Who are these people kidding! Worst place ever! The croissants aren't even all the way cooked! I've also had sandwiches with spoiled meat in them. Don't go here!

Today was my first time going here, I've been working in the area for over two years and decided to go. I bought two brownies, two cheese croissants, and two chocolate croissants (these are huge), all for $6...quite a deal! The cashier was very nice. Croissants and brownie were delicious and fresh, they also have breakfast croissants...gotta try those soon. The only drawback: CASH ONLY - NO CREDIT CARDS!

This place is a hidden gem in more of an industrial street in Rockville. It's a cute Mom & Pop's shop that has been owned for over 35 years. The food is good and cheap and the people are super friendly. As far as one reviewer wrote, they DO accept credit cards and HAVE BEEN for the longest time and why would anyone accept a check for a sandwich payment?? SMH** If you want a true french croissant, go to France, not Gude Dr. in Rockville. Do you think you go to a neighborhood sushi restaurant and get authentic Japanese sushi? Give me a break.

Dear Owners- I see a train-wreck coming to your store. I stopped in on a Wednesday lunch to order (a quick bite) a meatball sub. It took almost 5 minutes just for your employee to go to the back and place the order. I paid for it and a bag of chips. Then I noticed that there was nothing in the pastry shelves that used to be lined with baked goodies. I also noticed the front grille that used to be sizzling was off. I then noticed the boxes of french baguette sitting out to the open, some within arms reach to customers. I waited patiently and busied myself with work for another 15 minutes until I really had to just go back to work and tried to get someone's attention (someone from the back noticed I was pacing). Your cashier ran out with my food and said "sorry, its just really frozen, no one really orders this, would you like your bread toasted?" So, you made me wait for almost 20 minutes for frozen meatballs? I'm imagining you couldn't be bothered to microwave and just Not tell me it was frozen? For the love of all foodies, I paid $7.26 ($8 because I tipped her all my change) for a bag of chips and a sandwich and the meatballs were frozen and you had to ask if I wanted the bread toasted?! I asked her how much longer and she said 5 minutes, so I asked her for a refund, and she said "Are you sure? it's almost done." I left the store with my bag of chips and my sanity in tow. I'm really sorry, but you just lost a long-time customer. I loved coming here with my dad and grabbing fresh baked goodies at a super decent price, but the pricing and the lack of quality now, the persistent smell of grease, and the frozen food has now made me say, sorry, but no thank you. I urge you to get your act together.

Bring cash only, as they don't take credit cards or checks. About the only thing this place is good for is cheap breakfasts. Try a bagel or anything but a croissant. cash only and have the worst croissants I've ever had. They're chewy, not flaky and just wrong. The only thing french about these are their shape. The people are nice though.

It's been almost two years since I last stopped by and I have to say I am a fan! Chocolate croissants are still $1.25 and still delicious. The plain croissants are huge, buttery and flaky. They are just a buck! You wouldn't know these golden treats awaited you inside from the bleak exterior. They sell other treats and golden empanadas too! It's a bit out of the way, but if you find yourself on Gude Drive give it a try.

Yummy for my tummy! First things 1st, This place is cash only and only open for breakfast & lunch M-F. I tried the chicken salad on croissant and my bestie had the tuna salad... DELISH! The croissants are fresh, flaky and fabulously melt in your mouth! There was a good variety of tempting fillings, steak and cheese is next on my list. Even better than the food was the warm friendly welcome we received from the owners who actually run the place. We received a special treat of chips, fruit danish and a fresh baked cookie because we had to run over to the Exxon to use the atm, a slight inconvenience but so worth it! Truly a hidden gem on Gude!
