I love this place! Everything I've had here has been fresh and tasty. Some of my favorites.. Well the new grilled flat sandwich they just debuted was so delish! I got the southwest chicken grilled which had corn, jalapeño, and this really tasty avocado ranch sauce. I am a great big fan of the salted Caramel cupcake mini (I'm really praying that they bring them back this fall). The soups and salads are very fresh and flavorful. I think they are way better than Panera Bread and of course like a million times better than Subway .. I don't go here as often as if like since the location is not very convenient. I hope they open more locations!

They have good vegetarian sandwich called the California Grille. That's my favorite sandwich to get from their. I also get the Caesar Salad with no chicken. It's about $16 total for those two items, which is more than I like to pay but it fills you up and is always good.

Nice decor and ambience. Good music playing on stereo. If you have never been here you have to first order at the counter then pick a seat and place number card on table for serving. I ordered the club panini and kale ceasar...yum. I got a small bowl of lemon chicken orzo which was also yummy. My dad had the pancake platter he enjoyed. My brother had the sante fe ranch salad that he did not care for. He says his salad was dressed with vinaigrette instead of ranch. Ultimately it was just ok. Three stars.

Great customer service. Good portion sizes indoor and outdoor seating. Soy milk options for latte and teas. Restaurant is clean and a good atmosphere. Breakfast can be ordered anytime during. Vegetarian options and carry out is an option.

I am such a huge CBC fan! I love the portion sizes and the vast items on the menu! I do have some issues with this particular location. I usually went to the one in towson because it's close to my university but, when I'm home I come to this one. Here are some of my issues with this location: 1. Lately, when I order any type of salad the lettuce has been either dead or spoiled. I usually order the caesar and the Romanian lettuce is also brown and the croutons are nasty. Which stinks because I love the croutons from here. 2. The staff is a little immature and seem to not be enthused to work there. I understand at times customers can be difficult but, you still have to be a little upbeat to be able to sell your product. The manager Ashley, is very friendly and seems to try to always correct the wrong doings of her employees. 3. The wait for the food has gotten extremely long. Idk what's going on but, I believe a staff member should inform the customer that their food will be ready soon or won't be much longer. Note: I do hope that some changes are made because I do believe that it is a nice place to eat but, just needs a little boost!

Good was awesome and the service is great. It's much better than Panera bread as it so more "gourmet". I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. I had their breakfast and pastries. They also have lunch sandwiches and good soups. I'll try them for lunch next time

The food is pretty good and consistent - I imagine the kitchen staff works hard and stays on top of orders to make sure that happens. I would hope their pay reflects that. The register / front end employees are rude, consistently, and lack basic common courtesy skills. I've encountered it all from those girls - from interrupting in the middle of ordering so they can answer cell phones, to completely ignoring me outright, or not listening as i order causing me to relay my order again and again. It's always rude, and it's always annoying. Even though I come often, I've begun to order exclusively online as to avoid them mostly all together.

This is really one of those least objectionable choice restaurants-- its nobodies first choice but there's always something on the menu that will please the diverse tastes of everyone in your party. This chain began in Dallas, TX and there used to be one just south of my old house in Preston Center and another just to the north at Preston and Forest. Now that they've gone national, the menu has changed and several of my old faves are no longer offered. Despite others reviews, this place isn't bad-- its just not great. You could eat at a lot of places that are worse. If you enjoy Panera, this place is about equal quality.

The folks are very nice, but the food is only so-so. There is a dearth of tasty places to eat in this area.

