The bar food menu is actually a pretty good inexpensive deal for some tasty food. Plus happy hour drink specials are really good. I definitely prefer sitting at the bar if I can. Ask about their flatbread of the day - it's usually pretty tasty

I was worried when we went on Open Table and everything was open. What a pleasant surprise!

I have to say I am underwhelmed by this place. The salmon with crispy roasted potatoes was not at all how it sounded on the menu. The salmon tasted like grilled salmon with some candied pecans thrown on top. There was no bourbon glaze or any flavor other than salt and pepper. The crispy potatoes where over cooked potato chips. Again there was no bourbon glaze or any flavor other than the over cooked bad taste. The ambiance is lack luster and the crowd is less than desirable. The two stars is way more than they deserved.

My husband and I dined there on a Friday night. It was crowded and a little noisy with a lively happy hour crowd. The food and service were outstanding. My husband had one of the best crab cakes ever. It was better than the crabcakes at both G & M's and the Corner Stable. My bleu cheese encrusted filet was delicious and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes and broccolini were perfect. We shared the cinnamon hot milk cake for desert. It was warm with a slice of strawberry and whipped cream. It was a pleasant experience and we'll be back soon.

Ugh! What a disappointment! Three of us went for brunch today and were excited to be there for the first time in years. There was hardly anyone there at 11:30am (I'm always a little leery when places are so empty during a prime time). The service was good - very friendly staff. We got mimosas and they were really big. They came in a wine glass with ice. I think ice in a mimosa is strange but it was tasty. We got two omelettes and one crab egg Benedict. All three meals came with hash browns. We're almost positive they went from a freezer bag into a fryer. Definitely not homemade or anything special but they were tasty. The food was good but it was nothing fancy. One of the omelettes was the western one with steak in it. The steak was chopped up so small you couldn't really taste it. The plates just had the omelette or egg Benedict and hashbrowns. No fruit or garnish which I would expect for this kind of restaurant. We got one side of bacon and it was $3 for 2 pieces. Really?!?! So for those three meals, the side of bacon, a coffee and four mimosas the check was $80. Obviously the alcohol runs up a tab but we all agreed while the food was fine it wasn't worth the money. Just nothing special. With so many good brunch options in Baltimore, we won't be going back to Peerce's.

Average food. I live around the corner and go back once every few month to see if they improve. Not at all. So disappointing. Basic things they miss- calamari is soggy, crab cakes are blah and really nothing really has been good. Hopefully someone else will buy it and make it better!

This restaurant was a complete let down. I have heard wonderful reviews about this restaurant, and unfortunately was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Long story short we went to eat here during restaurant week. The party of four I was with was sat right away. At first, the waitress was very attentive and drinks came out quickly but after all went down hill. We did not have our order placed for our food until we were sat for about an hour. Mind you the restaurant was barely half full. Now we shrugged this off at first because we were having an enjoyable evening. However our food did not come out for over an hour! The waitress was sweet but no longer attentive and never had our water re-filled. The one time we were checked on our waitress explained to us our food was almost done (which was told to us about 45 minutes after we ordered). About another 20 minutes waiting we asked to see a manager ( who we had to get up and find ourselves because our waitress was no where to be found). He was also kind at first and apologized and offered the meal to be on the house. Fine, we decided to at least stay and try the meal. Unfortunately it was not good. Extremely salty and the two pasta dishes were cold. Now all of us our upset and have been there for over two hours. We then get handed our check which still had our drink charges on there. We asked the manager after how horrible the experience was and food coming out salty and cold for everything be taken off. Which they did in the end. However, still no excuse for how long the food took to cook and the quality! What a great cute location for a restaurant but needs to have a major makeover between the chef, staff and manager! Hopefully the owner of this restaurant will make these changes because I will not be recommending anyone to dine here under the current management!

