The owner of this location is terrible. I believe he plays the manager roll as well. Always yelling at his staff. All the customers hear it, and it makes the meal much less enjoyable. He should step back and let his employees do their jobs. I've never gone to this Ledos location again after my last visit. The owner should be fired, literally

Very slow service even though there was only one other table being served. The pizza was not good. It was served on cafeteria style trays. I asked for pepperoncinis to spice up the forgettable pizza. The server had no idea what I was referring to. I asked for hot sauce. I was brought a plastic cup of mystery sauce, and charged an additional seventy-five cents for it. I won't go back. I do not recommend this place. I've had better frozen food pizza. Do yourself a favor. Call Papa John's instead. At least they know what pepperoncinis are.

I have grown up eating Ledo's pizza and it is my go to pizza of choice, I have been to locations all over the DMV, however I will NEVER visit this location again. After being a paying customer several times we were denied use of the phone or any help whatsover when our car broke down in the parking lot. I am a veteran of the service industry and I have never had such bad customer service. To clarify we had just purchased a pizza and then went out to find the car being dead and they were rude and extremely unhelpful. There are always times when good customers may need help and I was just shocked by the way were treated after patronizing this business. NEVER AGAIN

Just picked up a pizza from here tonight. They should be ashamed as to how they treat their customers. Their phone person is extremely rude & the manager is no better. They need to understand that we are the customer giving them money; deserve at minimum, a certain level of respect. This will be the last time we order from here & warn others to stay away-there are many other pizza places in town to choose from.

Have been going here for a number of years and the pizza, especially the white pizza was one of the best I'd ever tasted but something has changed in the past few months...ordered a white pizza tonight and took it home...oil leaked on car floor, steps into the house, and on kitchen floor...we needed to block each piece of pizza with a paper towel...more oil than I ever needed or wanted; it was seeping out of the box onto the counter...maybe they changed the cheese...not sure but I am not going back.

My fiancé loves the food, but I rate it so low because of their young wait staff/cashiers.... Most are so rude everytime we go there... Too bad

It was my own fault for not believing other Yelpers' reviews for this location. I thought to myself, it's Ledo, how bad can it be? Aren't they all the same? We order the same thing every time we go to Ledo-wings, cheese fries, south Street cheesesteak, and a buffalo chicken salad. I can almost say there was something wrong with each dish. Wings and fries were burnt, and the portion of the cheesesteak was a Joke! Think of a cheesesteak arriving to your table and you can only see the closed bread. Lol, I almost laughed out loud and say is this serious?!? Oh how about my salad? It came out with ingredients that does not belong with the dish, when I cannot find our server, I asked another server if I can see the manager. I asked why is there a missing ingredient, and why is there an item on my salad when clearly it was not on the menu (while pointing), the manager or owner, probably don't even know their own menu, looked at it and say to me while pointing at my server, 'why don't you tell him to send it back?'. WAIT WHAT??? WHY aren't you doing it? Then it came back the second time, they threw out the cheese on top and gave me blue cheese dressing, when it clearly supoosed to be crumbs. When the food arrived at the table, I almost wanted to be that person who be like SERIOUSLY? but I'm letting it go and just never return. Hi Ledo, please set some standards for your franchise. I have never been this disappointed.

Came here for dinner of a Friday night. They weren't really busy but I don't know why it took our server over 10 minutes to simply bring out our drinks. My friend got the 18 inch pizza , which was really big. The one thing I didn't like about this place is their desserts aren't that great .

Places a pick-up order. I said, sandwich name, no ranch, and french fries. They said anything else, I said oh yes ketchup. What I ended up with was the sandwich, smeared with ketchup and no fries. Unfortunately I did not check it til I got back to work. I called to let them know they messed up the sandwich and forgot the fries ( I even would have paid additional for fries on the off chance it was an honest miscommunication.) but when I told them all they started doing was rudely telling me that I was the one to make a mistake because fries can only come with the sandwiches on ciabatta or wheat bread. Mine came on a sub roll. Then switched and told me I didn't specify I said the combo. I told them I said "with fries" so that should have been pretty clear. They then tried to flip their script again and at that point I decided that it wasn't even worth it and tried to choke down my DISQUSTING ketchup sandwich.

