We had Tally Ho delivered to our swim club, and while my expectations were somewhat low based on the enormity of their menu and mixed reviews, every element of our meal was delicious, and delivery was so fast. I highly recommend the gyro salad. It was delicious, and the gyro meat seemed shaved (not frozen). The chicken tenders and fries entree (which we got for the kids) was a huge portion, and the chicken salad sandwich looked great. Will definitely order again! For pool delivery AND home delivery!

Really, Really, Really bad response to their own mistake. Mom should not be allowed on the phone as she's just lost a customer who has been with them for a long time. I manage a home for a family in Potomac and I ordered two pizzas at 6pm, one with sausage, one plain cheese. The pizzas arrived and were put in the warming drawer for the kids. When opened at 7pm, there was one cheese and one with tomato, mushroom, spinach, and pepperoni? I phoned and spoke to the son who offered to send the right pizza, I explained that the kids had already eaten the cheese pizza and were likely done for the evening and I would be happier to come into Tally Ho on Monday and get a refund on the wrong pizza as, by the time the replacement would arrive, it simply wouldn't make sense. At this suggestion I was put on hold for a minute and then picked up by Rula who decided I was not being truthful and said she would be sending the proper sausage pizza and would need to pick up the wrong one so she "would know what happened". I doubt that it was going to take CSI to figure this out but I told my staff at the house to be ready to give them back the untouched multi topping pizza put the pizza in the fridge. Fast forward to 8:44pm,the driver finally arrives with the correct pizza and picks up the one they mistakenly sent to us. At this point I am slightly agitated that a staff member who was supposed to off at 8pm has had to stick around until 8:45 when it would have been soooooooo much simpler to just refund me for one pizza on Monday so I decide to call Tally Ho and express my frustration. I start again with the son and when I finally get down to the fact that Rula's insistence that they pick up the wrong pizza was essentially calling me a liar, he hands the phone off to Rula herself. She proceeded to go on about how "people try this all the time" and that it her right to demand the wrong pizza back. Never mind that pizzas ordered and delivered by 6:15 weren't actually done correctly until 8:45? Sad, I used to go in at least once a week for a couple slices at lunch and we used to order for the family regularly but to have to tolerate someone deciding that I am trying to screw them over for $13.99? Really really really sad and I hope that she's not teaching her son this method of customer service.

Love this restaurant! Great food and customer service too. When I mentioned that I had never tasted their pizza, they gave us a free one. It was delicious! They're known for their pizza, and I can see why!

I've been going to tally ho for years now and I truly believe they have the 'heartiest' pizza. I love the thickness of the toppings and the overall taste of their pizza. My only complaints are that it can be a little on the expensive side and inside of the restaurant itself isn't anything beautiful but it's outweighed heavily by the most important thing - the taste of their pizza.

Just had lunch there today with my two year old son... I had a Congressional burger, which was excellent and Little Junes had a hot dog, which came split in a hero bun rather than a hot dog bun, but the little guy scarfed it all up anyway. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be doing OK with good looking sandwiches. In my tradition of doing a drawing whenever the staff brings Little Junes some crayons, I left them two masterpieces...

Oh glad I left this restaurant. I ordered Gyro and it was cold. I wasn't complaining I was just being quiet. I didn't finish my lunch coz it was awful. The server was rude she asked me to push my chair in like I am a little kid she said she can't pass through. That was a first I said I'll just move and all the customers was looking at me saying what was that all about? All the restaurant I have been they went around the table if they think they have to. Potomac Pizza is still the best. Servers are really friendly there.

Lots of variety on the menu, reasonable priced for the quality of the food and location. All day breakfast menu. The scrapple was not for my pallet. Lamb and baklava was good. Pizzas are excellent as well as their special pricing, buy one get the second for $2.99, on Monday's and Tuesday's.

Let me clarify that two stars is not a reflection of food quality, rather the price. I came on a weekday morning with my granddaughter for breakfast. First, there is no kids menu for breakfast. Not too big a deal as my granddaughter will eat nearly anything, so I ordered her one egg and sausage. Let me repeat: ONE egg and sausage. The price? $8.95! Then an additional $3.95 for a very small glass of orange juice. My two eggs with bacon was $9.95. People, I don't mind paying a little more if I'm getting gourmet food or dining in a classy establishment, but this is a strip mall, mom and pop diner and those prices are absolutely ridiculous!

Owner yells at the wait staff ... a slice of pizza and soda was something like $100 ... and the subs had one slice of meet ... but honestly it was pretty good!

