I never used to visit Mars because I thought it looked dirty. Truthfully speaking. My husband would always tell me to shop there but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I decided to go one day and it's really not that bad. The prices are awesome. The produce is fresh. My only gripe is that the store is badly in need of some upgrades. I know that entire shopping center is a little dated, but instead of building Wegmans further down Reisterstown Rd....do you think it's possible we can get some upgrades? The staff is always friendly, and the shelves always stocked. Is that because no ones shopping there? Lol... I'll be visiting Mars again this weekend...but hope they decide to upgrade the Market soon.

After coming from an intense gym without i decided to stop by this store for a snack. I've never been to Mars but I figured it should have plenty of snacks. Upon entering the store I noticed it looked very small and clean. The shelves were fully stocked and there were no merchandises misplaced or falling over each other. Theres not a lot of things to choose from compared to a weis market or a Sams club but there's enough to keep you contemp. What I didn't like are the prices. Usually when I go grocery shopping there are deals marked everywhere but inside this store nothing was marked down or was on sale. The prices for simple snacks seemed excessive and I normally would not pay for it but I was really craving it so I decided to buy it anyway. Although I got my snack fix I won't be coming back due to their lack of variety and high prices.

While the selection isn't as extensive as Giant, the prices are much better. Good meat department, deli has some unique items and great prices. Glad I followed a friends advice. Also you don't need to register for a card in order to take advantage of the prices! Really like that

If you are looking for a place with a friendly staff and Managers that speak to customers on purpose then avoid Mars at all costs!! A few weeks ago my wife called to complain because we had 2 gallons of Milk go sour a week before their due date. When she called the number on their website the lady she spoke to told her we dont keep our fridge cold enough...... And then gave my wife a lecture on how it was our problem and not theirs. Both my wife and my self have worked in the food biz while in college and just after as she was working on her Masters degree. We keep our fridge temp in the low 30's just above freezing during the hot days of summer for sure. So I did a little checking my self. I brought my lazer thermometer into the store and got several reference points. The average temp in the store was 75F. I observed as dairy was slowly being restocked. Milk whole, 2%, 1%, Half & Half, and heavy cream all sat out of the cooler for about 45mins and was allowed to warm up before being cooled again. After the Milk was stocked I checked the temp 5 times. The highest temp reading was 48 and the lowest was 38. Ice cream also sits out of the freezer for long periods of time at Mars. Fresh products and good customer service are not their priorities. If you want to get sick from spoiled food then shop at Mars. If you want to keep your family safe and healthy shop somewhere else.

I frequently find myself at this Mars because it is on my way home from work and I don't have to make any extreme detours when I would rather be home. It is not my primary grocery store but the one we go to for just a few things here and there. Overall the store is pretty much your standard grocery store fare. Not a huge selection of international foods or specialty items. They do have my almond milk though, so there's that. The things that I do like about this store are the generally friendly staff, the fact that they have a credit union friendly ATM and a customer service window with other helpful services (EZPass anyone?). The outstanding thing about this store is the bakery. My husband is a fan of Krispy Kreme but since all the nearby ones closed he goes to Mars every Sunday for his fix. I have picked up cupcakes and sheet cakes on occasion and they are always very fresh and delicious. My main grocery store is Giant and then MOMS and Roots and Wegman for the specialty vegan stuff we eat. I hate going to Wegmans by the way, too big! I

This store is the closest to my apartment and always has great sales. When working on a budget that is a great thing. The store definitley needs some upgrades but overall serves the needs as it is a grocery store.

Good prices for some items. They don't have nearly the amount of products as Giant. Produce dept is awful. The older cashiers are VERY slow and talk too much to the regular customers while everyone stands in line waiting for their precious conversation ends. The younger cashiers are much better. The greatest thing happened a few weeks ago while I was there, you're gonna love this: they had no fresh chicken breast in stock. I asked the employee if they had any chicken breasts in the back and the guy said "no we ain't got none because nobody that comes here likes white meat"

Every week they have about 6 items that are usually a super deal. You don't need a shopper's card to take part on their specials. The deli meat sales seem to be among the lowest in area. Produce selection is decent. Watch out for the fine print when selecting sales, they've charged me full price for both products when mixing and matching my bread for a buy 1 get 1 free deal (they were both the same price). Just keep an eye out on the receipt! The cashiers are relatively friendly.

Having lived in the Reisterstown area for two decades I have shopped at different supermarkets over the years but I have consistently shopped at Mars for their good prices. From time to time I have tried out other stores but my regular store has always been Mars and my family and I have been very pleased with them.

This place reeked of rotting meat and spoiled dairy. I have no idea how anyone could stand being there for more than a few moments.
