Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I love Ricciutis! I have been going there for years ever since I was a kid (back when they had ice cream in the summers). My favorite is the Finito pizza and I get it every time that I go there. I love the dessert pizza but I try to stay away from that one due to the calories. Love the calamari. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. It could be a great romantic date spot with the dim lighting if it wasnt in Olney and I knew everyone that worked there. The service is good too. 4 because its pretty darn good.

I am surprised by the somewhat low reviews for this place. It's very cute and cozy for starters. I thought it was a bit pricy, but they had half price draft beers and cocktails on special when I was there. I LOVE that they have all the local farms listed on the menu where they get their food. Awesome. The food was DELICIOUS! I just thought it was a tad overpriced. I had the mac n cheese which was oh so good! Not super creamy like typical mac n cheese, but good nonetheless. My coworkers also had pasta dishes that they all really liked. For dessert we split the dessert pizza which was delicious! Just be sure everyone likes raspberry because there is raspberry preserves on top of the chocolate pizza sauce. YUM, so good though. I would definitely go here again, because I want to try the pizza!

I can't believe I wasted my money on this crappy food. Sunday meal with the family, ordered appetizer beef and veggie rolls, heirloom tomato. Main meal: pepperoni pizza, spaghetti and meat balls, steak salad, some chicken dish with melted cheese and pasta, braised veal risotto. The veggie rolls were horrible. The filling was just god awful beef and onions and dripping with fryer oil. The tomatoes were good but how can a plate of tomatoes and cheese get messed up? The pizza was horrible, chucky cheese has better pizza. The braised veal risotto was flavorless. The braised veal was missing and the rice was creamy as a risotto should be. Spaghetti and meatballs were ok but really lacked any flavor. All in all the food is just not good here. I don't know what people ordered that gave 4-5 stars. The food lacked any real flavor. Momma lucias is a much better option even though that's not the best Italian food.

I've been here about 10 times and the staff is always friendly (even when they are slammed which is sometimes the case). Bartenders and servers are always helpful with suggestions. Great beer on tap and delicious food. Penne and cheese pizza are excellent.
(5)Kevin F.
It's a really nice place. Don't go for the location/ambience. The kale salad and local nature to the food is what really draws me here. Too bad its right on a busy road and the outside furniture looks like it was on sale at a K-mart and you're in a parking lot.

Dinner here last night was perfect. The pizza is absolutely amazing and with the 1/2 price deal they're doing on Tuesdays in February, the price was fantastic as well. We had a local sausage, roasted mushrooms and roasted red pepper pizza that was delicious. They were super busy but our waitress was attentive, sweet, and wonderful. LOVE that they have Milkhouse Brewery beers on tap now too!

Don't let the little house fool you, this is a really cute and cozy restaurant! So for our offices' holiday party we decided to come here and I can't say I regret that decision at all. While at first I was a bit skeptical, the interior is super inviting and the staff even more so. Our waiter for the night was welcoming and was great with staying on top of everyone's orders even though we had a fairly big group. He was just a tad bit too into our personal conversations but I'm choosing to overlook that. For the food, we all ordered different appetizers which included the spinach & artichoke dip, garlic bread w/ mozzarella, calamari fritti, and a few other things. And holy moly, I'd order that all again and make a meal out of it! The garlic bread had mozzarella melted all over it and it was just utter gooey deliciousness; the dip was the perfect consistency and was baked so the gooeyness continued. The chubby kid in me was thrilled with all that :) For entrees, I was a little less thrilled. I had the filet mignon; and while it wasn't bad I've definitely had better and for the price tag I was expecting to be at least a little wow'ed. My coworker raved about her mac & cheese though so if all else fails, get that! For drinks, most of us had the sangria and it was super yummy and refreshing, it complimented all entrees and that itself is earning them a star! All in all I don't think I'd go out of my way to come here, but I wouldn't be disappointed if I ended up here either

I went for dinner. We had a white pizza for the appetizer with Caramelized onions and mushrooms it was amazing. You can taste the cheese, the mushrooms. Also we ordered the beef spring rolls which was out of this world For my entree I ordered the chicken saltimbocca, the linguine was al Dante and the chicken was cooked perfectly. For desert The Tiramisu is to die for The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this Resturant for anniversaries and birthdays

I have been there plenty of times and have never had a single complaint. Consistently wonderful. Recommend the penne bolognese.

Ricciuti's is a charming little space with excellent food and service. The bar is small and quaint. It's a good space for friends or solo reading a book. Rocciuti's is all about local eating a sources it's ingredients with local farms when possible. The menu is limited but always inventive. The wood-fired pizzas are excellent with thin crusts. A great beer and wine selection as well as interesting cocktails. Service is consistently fabulous. Patio seating in the warm weather.

Great Italian restaurant! They have delicious hummus and I highly recommend the Spinach Basil Lasagna. I was so full by half of it but had to finish it! Their menu is more on the healthy side, which I love! However, they are especially known for their brick oven pizzas. The only thing I didn't like about the menu is that there are few pasta options for someone looking for a traditional Italian meal.

I was very torn here tonight because this is one of my favorite restaurants!! Walking in - I ran into a cousin who also loves dining by here. The food never disappoints - it is always superb from Pizza to their seasonal specialties. However, the service this evening left a lot to be desired. Our waiter seemed aloof and almost resentful of having to serve us. He was far more interested in the four top next to us but he could even be considered dismissive of them and they ordered 2 bottles of wine. He did ask them if they wanted dessert which he did not ask of us (2 women). The hostess was young and also a little less than friendly. This was extremely disappointing as we had just returned from a very long drive from upstate New York and I specifically selected this restaurant as the place I wanted "to come home too." Not great service tonight - step up your customer service or you'll start losing business because this is no bargain for the area despite the delicious menu.

Absolutely our new favorite restaurant! We have been several times, but most memorably this Valentine's Day (though sitting on the patio in the sunshine last summer eating oysters was certainly NOT a forgettable dining experience!). We enjoyed both wood-fired and fried oysters, both of which were cooked perfectly, my favorite were the wood-fired, though the fried weren't greasy or overcooked, which is a faux pas that restaurants often make. For our entree we had lamb canelloni and the rock fish. Again, both were perfectly cooked and were exquisite. Aside from a well-run restaurant and witty and knowledgeable staff, the crown jewel of Ricciutis is the care that is taken with creating the menu. Local and organic ingredients are used and there are solid gluten-free dishes as well. We're lucky top live so close, but it would be well worth the travel of we did not.
(5)Sam Y.
I've been dining here for 10+ years. The best place around! Excellent wine list. Great food. Reasonable prices. Good service. Get pizza or an entre.
(5)Dan R.
This was our second visit, driving over from Potomac and well worth it. I rarely give places 5 stars but based on our dinner this time that's the rating. Meat Loaf with a special BBQ sauce, potatoes, and greens was absolutely killer. My wife had the Rock Fish which was superb But it was the dessert that really went beyond -- an Irish Whiskey mug of bittersweet home made ice cream topped with also home-made marshmallow fluff, but thick and delicious. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly, helping us choose. And a free coffee mug with a sample of the most amazing chocolates by Steven Howard.