I ate here for a quick lunch before work. A couple people in my office told me that coming here was not worth the price but I figured I would try it for myself. I order the sweet spinach salad but asked for them to use half romaine and have spinach. I went to sit down and the place is decorated nicely and is very clean. My food came quickly but it was wrong. They had not included the romaine that I asked but I'm not a complainer so I started eating anyways. The combination of the dressing they use and the fruit in the salad true let it live up to the name sweet spinach but it was too much. I was only able to eat a third of my over $8 salad because of the dressing they used. The flavor combination is not bad with the fruit and goat cheese but I guess if you were to order this salad I would definitely suggest that you get the dressing on the side. The salad also came with a piece of bread and this being a French bakery I thought would be the best part but the top was covered in a layer of salt which caused me to not be able to eat more than a bite. While I was eating my overly sweet salad during what I wanted to be a nice peaceful lunch before work, the staff behind the counter were super loud. I could count 5 people working that I could see and there were 3 customers. I think that's a bit of over staffing right there! All in all the place looks nice, clean, and has a good decor but they need to rethink their dressing and salt use and how many people they have working.
(2)Ashley B.
I've been there multiple times and I've always enjoyed the food. I think for the prices the foods really good. I've had the French toast meal today and thought it was a great way to start the day! The only negative thing is that the staff doesn't really great you when you come in, so it's takes a while to figure out which register to go to and order your food.

Consistently some of the slowest service of any similar establishment around here. don't know why I keep coming back, maybe because so conveniently next-door to my gym but always slow - especially the wait to order! Do not come here in any hurry. I wonder if the hiring management knows about this- or cares?

Great to bring little ones. Fast and fresh with healthy options. Very child friendly. The food is similar to Panera. I've only been there for lunch and dinner but we really enjoyed our meals both times.
(4)John L.
Good food, but the staff and cleanliness felt sub par. However, I recommend the Mac & Three Cheese, that was fair.

This went from a 4 star to a 3 star quite quickly... I think that this cafe has all the right ingredients to be a fantastic place and even cause me to become a regular. That being said there are several things that must change before I frequent this place. My initial impression: I was utterly confused on why this place has such a low average rating. The place is in such a nice location and looks really cute . Off the bat I was impressed and excited to write a review to up the ratings. I ordered a peppermint mocha and was told to wait on the side however there is no actual barista serving table for the barista to place the drink after it is done being made. So I, quite stupidly , stood around hoping to not get in the way of any of the servers while they were going in and out of the kitchen. Finally my drink was served in a nice mug and saucer plate. I was specifically asked by the cashier if I wanted whip cream or not - I said no but alas there was whip cream. When i told the barista who was handing my cup that I asked for no whip cream she kind of just brushed it off with the "well you're gonna take this" attitude. Anyways, whatever I just scooped off the whip cream myself but seriously? Atleast offer to make another one or take the whip cream off...it was such a messy process and the reason why I didn't want whip cream in the first place. The drink itself was very tasty and I enjoyed the crushed up peppermint. Gave it a nice "snap crackle pop" experience! I was going to try the food but decided to hold off until I decide to give this play another shot, which won't be any time soon...

The customer service SUCKS. While in line, they do not greet you to let you know to come to the counter to give your order, my cashier just stood there and looked around and kinda glared at me to "come on, order". The cashier was unresponsive to my question about bread substitutions for a sandwich and had to ask someone else. This was my first time there and I did not know where to stand to wait for the to-go order to be called. When I asked, I was basically shooed to a corner. The order did not take long (I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, mixed greens salad side, and a sliced of pumpkin cake. Thank goodness I looked in the bag before I drove off because they forgot the salad and the pumpkin cake. When I went back, there was no apology, just "let me see your receipt" and " hold on". The chicken salad taste as if it has peanut butter in it; maybe they used a dirty knife to cut it. Otherwise, it was pretty "meh' for chicken salad and pretty one-note; although you could currents, almonds, and apples, they had no taste whatsoever. It also had an inordinate amount of black pepper, which did not seem to be mixed into the salad but was added by the preparer. The salad was good; I liked the croutons the most The pumpkin cake had promise, however, it seems as though it may be old, because one side of it seemed stale. Like it was cut a week ago and sat in the display case and the air on the exposed side caused it to be stale. I cut that part off and it tasted pretty good. All in all, there are much better options close by (hint, hint Panera Bread, which does get *extremely* busy but their food and service never falter). In the future I will stick with what I know is good and go to Panera.

