Great variety of bagels and delicious sandwiches. I am not a coffee drinker, but absolutely love their ice coffee in the warmer weather. Staff is friendly, efficient it the store is always clean. Easy access off 695 to grab a quick delicious meal.

I'm a big fan of Goldberg's but I had to check this place out based solely on all the very positive reviews. Honestly, I don't see myself coming back and here's why: 1) 15 mins to get a toasted bagel with nova spread to go - what? It wasn't crazy busy, they somehow filled the to-go order of the lady who came in minutes after me, and the staff acted like it was no big deal to skip over orders. 2) The longer I stood waiting for my order, the more I noticed how dirty the place was. (See my added photos) Granted Goldberg's isn't spotless either, but you don't have old coffee grinds sitting in an uncovered trash can out in front of the self serve coffee station with a broom beside it. It looked and more importantly smelled foul. 3) My bagel and spread were fine; better than a typical store bought but not the best. The bagel had good flavor but wasn't as thick and chewy as I would have liked. I also thought the nova flavor in the cream cheese was fairly mild. I think I'm sticking with my tried and true bagel place down the street...

I've been interested in trying a bagel with cream cheese and lox for the longest time. I love all 3 ingredients separately and figured it was time to try this infamous breakfast! Prior to a week ago, I would have never thought twice about the name of this place. But after watching one of those travel channel foodie shows, I learned that Brooklyn is known for the best bagels simply because they use the city water to make them. Not sure if this place "imports" Brooklyn water, but the name is next level foodie and I dig it. I ordered a poppyseed bagel because I was feeling dangerous and of course the cream cheese and lox. They asked if I wanted tomato and onion so I was like sure why not?! I was not disappointed! Everything was so fresh and the flavor combo was exactly what I expected and my teeth were black with the seeds at the end. But I didn't care... I was super happy and smiling anyway :)

I was pretty excited to grab lunch here as i am a frequent THB'er and since there wasnt one in the area this was the next best option. The counter person had probably the worst attitude ever and shouldn't be working if she doesnt like to talk to people. I waiting patiently for about 15 minutes for my food (was not busy at all) and my toasted bagel with cream cheese and tomato arrived not toasted and negligible amount of cream cheese. I didn't have the energy to confront management about it as a busy day was ahead. So THB, when are you opening in pikesville again?

I'm not convinced the water from Brooklyn makes the bagels superior to others in the area, but I like this place. I usually get their chicken salad with bacon on an everything bagel, other family members like their egg sandwiches on various bagels A unique feature is that if you order a bagel sandwich with something that can fall out (like my chicken salad) they will scoop out some of the bread (you have to request your bagel scooped) so that the meat stays inside the sandwich. A simple thing, really, but I like the convenience. They also have a large variety of coffee, and if you order it iced your cubes will be made out of coffee, so the drink doesn't get diluted.

Great hours , great service! Perfect for a quiet place to get stuff things done! Fresh bagels

The second visit was not as favorable as the first. BWB is a bagel franchise that limits the way you can order your food. If it's described on the menu in a certain way, they cannot make it any differently. The computer rules and the customer does not. I ordered the egg white sandwich, with mushrooms, spinach and cheese. The egg is zapped and the cheese was layered on top and bottom of the bagel. So what's the result of this prep - an eggle mess. The bagel was soggy from the hot cheese and the three microwaved eggs on the sandwich. This would have been a better presentation if the eggs were placed on a plate and not on the bagel. Also the bagel was a whole wheat everything and had a very salty taste. I moved the egg onto the plate and ate most of it but it did not have much taste because it was cooked in a microwave oven. My husband had the sampler with egg , tuna and chicken salad with two sides (cole slaw and potato salad). He asked for a pumpernickel bagel but they had none so he opted for an onion bagel instead. He gave a good rating for his meal and said next time he would order a sandwich with one of the trio on it as he said this was too much to eat. The seating is not adequate if the shop is busy. Also there is a fairly high noise level because of all the hard surfaces in the shop. I would come back but not order any cooked eggs on the bagel.

Oh man. The bagels are fabulous and fresh but my favorite is the iced coffee cubsta! Coffee iced cubes?! Brilliant! Love that you add in exactly what you want. I go for regular iced coffee+2 pumps chocolate syrup+skim milk+a little squirt of caramel. Can't go wrong. So good!!!

Bagels have been the best in the area since they opened (better than goldbergs say my Long Island NY parents) BUT over the past few months they've been slipping with DAY old bagels that are not fresh even on a Saturday morning. I love this place but they need to get back to their roots or not long for pikesville

I don't know how I missed this place...I often go to Goldberg's bagel but yesterday I found this place on Yelp while looking for something else. When I saw they had coffee ice cubes, I knew I had to stop in!!! They have a medium and dark roast option which is nice. Hubby had a hot coffee and always asks for a cup of ice to help cool it down quicker...but guess what he used today?... You guessed right, one of my coffee cubes!! a win win for us both!! You don't know how many iced coffees I've had that were ruined once the ice cubes begin I melt. I really couldn't enjoy them because I felt like I had to gulp them down. They have free refills, so as I type this in the car, I have a fresh one sitting here waiting!! As for the food, I was hungry and forgot to take pics!! I had a tuna melt on an everything bagel which was good and filling, but messy to eat. Hubby had a pizza bagel and enjoyed it as well.

