I can't believe no one has rated this yet. This is a Randallstown institution, and well worth a 30 minute drive if you are into German stuff. This place is Old School German, if you can speak German try it on the staff. Many of them are fluent. You can get fresh Gelbwust sliced to order, Landjaeger, awesome Wursts of all kinds made in Baltimore (the Weisswurst is fantastic), just about anything you would normally get in a small store in Germany. Their deli sandwiches are really really good and the prices can't be beat. Their Powerhouse sandwich is the best I've ever eaten. They sell great German beer at prices below any liquor stores in the area, and they bake their own amazing cookies and breads. This place is one of the reasons I like living in the area.

Old World Deli is one of my favorite places to go. They have a nice selection of subs and sandwiches, as well as other deli food. I would recommend calling in any food order. Depending on the time you order the food, I would also recommend picking it up. When I wanted them to deliver the food, I was told that it could take anywhere from 20 minutes to up to an hour. Pretty understandable though, since it is lunch time and their food is pretty good. The price is around $5-7 for a sandwich, but you will be happy with the food. And the service.

I normally visit this deli because of the variety of deli products such as head cheese that cannot be found anywhere else. The last two times that I was there the employees seemed very indifferent such as eating while waiting on me and posting the incorrect price on the scale and needed to be corrected. The mistaken meat was put on the scale and when told of that said " they didn't realize it was the wrong meat". I told the cashier about this incident and she didn't seemed disturbed by this and did not offer an apology. I am developing a concern about continuing to patronize this store.

Come here quite often but I always forget to check in so anyway Old World Deli is one of my favorite places to come for a great Italian cut sub. The staff is friendly and the food is always fresh. They also have good desserts. The deli is clean and in the summertime you can sit outside and eat. The prices are very reasonable and I hope it stays that way. I haven't had anything bad from here that's why I keep coming back so... if you're in the mood for some fresh kosher food then this deli is the place to go.

The sandwiches and the food were great; however, the service was the worst I've ever had. The two men behind the deli were short with me and very rude. They snapped "what else do you want" in a mean tone and rushed my order. The women at the pay area were also short with me and didn't smile or make eye contact. I felt like I shouldn't be there. And asking for the bathroom was the worst, they just pointed and when I had to ask again where they yelled. Very uncomfortable experience. My friend felt the same. It's a shame to be so rude to your customers.

I ordered a party platter and when I went to pick it up. It took 10 minutes for them to finally help me. When they did go get my order they forgot the rolls and bickered that they weren't included until the other coworker pointed out the rolls WERE included AND we waiting for pickup at the bakery counter. The food is good, but the service is slow and sporadic as they tend to hire folks with disabilities. I will use them again, but bear in mind that you need to allow at least a half hour extra than the time you want to pick it up because of the SLOW service.

First of all, the customer service her is stellar. There is a great variety of imported deli meats, cheeses, sausages, bacon, etc. Fresh baked breads and pastries baked on the premises. The danishes and struedel are the best that I ever had! Imported gourmet pantry items. But, most important are the fantastic sandwiches and subs! They are made on their own breads! If you buy anything here get a sandwich! They also make homemade soups, salads, entrees, etc

Heard a great word of mouth recommendation about this place & so made the 30 minute + drive on a Saturday to check it out: it did not disappoint. We selected many different cookies, pastries and small cakes as a sampler, and also some bologna & brats. The cookies were gone before we even made it home, and the pastries & cakes didn't make it through the weekend. All were heavenly, and the bologna, of course, puts that oscar meyer crap to shame. Can't go back on that one. The people in the store were friendly and helpful, but the strip mall is, as my daughter put it, "sketchy." Don't let this deter you, because it's what's on the inside that counts.

Decided to stop here for lunch with one of my friends. The sandwich was fabuloys everything tasted fresh and though it wasn't cheap it as doable. I did not have a chance to try anything at the bakery. I was impressed but not overwhelmed by the good amount of German beer. I wish they would tear down one of the other shitty stores and make an area for people to eat. The location is pretty bad. I sat outside with my friend and watched a man walk back and forth trying to sell drugs to people. I should have punched him in the face.

Just moved into the area, and thank the gods for this little place. Sandwiches and pastries are delicious, inexpensive and awesome. At first intimidated by the entirely underwhelming stripmall which houses Old World, I pressed on, trusting in a WoM recommend from my landlady. This is now a standby and saving grace.

I am from Florida, and have not been able to find the quality of the sausages in Jacksonville that my sister finds at this shop. During this visit, I have already had their weisswurst and knockwurst, both of which are top knotch. I have come this trip loaded with a cooler and icepacks ready to "load up" for my familys' Octoberfest celebration. I hope they don't run out before I can get there.

The "Cleopatra" sandwich is TO-DIE-FOR, if you're going here, you have to get it. The cakes are delicious as are the pastries, sandwiches are made fresh, and prices are reasonable. The little food selection here is also nice, various drinks, chips, snacks, candies, etc.

My family and I have been going to Old World Deli since I was a kid. GREAT lunch meats, pastries, bagels, and lox. Sandwiches are well-priced too--can't beat a delicious Italian cold cut for $5. Call in during the lunch hour, as they can get very crowded. I recommend you splurge for the Kosher pickle.

I wish I could spend a day learning the subtle differences between all the choices behind the glass. I'm certainly not educated enough on this establishment's offerings to write an informed review but I DO know that their meat counter seems to have endless selection and I can count on this place to always have natural-casing hot dogs in stock (mmmmm). I've never gotten a bad sandwich here and the pastries are always fantastic too. I like to browse the shelves just to see what interesting imported goods they have.
