perfect place to chill, get some drinks and if you love korean music, its there. Food and drinks are in good price, and taste. Never been to Korean bar? this is the place. I've been going to this place for few years now, workers are nice and love this place.

The service sucks... The one guy tonight was okay but the other female bartender.... Work on your etiquette with customers. I stayed for 1 beer and left. And the only Korean restaurant I know that doesn't serve short ribs. I won't be back.

You will not find any non-Koreans at this restaurant. Most of the time, this is supposed to be an indicator of the authenticity of the food, but not necessarily in this case. This restaurant (in its current and previous forms - Nulbom, Options) is like a Korean Bennigans. Bennigans was the coolest place to go in high school, though anyone who has developed a taste in food at all since then wouldn't be caught dead there. So how's the food? It's okay. A friend of mine swears by their soon dubu, though I've had better (Go to Vit Goel or Arirang just down the street). They have most traditional Korean dishes - stews, rice dishes, etc. - but there really isn't anything special about the food. They've got a full bar, though, which is what does draw people here, I believe. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired. I do like the many different spaces in this restaurant, though the Korean music videos that blast from the TVs, residual noise from the karaoke rooms in the back, and random pieces of "art" that are scattered throughout fill diners with a sense of uncertainty and discomfort. The past five times I've been here with other English-speaking Koreans, we've been denied access into the main dining room and shoved into the no-man's-land of this restaurant where service is inevitably bad. I've wasted too much time trying to flag down our server for extra chopsticks, water refills, the check, some love. It's not a horrible place, but there are slightly better options elsewhere. A lot of times, my friends and I came to 20/20 because it was the only Korean place open late at night. But now we have Yet Gol ( yelp.com/biz/yet-gol-sil… ).

Most Koreans do not go here to eat. If you are Korean and go here to eat it is either out of desperation or you do not know the area well enough. This is where many MoCo Koreans go to drink. Eating should be the furthest thing from your mind when you come here. The service, as in the attractive male and female servers and bar tenders, here is pretty good, especially if you are well known. The drink prices are comparable to every other bar around. Good place to get drinks, bad place to enjoy a dinner.

I'm a regular here, not because they have great food, or the service blows the competition away. It's just one of those chill places that a lot of the locals come to - you walk in, can sit at the bar and have a few beers. There are those who just come by themselves, but I see them having a good time chattin' it up with the bartenders, or the owner herself. It's usually packed on Friday and Saturday night (starting around 11pm). It is more of "drink hole," rather than a restaurant, I wouldn't dismiss the fact that they actually have some good Korean dishes. I would have to say all of their 20/20 dishes are pretty good, so I don't think you could go wrong with any of the choices. Some of the locals' favorites are the pork neck soup / gamja tang / , the fried rice with egg on top/ omurice / , and the spicy conch with noodles/ golbengee with noodles / . The place is kind of hidden (look for the round Kosher Mart sign) and you can't really tell by the exterior. Some have thought it was a closed down business because it looked dark from the outside, but it's just their dark interior and dim lighting. Just like the other Yelpers mentioned, they have plenty of parking space. They are closed on Mondays though. They have happy hour specials too, so ask your waiter/waitress.

I belive this place is out of business. correct me if i'm wrong. but i went by and this place looked pretty boarded up. chairs outside, no lights on at 9PM... pretty weird.

I used to go here all the time back in my late teens & early 20s to drink before it was called cafe 20/20. the place is good for local when I didnt want to drive out to Annandale. Now I rarely go here to drink but rather, to eat. Their gamja tang is very good!! I've been looking for a good gamja tang place since the small place in Annandale disappeared and the price is chesp, esp during happy hour! :)

Gamjatang is a must here. Especially when the weather's cold. The bartenders here are a lot of fun-- easy on the eyes too. Great local place to go drinking. If you're asian, at least, lol. So come in, have a good time, and tip them well.

I love the omelet kimchi fried rice and fries.

The soups here are delicious! It is quite loud at night though, couldn't hear myself think. There was a DJ at the entry, mind you this is not a big place.

