Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Was recommended that I stop here for the chicken wings. I was curious and came by.... There's nothing particularly special about the store front. Inside, the place was empty of customers, except for myself. A faded menu board suggested more went on here at another time. Nice, wood-coated tables were in the rather spacious and empty dining area. The woman who took my order was nice and I heard activity in the background as I reviewed the modest menu. I chose four wings with fried rice. At $6+ it seems a bit much but I had come this far, there was no turning back! So I sat and waited and waited what seemed like a long time. Luckily there was a surprisingly stong wi-fi connection. When I got my order, it was still hot. It was fresh! I went outside, sat in the Discovery Channel's park and ate the wings and rice and you know what? They were very good! There was something to this I guess. Four whole wings that were fried just right and enough rice to be filling. I can't say that there was anything particularly great about this order, it just tasted right. About as well done as you can do a simple order. So Four Stars. Simple Chinese food that was a better than expected.

I asked for a good Chinese Restaurant since the last 3 I tried were just awful at best... Mandarin delivered.. steamed dumplings with dough rolled so thin they are translucent.. the sauce is light and not syrupy with just a touch of heat... I just started and can't want to try they rest of what I ordered but if everything is cooked this well I will be ordering from there often!

Delivery took 1hr 20mins to get to me & was very mediocre. They gave me a ginger ale instead of the coke I ordered & when I told the delivery guy, he said they were all out for the night, like it was okaybto replace my drink without asking. Not very happy :(

First time ordering delivery. Got crispy beef, general tso's wings, szechuan string beans, and spare rib tips. Rib tip entree came with a side of fries, they were your basic crinkly fries, kind of cold. Crispy beef and szechuan string beans were not very good. Crispy beef was soggy and too sweet. String beans were bitter and undercooked. Rib tips were pretty good but with a lot of bone and cartilage. Wings were really good, not big but tasty. Delivery took about 35 minutes, not bad. Would try again to test other items.

Best crab rangoons in the area. They're pretty solid overall, nothing mind-blowing mind you, just consistently yummy. Never dined in so I can't comment on that end. Worth trying if you're curious!

I ordered their eggplant with garlic sauce and asked them to add broccoli and tofu. It was great to have the choice of brown rice. It is such a large portion that I enjoy it for two meals! Delicious! Fast delivery.

First time ordering from here and they are gonna be my new go to for chinese delivery. The quality of food delivered for the price is definitely on par with the best local carryouts like spring garden. Delivery on a saturday evening 2mi away came in 28 min and the food was still steaming hot. I got the general tsos chicken combo that came with pork fried rice which is a plus. Also got small steamed broccoli that was fresh, of good quality and good portion. As bonus the broccoli came with steamed rice and a brown dipping sauce. Onto the tsos, which was very tasty and tender, was some of the best I've had. Also got spring rolls and the egg roll that came with the combo. The rolls weren't greasy at all; with flaky, thin breading and good filling - just more good stuff. To top it off their house half & half iced tea wasn't overly sugary unlike some other places' near maple syrup for tea. I thank the ownership and staff for a great meal.

Maybe I've just gotten lucky every time, but I've been consistently pleased with every Mandarin Restaurant order. Vegetable lo mein has fresh veggies and is not too greasy. The white rice is not over- or under-cooked. General tso and orange chicken are quite good as well. Eggplant in garlic sauce approximates authentic Chinese food. The online ordering on their website is easy to use and you can add special instructions to any dish.

Inedible trash that I literally wouldn't feed to my dog. LITERALLY-- I threw it out rather than risk making my dog sick.

We needed something that was fast to eat before we went out. This place also delivered to our hotel. It wasn't bad, but I have had better chinese. I got the chicken fried rice, which is pretty basic, however this place did not "wow" me. If you need something quick and/or delivered, I do recommend this place.

