your right hand, bottom floor of course so just walk right in and enjoy .. did i mention this guys make a killer Reuben. :)