First of all, yes, they are in a very sketchy shopping center next to a book store. They've moved next door from where they were and it's pretty bland right now in terms of decor. Waiter was ok and seemed nice enough. Drinks came quick enough even with a hiccup in their water system, along with food that someone at my table ordered. At some point a DJ came in to the very cramped lounge and started blasting music so loud it was hard to hear anyone, even if they were just across the table. I heard a lot of good things about this place but I'm not sure I'd come back again.

I've started coming here a lot. I usually don't go to bars that are all asians. because there no good deals or good HH specials. BUT that said, We got a good deal on Jameson. The foods not bad, the fried rice with omellete is good. the pork neck soup is very spicy. Most of the soups are pretty spicy. the soju is standard price, some drinks are a bit overpriced. Awesome bartenders here. When you sit at the tables its a little different, the servers come take care of you, sometimes they are a bit busy. THE KITCHEN CLOSES LATE!!!!! Connect to the free wifi!

Just got off work, tired, and looking for a chill place to kick back with friends and have a few drinks? BAM! You found it! This is literally the place my friends and I always go to on Fridays 90% of the time. After work, go home, shower, call everyone up, and meet at Cafe 2020. The owner Liz is awesome. She's generally a very nice person and she treats her regulars with respect. The rest of the bartenders and waiters know us very well too. They're very easy to get along with. I love this place. The only thing I would like different from Cafe 2020 is that they should put Ja Jang Myun as a dish. I love me some Ja Jang Myun....

This place moved next door and is like 1/8th of the size of its former location. I think it has maybe 10 or 11 tables of 4 and a large bar. Tiny place!! The food is just like how I remembered. Good stuff. Whole fried chicken is perfectly fried and delicious. Soju and Hite beer equates to sojubombs! Nursing a bit of a hangover writing this review. They have a DJ Saturday night and was a fun vibe. They don't thankfully have kpop videos on their TV I think. It only has 2 or 3 tv's now. Next time I'll stop by here for dinner. Another good spot for korean food, but great hangout with friends at night. Good times.

We needed a dinner option late at night, and this place is open until past 1am according to Yelp. At night, the place looks sketchy on the outside. The windows have a black draping, and you can hear the loud music before you walk in. They play Kpop on tvs above you, which is fun but makes it difficult for our party to have a conversation. Our server was fun and bouncy and welcoming. Our group ordered some alcoholic drinks, soup, bulgogi, and fried chicken gizzards. Everything tasted pretty good, and portions were really big. When we left, our ears were ringing a little from having been inside for so long.

This is a review from someone who doesn't drink. For being one of the few, if not the only, Asian bars in Montgomery County, the food is actually really good. I typically get the fried pork cutlet because of the size and ease of sharing with buddies. If you're there, you should look for the handsomest bartender there. He's friendly and you should tip him excessively well. He doesn't bite, unless you're hot and you want him to. Heck, maybe even if you're not so hot. Yeah...this is totally an unbiased review and I don't personally know this particular bartender that works at this particular establishment at all. Totally not being facetious :p

I finally got a chance to check this place out on Friday aka 'Ladies Night.' Oddly enough, there were no ladies in sight... It was a complete sausagefest (aka nam-tang) the entire time I was there. 2020 is literally in the middle of nowhere. Parking will never be an issue in the huge and deserted, yet questionable, parking lot. Honestly, I'm not sure why any ladies would actually want to come here. And if their date brought them, it might as well be their last.. 2020 reminds me of your typical Korean 'stand-bar' establishment, where young/old men come to get their drink on and attempt to spit game (more like empty their wallets) at any female(s) in sight--basically, the one and only female bartender. There were 4 items on special - 2 of which we decided to order - gamjatang ($10.99) and tongdak/beer pitcher combo ($17.99) The yeungling pitcher was flat/piss-like (on par with most Korean establishments) but the food was actually pretty decent (on a Korean 'bar food' scale) minus the cheap rice they used. I noticed there were no prices on the Korean alcohol section of the menu--typical, shady practice. When we asked how much soju (chamisul fresh) was, the waiter told us $13.99. Really?!?! That's a pretty huge markup for something that costs $1 in Korea, served at a bar in the middle of nowhere. I'm guessing the later it gets, the easier they can rip customers off with this priceless menu tactic. I really hate places that do this... They were setting up turntables/large speakers around the time I was leaving. Perhaps the so-si-ji party was about to begin...

