The one and only time I was here, it turned me off. I only went when a co-worker wanted to grab a quick bite. The food was bland excepting the OK french fries. So much mayo on the sandwiches that the place should be called the Mayonnaise Cafe. Needs better ventilation. It was on a warm day and the place smelled like body odor; I am not kidding. The only redeeming values: it was clean, cheap and not crowded (that should have been a signal, no?).

Peter's is a great place to grab lunch during the work week. The food comes out quickly and it's inexpensive. It's a mom and pop sub shop with a laid back atmosphere. Its in the industrial area of Gude Drive so don't expect a fine restaurant, its commonly frequented by blue collar workers. Peter, who owns the shop and runs the cash register, is very friendly and energetic. They serve breakfast and lunch. I have yet to go and order something that wasn't delicious. The cold cut subs and the steak & cheese subs are personal favorites, and make sure to get a side of french fries!

Love the fries & the burgers!! Soooooo good!
(5)Brittany M.
A divey little place with no waiter service. I got an omellete with home fries and bacon on the side...really really good!! Super fast and cheap, too. If you're looking for a quick and yummy little breakfast of lunch spot, this place is great.
(5)Ima G.
I love the food here! I mostly get breakfast during the week but they also have lunch offerings. I typically get the breakfast platter (which I'm enjoying right now!) but have also had the bacon/egg/cheese on a croissant which is equally as good. I highly recommend this place!!
(5)Michael C.
Friendly family place. I ordered an egg white omelette with sausage and veggies. I recommend it if you like home cooked breakfast.

BP and I have wanted to try Peter's for a while. We went for breakfast and ordered lunch as well. Stick with breakfast food... My egg salad sandwich was just okay... Not very memorable and the cheesesteak was horrible. The pieces of beef were inedible. We only had about three bites total and could not finish the rest. We also ordered the crab cakes sandwich which was better than both the egg salad and cheesesteak. The price was decent and the accompanying roll and tarter sauce were spot on. Breakfast is the whole reason why I have given this place four stars. The cinnamon french toast was scrumptious and the western omelette was huge and so delicious. Definitely get the wheat toast, it was crunchy much better than the white. Peter and his son run the place, service was great!

Not bad! My brunch date (a.k.a. my daughter) even noticed that the prices are just fine. We visited Peter's Grill after I searched on yelp for any places within a reasonable driving distance along our route. Luckily yelp spotted this grill, so I bookmarked it. It's easy to go to and is located right off of the street. I had a breakfast sandwich, and my gal had a grilled cheese. I shared my sandwich with her, and she said it was good. I agree. The only thing was that it was very warm in Peter's Grill. I was thinking, "Where is the air conditioning?" So, our next visit here will be early before it gets hot outside. Good job Peter's Grill -- your prices and food are worth the visit here! But, you don't have to take my word for it, for other customers who were obviously regulars were stopping in for their to-go orders. I know their food was tasty. The owner knew them by name, greeted them with smiles, and wished them all a good day when they were leaving. That small business owner's delight is worth five stars. I look forward to ordering other items from the menu.

Haven't been able to visit for a couple years now so while I was in town I jumped at the opportunity to grab breakfast here before my flight - even though that meant waking up at 6:30 on a Saturday. I arrived shortly after 7 and it was bumping. For a second, I thought it was a weekday morning. If the locals are coming early to grab grub that early on a Saturday, you know the place is pretty special. The outside looks a bit old fashioned, but the energy and money they don't put into the outside decor seems to be reflected in their food and the relationships they build with their regulars. I'm not a regular anymore, but Peter and his son welcomed me back with a hot, delicious meal. I love coming here. I tried the ham and cheese sandwich for the first time here and it's my new favorite breakfast sandwich. half american half provolone. whole deliciousness. The math works out. I would know (I'm Asian).

I came here with 7 people and ordered just about everything on the menu. Nobody talked...just inhaled. Food was incredible.
(5)Joe M.