A great place for a good nosh on Sunday. We love the egg creams and the pizza bagels. This place is very family friendly. Good for kids. They make a large assortment of bagels. We enjoy the wide assortment of cream cheese. If you enjoy eggs then try their omlettes.

Decent bagels. Hot (microwaved, grocery store quality) corned beef not worth eating. If you want to know what it's supposed to taste like visit Katz's in NYC. I'm from Philly and we enjoy Schlessinger's and Famous Delis. Tuna salad a tad dry but decent. Coffee ok but similar to Seattle's Best.

How can I not like a place that gives my job free bagels? Or at least they did, once. And I was super happy to see them. I've been here a few times and I usually get an everything bagel with cream cheese. Pretty standard bagels, which is not a bad thing! I also like that it's super close to my job, so I can run over here on my lunch break.

Great bagels. Definite favorite is the egg bagel. Would love to stop in sometime and see if they have a blueberry bagel (yum!)

A very welcome addition to Pikesville, it's in the same shopping center as 2 of my other favorites, Synchronicity Boutique and Luda's Tailoring. I visited it last summer for the first time after buying a cocktail dress, and was thrilled to see low calorie options on the menu (even if I do opt for an egg white protein sandwich with veggies and chicken breast to be served with melted cheese on a scooped out bagel- it SOUNDS healthy!) The coffee bar is my favorite- I love the Kahlua Caramel flavored iced coffee with Cubestas- frozen cubes of decaf coffee so as it melts, you don't have watered down coffee! Tons of fun with zillions of flavored coffees, milks/creams, and even chocolate, caramel and French vanilla. Jen, the Manager, is the best of the best! She is warm and welcoming every time!

Brooklyn Bagels is just about everything anyone could want in a bagel shop. Bright, clean, airy, immaculately clean and with interesting decor (New York icons on the walls, and a whole lot of Plexiglas to view the bagling process). Prices are reasonable and apparently, if you come after 3:3O PM, bagels may be sharply discounted if not free altogether. The other baked goods are tasty as well; the sugar-free corn muffin is nothing short of spectacular, and one can pretend its quasi-healthy. Other than the B+/A- bagels themselves (Go to Goldberg's for A+ bagels, but deal with more hubbub, an inferior overall atmosphere and less cleanliness), where Brooklyn Bagels really shines is in the iced coffee. No place else do you get ice cubes, themselves made from coffee. Little things mean a lot at Brooklyn Bagels. For the cleanliness and the coffee (and the being open on Saturday), I've become a fan and choose Brooklyn over Goldberg's on balance, which is something I never thought I would say.

Being from northern New Jersey, being prejudiced on the subject of bagels (and pizza) is in my DNA. Going for my first experience at a franchised Brooklyn Bagel store I had serious doubts. My doubts were gone the minute I entered the door as there was the unmistakable bagel store smell. I also observed that nearly every table was occupied; a good sign and after breakfast too. My sampling was a poppyseed bagel, lox, cream cheese onion and tomato and coffee. Nice presentation of something that can be ruined by too much of anything. The bagel smell, taste and texture were about as perfect as I'm used to "up North". The owner, another bagel perfectionist from Long Island, explained the water processing to get the perfect taste of New York City water into the product. There is a lot of work that goes into one bagel and it turns out pretty good. I don't know if this particular type of franchise would work (or be appreciated) in Iowa or Nebraska, but I'm sure the uninitiated will be happy with Einstein and frozen Lenders.

Kickass proper NY bagels. Not much else to say. Despite the silly Brooklyn theme, the place really does make me feel like I"m back in NY. Every time I'm in this place I think I spot my dad -- nope, that's just another old jewish guy taking forever to order. Now to find a decent slice in Baltimore.

The bagels are good. The breakfast sandwiches can use some more work. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and the bacon was more like a garnish than a meat on the sandwich. It consisted of what seemed like a half of slice of regular cut bacon. Yes, only a half of slice! The crew of epic meal time would be embarrassed and appalled by the half slice of bacon. I was at least expecting three slices to balance the egg sandwich, that is described as a three egg sandwich. Other than that the bagel was good. Been there, tried that, really don't have to go back.

Pretty good bagels (I've only ordered bagels and cream cheese). They give you waaay to much cream cheese though. The water is really good actually.

Went on a whim this morning because I really wanted a bagel and this was the closest spot. I ordered a asiago bagel with cream cheese and a Stud Muffin. I wanted a fresh squeezed OJ, but was informed they didn't have any. The bagel was very good with a lot of cream cheese. The Stud muffin is absolutely delicious! I will definitely go back again especially to try the iced coffee because the ice is coffee, so that the drink doesn't become watered down. Four stars only because a menu item was unavailable, which I think is due to it being a low seller, not because they didn't have oranges or the machine was broken.