If you are OG this place use to be OPTIONS but it has been 20/20 for the past few years. Over the past year it has gone through renovations and slide over to its other space which is definitely smaller but the decor is nicer. It's an Asian bar that is predominately Korean since it is Korean owned and the servers are Korean. The food here is great! Come here with your friends to drink soju and share some korean dishes! They have a TV which plays korean and hip hop music videos. Also they have another TV that plays Sports(NBA/NFL/etc). I believe on saturday nights they have a DJ that plays mostly EDM.

i was going to forgive them for playing jhameel but this is my updated updated probably last review of them ever...review. if you're not a regular, someone with korean fluency, or male, i suggest you get a table instead of sitting at the bar for these reasons: 1. the servers will be way more attentive than the bartenders (whom as far as i know, are all female late night) 2. the bartenders will service regulars better even though you sit there waiting for longer-than-usual time to order food/ drinks. 3. game over if you're a female because they will pay more attention to the males (which is actually pretty good business/marketing practice but good job making other patrons feel under-served) 4. etiquette. costumers have bought food for them which they eat right in front of other customers. shouldn't you normally say thank you, and if you want, accept the food but put it for later until i don't know, your break or after work to eat it? i can understand if males will order more drinks, but please pay attention to others that don't frequent often, don't speak korean, and are female. it was a real letdown and you'll lose business that way. give us the attention, the time, check on us, ask if we need anything, and everything's good. we were going to originally order more drinks, but because of this experience, we just wanted to eat our food as quickly as possible, finish our drinks and leave. also, it's pretty ridiculous if you're not too well known to this one particular bartender, she will stare at your id for the longest time, wave at it in the light, etc... but not card the regulars. what is this standard, seriously. oh, and will not accept vertical id even if you're 21. because it's "against the law" no, it's not against the law, there is no law against that. if you're 21, then you're 21 regardless of what kind of id you're holding. the real reason is it is due to the discretion of the business, i have seen many other places accept a vertical 21+ id. last complaint is don't charge me like 14 bucks for a whiskey sour if it was like 3/4 sweet and sour and the rest whiskey. AND IT WAS SWEET AND SOUR MIX omg i was so disappoint. also your long islands have missed the gin before (and yes i am that attentive because i bartend for fun AND CAN TASTE EVERYTHING). and also please invest in aromatic bitters. but the only reason i keep coming here because it's practically the only place around the area that opens until 2am. and because the specials are not half bad. and the food for the most part, rocks my socks off. ugh, i am so torn right now.

Exterior: For frequent 2020ers- No longer located "upstairs". Relocated next door to the left. Interior: Renovated. Hooray for better use of space!! I always felt that 2020 had too much unused space- especially in the very back since I rarely saw any customers sitting there. Lighting has improved. Bar has improved. I feel better for the bartenders because there's more room to move around now and bar area looks cleaner. Tv is up on the wall so you can watch all the cute/sexy korean music videos and ask "who is this group again?" I swear every week a new kpop idol group emerges and I'm always outdated. Service: So far so good. I haven't had any problems with service. Liz, 2020 owner, is very friendly and greeted us at our table. FOOD: I stick to my usual. The spicy sausage with green peppers, fried rice with a egg blanket, and gamjatang. Yes. If you word it this way they will still know what you talkin bouts. Oh gamjatang. When will you ever present to me more than a quarter of gamja? This is the only complaint I have for what I order here. Gimme more gamjas! Like

Like many places in the suburb, this is a destination place. Feeling the late night hunger pains and the urge to have just one more drink? Celebrating a friend's birthday and need a large space? Need a place to pre-game with friends before heading to Bethesda or dc? Look no further, if you ask you shall receive and 2020 could be the place to suit your needs. People love to hate on this place but let's be honest, an "Asian" let alone "Korean" lounge outside of Annandale, Virginia? One with an awesome owner who cares about her customers and bartenders who will actually care? I may be totally biased but don't be an asshole and they will treat you like family here. The food is good and has a wide range of non-spicy food for the meek and pretty hearty Korean meals for those who are hungry. Good for dinner or late night bar food. The drink specials are pretty good and pending on which night you go, you can curate your experience based on where you sit (by the bar, near the bar, or far away from the bar). You get everyone from the just turned 21 year old to the old school people you haven't seen in years. Just embrace the experience and enjoy it. If you feel alienated, check your inhibitions at the door and have fun- this place is def. a place I could go to by myself.