Two and a half stars. Ordered from here tonight, in our ongoing but thus far fruitless quest to find decent Chinese delivery in the south four corners area. Mandarin was better than most that we've tried around here, but not nearly as good as several places near our old apartment. Online ordering was relatively easy and the food arrived in about 40 minutes, which seemed adequate. The menu is predictable, with nothing exotic (no duck, no fish), and it includes some American fare (fried seafood, subs, and wings). Prices are moderate, and most offerings come in a large or small size. The food itself was mixed. The egg rolls were pretty good ... not amazing, but I've had far worse. My dragon-and-phoenix (General Tso's chicken and shrimp with mixed vegetables) was really pretty good -- the shrimp was especially well prepared, tender and delicate. The General Tso's was OK, though a tiny bit tough and not as spicy as requested. The broccoli in brown sauce was dry and needed much more sauce. The chicken fried rice was decently flavored but the chicken seemed unusually greasy. Won ton soup seemed a bit bland, and the won tons therein were slightly tough. Overall, nothing was inedible (and after a few of the places we've tried around here, that's no small statement!), and nothing was fantastic. No fortune cookies were sent with our order ... I don't know if that was an error or if they just don't provide them. Overall ... Mandarin is as good as any delivery Chinese we've found around here, but I'm still hoping to find better. They stay open pretty late by suburb standards, and that's a plus.

Mandarin is adequate for a late night meal. I got the Kung Pao chicken, which was moist and not spicy as requested. The pork fried rice had a few salty bites. Best part of the meal was the pair of veggie rolls. Meal arrived in less than thirty minutes. This is my go to Chinese delivery spot.

My only complaint is that the lemon chicken used to be a flat, sliced, bread crumb encrusted breast and is now the exact same as the sweet and sour chicken (no reason to pay the extra bucks). Other than that, everything I have had has been delicious. Delivery is super quick. Lunch buffet is cheap and tasty. Of all the Chinese spots in Downtown Silver Spring this is, in my opinion, the best.

Currently in Silver Spring fro training. I went here shortly after 11pm on a Friday night with a friend (apparently restaurants in downtown Silver Spring close at 11pm). The dining choices were limited, and the Quarry Tavern was surprisingly closed down. Next door we found this place, which was open until midnight. It's basically the same makeup as any Chinese Takeout place with a dining area. The dining area was quite larger than I expected, probably twice as large as the typical joint. I ordered the General Tso's chicken, and my friend ordered a vegetarian dish. We decided to dine in. The serving size was decently large, and the sauce wasn't overly tangy or salty. There was probably more breading vs. meat, but overall it made the chicken more crunchy. I actually didn't try my friend's dish, but he seemed pretty pleased with it. For both of our meals, it came to $20-30. My friend was a agentlemen Again, the setting is pretty basic, with little decor. There is a vending machine that holds selection of drinks for purchase, but we opted for water which they gladly provided free of charge. The personnel were nice and actually cleaned up our trays (probably as an indirect attempt to shoo us away as it was past midnight at this point, but I appreciate the additional service). I wouldn't mind coming here for a quick lunch or dinner if I'm back in town again.

This has been my go to Chinese restaurant for over 2 years. They have FAST and FREE delivery, which is a big deal in Silver Spring since most places use Takeout Taxi. They also have above average Chinese food offerings, which really stands out among the less than mediocre competition around Silver Spring. I have yet to come across anything on the menu that was not fresh and well prepared.

Food is consistently delivered hot fresh and tasty. Chicken with black bean sauce and veggie spring rolls are very good. Highly recommend for delivery!

I have lived in Silver Spring for 12 years and never had GOOD Chinese food here. In one last ditch attempt to find Chinese delivery that was actually ENJOYABLE instead of something to fill stomachs (I'm a Single Working Mom), I looked on yelp. Thank God for Sheena W's review this will be my go to for Chinese Delivery. Finally Fantastic Dumplings - Not doughy!. Fast delivery!

I am giving the restaurant 1 star only because there is not an option for no stars. I called and ordered a meal that was $8 and soup for $2.50. (On the menu it says $10 delivery minimum and you must live within a 3 mile radius. I live about half a mile away.) The woman on the other line told me the total would be $12.50. I asked her if she was certain this was the total and she said yes. I got off the phone but called right back because I was certain her math was wrong. When I called back, she, in an annoyed tone told me that $12.50 was the total she was coming up with so I asked what else she was charging me for. She then said $1 for delivery. I looked at the menu and it made no mention of a charge for delivery but it also did not state they wouldn't charge for delivery. It simply states 'we delivery (minimum $10.00, limited 3 miles)' yes, delivery... I then told her that even with a $1 delivery surcharge, the total still was not $12.50. She tells me to hang on and comes back and says ok, it's $12.30. I was annoyed by that point so I asked her to cancel my order. She says I already charged your card and I asked her to refund it. Then she tells me that the food is ready. About 2-3 minutes had gone by since I first called and placed the order... I asked her to cancel and told her that I did not want the food. She says OK, YOU WANT TO CANCEL. BYE! And hangs up. Wtf. Stay away from this place.
