I found this place by simply entering "Mexican Food"in the yelp search engine and I'm so glad I did! It's a great hole in the wall! I got the steak burrito supreme #2 and you could instantly tell every ingredient was fresh! They also have homemade Horchata which in my experience is hard to find and that to was excellent. If you're in the area and you want something different than Chipotle I highly recommend this place..I will be back!

Such a random spot. I can't even tell you where in the world this place is because my sense of direction is non existent. But the food was authentic and hot. I had fajitas he had papusas and a burrito. The guy next to is had a full fish head included. Impressive. They are also a big on deserts and catering. This place isnt much to look at and its only about 6 tables but that shouldn't deter you from coming and getting a good bite to eat

Looking for good El Salvadorian food in the Owings Mills area? This is the spot! Great food, good prices. Family atmosphere. The flank steak with shrimp is yummylicious. Yeah I made that word up. No alcohol served here though. The food is would be great with a cerveza or 3 at the very least. The food is cooked fresh to order so expect a reasonable wait. All four courses available and I have yet to be disappointed.

Ordered Shrimp Enchiladas and Banana bread not really impressed, the best thing was the fresh tortilla chips. My enchiladas were empty probably because it was shrimp because my sister ordered chicken and had it was stuffed.

The nachos had a nasty taste, the set up is really different, but the steak on top the nachos were perfect...will not be back

Awesome!! The pork chops are the bomb my favorite. My wife loves all there tacos with their guacamole!! The chimichanga was huge and full of chicken enough for lunch the next day. And its also BYOB:). Great food for the $$.

Has authentic Latin Food. Chips Were Crispy and served hot. Steak Chimichanga was very good. The decor feels like the inside of a bus station though. It needs wall papers of tall Coconut Trees and Ocean.

Very accommodating and reasonably priced. Not a huge veggie selection but open to modifications.

This place is amazing! I honestly have no complaints! Delicious food( exceeded my expectations) great service, fast and attentive! Got the burrito especial, amazing, I asked for jalapeños in mine and they were so fresh and delicious. it came with rice guacamole, sour cream and fresh pico de gallo. The prices are awesome as well! I am really glad we found this place since the restaurants around here ( in my opinion, are pretty bad) we will definitely be back soon!

El Paraiso has great authentic latin food, mostly from Mexico and El Salvador. The skirt (flank) steak and shrimp combo is delicious! Don't forget to try the "the tres leches" cake. I am giving it only 4 stars because the place has 5 tables which hold about 5 people per table. So the restaurant is full with 25 people. Other than that...the service and the food are outstanding!

Some of the best food I've had in Owings Mills hands down. You can't beat the flavors in the Tacos al la Mexicana, burrito al la Mexicana, the guac is simple, fried plantains are perfect. It's a little "hole in the wall" joint but those are always the best.

Love this place. We pick up food here every other week. They always have our food ready quickly and it's fresh and hot. My husband gets the enchiladas verdes every single time. I like to switch it up and have never had a bad meal. The burrito supreme #2 is simple and good. The camarones en crema is also very good. They serve this stuff that I would almost liken to cole slaw with the pupusas and I crave both regularly. No clue what it is called but it's tasty!

Tried it for lunch today. Had: queso dip (luke warm melted yellow velvetta chese) - not good. carnitas tacos - not good lengua guisada - would be good if the tongue wouldn't be SO salty. tres leches - quite good The service was nice, the ambiance was nice and clean, but the taste of the food was not good enough to make us think we will be back. Might be it's a good Salvadorian cuisine, but it's not "our cup of tea'" as they say.

I love this place! It's a small diner, next door to the Chinese carryout we use to go to all the time (the Chinese food sucks now). I ordered the grilled pork chops and my Husband ordered the chicken burrito (which was huge). I loved the pork chops, they were seasoned and cooked to perfection. I even dreamed about them several days later. The reason for the 4 stars, the dining room was very small and dark, we went around 5 in the afternoon. There was only carry out takers, but plenty of orders. If they would brighten it up a bit, it would make the environment better. But, either way, I'm going back.

This was one of those "Hey, let's check this place out for lunch" type of stops. Boy, are we glad we did! We were the only non-Hispanics in the restaurant, which immediately bode well for our anticipation. We weren't let down. We split a pupusa, and then each had the steak tacos. To say that the food was 'good' would be an understatement. It was great, and as authentic as it gets. Besides our meal being fantastic, the plates that were coming out of the kitchen for the other diners were amazing to see. A whole fried Tilapia, a golden roasted chicken, lobster...... Will definitely be back!

My husband tries every Mexican place nearby and this is just not a very good one. Nothing specifically wrong just not very flavorful. Meh is my overall feeling towards this place.

Another good, small, authentic, Mexican eatery. Everything here seems fresh and homemade. Service is a little spotty but honestly, this type of setting doesn't require much in the way of service anyway. The food more than makes up for anything else. Also, the prices can't be beat.

I like the food at this place and we've been there a couple of times, however they recently decided to stop honoring restaurant.com certificates. I understand not allowing people to buy new certificates, but not honoring certificates people have already spent money on is bad business. No thanks.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