You don't go to Tally Ho for the service. Even the owners can be rude. The gyros and the greek salad with gyro meat are an excellent meal for the price - I mean there is a lot of food and it is basically good. Their prices have been rising steadily for the last several years but their lamb dinners are generally still excellent. Their pastas are tasty with a decent sauce and more than enough for two lunches with leftovers. It ain't haute cuisine, but it is a good basic restaurant.

The quality of meat in their steak sub and hamburger tasted like the frozen stuff you can buy at any grocery store. Did not taste good.

Note - I've only eaten breakfast here. Food was fine - nothing extraordinary on the menu. Tasted fine - could have made it better (& faster) in my own kitchen! Service was pretty lackluster - no one seemed to care if we were happy or not. Ambiance was seriously lacking. I'd go back for breakfast, not because it's good, but because there really is a very sad number of breakfast places out there.

Tally Ho. Ha. Im shocked theyre able to pay the rent every month, given how expensive real estate is in the Potomac Village, and how it's never really busy. The pizza? I go back and forth on it. Sometimes I think it's really good, sometimes I think it sucks. Truth be told, I haven't had the pizza here in probably like 5 years. I do know the thin crust with sausage is (was) pretty good. It's fine if you need some early morning dinerish breakfast. I went over the weekend and got an egg white omelet with turkey, cheese, and broc. No complaints. The potatoes are actually pretty good (fresh chopped onions give it a nice kick).

I come here for breakfast and it is packed all the time...I enjoy the freshness of the food and the fresh squeezed juice. Overall a decent local place for breakfast and wings for lunch.

We had a gyro and a veggie wrap. Both wraps were so overstuffed that it was impossible to pick them up. We removed half of the filling and then succeeded. My veggie wrap was sitting in a pool of liquid. Yuck. My dinner partner removed half the lamb from the gyro and as she picked up the rest and turned it, a stream of liquid-like sauce came streaming out the side. I guess we didn't order the right thing because the kitchen looked extremely busy. Almost no one was seated so they must do a great take out business. I just need to find out what food they actually make well. The tables and chairs don't match. I not talking decor. Rather, the chairs are so wide and the tables so skinny that your arm and leg are sticking out in the aisle. Despite all my complaints, the food was tasty. Just don't expect anything more than a quality diner and you won't be disappointed.

I love Tally Ho! Here in Potomac we have VERY limited restaurant choices, so its awesome that Tally ho's menu is very extensive and can please any member of the family. Personally, I LOVE their pizza- its heavenly and usually my choice. It is literally my favorite pizza in the world. But their subs and pasta are delicious as well. It's family owned and that adds a definite charm. I've been addicted for over ten years! It's a casual place, you can eat at a table or carry out. They have some delicious homemade desserts and recently started carrying cupcakes!!! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone hungry!

I used to go to this place when I would pick up my granddaughter from school.let me tell you about my latest experience.I saw they had meat loaf and mashed potatoes as a anew item on the blackboard.I ordered and it was good it cost 9dollars.a 73 year old co worker said she would love to have some comfort food, so we went back this time we ordered same thing and they charged 18dollars, the owner wasn't around when I complained and they didn't have a price on the menu, went back again to complain to owner and she basically said her trusted counter girl could name the price and didn't apologize.I asked then price the day I talked to owner it was again 9dollars. My friend ordered a Greek salad that had 1olive and no feta. Service is very poor cashier shouts at you from counter to ask your order. No More Tally Ho For Me.1 star.

Point blank, this is not a service with a smile type restaurant. Tally Ho has been in the Village for years and the owners and employees do not feel as if they have anything to prove- they've definitely been around the block quite a few times. Generally, I have a rapport with the employees and/or owner of a store (especially if I like the product) but I don't stop in here too regularly/haven't made that big of an impression. I have never tried anything else besides the pizza. Why you ask? Because it's fantastic and I'm a creature of habit. The Veggie Pizza is straight up delish- I'm talking whole veggies, none of this skimpy topping crap. Whole, juicy tomato slices, thick cut peppers, broccoli, and mushrooms, and some onion slices- it's a wonderful sight. Not heavy on the sauce and the cheese is gooey yet not overpowering. Exactly the way I feel a tasty pizza should be!