What a shame... I used to work in this shopping center at three different stores. It was once a great place because every store had employees who typically had strong work ethic. Over the years however new businesses have moved in and out of the center, especially in the spot that corner bakery now occupies, and these businesses seem to only hire the worst employees. Corner bakery suffers from this pandemic. Most of the beings who work here are as worthless as you can get. I always see like a dozen of them standing around doing nothing. Plus their usually to dumb to do the simplest task like cleaning tables, restocking, trash emotying, etc. The food always comes out wrong. They don't ever have baked goods here which you would expect in a bakery. To top it off it takes a lifetime to get your terrible food. My recommendation...never eat here.

This place is about what you'd expect it to be: a Panera clone, with overly-salty soup, good bread, and inconsistent salads. I can vouch for the sweet salad, which happens to be the lowest calorie on the menu, with goat cheese, strawberries, spinach, and sweet croutons. I've tried a few others but they weren't anywhere near as good. The soups are okay but they're not made fresh, and are very high in sodium. I've had the chicken noodle, thai coconut, and tortilla. All were decent but hardly noteworthy. I'll often pair the chicken noodle with my typical salad because it's low in calories, too. The rolls are consistently tasty. 550 calories and under $9 for lunch isn't a bad way to go, if you're worried about your waistline. If not, Chipotle is in the same shopping center, with better, fresher food.

I didn't hate this place nearly as much as other people seem to. My mom and I came for an early weekday dinner and it was fine. We both got half an Uptown Turkey sandwich and a bowl of soup (chicken noodle for her, loaded baked potato for me). Both were good, but the portions were slightly smaller than say, Panera. Or maybe just less filling. The harvest bread the sandwich was on was particularly good. The service was fine, and quick. There was virtually no one else inside, excluding two other tables, one with a woman with some of the strongest B.O. I have ever encountered... thankfully the restaurant is pretty large and we were able to sit a very far distance away. I wouldn't hesitate to come back, but, I'm in no rush to either.

The food is great. Their customer service is awful!!!! Every time we come we are treated as if we are an inconvenience to the staff when we are waiting to place our order. Today's instance was probably the worst and the lady who took our order was rude and nasty to the other staff. I would suggest driving to Towson over this location.

Nice atmosphere - great place for lunch or a coffee and snack break. Salads are very good - chicken salad, especially. Large seating area and some outdoor seating. Parking is always a bit full - popular shopping area.

This location is like the b*stard step-child of Corner Bakeries. Unloved, and therefore unkempt. You'd think from the disheveled state it is in, it'd have been opened for years but alas, it's been a couple months at best. I'm not sure what it is, but the couple times I've been here the place seems littered with garbage. Uncleaned tables, paper and crumbs all over the floor. But, I guess this is explained by the extra staff just shooting the breeze with each other in front of the beverage station, effectively blocking the walkway from customers trying to leave the register and snag a table. Any pre-made items seem fine, in line with most other Corner Bakeries. Items that need to be prepared - salads, sandwiches, etc. - lack the typical presentation though. I comes out looking like it's been unceremoniously thrown on your plate. I was so excited to have a Corner Bakery nearby, but this is so disappointing that I doubt I'll be back anytime soon.

Friendly and kind service. Very kind service when I had a mishap with a cup of tea. Went the extra mile to ensure I was set up with a second cup, milk and sugar, and spoon. Servers checked back with us a number of times to see if we needed anything. Good place to stop for a cuppa and a small snack.
(4)Lauren S.
Honestly? This place isn't that bad. I split a meatball panini with a friend, and it was just enough for both of us. It wasn't bad, wasn't great, but it hit the spot. My only complaint is that the marinara sauce they gave us should have been hot and not cold, but whatever.
(3)Allie P.
The outdoor seating is the best part of this place. There are always long lines, food is never made to order, despite special requests, and it is so overpriced. Panera does not have any competition coming from this joint.