I've eaten there once-Great and inexpensive breakfast-teenage kids needed to-go box because of the huge portions. Coffee hot and good! Ownership and management welcoming and helpful-I'll make this a weekly stop!
(5)Jessica H.
Ok, so this is definitely a hole in the wall. But....it is awesome! Great solid breakfast place. Nothing fancy, but everything was cooked perfectly and it was super fast. We got the western omelette with homefries, and the pancakes, eggs, and bacon breakfast. My husband raved immediately about the homefries and my pancakes were light and fluffy. We made the mistake of bringing our 2 small ball and chains and they were rowdy and annoying as usual. (Yes, we're THOSE people!) The owner was very friendly and brought them each a cookie, which i thought was so nice! We will definitely be back. I'm looking forward to trying the breakfast sandwich next time!

4 stars compare to other delis in the area. Hard to find at first. It's on E Gude Drive, just past Branded '72 by the ceramic tile store (blinking/flashing yellow light intersection). The inside is nothing to write home about. Non descript place with an old tube TV high on the corner wall. Peter is funny and very personable. The order comes out very quickly, which is nice. I haven't been here for breakfast yet (been going to Gude Deli closer to my work), but the sandwiches I've eaten here are great. Thanks to the pic and mention of a BLT sandwich with grilled turkey and fried egg, it's my new favorite sandwich. Maybe it should be their signature sandwich? :) If you've tried Bean Bag (still most expensive deli in the area), Gude Deli (good $6.95 lunch specials), you should also check Peters Grill. Great and very reasonable sandwiches. Will need to eat breakfast here next time.
(4)Lannie L.
Peter's Grill has been a longstanding establishment for good reason! The prices are ridiculously low for this day-and-age and the food is comfort breakfast and lunch food at its best. The staff are so nice and personable (especially the delivery guy) and I'm sad I can't go there every morning to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The interior is no frills so it's super casual and comfortable. Some honorable mentions: steak and cheese, italian cold cut, sausage egg and cheese sandwich.
(5)Brian J.
One of the best subs in the MoCo area . Very local and closing times are something u need to work around . But the manager is one of the nicest people you will meet , and the quality of the food is fantastic
(5)Ryan A.
We just moved here from Kansas and have been on the lookout for new favorites. Well, this is it. Absolutely our favorite discovery so far: the best breakfast, and good lunch options as well. We are vegetarians and the veggie sub is delicious. But if you can get there for breakfast, go. Really great prices, also.
(5)Denise L.
I am absolutely a fan! Great go to for breakfast and lunch. Best of all - they deliver! I learned of this restaurant through a co-worker and have been ordering ever since. On those mornings where I haven't prepped breakfast, I rest assured knowing that I can call and have breakfast delivered to my office in no time.
(4)Marc L.
Work across the street so a convenient spot for breakfast! I always get the pancake breakfast with scrambled eggs w/ cheese and bacon. Pancakes are light and fluffy and bacon is crisp and decent. Eggs are good but they just slide a piece of American cheese into the scrambled egg before serving it. Bacon, egg & cheese sandwich on toasted white is good as well.
(4)David S.
We'd read reviews about Peter's breakfast offerings, so we piled in the car and swung by. Upon first glance, we weren't sure about it, as it's in an industrial-services park and looks plain, but I've never been the type to judge a book by it's cover. He's quite the character, and is quick and funny. The portions are huge, and these may just be the best home fries I've tried! I ended up with a (HUGE) steak, egg and cheese sandwich with home fries, while my ladyfriend opted for french toast. Even after stealing about half of my home fries, I was too full to complain! Everyone there (customers) were funny and having a good time, and the tables turn quick. I work close enough to swing by for lunch...sounds like a good idea today!
(4)J G.
Good cheap food and a friendly staff; what else could you ask for? Stopped in for a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Croissant and some has browns. All my food was great, and the guy at the cash register was extremely friendly and helpful.
(4)Kelly M.
