pretty tasty local place! if you judge places on their cole slaw, then this slaw will not disappoint! definitely the best slaw i have had all summer!! i have had sandwiches to take to assateague, as well as a decent rib dinner with sides for only $14.00!! definitely beats the ocean city prices and they give you quite a bit of food for your money.

Good food! Good stuff! Especially if you love smoked BBQ food. Go for the pulled chicken sandwich! So juicy and tasty! Orgasmic! Reasonably priced! Just be prepared to wait a moment before the food is ready.
(4)Fumista O.
Super good! I'm glad that we stopped by here. Beans also good! We will come back again.
(5)Steve W.
I was very pleasantly suprised by the meals we got at Smoker's. We went on a whim on a week night looking for something quick and simple with the kids. The only draw back to this place was that it was busy and this caused to have to wait 15 to 20 minutes but it was worth the wait. I got a half rack of ribs platter with beans, onion rings and corn bread (calories be damned) and it was all good. The ribs come smoked and then you get to choose from a variety of sauces to eat them with. I got the standard sweet bbq and it was excellent. I also got to try a bite of a pulled pork bbq sandwich and it was even better than the ribs. We ate on the screened in porch to the side and the tables were clean. Don't go here if your expecting the Chez Paris treatment, this place is just bare bones good food either at picnic tables or to go. I will definitely be back.
(4)Chris B.
Fantastic food, but expensive for a little barbecue joint. Avoid going at peak meal hours when it gets packed!

There is only one word that comes to mind when I think of Smoker's BBQ Pit...... and that word is YUM! Wow, what a treat..... from fried chicken, to smoked chicken.... from baby back ribs to pulled pork... this place really know what's it's doing when it comes to the art of barbecue..... the home made side dishes and cornbread are awesome too! They've got it down pat. They have a breakfast menu as well, and a kid's menu....

I am a huge fan of Carolina BBQ. A few weeks ago I stopped in and tried the Carolina BBQ Sandwich here. Oh my God. It reminded me of Bubba's BBQ in Hatteras. I love it. I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs to take home to my son and he devoured them. The employees are very nice and friendly and there is a ton of seating.
(5)Ryan T.
Cheap prices and fantastic BBQ, try the sweet Carolina sauce
(5)Kwame C.
The pork sandwich was very good with the baked beans.
(5)John S.
Greatest BBQ place around. We go there every time we are in the neighborhood.
(5)Stacy G.
Great BBQ, super cas, you eat on screened in porch. We come every year.
(4)Mike D.
Good smoked food, but ribs are pricy for the portion/size. Great sandwiches. The fried chicken is supposedly the good old fashioned type cooked in good old peanut oil, but I haven't tried it. Would have given it a higher rating if weren't for the portion to price (somewhere around 18-20 bux for a rack of ribs). This is smoked food not to be compared with grilled (there is a nice smoky taste but no flame-grilled taste). Good sides and breakfast are available as well. Screened porch "dining room" with a few picinic tables. Many people get it to go. Worth the drive if you are looking for smoked food in OC.
(4)Jon W.
Really happy to find this place, since options for getting even a decent meal in Ocean City are very limited. This place is good. Brisket was tasty, Carolina BBQ got better the more I ate, and the collards were better than any I had in South Carolina last week. Mac & cheese was solid. Wife got Cajun fish sandwich and that was just ok.
(4)Chuck J.
Greens, brisket, cream of crab soup, pork BBQ w/ red sauce, mac & cheese all excellent choices. Dont bother with the pit beef or fries.
(5)Matt W.
my favorite place for BBQ used to be a place on Bainbridge Island near Seattle but I can Smokers' is now my number 1. everything is very reasonably priced. meat is always cooked perfectly, so tender and very balanced in seasoning (you can add extra sauce as well, available for free with the condiments). I tend to order the same thing when I come here: pulled pork sandwich, pint of baked beans, pint of baked apples, and two pieces of cornbread. if I could afford to, I would eat here every single day, I swear.
(5)Russell R.
While vacationing in Ocean City, MD this passed Summer, my family decided we were hungry for some ribs so we checked out Smoker's. We got one of the family meal deals, which worked out great! The price was right and the food was very good. We got ribs and chicken. I enjoyed the sides, including the potato salad. The cornbread was especially delicious! If you're in or around the OCMD area, give Smoker's a try.