I tried Ricciuti's Restaurant for the first time recently and was impressed. The atmosphere is chic and inviting. My meal was quite good and was very flavorful in all aspects. Will definitely visit again when in Olney
(4)Nilsa H.
Been Going to Ricciuti's since the mid-nineties. For the most part the food is consistent. I know that can be difficult for restaurants to maintain. Yesterday, my husband brought me oysters. They were so salty. I had to pull off the breading to enjoy them. My salad was light on apples and other ingredients. So, this time I was not happy. I will still go back. Hopefully, it will be what I remember.

I first ate at Ricciut's when it was in laytonsville. The restaurant has come a long way and has done a great job of adapting to current food trends while sticking to their bread and butter which is their fire baked pizza. Of all restaurants in Olney I'd suggest this before any other. Their menu is based off of seasonal local based produce and ingredients. Recently I got to enjoy dinner with my family. I started off with the fire roasted oysters which were pretty good. As an entree I went with the herb crusted rockfish in a parsnip purée with beets. It was quite delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and the herb crust along with the purée made for a delicious combo. I also got to enjoy their filet mignon with kale and bacon. This dish was insanely good. The kale and bacon tasted like sauerkraut, which I love. The meat was cooked perfectly Nd was paired perfectly with the sauce came along. I would highly recommend either dish to anyone that visits Ricciut's anytime soon. If you're in Olney and like a good meal I'd highly recommend Ricciut's. It contends with restaurants in the city in terms of quality.

This place is lovely. We went for lunch, when the menu is more limited. Yes, the price seems high for stromboli compared to a cheap chain, but it is absolutely worth it. This was the freshest, lightest, most satisfying calzone I've ever had. I couldn't believe I finished the generous portion, but it was just too good to save for later! My son got a kid's penne and meatball, also delicious and large enough for leftovers. But more importantly, it was nice to see real food on the kids' menu instead of the usual chicken fingers (also an option but not the ONLY option). My husband had steak and cheese, which was not your usual chopped up mess, but sliced grilled NY strip, which he loved. The service was excellent and understanding when my son had a few toddler moments. I can't wait to come back for dinner!
(5)Kristi F.
One of my favorite places. Their food is consistently good. They use mostly organic, local foods, and they have gluten free and vegetarian options. Their chocolate pizza (not really a pizza) is an amazing dessert! The servers and owners are always friendly and they remain polite even on really busy nights or if there is a problem. I wouldn't consider it a fancy place but you can dress up or dress down depending on the occasion. However, you might want to call ahead to see if you need to make a reservation, especially if you have a large party.
(5)Pete M.
The food was great! I had an awesome calzone, and my girlfriends burger was perfectly cooked. And despite having a very busy section, our server (Grant) was prompt and attentive.
(5)Monica S.
Restaurant is nice and cozy. I originally got one of their chicken dishes but ended up switching it for a pizza. The dish was okay but I wasn't about to pay $20 for something that I could make at home, so I switched it for a pizza. My mom ordered a lamb special, that turned out to be ground lamb which she wasn't too happy about. I appreciate that they use fresh ingredients but I think they can do a better job describing the dish on the menu. I've also heard good things about their lunch menu and mac & cheese, so I think you just have to get the right thing. The pizza is good though :)

I've been here several times and although it's an Italian restaurant, I have yet to try any of their Italian food (probably because I'm lactose and gluten intolerant). The first time out a friend and I split their pizza. I wouldn't recommend it as it was very doughy and thick, not too flavorful and crust was so so. What brought me back a 2nd and 3rd time was the atmosphere and their menu. The place is quaint and quite yet labyrinthine like in size as it seems to span room after dining room after dining room. The 2nd time out, I got the same starter as the first time. The fresh arugula salad. So good. Light, flavorful with thin slices of gouda (not too much to bother me) served with a light vinaigrette that had me wanting more. The 2nd time around I got the pork chop which came with fresh greens, a sweet mash puree and the chop itself was covered in a chocolate espresso sauce. Oh. My. God. Succulent, tender, flavorful and filling. I'm not partial to pork chops but this was one delicious chop. Finished it off with a piece of carrot cake and waddled my way out of their happy as a clam. Most recently I started off with the summer salad and it wasn't a normal salad at all. There were no big leaves, no rounded slices of cucumber or carrot. Instead, it was diced veggies; tomato's, peppers, corn, cucumber, carrot chunks on top of some sort of egg quiche and topped with a lemon vinaigrette. Summer in a bowl. For an entree I had the swordfish and it was tasty, tasty. Lightly sauced with a tangy, sweet sauce of some sort, drenched in olive oil and cooked to a tender perfection, served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Again, I left satisfied but decided not to gorge myself on dessert. I shall be back again! I suggest you be there.

I am a tough customer to please and am very pleased with the meal and service i experienced for dinner tonight. We had the kale salad, which was okay but I suggest a kale with caesar dressing. Fried oysters were great, pizza with sausage, onions, and added meatballs were spot on. They have a $20 bottle of french red wine that we enjoyed. This place does it right. Local grass fed meats, organic stuff that my gal loves. This place rocks. No where like it in Rockville, and who wants to fight for parking in Bethesda or dc. And papa Hal came by to make sure we were happy, and he had me at "hi." Nice job dudes!
(4)Phi N.
I started with the spinach/artichoke dip. It was pretty good. I think bread loaf slices would have been better than pita bread though. We also had 2 pizzas to split. I think the Forte and... I think it was teh Sole. I didn't really get to try it, but my friends liked them. I went with the Chicken Saltimbocca for my main course. It's a safe option, but was also only decent. Not fattening enough for me, hah. I also tried some of my friends' mac & cheese and filet mignon. The mac and cheese was okay; the filet was subpar. Presentation was spectacular, and service was great.

