One word of advice: go to Five Guys instead. You would be crazy to go here instead. The prices are way too high and the food is not very good. The fries are terrible (especially with Five Guys just around the corner). The worst part about this place is the burgers. This is a shame because it is called Cheeburger Cheeburger, which makes you think it should be known for it's burgers. The burgers are tasteless, dry and almost fall apart. I love burgers and couldn't even finish mine. The one saving grace is the awesome decor, followed by the good yet overpriced milkshakes. Not worth going to in my opinion and unappetizing to boot.

Soooooo yummy!! If you're craving a good old fashion burger, this is the spot! The service was awesome and the menu tour the waitress gave us was impressive. The milkshakes are out of this world (chocolate peanut butter is my favorite). The atmosphere is cute and very family friendly. Will definitely be back.

The restaurant was dirty. Floors were stained and tables were sticky. The milkshakes were runny. Had half a banana in mine since the blender wasn't able to "crush" it. They brought me a second one. Just as runny as the first one minus the banana. My burger was overcooked and the buns were stale. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Ordered the portobello mushroom burger as takeout. When I opened the burger, all the cheese was on the side struck to the wrap - yet it was tightly wrapped. The bun was cheap/didn't taste good at all. The only reason I started eating it was because I was hungry, and there was mushrooms and jalapeños in it. But I couldn't finish it...the bun was soaked through and soggy, carelessly made. It makes a Burger King burger taste good. This is the junk we feed our kids? Disappointed.

I don't know why this place is rated 3 stars, it's so good! Forget 5 guys... u can go out to eat with your hunny bun for 20 bucks here, and enjoy the lovely romantic 50s music. Their onion rings are sooo good and their fries are so salty and yummy. They have over 30 flavors of milkshakes, and their burgers are always cooked on point. If you want a fun classic place to go to, I definitely recommend getting a cheeburger at cheeburger cheeburger :)

You gotta love a place that serves your drinks in mason jars right? I love their '50s theme and strong customer service. This is my go-to Mommy/Daughter date night restaurant, and they never disappoint. The food is delicious! I don't know what's so special about the onion rings, but they are a true treat for your tastebuds. The fries are pretty good, too. The various sauces they have are a great accompaniment to their sides, too. I won't lie -- I get the burgers as a vehicle for their seasoning. I don't know what's in it, but it's delicious. I can never get enough of it. Having said that, the burgers are pretty tasty. They have quite a few sides to choose from, so that might be a bit daunting at first. Just experiment until you find what you like.

I was waiting for a real estate settlement and I got up to the area a little earlier than I expected so I was hunting around for a place to grab a quick bit that wasn't Mickey D's and wasn't ultra swank or expensive. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. I had been to the one in Annapolis but that was always crowded and it was kinda small. This one had plenty of space and it wasn't that crowded when I got there so I got seated right away. I love the ambiance of this place. It's a throw back to the old soda fountain days of the '50s and '60s. It's done well without being overbearing. The waitress was friendly and very low key on the up sell which is nice. The cheeseburger I got was really very tasty and cooked exactly as I ordered it. I also got a chocolate shake which, needless to say, was delicious and plentiful. They have a gazillion different flavors of shakes but I thought I would stick with the tried and true. The fires were great. Crispy and not too oily. All in all, it's a great place for an old fashioned burger and shake or whatever.

I don't know why this place has such good reviews. Our waitress was very nice, but the food is average. ALL of our burgers were overcooked and burned on the outside The fries are gross. The rings were good. The shakes were watery and somewhat bland. It's been 6 years since we have eaten here, it will probably be another 6.

I love going to Cheeburger. Always good for a burger and shake. My favorite shake is banana split and I must have tried at least ten other ones. I like all of the crazy toppings they offer for the burgers, such as pineapples, coleslaw, and peanut butter. The servers are always very young so sometimes they don't have the experience. I've only had an issue once that was big enough to discuss with the manager. He took care of it to my satisfaction so no big deal. Make sure to join their mailing list. I often receive coupons.

The service here was horrible I had to sit myself. I understand if they were busy but no one was kind enough to say we will attend you in a moment. Instead everyone looked at me strangely. Not only that but my waitress was horrible she barely attended me and she messed up my order. The food wasn't all that great. I would rather go to five guys instead. The shakes at chick fil-a are much better. If you were to go at least get take out the service was very disappointing.

It's only the burgers that make my review go from two to three stars. I have patronized this place since it opened & one of my kid's friends worked here. I feel sorry for the waitstaff since the friend told me that she was only paid $2.10 per hour. I thought that was too low because restaurants are only allowed to pay waitstaff less than minimum wage if the hourly wage + tips = min wage. It is obvious that nobody will be making min wage here. The milkshakes used to be excellent - thick and tasty. Something has changed since now they are bland and watery and I no longer order them. The burgers I've had both in-house & carry out - they are better than any other carry out place in Olney, but I can go to the Olney Tavern or Dave's on 1/2 price burger night & get a platter for less than what I pay here. The onion rings have been sooo greasy lately that I feel sort of sick after I have eaten several. The fries with cheese dip are good but plain fries are not good at all. When it first opened the food was so much better than it is now.