(4)Laura P.
This is my favorite place to eat, bar none. We first heard about it when the Washington Post called it the best bbq in the DC-MD-VA area years ago. They weren't kidding. I'm currently trying to convince my fiance to let me ask them if they cater weddings but he thinks bbq and formal wear might not be a good combination. Their bbq is obviously great, but try the sweet corn bites and the tomato-cucumber salad as sides as well. They're *delicious*. I'm not a fan of Carolina-style bbq in general (so I've never tried theirs), but the Texas-style red sauce is perfection and they do sell by the pint which freezes well and will last you until they open up again next year. We take full advantage of this at the end of every season. If you like bbq and you're in the OC area you NEED to stop at Smokers. Though fair warning: it may put you off all mediocre bbq places for good.
(5)John F.
Some of the best pit BBQ I've had outside of Texas! I had the brisket and pulled pork combo, while my wife had the ribs. It was all succulent and juicy, with great smokey flavor. They really care about their meat. The sides are great, too! We each had the summer salad of cucumber and tomatoes, which shouldn't be missed, if it's available. The cornbread was pillowy and delicious, more like cake than bread. I had the collards, which were a little bland, but still good. She had the cinnamon apples, and loved them. I only gave four out of five because the location had quite a few flies buzzing around, so we took our dinner back to the hotel instead of eating there. Still, I'll definitely be back!
(4)James H.
Been a butcher my entire adult life. i now work for the usda. meat is,my life. and what these people do to their ribs , pulled pork, and brisket should be called art, not cooking. best que anywhere close. theyre ribs are good wet or dry. go. eat. savor smokIng perfection.
(5)Justin G.
Smoker's BBQ is a must if you're in the Ocean City area. Fabulous pulled pork. Amazing Carolina BBQ sauce. If you've never tried collard greens, this is the place to give it a go..... delicious!! The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. One of their best kept secrets is the scrapple egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I could eat one of these every day! Don't pass up the chance if you're in the area. I wish I was still there!
(5)Jennifer N.
We always stop here! Fair prices, large selection, great staff. I personally love the pulled chicken. Note - this is away from the main tourist area. You can eat there - no air, screened-in area - or get to take-out. Don't miss out on their banana pudding! Can't wait to come back!!!
(5)Michael H.
I was really hungry and i knew Im not gonna be back here for a while so, I had the Top seller "pulled pork sandwich"... Excellent with their vinegar sauce and when I was done, I ordered the beef brisket which was good too.. I would have given them a higher rating but the flys are the worst.. all over the place couldn't eat in peace.. if you go, use the enclosed porch that they have there to eat.(which I did do on my second sandwich)
(3)Chris F.
You get a ton of food for your money here, and the pork loin is delicious. Incredibly, the pork loin flavor is only from the smoked, local firewood and not from any additional spices, flavors, sweet sauces or anything. You can put their sauce on it, which is really tasty. I really enjoyed the ribs and the chicken was really good even a day later on regular white sandwich bread. The sides are really good, I'm not normally a huge potato salad fan, but my favorite is Denise's cream of crab soup. You wouldn't expect such good cream of crab from a BBQ joint, but they some of the best on the lower shore. They have several different styles of BBQ for your different tastes: Western Carolina (pork shoulder with a sweeter sauce), Eastern Carolina (more vinegar-based sauce), and a Texas brisket. They also have a sort-of Baltimore-style pit beef sandwich which is really mouth-watering. Grilled, crusty, with a light smokiness on the outside, and juicy on the inside.
(4)Dan W.
If you are staying on the beach in OC MD and are not interested in boardwalk food, do yourself a favor and drive 3 miles to Smokers BBQ. It is very good BBQ. The ribs are smoked with no dry rub or sauce so you get pure pork flavor, add sauce as you like. The pulled pork is great. The banana pudding dessert was dangerous, you may be driving back for more. Try to go off peak, it gets crowded you will see a full parking lot and a line, but it moves. The outdoor screened dining area has fans but still gets hot on the hotter days.
(4)Mike L.