My boyfriend and I had what we characterize as one of the worst dining experiences in several years. In every category, this "cafe" fails to deliver. Most notably is the unforgivably bad service. As a retailer myself, watching the 6-8 different staffer.s onsite, doing NOTHING is painful to watch. As a customer, it is frustrating to enter a nearly empty restaurant and wait over ten minutes to have our order taken. Then, another fifteen for the food to arrive. Two breakfast sandwiches..should have been five minutes. When they arrived, instead of egg whites, they contained regular eggs. When we told the cashier, she couldn't have cared less. Having waited far too long for the incorrect order, we decided not to wait for a corrected version. Both of our meals were soggy, lukewarm and tasteless. Staff didn't even apologize or offer a discount or coupon. Wouldn't have mattered though...we don't ever intend to set foot inside again. Do yourself a favor, if you want that type of food, try Panera across the street. Not superb, but excellent service with staffers who care about your experience.

I visited this establishment today. We ordered 2 salads, soup and Anaheim Scrambler. It took 33 minutes for the food to come out and that is after we asked for it after 25 minutes. The soup and the eggs were brought out cold. Numerous attempts to reheat the eggs went nowhere as the chaos in the kitchen and the order delivery system was totally collapsing. The manager Joe kept trying to do numerous things at one time without really completing any task from the beginning to the end. After I waited another 10 minutes for my eggs to be reheated, I gave up and asked for my money back. Joe could not even do this properly and had to verbally assure me that he voided the transaction. I still need to check with my cc to see if he did indeed managed to do the refund correctly. I sympathize with the fact that they just opened and these might be some growing pains, but the fact that they did not try to offer any reimbursement and I had to ask for a refund after over 40 minutes of wait and not receiving part of my order is unprofessional and just bad customer service. I have to issue one star here, since I have waited for such a long time and did not get a chance to taste the food. The manager was not apologetic or offered any incentive for me to be back. He did admit fault, but not apology.

I'm not from the area, but there is a corner bakery by my house and I love it. The food at this corner bakery is just ok. The staff is pleasant. I went at lunch time and it took a while to get my food, but I imagine that's because it was lunch time. I ordered the bacon power panini with egg whites, to-go. Not such a great idea, because the sandwich is served warm so by the time I got back to work and opened it up, the bread was soggy from all the heat. That's my bad, but the sandwich itself was kind of blah. The bacon was way too salty, to the point that I had to take it off. And the egg whites had black stuff on them and were pretty bland. I actually opted to throw away the sandwich in lieu of finishing it. It wasn't horrible, but it kind of felt like it was a waste of calories (a first world problem, I know). So in a pinch, I would go back to this restaurant. But otherwise, I won't return.

Pretty good. Food was Panera minus one. Staff was fair, the server who brought our order to the table was outstanding. The manager was a little weird, berating the cashier as we stood there not knowing what to order then being slightly creepy as we left (overly nice and kept on wanting to talk). Overall, I won't be back - it didn't suck, like 2 stars suck, but it left me feeling like the manager was under a microscope and his hapless staff were his play toys.
(3)Miriam B.
Came for a nice relaxing breakfast. Only to have it ruined by being forced to listen to an overly zealous manager berate a young female employee for a 1/2 an hr. I hope that corporate reads this review.

8/25/12 Unimpressed. Their menu sucks compared to Panera's. I am from DE so I never heard of this place and I have a low opinion of franchises as it is. I thought it wasn't one so I wanted to check it out. The cashier pretty much hated life. I ordered a Harvest Salad with chicken. I thought it was coming out with chicken but if you look at the menu twice it says "with chicken" and a higher price. What kind of company hides an up-sell? The salad greens were wilted and the hard-bread-cracker thing that came with it was soaked in oil, salt and pepper. It was too salty to eat. The boyfriend had a turkey sandwich which was extremely small and had maybe 7 potato chips next to it. He was hungry after we left. We paid Panera prices for much lower quality and service. Stick with the Panera bread that's right down the street. Also, avoid the hell out of Cosi too.

About to try something new so I ordered a panini club and it was delicious. My grandmother ordered an egg white with peppers and mushrooms and they brought out something completely wrong and the exact opposite of what she ordered. We sent it back and the manager came out and apologized and gave us some comp cards and told us to just ask if we ever had a problem and was very nice about everything. Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful too.

Great value for a quick, healthy meal. Try the Asian salad - quite good.