Having driven by here many times on the way to Boordy Vineyards and the Loch Raven Reservoir, the 2013 Restaurant Week finally gave us an excuse to try this local neighboorhood favorite in the near country. We went on Saturday night, 1/12, the night of the Ravens game, and, to make it even more distracting, the night of quite a large wedding in the facility, so service suffered a little bit, but improved throughout the night. Overall it's not the worst service ever experienced with a severely distracted staff, so we'll let it pass. The location itself is very nice. Located right on a corner, the restaurant itself is very large. You enter through the bar (equipped with the usual battery of televisions), then branch off into either the main dining room or the event rooms. The decor was a bit spartan, but actually quite nice given the county restaurants' consistent need to over-decorate. The food was excellent. We went with the Restaurant Week dinner menu, consisting of, for me, the short rib tacos (very flavorful, nice asian slaw, served in fried wontons), followed by the smoked pork chop with bacon hash (again, great flavor, nice and moist), and a classic creme brulee (nice vanilla flavor, good caremelization, no fancy flavoring), and, for my dining companion, the fried green tomatoes with crab (very tasty), steak frites (tender and juicy), and the chocolate cake (tasty). Overall a great "once-in-a-while" casual place close to home. We will be back for their homemade pasta night.

Eh, very unremarkable. Tiny shrimp, jerk owner that's snippy to customers and below average menu. Sorry for coming here. Truly.

Went here with my husband's grandmother for Sunday brunch at 10:30. The service was excellent, the staff were very accommodating, and the restaurant was quiet (which was great for his grandmother, who sometimes has a hard time hearing). The food was good (we ordered the french toast, eggs benedict, and build-your-own-breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon). Would definitely go back.

First experience and it was pleasant. The waitress was very nice and service was good. The food was very good and served in reasonable amount of time. Cost was not excessive and reasonable. Would definitely recommend and would go again.

Made reservations day of via open table. No probelm with that. After being seated in the dining room (bar looks inviting) with about 3 other tables, a few more tables showed up. The conversation level volume was very loud for a half-full dining room. Don't expect a quiet dinner here. The service was excellent. The food was tatsy and it's a good value. Nice to see the place open again, I hope they succeed. Will be back.

Been going here off and on for 30+ years, through highs and lows of various ownerships and incarnations. It's good to see the charm is back. Went there for brunch today (Sunday). While the menu may be a little limited, that's okay - everything they made, they did very well. Maybe the tightly focused menu lets them concentrate better. Omelette with crab and bacon was terrifically tasty, and so were the spicy Bloody Marys. Can't wait to go back - the bar looks great again, and the whole re-do looks very sharp.

(08/11/2011) We were sorry to see the original Peerce's Plantation close it's doors in 2001, it had been a staple in the area for many years and held many personal memories (prom, graduation, wedding reception, anniversary). Was excited to hear about the reopening, and this is our first visit since the reincarnation. There's a swanky new bar and casual dining area with large screen TVs; looks like a great neighborhood hang out for the old money crowd (probably a little too upscale for the kids, a little too far out in the County for the urbanites). The new dining room looks to be in the old banquet hall; the room was only half full on the night we were there, but incredibly noisy (like the person across the 2-ish foot 4-top couldn't hear me noisy). Service was friendly, quick, efficient, a little young and somewhat casual (the teenage hostess had a skirt on so short it could've been a belt). Our meals were very successful. My Mongolian Short Rib was tender; the beef was braised with a little five-spice and finished with a hoisin-based glaze. The Beef Brisket Quesadilla was full of moist and flavorful brisket, BBQ sauce, and nice melted cheese in a crisp-grilled tortilla. Shrimp and Broccolini pasta was very garlicky (it is described as dressed with "garlic olive oil"); had tender shrimp (tail-on), the simplest of the dishes with the mix-ins added when you order. The Feta and Spinach Crusted Chicken was a fairly large boneless breast with a layer of chopped spinach pressed on then topped and broiled with the feta, napped with a light butter sauce flavored with lemon and garlic. Mashed potato and broccolini sides were good, seasoned simply, if a little plain. Everyone was very pleased with the meal; it's a little pricey to put into regular rotation, but would be on our radar for special occasions.

My 1st experience at Peerce's Grille for my boyfriends' birthday was awful. The fried green tomatoes were tasty, as was the Mongolian Short Ribs, but that's where the goodness ceased. The tomato basil soup didn't even taste like tomatoes and the mushroom ravioli was very obviously frozen w/a very bland tomato sauce- not the roasted vegetable ragu that was so appetizingly promised. Neither the soup or the ravioli were finished, in fact barely touched, and yet I was charged for both. Whatever. I'm not ever going to waste my money there again.

The place has been cleaned up but the chef really needs to get a contemporary menu. I found the food to be very heavy and old time in the sense of the style restaurants used to serve.

The bar looks like a nice place to post up.