I really like the concept of restaurants using fresh produce from our local farmers! This is my second time at Ricciuti's and I definitely will return again. We ordered a seasonal appetizer.. I can't remember the name but it was eggplant and bread. The husband favored it very much but I wasn't a huge fan. The flavor of the eggplant was great and it was not mushy but I didn't like how it just sat on cold plain bread. -1 star The entrees were fabulous! We ordered the BBQ Meatloaf off the grill and the Forte pizza loaded with local sausage, red onions, feta cheese, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. The meatloaf was cooked perfectly not mushy or over done. I think my favorite part was the espresso bbq sauce. I wish they just sold it by the jar! The forte pizza was covered in all the toppings and the crust was crunchy. Loved it! I even brought the leftover for lunch today! :-X We ended dinner with Tiramisu. It wasn't heavy at all and not too sweet. I did notice it was a bit soggy? Not sure if that's normal. It was still delicious though. Will return!
(4)Amanda M.
We traveled over an hour to come to this restaurant. We ordered the Italian wedding soup, chicken saltimbocca, pizza forte and chocolate pizza. The chicken saltimbocca was really dry and almost rubbery but the flavor was good. The pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauce was too runny for my taste. I was hoping for a more extensive wine by the glass list but it was pretty small but I was glad to see that there was at least variety for the reds (merlot, shiraz, malbec, chianti, cabernet). The pizza forte was so delicious - I love the tomato sauce they use because it has whole plum tomatoes so it felt very hearty. The chocolate pizza was ok - it was a bit skimpy on the raspberry sauce and the chocolate - I was hoping it would be more gooey. Our server was attentive but our food wasn't particularly exciting.
(3)Dave M.
They try to be high-end but are truly just mediocre. I suspect that they're a really good pizza place (the pizza looked great but we didn't get it) ... but their entrees are relatively bad. Kale salad was kind of tasteless. The fried oysters were mushy. I had an empty stomach and didn't get a buzz at all from the gin and tonic which indicates relatively little alcohol. (Why do restaurants pour such lousy drinks? I mean, is an extra ounce or two really going to kill your profits? In the long run, you make less money because it makes me think twice about returning to your restaurant. Stupid.) The soft shell crabs were small and, basically, just fried. Salty and mostly shells. Pasta on the side was tasteless. Lamb and risotto special was lousy ... barely any lamb ... couldn't have been more than two ounces of shredded lamb. There was ample gristle and bone, though. And why is the food tepid? Are restaurants incapable of delivering food while it's hot? At one point, we wanted some "shaky" parmesan cheese. The waiter wasn't in the room so I went to look for him. He was sitting in the bar/kitchen area, conversing with other servers. I didn't taste the NY Strip but it looked halfway decent although it wasn't "steak house" style ... it looked gray with some funky sauce on it and a very small scoop of plain mashed potatoes and a small quantity of diced vegetables. Again, though, I didn't taste it. Dessert was nothing special at all. Bland lemon pound cake with tasteless, very small scoops of cherry ice cream. I might go back ... but only to try the pizza.
(2)Jeff P.
Such a great place for good food. Top notch service too.
(5)T M.
The pizza is good but it is on the expensive side. The waitress was nice and the service was good. They have a kids menu but we had to ask them for it for some reason. We will go back for special occasions. Ledos is a better value so we will go there more often.
(4)Jen E.
We are there last night in a large group. We told our server we had theater tickets and needed our food expedited. Long story short, over and hour later we were late for the play and the food was both terrible, late and expensive. Our server would disappear for long stretches and act annoyed when we inquired about our orders. Will definitely not return.
(1)Randy A.
Ricciuti's is becoming something of a tradition after attending shows at Olney Theater. I had the Calamari appetizer...we've all had chewy squid, right? This was PERFECT. In hindsight I could have order another and made a meal on it with a salad. But I'm glad I didn't, because the Chicken Saltimbocca was likewise delicious, just a wonderful meal with efficient service in a friendly atmosphere yet again. I can't wait to introduce this place to more of my friends.
(5)Keri K.
I usually love coming here, but our last visit was quite disappointing. We came for dinner at 6pm on a Sunday and had two small children with us. We ordered the children's food right away to keep them occupied, but it was a long wait even for that. Our poor waiter was also serving tables outside and upstairs (we were near the bar). Fortunately the mac and cheese was delicious as always. But my husband's chicken saltimbocca was really just baked chicken with little or no proscuitto. It took over an hour and a half for us to have dinner, which is difficult with little ones. When we got ready to leave, the ceiling over my son's chair started dripping. When our waiter told the manager, his response was "yeah, I know", with no apologies or offers of compensation for our experience. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be back here for awhile.
(2)A C.
Went here for Valentine's Day. Ordered the Macaroni and Cheese. It was to die for with sun dried tomatoes, smoked gouda, bacon and butternut squash. So much left over I had it for breakfast too. This place has great drinks with a very professional bartender. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate. The only thing I did not like was that I saw the restaurant staff eating and drinking. I think that should be strictly forbidden in front of the customers.
(5)Tony P.
A small quaint establishment in the middle of Olney, MD. The inside is a rustic italian decor with cozy seating. The left side of the restaurant as you enter is the pizza oven and for take-outs. The right side has a half-dozen tables for dining. I started off with fried calamari that was prepared very well. The calamari was al dente and nicely crunchy. My entree was a chicken saltimboca that was excellent. Dinner for my date and I was just under $100 total with an excellent wine.
(4)Melissa D.
Great ambiance, food, and service is very hospitable :) A great reason to come to Olney, MD :)
(4)Jason F.
This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants and a must for anyone who is in the area. All the food is made with local, fresh ingredients and you can tell. I've been here about 10 times and it has been consistently good each time. I had the brick oven pizza on my first visit; and, while I liked it, I think there are just so many better options on the menu. So, I've never ordered it again. My last visit was one of the best: started with an appetizer of the rosemary sweet potato biscuits and the butternut squash bisque. The bisque should not be passed up! I ordered the filet mignon, which was fantastic. Ricciuti's puts fried leeks on top of it, which are unreal -- so good, I crave them ever since eating this meal. My wife ordered the roasted butternut squash penne, which she loved and said that's probably all she'll ever order from now on. Deserts have also been good, especially some of the specials like the butterscotch budino (I wish it was on the menu year round). Ricciuti's is in the Olney House, which is one of the oldest houses in this area. It is completely charming and a great date spot. My wife and I bring our 2 year old son now and the restaurant is more than accommodating. I can't recommend Ricciuti's enough!
