Such a cute place! Run by a family. When I ordered take-out, the kids put in the order. Adorable! Yeah there is only one table, but who dines in at a chinese place? Food was good. I always order orange chicken so I can't speak for anything else. Also, it is about a mile from my house. When you live in the middle of nowhere, it's nice to find some decent chinese.

We've been ordering from Lin's at least 2 times a month for over a year, and we love it. There are definitely some things they do better than others, but if you're willing to give them several chances with different menu items, you are bound to find things you love. They are also VERY accommodating; every time we would try something new and would think, "This would be so good if not for x", we would get it again and ask them to leave out x, and they would. That's how we learned that their barbecued spareribs, mediocre if ordered straight, are fabulous without sauce, and their wonton soup, normally almost too salty to eat, is divine when made without soy sauce. They also have some of the best egg rolls anywhere, with no custom ordering required, and their house special Chow Mai Fun is also always a winner, with loads of chicken, pork and shrimp. They will also substitute brown rice upon request, unexpected from a "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant. So give them a chance! If you try them once and don't like them, try them again and order something completely different, and don't be afraid to make special requests, and they are bound to become one of YOUR favorite restaurants, too!

Only visited Lin's a couple of times, the first time I ordered lo mein which was good. Second visit I ordered chicken wings and rice (simple order), I'm no chef but I could tell they re fried the wings at least 1-2 times. The wings were a little chewy and had a weird yellow coloring to them .. yuck!

Great food. Great service. The woman at the front was so sweet and helpful. She greeted me with a smile and had my order ready andits was all correct. It was a long order for 6 people and its was done right. This is a new place that ill keep coming back too

The worst ever. They use spaghetti for their Lo Mein and accuse us of not knowing what real Lo Mein is. Everything we had, I have to say was pretty bad, except for the sweet and sour pork. It tastes like everwhere else. we tried the "fake me out lo mein, crispy beef, stir fries and soups." SAVE YOUR MONEY. Avoid this place. Their Crispy beef is very poorly made consistency. My husband, eats anything and finds everything to be ok. But even he was like ...uh this is very bad and the taste is awful. We tried it twice now. Once on purpose and the second by accident because we were new to the area and forgot that we have tried this place already. The minute we ate the food it all came back. I hope they get a new chef!The delivery guy was very nice though. Feel bad for him.

Decided to grab a few things from this place instead of our other go-to Chinese place. We picked up beef with garlic, shrimp with garlic, and lunch special of sesame chicken with fried rice. With the meal being over $20 we got a free can soda. It's just your run-of-the-mill take-out Chinese. The garlic entrees were okay but the sesame chicken had hints of ketchup - don't really recommend this dish. Friendly service, open every day, and run by a family!

We live nearby and it's our go-to carryout! They always great you with a smile, the kids are capable and adorable, and the food has never failed to satisfy!! Love them!

For the usual Chinese takeout joint, these guys are really perfect for my needs. I had pork with thin rice noodles, sesame chicken, and a few other things and it hit the spot for me. Delivery is rare in these parts. So I'm grateful for quality and ease. :)

Have only come here one but my experience was great. I called in my order ahead of time and the food was almost ready when I got there. Really sweet cashier. We all agreed we enjoyed the fact that the dishes came with a good amount of vegetables. I know we're paying for the meat but I like my Orange chicken to have more than one piece of broccoli. Their lomein was pretty good too. I wouldn't hesitate ordering from them again.

A while ago, as I drove by and was hungry, I stumbled on this restaurant (essentially, a carryout joint run by a husband and wife team with literally ONE table). It is rather out of the way in Cloverly (despite its Silver Spring address)...way up on New Hampshire Avenue above Randolph Road past that stretch where there are various houses of worship (a couple of churches, a Buddhist temple, and just north of the mosque). Since my first visit, I have been back on a handful of occasions over the past 2 years (usually, driving out of the way each time). The reason? It's the curry chicken. I happened to order it the first time I was there and was really impressed by it. While it features the usual filler vegetables like onions, green peppers, and carrot slivers, there was a fair amount of chicken too...wonderfully moist, shiny pieces of chicken in a creamy curry sauce that really showed some skill. A lot of Chinese restaurants "velvet" their chicken through various means (usually through flash frying after marinating the chicken in egg white, corn starch, etc.) Here, in this rather nondescript carryout joint, I was so shocked at how well they pulled if off and the results that they achieved! They really nailed it...While I have not ordered any other chicken dish there, I can imagine that the same velvety chicken probably shows up in other dishes as well. As for the other meats (like beef), it gets a bit dicey. Once, in an experimental mood, I ordered beef chow fun (something that you just don't do usually at a carryout shop in the middle of nowhere...especially, if the proprietors are not Cantonese). The beef was slightly battered (?), slightly fried (?), and did not look the part of the beef that you would normally find in beef chow fun. The chow fun itself was a bit clumpy and oily and was mixed in with some napa cabbage (or something resembling it). Clearly, this was not authentic beef chow fun. The end result was edible but nothing worthy of a second ordering on a future occasion. Overall, Lin's is a decent little carryout. It is family owned and run (like many such places). Each time that I visit, there is a little girl there running around as her mother minds the counter and her dad cooks in the back. There are hand written addendums to the menu posted on the walls (which gives the place a rather dull and dingy feeling in my opinion); and, its haphazard organization of chairs and cardboard boxes--juxtaposed next to a hulking soda case in the right of the storefront gives the place a distinctly casual...very casual feeling. The fact that the little girl may be watching TV in the waiting area or riding her bicycle just outside the store also gives the place "color" or warmth. Or, it could just be off-putting...who knows? If you close one eye, you could imagine being in a back alley hole-in-the wall in Xi'an.