It's difficult to imagine a place next to Goodwill and countless other abandoned-looking strip mall shops that a place like Cafe 20/20 can survive and exist. So on a whim for a birthday party, it was a good excuse to check it out. The exterior may look depressing, but once you get in, you'll notice a blend of dining tables and a party section in the back. By party section, I meant there is a karaoke stage with loud speakers, as well as several large tables that can accommodate large groups fairly easily. It helps when you're drinking that a bathroom is nearby, and that's exactly the case for Cafe 20/20. Not being a spicy fan, I was worried more than 1/3 of the menu tout its spiciness. Fortunately after trying 8-9 different items, the spicy level is moderate, though I suspect they can make them more spicy if you request it. The highlights included the Korean grilled beef (with scallions) and omelet fried rice. Their hot soup had great ingredients, but was still too spicy for me. Overall the service was above average, as they catered to a huge group of us nicely. I hear that after 10pm, it can get very busy. As far as Korean restaurants go, Cafe 20/20 is a decent choice if you happen to be in the Rockville area. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for dinner, but I can already imagine what it's like after 10pm - give me KPop or give me death.

Visited 20/20 on a Saturday night last week. Place was very nice - not so much a lounge setting but if you want some great authentic Korean food late at night along with wonderful service then this is the place to go.

Have not eaten there during the day but enjoyed some late-night snack food during their lounge time. I have been there twice, the last time being a Halloween party which was a blast! Definitely have to try the soju!

Good food! Tasty drinks and eye candy. My favorite dishes are grilled chicken gizzard, jamppong, and kimchi omlet fried rice. Personally I hate soju so i get yogurt flavored soju.

I don't like using the word potential, but this place has potential. Unfortunately, management stinks. I don't live in the area so maybe the one time I went to this place happened to be an "off" night for them. But at the same time, some of the things I saw were just so atrocious that I highly doubt it was an "off" night. The Good - Food was surprisingly very tasty although a lot of the dishes took a while to come out. The crowd was ok and the venue was fairly nice and well laid-out although they can make some improvements near the back and in the bathroom (no paper towels is kinda annoying). The Bad - Drinks were decent but if you're offering half bottles of hard liquor, you should offer half bottles or at least bring a full bottle out that is half-full. Don't bring it out in a jar where we have no idea where the liquor came from or if we even received a fair amount. For all we know, you could easily water down the alcohol or pour less than half. Just a dumb move on their part. The Ugly - Possibly the WORST service I've ever seen. First of all, our party got seated in the back where it was super dark with super loud music and the furniture seemed better suited for a cheap office boardroom. On top of that, the waiter took about 15 minutes to ask us what we wanted. We had to track him down after we couldn't wait anymore. Then random food is placed on our table even though we haven't even ordered yet. We don't touch the food but it sits on our table for a solid 15-20 minutes before we can get the waiter's attention again. When we inform him that we got food we didn't order, he picks up the food and brings it over to the next table. I'm pretty sure you learn that in Service 101 not to bring food that's already been placed at another table (esp if it's been on there for 15-20 min). We moved ourselves to another table where we continued to not be serviced. We looked around and even though there were plenty of staff and not that many patrons, the staff were busy doing nothing and just standing near the bar chatting with their friends. Even after ordering food and drinks, both took forever to come out. Even though we had 5 people at our table, they only brought out 4 cups so when I asked the waiter for another cup, his response was "why do you need another cup?" STFU and just get me a damn cup. Jeez. There was one female bartender who walked over and chatted with us which was the sole decent thing the staff did all night. Unfortunately, when you're dealing with restaurants, bad service will undoubtedly ruin everything else. But fortunately, bad service can be quickly fixed as opposed to having bad food. If management can replace the waiting staff or put them through a crash course on common sense and how to be a good waiter/server, I could see this place doing well.