(5)Jim D.
Brick oven pizza was very doughy and didn't taste like it was cooked in the brick oven and although the menu looked creative and up scale, the presentation and delivery sucked. The calamari tasted like it was out of a box frozen. How can you screw up calamari? Very over-priced and very disappointing.
(2)Joris M.
The menu is diverse and locally-sourced. I had a filet mignon (it was my birthday, after all) that was superb, especially with the accompanying greens. There are decent non-meat options as well. The wine list is not large, but the bottles do not appear to be marked up too much. I appreciate the space. The restaurant is on two levels of a large old house, so you wind up eating in a smallish room that has just a few tables in it. This gives the place a feeling of intimacy, and keeps the noise down as well. We were lucky enough to even get a table by a fire place; nice on a Winter's night. All in all, a good place for a special dinner.
(4)Travis K.
This is a nice restaurant within the charming setting of a big old mansion. There are several small dining rooms on several levels, and the staff consists of myriad young people, some apparently teens, who are wonderfully polite and attentive to their patrons. The pizza, cooked in a wood oven, is comprised of fresh, wholesome ingredients from local sources, and is second to none. It is positively the best pizza in the area. I suggest the "Verde." The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is that I think the appetizers are a bit overpriced. For example, while the Lemon Garlic Hummus is wonderfully delicious, the serving size, consisting of about four tablespoons of hummus, is inadequate. For $8, I think the serving should be at least twice the size.
(4)C R.
Went there with great expectations with recommendation from friends who came with us. Rockfish was the worst I've ever had! Definitely not flaky and soft like it should be. It was overlooked & without much flavor. My husbands meatloaf was worse than meatloaf he's had at hospital cafeterias! Shared a Napoli Pizza which was subpar at best. My friends who have eaten here 8 other times also commented that it was the worst they've ever had! I'm all for giving restaurants another chance, but the food was so bad that I really don't care to ever go back. My friend ordered a hamburger which was supposed to come with a side of potato salad. When she inquired about it, the waiter had no clue what she was talking about! The best part of the meal was the ice water & company I was with.
(1)Anne R.
I think this is the best place in Olney to eat, hands down. They are also supporting local farmers as well as using renewable energy to power the restaraunt. The goat cheese and apple pizza is to die for in my opinion. Then chocolate pizza for dinner!! Warning...it is big enough for two!!
(5)Michael M.
Weird lay-out. Food was great, seasonal, fresh, flavorful. Had the sweet potato biscuits with local honey - fantastic, Burger - fantastic, deserts looked fantastic but didn't try any.
(4)Harry E.
I was here once. Great spot with outdoor seating. The waiter kept the water and iced tea flowing on this warm day. I got a sandwich that was very tasty, grilled chicken, pesto, sun dried tomatoes, and prosciutto. The bread it was on was overly toasted that made it very hard, dry and crunchy along the sides. The pizza that my girl had was okay, nothing to write home about. It was good but it was missing something. Thinker crust, mozzarella, and mushroom... that was about it, no garlic, no ricotta, just missing something. Overall a good meal. The dessert pizza is wonderful, but sadly we were too full to get it.
(3)Harry C.
We are regulars at Ricciuti's. The menu is imaginative and the food is consistently excellent. The pizza with apples and gorgonzola cheese is outstanding. The soups are always delicious, and the salads and entrees never disappoint.
(4)Rachel D.
Penne bolognese was very overpriced and underwhelming, the cheese hardened onto my fork within a minute and I basically had to pry it off..gross. Will not come here again.
(1)Amy S.
Quaint little place to eat if you're in Olney! Thoughtful menu with daily lunch specials. I loved the penne bolognese and their garlic cheese bread. It's in an old house...so there are great rooms in the place that make it not look like the average restaurant. There's a great fireplace in one room and even seperate upstairs room if you were having a little private get together. I'd definintely recommend it!
(4)Caroline L.
Came here on Valentine's Day and thought it was perfect. The room to your immediate right is much smaller and intimate. I got to substitute the gorgonzola for ricotta on my Basta Pizza and it was soooo good. The brick oven really does wonders. Also tried the Kitchen Burger and it was really really good! I hate onions but their caramelized onions tricks me into eating them! I just recently went for lunch and got sort of a different experience. The server was nice but not around as much. My friend and I sat around for awhile so at least we didn't feel rushed. The Kitchen Burger this time around seemed different. The patty was too tall and not wide enough. There was a good inch of bread surrounding the patty. Still, very tasty! I wish it came with something other than potato chips though. Eggplant parmigiana lunch portion was sort of small but priced right. I wish they had better parking though.
(4)Geoff G.
This is a great restaurant in Olney, MD. The owner cares about his customers, and the take-out service has always been spot on. I love the seasonal menu which allows Ricciuti's to use FRESH ingredients. The pizza is the best in the area hands down. The mac and cheese is probably my favorite dish on the menu, and I am not even a huge mac and cheese fan. They really know how to dress it up and make unique flavors with such a boring dish. I have had the lamb pizza with carmelized onions, as well as numerous make your own pizzas. My wife and I also dined in one time and I had a delicious fish entree. Halibut with a basil drizzle and my wife had the ribeye entree. Both were very good. I will continue to dine at Ricciuti's and will always order pizza from here when I am in the mood for some fresh, authentic brick oven pizza. They get 4 stars all the way in my book.
(4)Tracy O.
I first went to Ricciutis years ago, and remember good pizza and decent Italian...I don't know if they changed hands or attitudes or I just didn't notice before, but...nicely done, friends. Three Magic Foodie Words: fresh. Local. Seasonal. Yup. Highlights from this go round: sweet potato and rosemary biscuits with local honey, lots of vegetarian options (I am an omni who just really likes vegetables), penne with butternut squash and pancetta, pheasant...did I mention local and seasonal? A touch pricey, but seems reasonable for the quality of ingredients. Service a bit on the slow side, and points off for pasta having clearly sat for a bit after plating/before service. But I'll totally go back.