You have never had Butter Chicken like Peter makes! This place is amazing. Peter used to be out on the pike and moved out to the Germantown area, near the Dutch Amish market. It's worth the drive! Always attentive to your needs, we have never had even a marginal meal there. Exceptional service, mouth watering spices, perfect portions for left-overs, and a price to fit your budget - you will not be disappointed!
(5)Laurel C.
I went with my husband for a quick breakfast when we were out running errands in the area. I got the veggie omelet with hash browns. It was huge and full of onions, mushrooms, and peppers. Very good veggie to egg ratio. The hash browns were pretty good, I got mine with onions. The potatoes weren't consistently cooked, but the overall flavor was good. I also had wheat toast. My husband got the steak, egg, and cheese on a bagel with grilled onions. It was greasy and delicious. He said it was like a cheesesteak on a bagel. Lots of meat, plenty of cheese, done well. He loved it. The overall experience is not fancy, as other have mentioned, but there's salt, pepper, and ketchup on every table, plus more sauce options in the fridge. We got good sized breakfast plus drinks for 2 of us for $15, and it was quick, so I'm a happy camper. Would definitely return if I'm in the area again.

I was in the neighborhood on a saturday morning found this little gem in a most unlikely location in an industrial strip. A true family operation (dad in front taking orders, mom in the back cooking and putting the food together, and son helping out in front). Great breakfast and sandwiches at unbeatable prices. My western omelet was cooked just the way I wanted, along with generous amount of home fries and toast. My son's steak and swiss cheese bagel was, according to him, great. These mom and pop breakfast and lunch places are getting harder to find, but this is a solid one.
(4)Zach H.
The best way I can describe this place is good hardworking people, making food for good hardworking people. Inconspicuously tucked in am industrial area, this place is throwing down breakfast and lunch like a combo deli/sub shop. Solid food that's not gonna break the bank. Super friendly and helpful service is what makes this a 5 star spot.
(5)Will B.
Peter's is a great spot for a quick bite to eat. Their breakfast is always on point. Total Recon will be a long time customer of theirs!
(5)Julie H.
Good breakfast food here, which is what I come here for. The service is always great, very kind and welcoming into the store. The food comes out pretty quick and its a good place to go to grab some breakfast with others if you are close by. I wouldn't say that the menu is cheap, but it is reasonably priced. There are many options on the menu so you can always find something you like. Whatever I have tried at this place has been pretty good, there are a lot of ingredients in one dish - something I love when it comes to my food. However, the egg can be quite dry and there isn't anything like a sauce to compliment the breakfast. Overall, its good - I would come here again with others to get some breakfast.
(3)Liz B.
This place has the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Seriously. I get them every Saturday morning before work and actually look forward to waking up early for breakfast. It is the highlight of my day. Beyond breakfast, the food is standard grill stuff. The prices are good and the service is normally quick though sometimes they do get swamped at lunch time. But I guess that's a good testament to their food. The atmosphere isn't really great for the sit down dinning experience but the friendly service makes up for it. The owner has a great memory for food orders and he treats his regular customers right.
(5)G C.
My co-workers and I constantly order from Peter's Grill, we even got other people in our building hooked on them! They are affordable, quick, and friendly. One day instead of ordering delivery, we ordered takeout and the staff immediately recognized us. Update - they are open until 4:00 on weekdays but I dropped by at 3:00 to order lunch and they said they were cleaning the kitchen so I was out of luck. If you are open till 4:00 keep the kitchen open, or change your hours to correctly reflect when people can get food.
(2)Randie H.
I tried the BLT with turkey and egg since it looked so delicious in the photo that someone else had posted with their review. The sandwich, fries and fresh brewed tea were great, the service was impeccable and the cooks here are FAST. Best of all, every table has a giant shaker of Old Bay. If you are a "diner person" you will like it here.
(5)Penny W.
If your looking for a great breakfast or lynch value for the amount of food you get Pete's Grill is that place. I just love their steak and cheese sub. WOW.
(5)Brian B.
