I was really impressed with this place. I had a pastrami and muenster cheese everything bagel sandwich. The pastrami was great quality and I got a surprisingly large portion of it. I also sampled the powerhouse, which was refreshing and interesting, but a little too healthy for moi. This place inspired me to start making my own bagel sandwiches at home. The place was pretty busy and we had to wait in line about 10 minutes and another 20 minutes for our food. My only qualm is the prices seem a little high for the locale. Two bagel sandwiches and one drink for $16. seems steep to me. I will likely be back though

This place is OK, but there is definite room for improvement. The bagels are good, and they come in a good variety (including salt, my favorite). They boil their bagels in the traditional way, unlike Einstein's which does not. That's why Einstein's bagels are light and airy like a piece of toast. So big points for a good quality bagel. If you're getting bagels to go, I have no problem recommending this place. However, there are some negatives. 1. The coffee is really weak. I asked for a dark roast, but they don't have a dark roast available. In this day and age, a breakfast place should have a variety of coffee choices. All they have is regular and one flavored (ugh). They also do not have any dome lids, just the basic flat soda-cup lids. A small point, maybe, but even Royal Farms has dome lids. The cream/sugar station has only one dispenser for what I suppose was cream (it was not labeled). There were no other milk choices. They did not have Splenda packets, just blue and pink. It's like getting coffee at Jiffy Lube. 2. If you're staying to eat, the place looks really run down and is not appetizing at all. The walls are plain white with no decorations at all. But not white as in fresh and clean and modern. No, the walls are dingy and literally have holes in them with strips of plastic tape over them. Take a day off, patch the holes, and re-paint the walls. The vinyl booth benches also have holes in them with strips of black tape covering them. It looks really low-budget. I would never suggest that a friend meet me there to have lunch. But if you need a bag of bagels to take to work, go for it.

The bagels here are absolutely disgusting. Yes, they're larger but don't let that fool you. They taste nasty and the spreads and egg sandwiches are not good. It's unfortunate because it's one of the only bagel places in the area. I wouldn't pump my breaks for this place. Save your money and time and head down the road to THB or Brooklyn Water Bagels.

Bagels are very good and taste fresh. They have a good selection of specialty cream cheese. This place is a dive but if you go for the bagels they are delicious. If you order cream cheese they put on a huge amount but it is delicious. Coffee is decent. Staff is a little slow and the place is crazy on a Sat AM.

The bagels, sandwiches and coffee are all great. Several house mixed cream cheeses. I get constant requests for stuff from this place from work. The downside--get it to go because the place is pretty dirty. The place is family owned and I'm sure they work their hearts out but it is really time for the floors to be cleaned and the furniture to have a redo. Seriously the black tape on the booth cushions has been there for ten years--guys, it's time!!!

Stopped in here to grab some breakfast with my boyfriend. We just moved to the area, so I was ecstatic to find a bagel shop so close to my our new home. Unfortunately my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when we arrived and ordered our food. We walked in and were not greeted or acknowledged for atleast 5 minutes, instead we had to wait until the employees finished their conversation. There was a surprisingly small selection of bagels (around 7 types at a bagel shop!!!) which consisted of very basic flavors like blueberry, multi-grain, pumpkin, etc. that are available at any grocery store. I was really disappointed with the selection, but we were already there, so I went with a multi-grain bagel w/ margarine & jam. My boyfriend got a pumpkin bagel with veggie spread. We went to sit down at a table but it looked dirty, like no one had bothered to wipe it down in a couple of days. We tried finding another table that looked clean but all of the tables were unkempt. Finally we gave up and sat down at a booth which had a massive hole covered in duct tape. I have literally seen nicer settings in a dive bar, gross! When our food came out my bagel tasted generic & stale, like it had been in the display case for a couple of days, not special, not appetizing at all, I ate about half of it. My boyfriend liked his pumpkin bagel, but hated the veggie spread to the point that he took about 4 bites and threw away the rest. The final straw was when we went to get refills and the employees acted as if we were interrupting their conversation. We left extremely disappointed & hungry, forcing us to find another restaurant to compensate. I love to support local businesses in my area, but this was terribly disappointing & we will not be back!

Moving here from New Jersey where we take bagels very seriously and have a bunch of bagel shops ( and I mean real bagel shops not franchise garbage like Einstein Bagels or Panera Bread) this place is a little bit above average. I enjoy there bagel sandwiches and the the bagels are usually fresh.

I've been going to Bagel Bistro since it opened years and years and years ago. I used to ride my bike there, then my car, and now I swing by the neighborhood on Sundays after church. Chicken salad sandwich is my thing - perfect. They do have a lot of options that should satisfy any taste. Lots of drink options as well. My only gripe is that the place has not been visually updated - ever. It could also use a thorough cleaning. But, if the Sunday lunch crowd is any indicator, the lack of decor and spotlessness is not a deterrent.

I grew up in the neighborhood and I slept on this place my whole life, until I came up to see my parents for the holidays and stopped in for a bagel. It's not hip or trendy, but the people who work there are friendly and unpretentious, and their bagels are fresh and their house-mixed cream cheeses are amazing. I might even go so far as to say this is the best place for bagels in the county OR the city; every subsequent bagel I've eaten since I've been there has left me wishing I had a Bagel Bistro bagel instead.