This was an amazing find on north GA ave! My wife and I had some amazing pizza and calamari the sweet potato biscuits were only meh but the staff was very nice and the ambiance was adorable. I will be back again.

I eat here with friends before going out to the Olney theatre. It is a great spot, but the service can be very spotty. They are young kids and some times, they make mistakes and you just want to laugh it off...food is always great. I have had the burger, the pizza, the pasta, and more. I have never been disappointed with the food. There is a full bar and the price of the food is affordable for the value. A rare gem in Olney, MD...avoid the Ale House and come to Ricciuti's! As others have said, it is a tight spot in some of the dining areas, but the food is well worth that inconvenience, too!

I almost didn't write this review because Ricciuti's used to be SO fabulous, I felt guilty leaving a not so glowing review. However, I feel the owner's should know how people feel about their food and service. I lived in Olney for years and used to go to Ricciuti's all the time because they had amazing brick oven pizza and made (and sold) the most amazing balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing. I mean it was outstanding. Fast forward several years later and I'm in town visiting and had a craving for my old stand by. My mom and sister had been there recently and had a great experience so I figured it was still great. Well, something has happened. Their pizza tastes NOTHING like it used to...I swear if I didn't know any better I'd swear they bought the pizza dough as a pre-made pizza crust as well as the sauce. The first pizza they brought out was burnt; I mean BURNT to a crisp with blackness all over it. We remarked to our waiter that "it's burnt!" who just replied, "uh, yeah." I had to literally tell him, "uh, NO. Not acceptable." They brought another one that was doughy (undercooked), overly sweet (as it had caramelized onions that were more like "sugar onions") and just nothing special at all. $20 for a pizza that's $12 and you expect better than Papa John's. It almost tastes like they got rid of the brick oven as well. The only positive (besides the still comfy atmosphere) was their Maryland Greens salad with Asian pears and gorgonzola was wonderful. Funny thing is I mentioned to someone today (who also used to live in Olney) that I went here recently and she remarked as well that she felt something happened to their pizza and that it wasn't nearly as good as before. Overall, I'm just very bummed that the "old" Ricciuti's pizza is no longer. I'm hoping they were just having a bad night.

Lived in Olney for the past couple of years. Went here last night with my wife for Valentine's Day. We started with the Arancini and was good, but I will probably try something else next time. She got the Chicken Saltimbocca for dinner and was AMAZING! I got the Penne Bolognese, and was good. The cheese made the meal. In my opinion it had to much pasta, but all his own. The seating is very nice and much different then the normal sit down. The wait staff was very nice and tended to all our needs. Kudos.

Went for dinner on a beautiful snowy night. Table of seven. We had the field greens and the kale salad to start. Both were very good. Large portion for a salad. Just add chicken and it could easily been a meal. Entrees ranged from pizza to hamburger to a pork chop. The pizzas were pretty good but a little on the pricey side for just a pepperoni and a cheese for the kids. The hamburger ordered as medium but came out well done and dry and came with a side of chips. The vegetarian chili was good but came out just warm. The pork chop was probably the best entree ordered in our party. It came in a barbecue sauced plate with a side of greens (kale I think) and a nice stewed sliced apple on top. It was juicy and very good. One of our biggest COMPLAINTS is the attitude of our server. She was not very patient with us as we were about to order as some in our group were undecided and instead of saying she'll come back in a minute, she just stood there seemingly irritated that some didn't know what they wanted. She didn't answer questions as though she had an understanding of the menu. And when we asked to split the check into two, she seemed put off and didn't even get it right when the check came out. We had to get her to redo the check. Incidentally the evening would have been better had the server been more professional and nicer.

The decor is trendy and nice. I felt like our waitress wasn't very nice or accommodating, she made a face at some of my questions. We had the calamari, Forte pizza, and goat cheese and caramelized onions pizza. My husband really loved the calamari, I felt like it was too deep fried. My husband enjoyed the Forte pizza. The goat cheese and caramelized onions pizza was good, but didn't blow me away. In summary, my husband liked it and would give it 4 stars...but I was not as impressed.

Ambience very nice - quiet, not pretentious. Good for dates or families with kids. Menu contains interesting variety. We had pizza with goat cheese, sausage and roasted peppers and a veggie chili with sweet potatoes and beans. Shared both dishes, maybe not the best combination but both were good. Service was great - friendly, young staff. We'll be back next time we're in Olney.

Ricciuti's is a decent restaurant with a cool vibe - especially considering it's taken up residence in the historic Olney House which, reputedly, is haunted as hell. Sit in the front dining room by the hearth & (if you're a level one empath like me) you'll definitely feel an eerie chill. But, enough of ghosts -- on to the food: I like that they are seasonally inspired & that they feature lots of local farm produce, meat & cheeses & beers & wines, too. That is Awesome. But, what comes out of the kitchen is often inconsistent. There are some stars for sure -- the mac & cheese is dressed up with roasted vegetables & it's a hearty, comforting meal on a cold night. I also love their field greens salad dressed with a lovely vinaigrette, pears, walnuts & the zing of gorgonzola -- this has been on the menu for years & I hope it stays. The pizzas are generally the winner here - a lovely, thin crust & cooked in the wood fire oven. You can tell, too, that the toppings are first rate - especially the sausage they use. But the sweet potato & rosemary biscuits (which sound heavenly) are super small sometimes dry -- they perk up with a healthy slathering of butter. I wonder, too, if the calamari (a heaping dish of tiny little rings) is fresh or frozen. The pies leave a lot to be desired, too -- with crusts that must have come out of a package. The bar, too, is a great place to come & relax. Friendly bartenders, nice selection of wines & beers. Classier than the Greene Turtle across the way. So, some hits, some misses - if they nix all the suspicious frozen products from their menu, this would be a four star experience without question - even with the ghosts.

Stopped in for a nice dinner for 2 with my girlfriend. The service was great, as was the atmosphere. I just can't co-sign on the pizza! The quality of ingredients was very good, and I can appreciate that it's as local as possible; but the execution just wasn't working for me. I'd like to give the pasta a shot next time. Kudo's for the impressive beer and wine selection. Fair warning: The beer and wine are a bit expensive for what they are... but if you wanted to save money, you'd eat at home, right?

I was very pleasantly surprised by my recent dinner at Ricciuti's. I've driven by this place numerous times and equated it to Bertucci's because of the "brick oven pizza" moniker. My mistake. The wine list had great choices--I had a nice glass of organic gerwurztraminer and my husband had a peroni. The beer list wasn't too shabby, either; I liked seeing hoegaarden on tap. We split the calamari for appetizer, which was the only real misstep of the night. It consisted of only rings and not tentacles, and was really uniform and reminded me of something I could buy in the freezer aisle at the grocery store. The breading was very bread crumby and not batter-y and I was underwhelmed. The accompanying marinara was tasty, but not enough to save the dish. My husband had an alaskan king salmon special ($25) that he really liked. It was well cooked and tasty. I had two small plates as my entree, roasted beets with a local goat cheese and a salad with dates, walnuts and blue cheese. Both were phenomenal. The vinaigrette dressing on the salad was perfectly balanced and tasted wonderful. We finished our meal with a slice of blueberry pie with mascarpone cinnamon ice cream. The pie filling was tasty but the crust was tough. The ice cream was icy but tasted good. I am looking forward to coming back and exploring the menu.