Hey, how about going further down the Pike to Matchbox or something? Seriously, you don't want to order pizza here. I have eaten at this location perhaps 100 times over the last 25 years or so, perhaps more. It's sad to see a favorite place slide slowly downhill, but here we are. Pizza for carryout last night: Really a soggy tasteless mess. No trace of the signature sauce taste which has made Ledo's a favorite with so many. Lackluster service. The manager, who is always on hand to train the ever changing squad of high schoolers has not mastered the fine art of eye contact, or connection with the customer at all. He has apparently lost contact with pizza making as well. Was in there a few months ago, and beer was not on the menu, or it was on the menu, but not available. Kinda sad, but this location is one to avoid.

Hmmm Rockville Ledo.. This location is less than a mile from my mothers home in Rockville, so it is really convenient to order from there. However, the manager/owner has no business running a business. He is very rude on most occasion, either on the phone or in person. (No I am not giving you my credit card number over the phone!). Recently, I called in an order for two pizza's... The person who answered asked me, "what do you want on the first one??", Then, "would do you want on the second one?" I replied and he read the order back to me. Well, we waited a few minutes and headed down there, walked up to the counter and gave him my name. There wasn't that many people in there for a Friday evening and after a minute or so, this person brought out ONE pizza. I said where is the other one?? Blank stare and then he said, only one was ordered. I said, who answered the phone?? I know it was him and he said, I don't know. So, I said, what am I supposed to do, wait another 20 minutes while you make another one while this one gets cold?? Blank stare. My sister said, lets just go to the Travilah Ledo, so we left. That's it! That's the last time at that location. As far as the pizza from Rockville goes, out of the 4 local Ledo's goes, it is dead last. I know my Ledo's pizza and Rockville is bland in comparison to the others. Not once or twice, we have been going to the Rockville location.for a while only because of convenience and it is ALWAYS bland! I summarize the best Ledo's in this order. #1, Travilah, the best of Ledo pizza, always friendly and will give us discounts on 4 or 5 large pizzas. #2. Montgomery Village, Gaithersburg, not as spicy as Travilah but great pizza and always friendly. #3. Derwood. Friendly service but the problem is, they skimp big time on the crust (crust is paper thin, not bad but you need to eat twice as much to get filled) and the skimp on the cheese. At Travilah and MV you don't need to order extra cheese, it comes with plenty. #4. Rockville, Dead last as far as service and taste goes. How he stays in business is a mystery. Corporate Ledo, take heed, your Rockville owner/manager has to go!

I signed up for their email club and received a free 8'' cheese pizza. This is the only thing I have tried so far. The pizza is good. I particularly like the tomato sauce and the crust. The crust is thin but soft, more like a regular Italian bread. The cheese is a little greasy and not super great, but it tastes OK and it has a nice texture. Their dining area is clean and spacious for a pizza place. I wish I could try some of their fancy pizzas but it seems too expensive compared to most other pizza places, so I don't think I will come back in any time soon.

Why is the service at this location so poor? And why do they not cook the crust at all so it's all gooey and falling apart! Shouldn't they all be the same?? The BEST is Travillah!!! Can you please give Rockville Pike some cooking tips and customer service manners? PLEASE????!!!!!!!!!!

Took my little cousins for a pizza treat here.. Everything is super cheesy, forget your diet at home! :) While the food is ok.. Edible, cheesy and greasy - the customer service sucks! The girl serving our table was so busy watching the Whitney Houston funeral with her eyes and mouth wide open, she forgot we existed .. I had to go to her and ask for soda and silver ware.. Twice! I'd be back if I want to satisfy the cheese monsters my cousins sometimes turn into.. But hate the customer service!

It's pretty easy to miss this Ledo's. It's on the second floor of a strip mall and is pretty well hidden from view. We were a bit worried by the reviews here, but my wife loves Ledo's pizza and we figured some good pizza would make up for whatever other issues we might encounter. As I mentioned in my other Ledo's review, I'll note that this is pretty close to St Louis style pizza: a thin almost cracker like crust with provolone instead of mozzarella. It's definitely not for everyone, but we like it fine. Service here was very polite. In fact, it was almost creepy how polite our server was. I'm not sure the guy was even human. Or he may have just had aspergers. I can't complain though - he was friendly and attentive... just... awkward. The food came out reasonably quick and it was as good as any other Ledo's pizza my wife or I have had before. Not my favorite pizza, but I won't turn it down.