This is one of my go-to spots whenever I want to have a casual night out with friends. I'm in love! Around the DMV, if you're trying to go to a bar/lounge/club, parking is usually a nightmare, but you can invite 50 people here and there'll still be enough parking so it's a great place to hold a gettogether. I love the environment here: the waitresses/waiters/bartender/owner are all really nice and friendly. I usually chill around the bar, and I've come to conclude that they know how to make their drinks! The drinks are always made really tasty, and the food is really good here as well. Try the soondubu or the spicy bulgogi (as Raj mentioned). YUM. Oh, and by the way, on Fridays, ladies' cocktails and shooters are 50% off, woohooo! (as of 9/21/2012)

I really wasn't expecting much from this place. But I must say... I was very pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a ghetto Asian bar full of wannabe hardcore Asian teens and pool tables scattered everywhere... all in an old dirty setting with worn-down furniture. I don't really know what triggered that initial expectation, but this restaurant/bar was quite the opposite. First of all, the restaurant was very clean. A huge plus! And the furniture and decor were all pretty new and attractive. The sofa seats were quite comfortable and there were little light designs that really added to the overall pleasant and comfortable ambiance. Second of all, the food wasn't bad. I came one night because I was starving at midnight and was deciding between the usual late night joints like TGIFridays, IHOP, Rockville Pike diners. Unfortunately, I was in the mood for Asian food, but all of the Asian restaurants had already closed. Hence, someone mentioned this place. I was surprised that 1) it wasn't just a bar and 2) their kitchen was open until late.

This place is a prime example of why Korean people have a bad rep. I'm Korean and I went with my three non-Korean friends for dinner on a Friday night. The place was pretty empty. I took my friends here because of a recommendation from my colleague who said the food was pretty good. That was true, the food was good and the portions were good. They got one star for that. I gave them a second star just because the place wasn't filthy with roaches running around. I figure that deserves a star (call me Generous). Now let's get down to the fun part. 1) I have NEVER been to a Korean place that makes you pay for the rice. There was four of us and 2 of the rice was free but if we each wanted a bowl of rice, we'd have to pay extra. I'm betting if we asked for our ban chan to be replenished, they would've charged us extra. 2) They never came by after they dropped off our food. They would only come if we flagged them down while they were busy doing nothing or flat ironing their hair. The only table getting any attention from their all-male waitstaff was a table of 4 Asian girls, where the Asian Jared Leto wanna-be kept bouncing over to them to make them giggle and clap a lot. 3) Turns out Friday night is Ladies Night, which means 50% off drinks. Included are margaritas. My friend decided to get the margarita which arrived in a small glass usually used to serve whiskey/scotch on the rocks. But whatever, if it's half off, not a big deal. WRONG. Apparently, at Cafe2020, a rail margarita 50% off is $7.50, meaning a full-priced rail margarita costs $15.00. 4) They also INCLUDED GRATUITY on our bill when, as I mentioned before, there were FOUR of us. The gratuity they included was well over 15% and there was no mention of this, whatsoever. Which makes me assume they thought we wouldn't look at the bill and would double tip. You can tell the atmosphere of Cafe2020 as soon as you walk in. We knew what we were getting ourselves into but we really enjoy Korean food a lot. Also, we didn't think we'd get this royally fucked over. I was with some really nice people and they didn't realize they were being ripped off but I felt really bad for bringing them here. It's too bad because we would've been coming here every week if it wasn't for the general assholery and sneakiness. Way to exemplify the stereotype, guys!

Like everyone else keeps saying: It's a Korean Bar/Lounge. So, yes, you will see A LOT of Koreans....and they will all look at you when you enter. So don't be intimidated; just work it! I love their Yogurt Soju! Yeah, it's girly, but it's still Soju! I ususally don't order the food, but my friends end up doing so and they all seem to like it. So that's what I'll go by. I did get to try their fries and those were pretty tasty and crunchy! I wish, though, that they would bring back the complimentary popcorn. They always have loud K-Pop blaring from the speakers, but what irks me is that the song on the speakers is a completely different song from the music video on the TV in the back. Also, the random other TVs around usually have news, which can be depressing sometimes. If you go to the bar, be prepared to be incredibly social. The bartenders are always really friendly and fun to have convos with. Even the stranger sitting next to you will also start talking to you. Everyone here just wants to have a good, relaxing time. But be warned, lots of "drama" goes down here. So try to avoid those. Overall, it's an okay place to really relax with some friends if you don't feel like going out to DC.

