Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I have to agree with the one reviewer who said this place is ready for a good cleaning and overhaul. Dark, dismal interior. Our last encounter with Lombardi is when we order a pizza to go. A large four topping pizza, two meats and two veggies, came to almost $26. I wouldn't mind spending that kind of money if they had least put fresh mushrooms on the pie, but canned for $26? Shameful! Unless a pizza place is like Little Ceasers where low price is your selling point, not quality, any pizza restaurant that serves pizza with canned veggies should be shuttered. There's simply no excuse for serving a pie with anything less than fresh veggies cut daily.

Consistently good. Definitely order extra cheese on the cheesesteaks or you'll be under cheesed. Wish they offered more extended delivery hours, but hey that's the way it goes. We're regulars & happy.

I've been eating at Lombardi's since I was a child. I decided to bring my girlfriend who's not from Salisbury here to show her good food. Instead of a great meal, we got frozen mozzarella sticks. We sent them back and they remade them. Then when I got my cheese steak, there was a giant spot of mold on the bread. Blue mold -- how could you miss that. I walked up to the front and asked for a manager. He told our waitress to comp our check. She comes back and charges me for the tiny pitcher of sangria. So basically they covered the cold cheese sticks, the moldy bread, and the food my girlfriend was now terrified to eat. Lambardi's, you have fallen off. You were careful to charge me for a $16 pitcher but not careful enough to fry your mozzarella sticks and throw away your moldy bread. Bye forever.

Lombardi's is a fallback for husband and I, when we're over at the Twilley Center and happen to be hungry. The staff seems to be a lot of high school/college students and one or two older women. Friendly but sometimes a little slow. The decor is a little run down and I think the place could stand to be scrubbed top to bottom. They've hung pictures of Disney characters and other cartoons all over the store and seem to really milk the "kid friendly" aspect in all of their advertising. There is a giant mural of cartoon characters in their back room, and almost all of their ads mention the fish tank. To be honest, though, the fish tank is a bit sad and kind of gross. It's almost always full of algae, and my aquarium enthusiast husband has pointed out that there are way too many fish crammed in the tank for the fish to be healthy and happy. The food is priced very reasonably and is usually pretty tasty. The menu has quite a few options, whether you want pizza, subs or other Italian-American fare. They have a whole wheat pizza crust available that is not half bad. Occasionally I find the thin crust pizza to be a little under-done and not quite crispy enough. Husband likes their cheese steak subs and says that their cannoli are tasty.

I hate going here, but took my kid to get pizza and since this was close, i hoped my experience would be decent. First of all, I hate this place because it's dirty, dingy and for the quality of the food, overpriced. I like mushrooms on my pizza. But canned mushrooms are a cheap, tasteless way to go. The salads are horrible, and I can't think of anything i have gotten there where it was something I would come back for. So, I ordered a pizza and bread sticks for my kid. They forgot to make the breadsticks. This wouldn't be a huge deal, but they insisted on finding the order, to make sure I paid for them, before they even STARTED making them-while the pizza got cold. This is even as the cashier said she remembered ringing up the order for the bread sticks. I had to dig through my bag to find the reciept to show we paid for breadsticks in order to get them to START them. I didn't like the fact that they were so concerned with the $ that they would make me feel like I was trying to pull one over on them. It just reminded me why I HATE going there. There are much better pizza resturants in Salisbury. I can't, for the life of me, understand why this one stays in business. Oh, and the food was nothing to write home about either.

Cheese and toppings were good but the crust was very thin and floppy. The rest of the pizza was good but the crust seemed underdone.

My dad is in love with this place, but I don't really get it! The pizza and salad are fine. Nothing crazy special, but nothing bad. I do like the consistency; unlike some places that are great one night and horrid the next, you always know what to expect from Lombardi's.

The food isn't spectacular, it isn't even very good. The pizza is bland and cardboard like. The place is kinda dirty...the dance studio next door blares its music and makes it impossible to have a quiet meal. Bleah...I am getting sick of thinking about all the bad things about this place, so I'll start listing the good things about it. It has an exit.

This is a nice place to take your family on a friday night.....the pizza is good and the fish tank in the back is always a plus for kids! The delivery however is VERY SLOW!

I order a pizza for the kids every time we go here, they love it! An order of breadsticks with marinara sauce is a great way to start the meal. The Mrs and I order our Strombolis, which we are only able to eat half and the leftovers heat up nicely back at home. The Mrs loves the cheesesteak stromboli, and I go for the build your own. Great food, good prices.

Good greasy pizza. Best pizza in Salisbury for over thirty years.

I only give 2 stars bc the staff seemed somewhat helpful. The place is dated which isn't always a bad thing, but when you serve pizza that is bland and has the consistency of cardboard, there's an issue. It seemed like most ppl were ordering Heros so I should have followed with the crowd. Very disappointing

Get bacon on your meatball sub. Plus the pizza isn't bad. I think the white pizza is their best. It's greasy enough to drip onto the plate when you fold it to eat it and that leaves for a nice dipping oil for your back-end crust.