All I have to say is... I can't believe this guy hasn't been shut down! We like Ledo's but this location is horrible. We had an issue with our pizza we picked up. I called and was on the phone with a man who said the manager was not there. Told me he name was Todd. So, I drive back there to speak to "Todd"...turns out "Todd" is really the manager and his real name is Rick! Seriously? I've heard him yell at his employees for getting refills on drinks that were not fully empty. I've seen him bring his dog into work! I think the health department needs to visit this place on a surprise visit! I'd give it 0 stars if it let me.

The food was like any other Ledo's, which is what I consider good, but not great. The service however was top notch. Another reviewer mentioned that it was almost awkward how attentive the guy was. He probably had the same waiter. I thought it was great though. We had our daughter with us...and this guy took a special interest in keeping her happy and entertained. It was like every time he stopped by, he had something else for her...all free. We had apple sauce, a juice box, crayons, a ballon. She loved it...so of course I loved it. The waiter definitely deserves all the credit though.

Processed taste and limp crust pizza that lacks real flavors. They use canned mushrooms for the veggie pizza. I used to love Ledo's because of the crust but last time it was just a soggy mess. I must say that's the last time I will go there. Keep going down The Pike, there are much better pizza places i.e. Matchbox or Giuseppe's.

Oh my god, this is what passes for DC's best pizza? Atrocious. Just absolutely atrocious. I had the house special pizza and I dined in. These are what I would consider to be conditions for an optimal pie. It was just terrible. We each ate maybe half a piece. For an unknown reason we took the leftovers home with us. I don't know if the dog would have also turned her nose at it but I couldn't bring myself to offer it to her.

Everyone has a place that disgusts them, but they still secretly go to when they are desperate. Call it my Micky D's. The fridge was fairly empty after being gone for a few days of work travel, and it was well past my dinner time. Pizza sounded good, so I speed dialed Z Pizza, my "healthy" choice pizza. Closed. At 9pm. Sigh. Definately not a perk of suburbia living. Fairly certain that Giuseppi's was still open, I hopped in the car to grab a slice. Also closed, as one of the local middle aged men's summer softball teams snickered silently in my direction, enjoying their pizza while dining al fresco. Clearly annoyed, I googled Three Brothers Pizza and gave them a call, while heading down Rockville Pike, certain that the third time would be my charm. Nope. Closed at 9:30. Sighing, but desperately craving SOMETHING, I headed over to Ledo. If I were wearing a hat, this is where I would pull it further down over my face and slide on some dark shades, hoping the paparazzi were not hot on my trail. While Ledo did come through for me in my time of need (+1 star), the block of cheese wedged in between the flaky calzone crust reminded me yet again of why I will refrain from ever going back there. Until I'm desperate again.

I dined here with 2 friends around 5pm and there were no customers, but us. We went in and the workers were just sitting around and chit chatting. I wanted to specialize my pizza and have them write "Sorry" on the pizza with peperoni and they said they could do that without charging me extra. The pizza came out in a timely manner and looked okay.... the crust was soft and it was extra greasy. The Design with the peperoni was LEGIT! my friend did forgive me haha.. Overall this is a cheap restaurant for pizza, it was about $15 for 2 rectangle pizzas for at least 3 people. The service was okay for what looked like High school/ college students trying to make some money.

Waiter forgot to put my son's order in and wouldn't get manager when I complained. Manager S R J refused to rectify the situation and verbally harassed my family and I. Go to any other Ledo's and you will experience wonderful food and service. Avoid this Ledo's like the plague.

Okay, so I'll be the first to admit that fine dining is not to be had at any Ledo's Pizza. But, at least when I'm do have that craving for carbs and cheese, I know I'm getting what I pay for here. There calzones are definitely better than the subs, and the salads have all been okay. I'm always leery of trying anything too complex though as simplicity seems to be their one and only forte. I think overall this location gets a bit of a bad wrap simply because of the old, and somewhat dirty shopping center where it's located, but I know just for convenience sakes I'll still return.

My cousin dragged me into this place after I mentioned I wanted Italian for dinner. Walking into the establishment I flashed back to chuck-e-cheese minus the play area and the mechanical dolls. The cashier froze as soon as we walked up and said,"You have the most beautiful eyes..." * awkward pause* and continue... I ordered the meat lovers calzone and he ordered another calzone both with a side salad. Seemed ok except for the fact that we waited almost 45 minutes for our dinner all the while the girl coming out to check on us (IOW staring into my eyes increasing the awkwardness of the situation). All this to say that the calzone was average at most. It was very greasy and dripped everywhere. There wasn't any real separation of tastes, just a melting pot of oily dough, and the sausage tasted like it was old and new meat mixed together. The salad was on it's last legs which I attempted to eat but couldn't stomach. I guess now that the only great thing I got from here was the compliments from the cashier girl.