This Korean "lounge" is a great place to bring friends after a long hard day of work and sit back and have a couple of drinks and grab some food. Honestly a little pricey, BUT that depends on what you order. The food is good, and the quality shows as well as the price ;) The spicy bulgoghi is really good buuutttttt a little expensive. (I pay for it BECAUSE it is good, and like I mentioned earlier its the quality of the food that makes it worth it) The drinks are always good and the atmosphere is even better. I have never been to Korea (yet) but the majority of my Korean friends who I go with say this is what a typical bar/lounge is like in Seoul. The service is actually really good, compared to other Korean restaurants that I have been to in the DMV. Usually the language barrier is a bit of a problem, but a smile is internationally understood and the server comes immediately to take your next request. I gave this place 4 stars because of the price. (NOT COMPLAINING at all as I have a wonderful time every time I go, it just adds up the more you get) (thats to be said with wherever you go, but I always feel that it leaves a little dent in my pockets) FUN and GOOD TIMES were ALWAYS had though :D

This lounge reminds you of a typical Korean lounge that you find in Annandale minus the large crowds. The decor is quite nice (not spectacular) and you wouldnt' quite expect a place in this part of Rockville. I have gone to this place at least 3X now and I have never seen many groups here. Of course, I never go here on Fri and Sat nights b/c I'm always in DC and that may explain some things. The menu here is typical "Korean pub grub". My top recommendation is the Korean style fried chicken. It seasoned with a bit of flavoring (a bit peppery is how I would describe it) and it's a style that you probably won't find anywhere else. (warning: MSG heavy) The do have drink specials (5 beers for $20 and food specials). And if you order a decent amount, they start giving one or two food dishes for free as a "service" (typical of many drinking places at Korean establishments). Last night we drank several bottles of soju, 10ish beers, and ordered two dishes of food and we got a fruit platter for free. Props to them :) Because I never saw large gatherings here..I can only go based on what I heard and it's that the crowds that come here are like the Annandale crowd (the super-"Koreanized" crowd). This place is worth checking out at some point, but I would probably go with a Korean speaker as your experience will be much better than if you didn't go with one (at least for ordering the proper dishes).

I love this place. It's our group's hangout spot. Therefore, this review will be a little biased. The drinks are normal bar price and but the food is surprisingly pretty good. There is usually load Korean or top 40s music playing and sports playing on the TV. The crowd is usually young / young adults. Mostly Koreans. There isn't much lighting so you know how those places are. Go here on a Friday or Saturday night if you like your bars crowded. Enjoy.

My friends and I frequent this place all the time -- it's almost become some sort of unspoken tradition for us. It's a great place to just sit back, relax with good friends, eat, and drink. The food is delicious, but can be a little bit pricey depending on what you get. The alcohol prices are reasonable. Service is pretty good, unlike those other Korean owned places you can go where service is iffy. They're all really nice and willing to inconveniently split the checks however many times you want (lol). It's also great since this place is in Rockville, conveniently located and never obnoxiously packed like bars in D.C. and Bethesda. It's definitely a great place to start off the night or just kick it with friends. I highly recommend this place if you and your friends just need a location to chill.

It's a Korean bar. The first I've ever been to. We came after dinner with a group of people for a friend's birthday. The shots and drinks are good. The atmosphere is good. Think I'd visit again if I was in the area.