I'm one who's all about finding great local fare. Having recently moved to the DC/Metro Area, I spend all my free time finding quaint gems like Ricciuti's. My friend and I were on our way to grab some gelato and just so happen to drive pass this place. We were both hungry and decided to give it a try. We were happily surprised with the indoor decor but opted to eat outside since it was so beautiful out. As an early dinner, we had calamari, greek salad, shrimp fritata, and a bottle of wine. The food was excellent but what really sets Ricciuti's apart is the fact that EVERYTHING on their menu comes from local farms. From their eggs to their asparagus, everything is home grown and I love that! Their services was wonderful, the ambiance was lovely, and the food was delicious. They have the trifecta of everything you need in a great dining experience so give Ricciuti's a try!!

Had a lovely "girls night out" there recently. The noise level was perfect for conversation. I'm afraid if the bar section was full, we would have been sitting too close to another group of guests, but on a Wednesday night the place was not too crowded. The highlights of the evening was most certainly the affordable wine selections (plenty of bottles around $25) and dessert pizza! The chocolate pizza with assorted fruit is to die for! It comes with 8 pieces, so there was plenty left over for breakfast. A little pricey, but a nice escape from the fast casual options of Olney.

Really loved Ricciuti's. The restaurant is lovely, quiet, and located in a colonial house, but trust me the space inside is romantic, intimate, and beautifully arranged with tasteful décor and furnishings. The service? Wonderful. You will not only be greeted by a charming hostess the waitress is extremely attentive. She checked on us frequently and was very polite and friendly. Two busboys were seated by the window seats on the way out the door and they thanked us for visiting with smiles. I missed Ricciuti's before I got out the door. I don't think I've ever gone to a restaurant and gotten such a warm and friendly feeling as Ricciuti's. And honestly, if Ricciuti's was bigger I'd consider having a wedding banquet there. As for the food, the butternut squash soup was as good as they get. It was the right temperature, right consistency, and taste. It was sweet, creamy, and filling. While it was a bit on the pricey side for me, for $7 I'd say the amount was just right too. My friend and I each had the butternut squash soup and a 12 inch Verde Pizza. The pizza and toppings were yummy and tasty, but the crust was a little too brick oven for me. I like soft, chewy, and buttery crust. The crust on Ricciuti's pizza was dryer than I liked and did not have a real flavor of its own, but as a whole the flavor of the toppings made it one of the best pizzas I've had. The 12 inch Verde was $16, but we only ended up eating half of it. If you are planning to visit Ricciuti's and enjoy great food without breaking the bank, I suggest getting an appetizer, soup, or salad for each of two and then order a 10 inch or 12 inch pizza depending on how hungry you are. Pros: Service Taste Romantic and sophisticated atmosphere Outdoor seating when it's warm Cons: Can get pricey Crust fans will be disappointed

Wow! This place was so adorably cute! It reminded me of the quaint gastropubs we frequented in England. The food was delicious, and I love that the produce, meat, eggs and dairy are local. We took a friend here for her last night in the states. She and I had the chicken and waffles, and my husband ordered the apple and gorgonzola pizza. Both entrees were very good, but not 5 star. The dessert, however, was out of this world! She and I had coffee creme brulee and he had the honey poppyseed bread pudding. I would have loved to linger by the fireplace over a bottle of wine, but it was a Monday night. The only negative comment I have is that our waitress was super attentive to the two iced teas on the table, and refilled them 4-5 times, but I was out of water for the entire meal. The service was a little on the slow side, which didn't matter at all to us, since we were enjoying hanging out with our friend, but we will keep this in mind if we are planning anything else for the same evening.

I'm giving Ricciuti's in Olney 2 stars because it wasn't disgusting, but it wasn't good either. I'm completely disappointed with my experience here tonight. When I read on the menu that so much of the ingredients are locally-sourced, and that the menu is seasonal (according to the front sign), I got really excited. However, this was a firm reminder that even great local ingredients can be ruined by an incompetent kitchen staff. There is nothing inherent in an eggplant that is grown 15 miles down the road that will stop the cook (I would not call them a chef) from completely ruining an eggplant parmesan. And ruin they did. My mother got the eggplant parmesan, and it was completely overbreaded. I'm actually not convinced there was any eggplant in there, because I couldn't get past the soggy breading to actually find any eggplant. And they completely buried the breaded monstrosity in so-so sauce. Pasta overcooked. I ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca. The chicken was OK, although a bit tough to cut with the normal knife they provide. My bigger problem was the "pan sauce" that is listed on the menu. I was envisioning the pan that the chicken was cooked in being de-glazed with some wine and lemon, and reduced to a SAUCE. Hence the term PAN SAUCE. This was straight liquid. There was nothing saucy about it. If it said "pan juice" that would have been more accurate. What also would be accurate would be to describe the chicken and pasta as soggy from the juice, which was relatively flavorless. A third accurate statement would be that the pasta was overcooked. Service was terrible. There were 8 of us, which is not really an unmanageable size. What was weird was that there was a party of 10 directly next to us and they arrived after we did, and left before we did! Not just because we were shootin'-the-...stuff. Can I curse on here? Except for me, our entire table was drinking wine, but we kept having to chase the waitress down for another bottle. I really don't get that--more alcohol sold=bigger tip! She also probably could have sold me FOUR $10-$12 drinks (I wasn't driving), but didn't, because she didn't stop by our table once to do anything but drop off the food. She didn't refill the water glasses until asked specifically. I guess she did me a favor because the drinks tasted good, but didn't contain a drop of liquor. I had the Snowball Martini (not sure where the tablespoon of grenadine comes into play in a snowball...) and some spiked cider drink that was unremarkable with next to no vodka or rum. Mmmm expensive apple juice was what it was. Unfortunately I was not paying for my own meal, because I would have made it clear in my tip that the service was unsatisfactory. Everyone else was tipsy enough to not care and tip 20%+ anyway. Personal appeal to waitress: I didn't like it when you hit me in the head with the tray of plates cleared off the table next to ours, and other people probably won't either. Avoid this at all costs.