This evening my family decided to have something different for dinner-Ledo's. As we walked in to this location the greeting by the Manager was "Dine in or Carry-out?" Carry-out please. He said what do you want? I asked for a menu which he slid across the counter.-Strike 1 I ordered a pizza and he said what size? I asked for the choices and he rudely says "look back there" (pointing to the sample sizes on the wall. -Strike 2 He asked for my name to place on the order and stated that it would take 15 mins. I asked a staff member for the Manager and they stated that "Mr. Friendly" was the manager. As a manager myself I told him in a soft voice that he should smile more especially greeting customers that come in to serve his business because it was a better look. He said "so".-Strike 3 When my food was ready, the Manager looked over at me and said here and threw my food on the counter.-Strike #$%^ FOUR!!!! I asked him for my money back and told him that I would never come back in there again. He replied that he didn't care, he wished he had better customers than me. I said not with your attitude. He told me to get out and go to McDonald's (like his place was an upscale restaurant). So I told him he should come with me so he could get some personality training and I walked out. This Ledo's location needs to shut down ASAP. This guy gives Ledo's a terrible name. I agree with the other Yelpers- I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!

Bad service here. Ordered carryout, was told 20 minutes. Showed up 30 later, but pizza wasn't ready. That's fine, we wait. Then we hear the manager on the phone, calling someone. "We gave you the wrong order, can you bring it back?". Uh-oh. 15 minutes later we see the manager walk out with a pizza. He then reappears (came back through the back? He didn't go past us on the way in) and calls us over and hands us a our order. The whole time there manager said nothing to us while we were waiting. We left with pizza an hour after ordering. The pizza was barely warm, the bread sticks were hardly baked (still pale and chewy). There were only 3 - is that a normal order? Did the customer who had our order eat one? I like Ledo's pizza, but the first time trying this location will be my last.

No reason to visit here with such a variety of other pizza options just 1 or 2 miles away. Made the mistake of coming here. Lackluster service. Average food at best. Place is empty on a sat night. The worst part? Lack of liquor license?

Here is nothing is like other Ledos. We went there last week, it was middle of the day and we were only customer (later a homeless joined us). After 10 minuets waiting Manager/owner cam by and asked us what we want. There were no smile neither greeting.. We ordered salad for appetizer and pizza for main course. Since we wanted share the salad we asked for extra plate, both plates were dirty and we had to ask to replace them. Pizza was over cooked, however since it took forever for pizza to arrive we were late and decided to eat it. Every time we wanted something we had to yell for 4-5 times to make him to show up! I asked for some extra pizza sauce (which I always do, I love their sauce) and after they bring my check I realized they charged me extra it (I've been in at lease 5 other locations they never charge for a bit extra sauce). Leado need to have better control on its branches. All in all, I highly recommend STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! There are too many Ledos around. I'de give it 0 star if yelp let me!

I'm kinda with the crowd here. This Ledo's, which was once my family's haunt when I was young, used to be the cat's meow of pizza places. Back then, this place was CROWDED- so crowded that they ended up adding an additional section with tables. That section is now closed up and is part of a record store. The thing that always get's me about this place is the consistently poor service. Let's play this out for you for a second. Me: " Ok, could I have an ice tea and I'll take the soup salad and breadsticks with the Italian wedding soup- dressing on the side for my salad" Server: "Ok... *opens the menu* what do you want? Me: *almost thinking it's a joke* *I stare intently at him for a second- realize he's not kidding* - Me: " could I start with an ice tea and I'll take the soup salad and breadsticks with the Italian wedding soup " Server: " The Italian wedding soup ?" Me: "yes- and dressing on the side for the salad" The owner (manager) brought most of my food out in between him yelling audibly at his staff to either - go clean tables! -go get table 11's order! The owner (manager) put that food on my table and said "that should be everything." No - "enjoy your meal" or "let me know if you need anything else". As for the yelling manager, It was just so inappropriate. Inappropriate enough for another table to comment to the waiter, "you know you shouldn't let your boss yell at you like that." Eeek Awkward. It seems that every time I've gone here in the recent past, the waiters are on their first day on the job and are crashing and burning with little to no tables. That being said, the food is always good. I love my salad soup and breadsticks. Though the breadsticks could have used a little more time in the oven. I can't reconcile the atrocious service. I'll go to the one behind Montgomery Mall. Service there is fantastic each time I've been.