I never venture into Maryland so I don't know too much of what is on the other side. I have recently made friends in Maryland now so there are reasons to go over that bridge. One of my friends took me to 20/20 because it was late and he usually hangs out there a few times a month. This place is open late and serves Korean dishes. What I like about this place is that it is very relaxed. There is no rush and the both times I have been here it wasn't super crowded. My friend did inform me that it gets packed during the weekends but I have not yet experienced that. The first night I was there I got some yummy strawberry soju and my friend and I ordered the spicy rice cakes and spicy sausage. Both of them were not bad. The only thing is that the rice cakes were really big, which I'm not use to at all. The portions were pretty nice and the waiter was super honest about what he liked on the menu and what he personally thought wasn't the best choices. The second time I came, I was with a group and service was still good and this time we tried the spicy chicken and it was really good. Over all this place is a cool place but it's not over the top wonderful and somewhere I would really rave about. It's great for a late night snack and some strawberry soju.

this is a place to go if you want to be loud and drunk lol. its in a back shopping center, cant see this place from the main road. very isolated. a whole parking lot basically to itself. drinks are pretty pricey, not many if any specials. the food is good though. staff isnt too attentive to the ones sitting at the tables, more so towards the ones at the bar

I absolutely love this place. My friends and I frequently come to this place that it has literally become the spot we hangout or a place that we start the night with. The owner Liz is super nice and treats customers with good services and respect. It has great food and the prices for drinks aren't that expensive. We usually like to chill at the bar, but once in awhile if we have a lot of people, we would get a table. The servers are all laid back and have become friends with us over the past year. I would come back here again and again and again!

We called in advance and were told the kitchen closed at 1:30am and that it would be fine for us to order if we got to the restaurant by that time. We told them we had a group of 12 on the way. We got there at 1:20am and they apologized saying the kitchen was closed and they made a mistake. Thanks a lot.

A Korean restaurant/ lounge at night. Chill place if you wanna eat and drink. Can sit at the bar or table. The bench seats at the table are pretty low so the food is close to your face, you'll feel short sitting there and your friends sitting on normal chairs. They play popular korean and american music with korean pop videos on tv. Food: Fried rice was pretty good. Just like any other fried rice, but a bit sweeter, kind of a tomato taste to it. Had the ox tail stew, that was pretty good, kinda spicy. Noodles were good. Chicken gizzard were also good. They're tougher so don't get it if you don't wanna chew. A bit bland so dip it in the sauce. Tofu soup was ok, the tofu was in tiny pieces and broken up rather than the more firm tofu that I'm used to. Majority of food isn't spicy. Everything is pretty good, food takes a while for it to get out. Service is pretty good, pretty empty when I go (early dinner time). Gets more crowded at night when people come in to drink. Some people dress up to impress people by the bar, others don't care and are just there to have a good time and eat with friends. Gets noisier as more people come in at night.

christ this place has been around forever. When i was a wee child it was nul bum, then it was options when i was in college, now as an ahjushee it's 20/20. The clientele is still the same too. Young and Korean, skewing towards the fobby. Someone else said it best, this is not a place you're going to eat, this is where you go to drink. It handles that part pretty well, although i would prefer if they had some beer on tap. But, you can get soju and some of the food is pretty decent. I had a dhuk bhuk kee type dish w/ noodles and monstrous pieces of dhuk in a sweet and spicy sauce that was decent. Also the old standby from the option days, squid and vegetables in the same spicy sweet sauce (ohjingho bokum). Fair warning, being a drinking place it gets pretty damn gross the later the night gets. As in floor being constantly mopped and all kinds of unspeakable horror going on in the bathroom. The waitresses and bartenders are all attractive and young, making me feel a bit like a dirty old man for even mentioning it. Just as an aside Koreans really need to standardize the romanization of their writing like the Japanese do... just saying.

I'm not korean but I always seem to enjoy myself here. Thats cause it's ALWAYS more fun to be eating and drinking than to do either alone. It's a hot spot since there really aren't enough bar/cafe hybrids around. On top of that, this place is chill...wear jeans and a tee or wear a dress and knee high boots. Whatever. I also don't mind that it's korean cause I prefer to pair my carbombs with kimchi jigae and seafood pancake over chili cheese fries anyway. That being said, I always go with koreans so that might make things a bit more comfortable. So korean aside, it's got a decent menu of late night food, including your usual appetizers like onion rings, fries, etc. Prices are really fair. Bar is fully stocked plus some extra goodies like yogurt soju. Match that with a round of carbombs and you can't go wrong.