I've driven past this restaurant countless times in the past two years and after my first experience, I might keep driving next time. To be fair, I loved that their ingredients are local and the beet salad was good, if skimpy on the beets. My husband's porterhouse pork with espresso bbq sauce was flavorful and well-cooked, but for $23, it would have been nice to have a starch or vegetable along with it. I had high hopes for the rockfish, but the best part about it was the crispy fish skin and the side of wild mushrooms. It all lay on a bed of overcooked, wan orzo. I know that fresh, local food costs more, but this meal wasn't worth it. Based on other reviews, perhaps we should have stuck with the wood fired pizza. Since we live close by, we'll probably go back to try it before totally writing this place off. Oh, and the interior is slightly bizarre with faux castle stone-looking stuff on the walls. If they had stuck with the homey, cute look that's on the outside, it would have been more charming.

If you're looking for a nicer dining experience in Olney, Ricciuti's doesn't disappoint. The inside is incredibly cozy, modernly decorated, and inviting. I think I've been seated in different rooms each time I've been here. As nice as it is inside, I'd like to give the tables outside a try. Ricciuti's has a menu full of interesting Italian dishes. They are also known for their wood-fired brick oven pizzas, which, anytime I've had them, have been baked to perfection. Had the basta pizza last time - besides the basics, it had mushrooms, artichoke hearts, and gorgonzola. Excellent combination of ingredients. Pair your dish with a glass of wine and you are set!

Still my favorite after 10 years... Local, authentic and reasonably priced. I like the atmosphere too.

THANK YOU YELPERS - found out about this place throgh you and tried it out today for a Saturday lunch with a friend. I liked everything about it. First the food: The bloody mary to start was just the right amount of spicy, vodka and juice with generous olives and lime to support it. The bread is very good and the butter is super good - just a little faint taste of honey...not like the honey butter in some places that is cloying and ruins the bread. My chicken and prosciutto (sans the prosc) sandwich was delicious - nice warm breast pieces (not one big hunk) surrounded in provolone, pesto, roasted red peppers and romaine on a yummy soft piece of foccaccia. The portion was so big I had to bring half of it home for dinner! Second, the people/service was perfect. Friendly, casual, warm, and attentive but not too much so. Third, the ambiance is nice. Last and maybe most importantly, the owners have built this restaurant to showcase local producers of everything from the beef to veggies to the Maryland wines. It's a rare treat in upper Montgomery County if you are interested in the slow/organic/etc food movement. I will most definitely go back. Just wish it were a bit closer to our house.

Ricciuti's sits in an unassuming white-painted house amongst the sprawl of shopping centers in Olney. The restaurant provides a variety of menu options that belie a run-of-the-mill pizza-based restaurant. As a plus for organic-/green-conscious diners, the restaurant is wind-powered and its ingredients are organic. The interior is a strong contrast from the almost run-down exterior. It's a bit fancy, yet casual enough to be comfortable in after-work wear. Lighting is just a bit muted to create an intimate atmosphere. Upon entering the house, we were greeted by hostesses who were friendly and eager to help. The restaurant was about half-full for a week night dinner We ordered two dishes. One of them was a grilled Hawaiian Tuna. The menu says this dish is only served rare, but ours was more of a medium to medium-rare. Even with the tuna slightly overcooked this item was a gem and came with cucumber salad, cucumber sorbet (unsweetened), and sparse lines of sriricha. The presentation and quality of the dish was gourmet (including portioning). The contrasting flavors and textures: hot and cold, mild and spicy, tender and crunchy; dance on the tongue. I was left wanting more after we finished the plate. Our other dish was the Apple & Gorgonzola pizza. Though not quite as enticing as the tuna we were happy with the brick-oven taste of the dish. The pizza overall was surprisingly hearty for a vegetarian item and tasty. Our waiter was average, but our food arrived more quickly than expected. I'm looking forward to dining at this restaurant again. It's a well-run establishment with an engaging selection of dishes. Flavors are relatively subtle; I would suggest another restaurant if you're in the mood for something more straightforward. Recommended for anyone in Olney looking for a classy place to eat.

Service was great and the outdoor seating made for a relaxing meal. The pizza was pretty good, but not Earth shattering. The garlic bread was a bust as were the spring rolls. Maybe because it was one of the last nights we could sit and eat outside comfortably that I'm kindly giving it three stars. Honestly, I doubt I'm going back.
(3)Joan K.
Used to live in Olney and this is probably one of the very few decent places to eat. Really like the food here. Tried to go last week a few minutes after 9 and we were turned away because the were closed. I've never heard of a restaurant in this area that closed at 9....pretty ridiculous.
(3)Stephen H.
A truly great place to have a nice meal and choose from a wide variety of options. One of the first things I noticed was their banner outside proclaiming that they receive 100% wind energy. Since they also have fresh ingredients straight from the Farmer's Market, this is a really appealing restaurant for those hardcore "greens" out there. They also have an extensive wine list, though I was slightly disappointed that there is no beer on tap. The pizzas are wonderful and imaginative, which is indeed refreshing if you're used to the chain restaurants. Overall I would recommend this place highly and will frequent this establishment in the future,

chocolate pizza. that's all.

Here's the thing about Ricciuti's - the clientele is so upbeat that it improves the experience at this about average restaurant. Last night (Wednesday) I met a friend there for dinner at about 7:30 and the place was busy, but not crowded. The weather was great and everybody sitting on the spacious patio and in the dining rooms inside seemed happy and friendly. Maybe they were all regulars; I don't know. But, several people just said hi when I glaced at them. Since I hadn't been to this place in several years, I was a little confused as to where the host or hostess would be. A little lectern is hidden in an alcove, but nobody was there. Many young people with Ricciutti T-Shirts whizzed by, but none stopped and acknowledged me standing in the way.I headed for what I assume is the take-out bar within site of the lectern, and asked the young man behind the bar if there was a host or hostess. "Yes," he said, pretty defensively,"But we're very busy." That was it. I went back to the lectern and a young woman eventually whizzed by with a tray, saying, "I'll be right back, okay?" To which, I nodded. Eventually another young woman got behind the lectern, and to tell you the truth, they all had long brown hair; I couldn't tel if she was the same one, so I just asked. She took care of me. I had the Ceasar Salad (way over-dressed but very fresh) and the Chicken Saltimbocca. I wish I had read Amanda M.'s review before ordering. The chicken was tasty but not anywhere near what real Saltimbocca should be, the pasta side was definitely past al dente and the white wine sauce was watery and flavorless. Our waiter was flawless, though, and the atmosphere was wonderful.

I almost drove right past this place while trying to find it, it looks pretty much like an old white house, in the best way possible. I loved my waitress, she was exactly what a waitress should be. And our food was delicious - we had the Briana pizza, which is a white pizza that was surprisingly tasty, and also the Macaroni and Cheese which was the best pasta I've had in forever, nothing like the Kraft Mac 'n Cheese I'm used to! I loved this place, perhaps I'm too generous with my stars, but my friend and I had an awesome experience.