This place is awful. Hands down worst service I've had since I've moved, here several years ago. I came with a group of 8 people. We waited over an hour for our food. There was no one else in the restaurant. The manager never comes out to apologize. Everyone finally gets their food and they forgot mine. I wait another 20 minutes and the waiter brings me the wrong dish. I am confused because he specifically had me point it out on the menu. He kept coming back asking what kind of dressing I wanted with my Cesar salad..... The other waiter comes out asks who's missing food and wants our names. He's talking like he's going to comp our meals. While my friends are finishing up they bring me my food and it's obviously pre frozen. It was awful. Who serves frozen pasta????? It takes 10 minutes to make! The sauce wasn't fresh either. I sent it back. They had the audacity to charge me for it. I told him to bring his manager out. I told the manager I wasn't paying for it. He said ok. After I waited nearly 2 hours they still charged me for my lemonade and salad. What kind of manager doesn't come out to apologize and try to make it right? Never again. Stay away this place is awful

Oof, one of the crappiest Ledos I've ever been to. I can get down with some Ledos, but this spot is really hurting. I'm surprised it's still open! It's in the back corner of the Earth, but what makes it so bad is the service. Friendly but sadly incompetent. And this is after 3 visits. Even though Ledos wings are my jam, I won't be coming back to this location.

The owner is the sole entity of this store, he answers the phone and is very rude on it. When I went to pick up the pizza he claimed there was a $10 dollar minimum on credit card orders then claimed that every place has a minimum. I then offered my insight in a polite way and he was rude saying that this isn't every place. When I asked him why my bill was more than the advertised price, he told me surcharges, which is the credit card fee. So why is there a minimum? Did I mention he didn't have a SIGN stating this? He then asked me if I wanted the pizza or not, and said a sarcastic comment relating to my knowledge of businesses. Never coming here again.

Never ordered pizza here, but I would like to leave a review on the atrocious parking job done by their delivery guys. Seriously, how hard is it to park between the lines?? Some genius who works here decided it was ok to park ON the line, taking up 2 spots in the already small parking lot. Good job you inconsiderate ^~*~€{*^#.

Every time I stray away from the Wheaton Ledo's my family knows it and complains! They say the crust in Rockville is too thick. My son says Rockville burns the cheese. Well today was the straw that broke the camel's back. The Rockville Ledo's made our deluxe pizza incorrectly. At Wheaton, they open the box before you leave the counter to confirm it's correct. Rockville does not. Got in car, thank goodness I opened box before I left. They had burnt cheese and made the pizza mainly pepperoni when it should have been half pep/half cheese. On our 2nd pizza, they did not "hold" the bacon. When I took it back inside the mgr took it to kitchen and said I would have to wait 20 min. When I asked if he was going to comp the pizza he said No. He said the kitchen staff will have to pay for their error. I explained to him that the staff paying did nothing for me, the customer. He offered me a soda. I explained that a soda was not enough for my 20 min of extra wait time. He retracted saying, "It won't be 20 min." He left the counter never to return. The pizza came out in about 15 min and I asked to see him. Told him I was very disappointed in their customer service and that good restaurants offer some sort of complimentary perk to make amends. He shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. Standing beside me was a dine-in customer complaining about being charged for 25 wings when they only received 18! Go to Wheaton Ledo's!!!! It's well worth the drive each and every time!!!

Absolutely appalling service! Ordered a spinach salad. Same order I get all the time from another location.. ..the food was spoiled. I contacted the store and requested another salad but asked that they make it FRESH. I didn't ask for a refund because I simply wanted what I paid for. So I took it back to the store and The Managing Partner, Sanford Datcher was rude and unapologetic. All I wanted was a fresh salad. Instead he only offered a refund. Ledo's has been a favorite spot for lunch and dinner but the ROCKVILLE location doesn't seem customer friendly at all.

The worst Ledos location I've ever visited!!! Went in for an order of bbq wings with a Ledos famous steak and cheese, let me start by saying my wings were drowning in bbq sauce I definitely didn't ask for extra bbq sauce, the steak from my sub didn't really taste like it normally does it had more of a sausage flavor, I'm a regular to the Wheaton location and I will continue to be.. Wish I would've read the reviews before I went in, literally a waste of money and very poor service our waitress rolled her eyes at me numerous times.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