We ordered takeout on line. The order was ready when promised. My wife's semi-serious burger was very good - made as ordered and very moist. My salmon burger was pretty good for a pre-made salmon patty. I would order it again sometime. What really annoyed me was when I got home and unpacked the food, the takeout slip said Turkey Burger for my sandwich in big black letters. Further down the list it said Salmon and the order was correct, but the agida I got from thinking that they gave me the wrong sandwich because their computer is weird just wasn't worth it. Next time it's Five Guys.

Cheeburger Cheeburger in Olney, MD has a 50's theme decor. Their primary offering is a classic style build your own burger. They do offer a variety of salads and other dishes, but the main focus is the burger. They have many different cheeses and toppings to choose from. My favorite is the "semi-serious" burger with pepper jack cheese and bacon. So if you are in Olney, and you feel like having a burger, this is a great place to go. The french fries and onion rings are also very tasty. However, don't get them for take out because they always get really soggy and wet from the moisture in the bag, essentially making them inedible.
(4)
Victoria B.
The burgers and fries are not worth the price. The fries, in fact are kind of gross. I have fry-cravings, and even then they don't taste good to me. I'm not sure why Olney food is so gross. Maybe it has to do with the overly chlorinated water. The decor and the location are the only reason for 2 stars even.
(2)
Kevin M.
The employees are so-so. I've been here plenty of times. I've gotten a couple of waitresses who were a little too eager to help, and then some who were total crap. The prices are high, and without reason. The fries suck. I don't know why they call them "famous". I've never heard anyone talk about them. Actually, everybody loves their onion rings. They are a primo choice. The burgers often seem poorly made. They fall apart too easily, and the bun to meat ratio is out of whack. You end up with 60% of your burger remaining with no bun left. They put too much onion on your burger.
(3)
Melbourne B.
Compared to five guys way better. So many selections to customize your burger or whatever you decide to get. The price is steep compared to other burger joints, but if you're curious try it out.

I'm a big fan of the Olney area and I think this place really fills a niche in Olney. The food is good. The waitstaff are almost all kids from Sherwood HS which is down the road which give the restaurant a true local, small town feel. Every time my family has been here the staff have been young, polite, and earnest. I will say that the restaurant itself is looking a little rough around the edges. It's a great place for families and Wed. is Kids/Families night w/ entertainment & discounted kids meal. It should be noted however that I believe the promotion is only for people seated before a certain time b/c by the time my family got there at around 7:00PM all of that seemed to be over and we certainly did not get discounted kids meals.

Great place for the family! Burgers are good - with many fixings available - as you like em. Kids like the burgers, the shakes and the picture on the wall for eating the 1 pounder.

Not a big fan of the "famous" fries they become soggy sometimes when they are served. The burger quality seems to have dwindled lately not sure why, they once were one of my favorites. But the onion rings and the milk shakes are great, especially the reeses milkshake.
(3)
Will W.
Since the place is named Cheeburger Cheeburger, you would expect that they do cheeseburgers really well. Wrong! The meat is somewhat tasteless and the roll has a dry, almost stale taste. The good news is that the veggie burger is actually not bad and the onion rings are excellent in a greasy kind of way.
(2)
Joshua R.
This place makes great burgers with a very large selection of toppings. The fries are very good and not too crispy and taste like they are fresh cut. I love the different sauces for dipping but my favorite is the horseradish sauce. Time to time the service can be slow but this is a great place for the kids to be themselves and enjoy the food.

Don't know what all the rave is about these burger joints but I dont see it. Reminds me of a child friendly Studabakers in Rockville. Anyone remeber those days? Burgers are not too good. I ordered a burger to find out they do not cook the burgers less then medium but its more like medium well. The only good thing about this place was the Milk Shakes. I got a large chocolate and it was wonderful. I dont know if its worth the 5 bucks but I'd go back for one of them. The fries and onion rings are good if you'd like to clog your arteries. Dipping sauce for the onion rings taste good. I'll be back next summer for a shake but I'll be eating my burgers at Fuddruckers.

The shakes are really good if you can afford the calories. My favorite is the Strawberry cheesecake shake. They even give you the "extra" in the silver cup they made it in. They can make 33+ flavors. Too many LOUD kids there.

Good hamburger... that's it! Way overpriced! Fries terrible, one of the fries was half burnt black, so we returned it and asked for a refund. The waitress was terrible had an attitude specially after we returned the fries. We didn't see the refund on the ticket we asked her and she disdainfully told us it's there (which it was, but that's not the way to talk to a costumer). oh and also the Strawberry Shake tasted nothing like strawberry! They have really added to their menu the past few years to accommodate a range of customers. Now, they offer salmon burgers, salads, all size burgers, wraps, etc. Cheeburger has an excellent menu. Although it is a franchise, the Olney Cheegburger is one of my favorite locations I've been to. The wait staff is always so friendly, attentive, and enthusiastic. My brother Bert, who is mentally challenged, is very particular about his order. The waiters always take special care of him and make him feel so loved. He always begs me to take him to Cheeburger when I'm home. I love Cheeburger's unique 50's Diner theme; they keep it in tact. They give trivia cards at the table and offer a huge range of milkshakes.