All time favorite restaurant!

I've been to Ricciuti's several times and it was always an outstanding experience. The dining room has a warm and intimate atmosphere. The pizza is really good (coming from a New Yorker, that means a lot) as well as the other entrees (such as the hanger steak with peanut sauce).
(4)Maria P.
I too live in Olney, and it's so convenient to order a filet that tastes just as good as Morton's or Ruths Chris. The staff is awesome and friendly. Great place for a nice dinner.

Rude and Obnoxious from start to finish Went in for Lunch, empty tables all over, the hostess ignored me for 10-15 mins until I asked if I seated myself she told me only seats are in the bar area or wait 15 more mins for the empty tables. We sat at the bar; very loud my grilled sandwich (took 45 mins to get) was all raw and cold. Didn't see my waiter again until the bill came. If you have several hours for lunch might be ok, if not don't eat there.

Funny story: I made a reservation for Valentine's Day this year at Ricciuti's. Seemed like a nice place to pick, reviews online indicated it was good. On the day itself, we drove over after work, only to find it was closed! Their power had gone out (the weather was admittedly not good). Boo. Home for spaghetti on Valentine's Day. BUT! The next day, a manager at the restaurant actually called me to apologize for being closed. They offered me a gift certificate, I decided to give it another try, and I moved the reservation to that Friday. Parking is plenty, although it's easy to drive right by the restaurant if you're unfamiliar with the area. You can see the brick pizza oven when you step inside--it's warm and welcoming. They seemed fairly busy, but were quick to seat us upstairs in front of a (unfortunately) non-working fireplace. There were a few candles in it, at least. The ambiance was very nice, not too noisy, and I was glad I had dressed up (although some other people weren't very dressy). We had salad first, which was good, fairly standard. then I had the apple and gorgonzola pizza. Nice crispy crust, and it had that wood-fired taste. Excellent. My date had the ostrich with mushrooms--fairly unusual, and he said it was very good. After dinner, we had to get the tiramisu, which was pretty much perfect. Our server was good, checked in once, but mostly stayed out of the way, and when we got our bill at the end, our drinks weren't on it! He said he felt sorry that we missed Valentine's Day. We also were able to use the promised gift certificate, which brought the cost of the meal down to half of what it would have been. In conclusion: even though I had a bit of a bias against them, they won me over, and were extremely gracious about trying to make it up to me. A great date place, and a good place to bring anyone else you want to impress.

Housed in the Olney House c.1800s (the actual home that Olney got its name from, not the other way around), this place has tons of charm. Pizza Forte is my favorite. Kitchen can be slow at times because of its size (1800s house=small kitchen). The fresh bread makes up for it. Great martini list.

Being from Olney, i do really like this place. The pizza is really good, their calzones are excellent, they actually have good steaks and i got a jerk chicken the other day that was quite tasty, and their atmosphere is very nice also. The house they are located in is super old and was once the town hall I believe. It is a good romantic little place, they have outside seating in the summer, good place for wine and pizza on summer nights. The owner is really nice and friendly with all his customers. I recommend this place, check it out for a nice over all dinning experience.
(4)Johnny B.
This restaurant redesigned itself a few years ago and has obviously taken some advice from an expert. All of the food and ingredients they use are produced within 20 miles of the restaurant. They understand what makes food taste good. Freshness. Well done Ricciuti's, I didn't think it was going to make it initially but this place has really stepped up their game.
(4)Bettie P.
The food is good, but really overpriced. And the service leaves a lot to be desired.
(2)Rashida M.
We were able to make a reservation an hour before. The service was good and our server gave us some good recommendations for our first visit. We ordered calamari for an appetizer which I thought was delicious. We also ordered the 10' Pizza Sole which was split between three people and my sis ordered the butternut squash bisque. I enjoyed everything, but I would've enjoyed the pizza more if it was made with chicken breast instead of dark meat. The couple sitting next to us ordered a salad which looked amazing. I can't wait to go back and try other things. I really like the fact they use local, seasonal food. I would like to up my rating to 4 or 5 stars, so we will see after my next visit.

Out trying very hard to celebrate our anniversary my wife and I just had the misfortune of trying this restaurant and suffered the worst dining experience ever. The very sad part is that the food was reasonably good but the service was awful and got worse as we made our way through each course. Our waiter seemed untrained and thought plates were unnecessary and when he disappeared I was forced to go beg for them from who turned out to be the manager. Our entrees next showed up before the salad we had ordered and when I finally got the salmon I had ordered it was luke warm because obviously it was my fault that the waiter forgot my salad and it was unreasonable to keep it warm or to cook me a fresh one. it was incredibly disappointing buy the most expensive item on the menu to have it show up soggy and half cold. in making our reservation we had we requested a quiet table but somehow we were stuck at a table next to a couple who gave their loud toddler the run of the room but that only mattered because everything else was so abominably bad that this was just the last straw. obviously they did not read the request we had made on our on line reservation. With all of this going on I thought at some point the manager would have come up to apologize but I only found out the he was the manager when I asked the equally rude and uncaring young blond at the entrance. When I had gone looking plates earlier I had in fact been talking to the manager but he obviously wasn't interested in talking to me and made no attempt to make things right. It would seem that the waiter was not to blame, with no expectation of excellence from management you get something far short of acceptable customer service. for the record I had been a loyal patron of this restaurant, enjoying their incredible pizza but it you are looking for fine dining for a special occasion, my advice is to head on out a little further on Georgia Avenue where there is a genuine understanding of what fine dining is all about. These guys ruined what should have been a great and special evening and those pizzas are not good enough for me to want to show up there again. I can go anywhere to be treated poorly, I will find a place that cares about service.

good pizza. it was exotic to me compared to the typical chain pizza from other places. although the chef would resent me for saying this but picture bertucci then u can picture how the pizza looks like here. good quality pizza. no tomato sauce on the one i ordered which was pizza bianco. so i liked it since i am not fan of that red sauce. the chick salad with vinegret was good too. the grilled chicken had smoke flavor for me to savor and the sear on the outside with the grill mark. yes, that is the way of grilling. parking is very convinient. inside resemble a resential house. very attentive serving staff. sorry i guys that is all we had so i can not comment on other food. but on the way out, i saw tiramisu and it looked good. juicy and layers of finger cookie. dark enough layer to indicate maybe a trace of espresso. maybe i should have tried it or maybe not. oh well..