Tally ho is great I love going there for breakfast! The French toast rocks and the placemats are super entertainig to draw on while you wait, it's a treasure of the village

OK food, Generous portions, but Bad service. I work in the area and have been here plenty times. We usually order in group here. We have had a couple of mishaps with the order being incorrect but that's not as bad as having to deal with a particular rude woman that works there. She has the worst attitude and hates her life. However the food is good. So don't be discouraged because she's nasty over the phone. Just make sure she's got the order down right lol. Fried chicken sandwich, turkey sandwich, breakfast sandwiches, gyros, and the grilled chicken sandwiches are some favorites of ours.

On Monday my wife and her fellow teachers from a local elementary school ordered lunch from Tally Ho. They delivered the order however it was missing an ordered item which was clearly on the receipt. My wife called and they said they would send over the missing item in 20 minutes. After about an hour when the missing item had still not arrived, my wife called back and they said driver had not returned. The missing item finally arrived 2 hours late. My wife called again and spoke to owner's son, he acknowledged the error and was disappointed to learn they were not impressed with the food. He promised to make things right and earn their business and offered to refill the order for free the following Friday. That Friday my wife called and asked for the son as he directed, and spoke with the owner. The owner refused to honor their promise. He instead offered a $15 discount. When my wife pressed him to honor their original promise, he rudely responded that he didn't care if they ever ordered from Tally Ho again and hung up. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Did a quick lunch stop here with a few coworkers. They recommended the tuna melt so I went with that. It wasn't bad but the tuna lacked sufficient seasoning. There are many other options including burgers and pizza so you might skip the tuna melt here and go with another option. To date the best tuna melt I've ever had was in the El Cortez in Las Vegas, NV. I know that's a loooongg way from Maryland but if you're ever in Vegas, don't miss Cafe Cortez' tuna melt! (see my separate review for that restaurant and casino). Now back to Maryland... There are also many dessert options here and a small bakery. It's a very casual place but it is a "sit down" establishment so if you grab a seat at one of the many tables, a server will come right out to you. Despite the several reviews I read about rude customer service, I did not encounter any. Granted this was my only visit to Tally Ho, but my experience with the staff was all positive on my one and only trip. I'd probably come back if business brought me close again. But otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way. This is a dash & eat type spot.

The pizza is actually good, but this was demoted to two stars due to poor service. I have been here twice in the past two weeks and have had bad experiences both times. The first time, we had a very long wait for food (the restaurant was basically empty) and we were not checked up on for refills on drinks. I decided to let this one slide at first. I figured, okay, I'm sick right now... so that's probably why I'm cranky about waiting for food and waiting even longer for a refill on my tea. Fine. The next time I went was with the girl that I babysit for. This time, our waitress was very sassy. My babysitee (is that a word?) asked for half spicy wings and half non-spicy wings, only to get a scoff from the waitress and an, "I'll see if that's okay with the chef." Finally, when we were all done, we were waiting patiently for the check. The girl that I babysit for asked for the check from the waitress, who was sitting behind the counter. The waitress rolled her eyes and said to get the check from the counter. Now, I've been here before and I've had waitresses bring the check to the table...so there was no reason to have this sass, not to mention the eye roll. Rude. VERY disappointed with the service at this place. They're lucky that the food is good.

I live a block from Tally Ho, and when i was in high school and younger, I went to Tally Ho all the time. Mostly take out or delivery (yea, im lazy), but i have eaten inside, mostly with friends. When i was younger, I'm sure I didn't care about the quality of service or even the mediocre quality of their food, but having been back since, it really needs to be documents how horrible their service is. I mean just awful. They used to have a great special for a sub, fries and drink for $6.19, its around $9 now. Those were the days. The pizza also was pretty damn cheap and then I loved it, as it was superior to chain pizza. Now, i wouldn't touch that crap with a giant pizza spatula. The place is owned by a local greek family and so they have gyro, souvlaki etc. The food is average, the price is "fair" for the expensive Potomac Village, but in general, i will stay clear of this place.

Breakfast was adequate. My poached eggs on English muffin were correctly runny, but the thin slabs of sausage were somewhat greasy. Lukewarm water served with teabag on side was replaced after my request for really hot water. Home fries were bland. Wife's eggs with cheese was ok. Coffee was tasty.

If you are going to a restaurant for good food- and not whether the waitress rolls her eyes or the chairs are a bit small- indeed, if you are going because you want to eat at a casual neighborhood place with a lot of choices for a reasonable price, Tally Ho is great. Its pizza is better than its competitor's across the street. Because it is casual, the help staff is generally young and they might not be on the level of Miss Manners- but who cares? The food is tasty . And did I say how good their pizza is?
