You know at five guys you can expect quality food and good customer service. This location provides just that. Excellent juicy burgers and heaping portions of fries! Not to mention the awesomeness of the coke machine that has a million drink options. You can't go wrong with five guys.

I admit it ... I let the haterade get to me. I had been a Five Guys fan for years, dating back to MANY stops at one of the originals in Alexandria. As the years passed and the Five Guys franchise exploded literally everywhere in the US, the franchise seemed to lose its luster, especially to those in the DMV who remembered them fondly as a small, family run local burger joint. So for no other reason than the loss of "specialness" because Five Guys was suddenly everywhere, I stopped eating at Five Guys. That changed recently when I was in the Deena to visit a friend. His plans took a sudden change and I was going to grab dinner solo. Having a craving for a burger, I first thought Hardee's ... but I had some time to kill and remembered there was a Five Guys nearby. It had been years since my last visit to a Five Guys, but it didn't take long for me to remember my go-to order - Cheeseburger (the big one) with sauteed mushrooms and onions, pickles, and A-1 sauce. While waiting for my burger and fries, I played around with the fancy Coke mix machines that are in every Five Guys franchise. My Five Guys burger was just as I remembered them from the old days - well done, but still perfectly juicy, with great bread and perfectly melted cheese. The love/hate of Five Guys for many is that they are too "greasy". I call it juicy rather than greasy, and that's what I love about them. West Coast snobs hate it when you compare Five Guys to In 'N Out - and they are right, it's a different burger. It's hard to compare the two. But when you compare two Five Guys burgers from different stores, the consistency is amazing. It's a signature of the Five Guys franchise - they take what a chain their size would normally spend in advertising and marketing and put it into constant blind QC checks throughout their franchise. And it shows. I have had many of the competitors popping up in the DMV area - Smashburger, Elevation Burger, Shake Shack, etc. Five Guys is IMO better than Smashburger and Elevation Burger, and maybe just a step back from Shake Shack (solely because of their Shack Stack). I'm glad I started listening to my taste buds over the marketing hype again - Five Guys, I will never doubt the without merit again.

They are always on the money with our orders! They are very friendly at this location too! If I ask for extra pickles, they give me extra pickles... And that makes me very happy! :)

Wow, considering all the great reviews I thought I would give them a try. Was I wrong!!! Rude employee, more interested in her phone than customers waiting to order, and then it was wrong! Imagine that?! I will not call her out by name, but she knows who she is. Ultimately the food was "okay", not fantastic. Had really hoped for a better experience considering I don't live close to there, but work in the area. Next time I will go to Hardee's.

I love five guys burgers. As far as fast food goes, they are clearly superior to the McDonalds and Burger Kings. I like the peanuts while you wait, and my wife loves that you can get fresh jalapenos on your burger.