Awesome Breakfast food. The ambiance is HORRIBLE - they must not have storage so they store their stuff out where the seating is. But honestly thats no bother. My only complaint about this place is if you eat THERE (rather than take it to go) - you have to use their plastic forks and knives and they are the cheap kind - made it hard to actually eat the food. But the food is GREAT so is the price
(4)Katie T.
Most amazing breakfast I've had in the area. Love the egg sandwiches on the huge croissants and the home fries are fantastic. It is a hole in the wall place that is cheap and ridiculously tasty.
(5)Jordan J.
This is one of those hidden treasures you hope to find. I am a regular customer and this place has literally never let me down. Great food, extremely fast and a very pleasant staff. A++++++
(5)Pauly S.
First time ordering food for lunch, Service was quick, driver was nice not sloppy looking and the food look, smell and taste good!!! Will definitely be ordering from them from now on!!!
(5)Mike M.
Great CLASSIC Grill! Service was amazingly fast and the guy was onto of his game. Food was great...
(5)Pat J.
Nothing special other than the fact that the owners makes you want to return everyday. Great people and fast service. Only three stars because it is just standard food. It's great food if you're craving that greasy (in a fantastic way) sandwich. I love this place to pieces and would give it a million stars if I didn't strictly rate a place by their food.
(3)Keith R.
Oh my god the STEAK AND CHEESE is so on point here and the fries are great. I get it at least twice a week but don't be fooled I've had most of there subs and sandwiches all of which are made to order with the same generous quality. Also those breakfast sandwiches are just out of this world I usually get a bacon egg and cheese on croissant and boy its a great way to start the morning. The bacon they put on that sandwich always perfect and they NEVER skimp, and are always GENEROUS especially on that steak and cheese so good. The service here is super friendly and always quick i usually never wait more than five minutes. Such a great place i can always recommend going here. oh and the prices are great
(5)David C.
The dankest Philly cheesesteak in town. Hands down.
(5)P M.
Most of the food is typical grill grub. But, the breakfast sandwiches are divine. It's the perfect start to the weekend for our whole family.
(4)Bill S.
Sort of a hole in the wall in an industrial area, but a gem of a hole in the wall. This is a breakfast and lunch place with a varied menu (mostly sandwiches and breakfast items, but some other things), with all items less than $10. The food is great. Definitely best value in the area.
(5)Mike Y.
Food was good. Not a lot of options. Not a place for a nice, sit down breakfast. Great for a quick grab.
(3)Natasha S.
We order lunch from this place often, and heard about it from other people in our building who use them as their go-to lunch people. While their menu is limited, their food is pretty good. Their deli sandwiches are decent. But the best thing about this place is the hot sandwiches (steak and cheese, jumbo cheeseburger) and even their chicken fingers are pretty good. They have good fries and are super cheap. Never tried their breakfast, but after reading these reviews I just might. A great, cheap and quick place to grab a greasy lunch!
(4)Yofriend H.
Start your morning or your lunch with a smile, this people have a smile on their face when you walk in I love it . They have subs and breakfast but I come on weekends for my brunch and the prices are amazing. I drive a distance to come to eat there and its worth it. The place is small if you want to sit but no problem you can take it to go and i think they deliver. All i can say is give them a try and I promise you will go back
(5)Wesley Y.
Awesome breakfast items and deli items had a western omelet at 6am ham tomato onions green peppers cheese. It's located off east gude if you don't know the area it may be hard to find. It's next to a ceramic tiles warehouse. Amazing food everyone should come check it out! The service is awesome!
(5)Jim S.
We order breakfast pretty often for work. The breakfast platter is awesome. 2 eggs cooked your way, Choice of meat, some tasty home fries, and toast for $5. The Subs are really good and the fries are addictive. Downside: It is a dump
(4)Fraser B.
Went for the first time today for breakfast - ordered the hot Pastrami sandwich on rye and husband got the steak, egg, and cheese sub. That plus a coffee and a drink was less than $15. The pastrami sandwich (with grilled onions) was one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. The owner and other employees were incredibly nice and helpful and it was a great value. But the food was surprisingly great! Ingredients are fresh and high quality, food was ready quickly, and the value was great. I will be there as often as possible when we're anywhere near the area. What a find!