My friend and I had a great time...the waiters were cute...especially, the new one, named Jenny. Obviously mostly Asians there but it was cool atmosphere. :-) Would go back again :-)

It's hard to find a chill asian lounge around here, and 20/20 is open late, ridiculously ample parking, offers american appetizers (onion rings, fries, popcorn shrimp), yummy korean dishes, awesome flavored soju cocktail (comes in a big pitcher with shots to share), comfy seating, and cozy atmosphere (dark, mostly empty). They also have a full bar, and karaoke. Service is friendly and polite. On the downside, my experiences there have varied from blah to great due to factors like the menu and cost. Don't expect them to have everything on the menu, but you can always depend on the appetizers and alcohol. Portion size here is average, one order will probably feed two people tops. Business is often slow for them, but this place has good potential being one of the few of its kind around moco. They should really step up on their menu, decrease the prices, and do something about the weird table-chair balance (most tables come with chairs and these cushiony-sofa-type chairs..problem is, sofa is comfy but kinda low, and chairs are less comfy but right size with the table. Had to mention this cuz it always bothers the heck out of me. Friday and sat nights they turn on disco type lights and blast up the music clubbing-style. anyways it's nice for a quiet night out with a few close friends, and especially if you don't want to go outside of MoCo for nightlife

I personally like this place a lot. The food is very good overall. They have the best Nakji SoMyun I've ever tasted. And their Gam Ja Tang is great too. They also have a Spicy Chicken BBQ dish that is also very good. There was only one dish I was really disappointed with and that was the Jjol Myul. A good choice for late night Korean food since their kitchen closes when they do. They have a full bar. Prices for drinks are average. They recently lower their price for Soju to $9.99 due to competition. They have a wide variety of flavor Soju cocktails if you're into that thing. They also have many specials such as happy hours, lady's nights, and, etc. Service is great and the staff is friendly. Weather you choose to get a table or sit at the bar. I frequently speak with the owner and he is very friendly. Feel free to strike up a conversation. Some people complain of the ambiance, but I personally love it. Yes the Karaoke can get annoying at time with drunken tone deaf performers, but most of the time it is quite entertaining. Plus, their policy is to give more music time vs Karaoke. I'd say 15 minutes of Karaoke and then 30 minutes of music. The table are quite comfy with sofa-esque seats and everything is clean and new looking. I love this place more than I intended to. What makes this place so like-able are definitely the staffs here. I find myself occasionally, like once a week--at least! driving to Rockville, MD just to drop by Cafe 2020. It's a Korean bar and grill located in a strip that is away from everything else, so finding it may be a bit difficult for first timers. I really enjoy coming here for some soju with friends and ordering my favorite Gamjatang, which is a stew made with spicy broth, carrots, potatoes, and pork. I crave for this stew all the time, I'm addicted! it's their specialty entree and it's the best Gamjatang I've had and I truly believe no other place can compare. period. They hire DJs on the weekends to come and play majority house music. The environment definitely attracts a younger crowd of people, although there are older professionals who drop by for Happy Hour. They have a full bar of almost every liquor you can imagine. The bartenders and waiters are the most friendly batch of staffs I've met. I have yet to leave disappointed with my service here. Every now and then, I'll see the owner have customers try new dishes they plan on serving and added onto their menu, if they receive enough positive reviews. I think this is a great way to expand menus with entrees that are most liked by consumers. Also, this place opens until late! great place for late night eats. Ask for their free Wi-Fi pass-code. They have drinks with food specials almost every day of the week, but it varies day-to-day, so I can't exactly say what their specials are. However, I do know that Fridays are ladies night; 50% off all cocktails and shooters! Hello to Girls Night Out. FYI: they are CLOSED on MONDAYS! I've learned it the hard way.

Small little restaurant. They moved from the larger space next store. It's been so long since I visited this restaurant but it has the same vibe but on a smaller scale. As you walk in the DJ is to the right and he played music that made you just want to dance. The tong dak (whole fried chicken) hit the spot with soju and beer. The dried fish and nuts was a bit salty but again compliments the drinks.

Cafe 20/20 is a friendly and nice bar & restaurants. Owner Liz is super nice and friendly. Check her fb, there are daily discounts updating everyday.( cafetwentytwenty.liz@yah… ) If you like Korean music, Korean people, this is the place. Alcohols, foods are cheap, people are friendly. Ask waiters & Liz for food recommandations!
