I'm a Tuesday night regular and after many great experiences, it's about time I left a review. The new owner has made some good changes, most notably a much needed renovation. It's nice and clean in the restaurant with great seating. The girls running the front are fantastic, employees that I would hire in an instant if I ran my own restaurant. So how is the food? I give their wings 5 stars, the best around. I grew up in NY, went to school in Buffalo, was a regular at the Anchor Bar and Duffs... These wings are just as good. In a city where wimpy little wings are common, Bateman's Bistro in Rosedale serves up BIG, juicy, perfectly cooked wings. The sauces are great, I am a huge fan of their Buffalo garlic. Simply put, I would be happy to bring my out of town friends here for a bite to eat. I wish them many years of success!

If you haven't stopped by this location in a while, come on back! This Bateman's is under new ownership (not new management, new ownership), and you can see that the space looks great. The inside has been given an overhaul, it is very clean and a good place to grab a quick bite along the same vein as other "fast casual" joints like Panera and Chipotle (but better because you are supporting a local business). Here you will find bar food basics: a vast assortment of wings, sliders of all varieties, burgers, sandwiches, salads, daily specials and more. Really good food at really good prices. I am a big fan of the homemade chili, and the terrific taco salad puts others to shame. The ribs are more than adequate for the price tag (especially the Monday special). More good news is that their menu is available for catering and parties. If dining in, the place is family friendly but is also convenient for grabbing carryout if you are in a rush or dining solo. Plenty of bench seating for while you wait; you can call in your order in advance to speed up your wait time, but I have never had longer than 10-15 minutes on most orders when I place them upon arrival. The service is always on point. Orders are accurate and taken with courtesy and a pleasant attitude. You can tell that the employees are happy to be there and care about your experience. I wish Yelp would allow half stars; I would feel more comfortable giving Bateman's Express a 4.5 star review. They are trying hard here and it shows.

6/14/14 Decided to come get my nails done after Father's Day breakfast with my family. I have been craving wings and I normally don't get them in my area because they aren't like Bill Bateman's. I love this location because it is independently owned and their menu tends to be better than the chain locations. I ordered the jerk wings and some old bay wings! Just as great as I remember them. Also when you check in here there is a 10% discount off your order. AWESOME!! The staff is always friendly and quick to place and get your order out. There is plenty of parking and plenty of seating if you want to dine in. Check 'em out if you are in the area.

With all deference and respect to anyone truly suffering; I need to use this analogy. I understand battered spouse syndrome now. It took some years, but I got desperate enough last night to give my "abuser" one more chance. I went back to this location. If it is possible (I don't know because I blocked out the first experience with counseling and the help of better restuarants)-it was even worse. This has to be the single most bad example of how to do "bar food" in a none bar atmosphere that I can think of. Perhaps in a real bar you are drunk and what you thought was good really wasn't-or atmosphere allows you to tolerate badly prepared overpriced low quality food. I tried the wings again, seduced by the claim that this corporation has the "best buffalo wings in town"- that may be marginally true at the real locations- here at Rosedale-not so much. I had wings... - small (were they Cornish hen parts?) - overcooked- how would you like to sit in 400 degree oil three minutes too long - badly sauced- was supposed to be hickory was more like high fructose corn syrup with some of that fake smoke stuff in it - overpriced $8.99 for 10 small overcooked/skinny wing pieces I ate them this time- I was starving and everything else in the house was frozen. I will not go back. I will not let any of my friends do so. Mr. Bateman-if you read these things, please go to this location and bring them up to par with your real locations-they are hurting your brand. It is not the fault of the kids who are working there. They are doing what they know. They need to be trained and supervised. As for decor- the airfield cafeteria at Elmendorf AFB [Alaska] (20 years ago) comes to mind.

This is a good place for carry out, the dining area seems very fast foodish. The prices are good, portion a little small. So basically, half the food, half the price.

Great lady on phone. Shrimp salad sandwich was ok. Whole pieces of shrimp. Not too much mayo. Don't half step. Good to come grab a quick bite on the fly.

Tuesday is 49 cents wings. That's right you got it 49 cents wings. You have to buy them in multiples of 10 only. I tried the original which was hotter than I thought it would be. I was glad I had a soft drink to assist me. I also tried the butter and garlic wings. They were pretty good but, a little on the salty side. I'm not a corned beef rueben kind of person however, I was told that was great also. I dined in with a friend. It was very clean. They had televisions but, if you didn't have your x-ray vision, it was a little hard to watch the Orioles game. None the less. I enjoyed a great meal and I will return.

New ownership is making some great improvements to this place. Awesome wings! I love the hell wings with chopped jalepenos and the damien's. Great wraps and sandwiches. They have daily specials like 59 cent wing Tuesdays and $4.99 cheesesteak Thursdays. My go-to spot when I don't feel like cooking.