(4)Robert H.
I attempted to purchase some coffee and a bagel using my MasterCard. Owner, Peter, demanded a $.25 surcharge for using my credit card. When I explained to him that he had agreed to the MasterCard Terms and Conditions with his bank that restricts any surcharges or minimum charges by merchants he ignored me and would not sell me anything without the $.25 fee added to the sale. When I asked him if he understood the agreement between him and his bank and he refused to talk to me. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PETTY THIEF. HE CANNOT BE PERMITTED TO MAKE HIS OWN RULES TO CHEAT HIS CUSTOMERS.
(1)Becca L.
Very good food and cheap too. Excellent customer service. It's not too much to look at and there are picnic tables for chairs, but once you bite into your meal you forget your surroundings.
(5)Alison R.
Good, cheap breakfast, sandwiches and fries are good too.
(4)Hanna L.
The Owner Mr. Lee is VERY nice. The breakfast is great here, the lunch is pretty good and the seasoned fries are great. You got to try his honey mustard sauce....delicious! My boyfriend and I love coming here for breakfast and lunch! Got to try Peter's Grill, if you haven't so!
(5)E R.
Based strictly on taste this place was good! I ordered breakfast for 5 people and got enough food for 10 and only paid $25. Their breakfast must haves are their breakfast platters which come with 2 eggs, choice of meat, home fries and toast, or sub out the fries and toast for 3 ginormous pancakes or 3 slices of french toast. The eggs were fluffy, not over cooked and not greasy pucks of bright fake substitute. Hard to find such a hardy, yummy breakfast for a great price in the heart of MoCo. It doesn't look like much from the outside and inside it's pretty utilitarian, but when it comes to the food they have it down pat...rumor around the office is the fries are also amazing...I'll definitely be back for lunch to try them out!
(4)Elizabeth B.
I mean the thing with establishments like this one is you pay for what you get. Don't expect to get a 5 star meal at a 1 star price. I did one time order their lunch and I wasn't too pleased but I only paid $5 which as adults we know that's chump change. However if you do decide to try this place out I highly suggest you to try their breakfast! Peters at my office is only ordered during their breakfast hours because it's 1. CHEAP and 2. It's pretty damn good. If I were to suggest anything from their very basic yet filing breakfast menu I would suggest either A. Breakfast Platter - 1 choice of bfast meat, eggs, toast and home fries (this comes up to a total of $5 w/ tax) B. Pancake Platter - same as above but instead of home fries you get 3 pancakes (comes to a total of $6, but well worth it their pancakes are delicious!)
(3)Kevin N.
Excellent food for fairly cheap. Awesome service, and the food is ready so quickly. It's hard to find but it's next to that lumber store and tile and ceramic store on E. Gude Dr. Must try!
(5)Michael B.
Been knowing and going to Peter's for about 10 years now. Haven't been disappointed yet.
(5)Roger B.
Very confusing. Now that I'm back working in Rockville, I tried to call this place to get a breakfast delivery for some guys at work. I asked what the minimum order was for delivery and was told $10. No problem since I planned on spending at least $20 with a maximum of $40. He asked where I was and told him N. Washington St. He says I don't deliver to residences. I told him there are no residences on N. Washington St, it's an office building. Then he asks me where the street is because he doesn't know it. I tell him where it is and he says we don't deliver there. I ask how far do you deliver because I'm less than 2 miles. He says I only go 1 to 1.5 miles. I am 1.8 miles. So for not going the extra 0.3 mile, I couldn't get my office breakfast and they will miss out on a minimum $20 weekly order that would've been established with today's order. If they only deliver a mile to a mile and a half and don't deliver to residences, then who do they deliver to considering where they are on Gude Dr? Years ago you could get them to deliver down to Rockville Pike. Not sure but this place is not run as well as it used to be.