Smokers is the best barbecues at the beach. The pulled pork is very good. I prefer the Carolina style pork. Try it some time with its vinegar ssauce. The chicken is also great. All their side dishes are very good as well. The seating is outside on a screen in porch at picnic tables. Perfect for a BBQ place, but not for everyone. There is plenty of parking. Service is always quick.
(5)Thomas K.
Good food and fast service. Good place for kids to eat because food was served fast. Ordered the Carolina Pork (vinegar based sauce) after reading a review on here about how much they liked it. Never had a vinegar based sauce and was happy with the choice. Had a side of baked beans which were okay. (grew up on Sonny's BBQ in Florida and nothing compares to there BBQ baked beans). Coleslaw was good. Chopped fine and very fresh. Could use some more sauce for my liking. Ended up ordering a regular pulled pork sandwich to get 2 more sides of Mac and cheese for the kids (and because I wanted to try it also). Sauce on sandwich had a strong tomato taste but it was good. Meat on both sandwiches was tender. I enjoyed the vinegar based sauce that was in the bottle at the pick up window better than the traditional BBQ sauce. The traditional was very sweet, too much like ketchup. Still good but nothing special.
(4)Coren D.
Good, but surprisingly, not great. Here's the thing. They rely on the sauce for seasoning. Everything is smoked without any spices, sugar or salt. Fine, if you like smokiness only, but c'mon, gimme some spice. They don't even baste the meat with anything. There is only barbecue sauce and hot sauce to add some flavor to your Q. Order at the window on the left and wait on the porch to the right or the enclosed picnic area for your food. That day, they had a special of burnt ends, which were the favorite at the table. I also tried the pulled pork sandwich, which tended to be bland and dry, and the ribs, which were moist and tender, but as I mentioned, no seasoning. The smoked chicken was overpoweringly smoky. Bonus points for birch beer on tap. Overall, mediocre BBQ. My advice for you Smoker's, a pinch of dry rub would go a long way.
(2)Steven C.
Wow, I had the Texas brisket sandwich, to die for. My son absolutely loved the brisket, Mac and cheese, and also the baked beans. All the food my whole family had was great. We will definitely be doing this again on our next Assateague trip. The screened in eating area keeping any bugs out was great too! Highly recommend as a great place to grab a bite to eat. Price was very reasonable too.
(5)Jody Z.
Amazing cream of crab soup! Seems hard to find - a lot of cream of crab soups are gloppy and thick. This one was thin, creamy and rich with crab throughout. Will definitely be back for that! Cornbread wasn't my cup of tea because I like it sweeter and this one had jalapeños and was a little spicy. Mac and cheese was pretty good. Pit beef was solid. Looking forward to coming back and trying some other things like the brisket & Carolina pulled pork. PS why are all of the good places in West OC?!
(3)Chris S.
Decent little roadside BBQ stand. They have seating but I'd be more inclined to grab and go. Staff is friendly and helpful and move your order swiftly. Prices are excellent, you can easily try multiple options and still feel thirty. I had the pulled pork sandwich and will admit it is a hit. Moist and tender chunks of pork, sauce was sweet and tangy but I believe they have a spicy flavor as well. Accompanying french fries were a bit of a miss, nothing special at all, the better option would be to go for a side order of hush puppies as they were a slightly better quality. Prices are right and the food is good, so well worth a visit the next time you're headed to the beach.
(4)Tiffany V.
Food is affordable and came out quickly. We tried the Ribs and the meat fell off the bone. The BBQ sauce placed on the side was a yummy bonus. If you like garlic, try the garlic green beans. We sat "outside" in the covered porch. In fact, there is no indoor seating. Very casual, nothing fancy. Bonus: bathrooms were clean!
(5)Lisa F.
The brisket sandwich was so tender and flavorful. Sides were good, especially corn bites and sweet potato fries. Definitely worth the extra trip out of ocean city!!
(5)Aline B.
The food was absolutely fabulous!! Next to my husbands it was the best I have had! I totally recommend this as a stop in Ocean City!
(5)Gerald H.
NICE SPOT FOR BBQ AT A REASONABLE PRICE: Stopped here for a carry out before a night of beverages and grabbed a 1/2 chicken. Comes with two sides and a piece of cornbread for $10.99. Not a bad price considering where we are with OC prices being high on everything. Menu has sandwiches, chicken tenders, ribs etc as well which I wish I could have sampled. The chicken was good - smoked properly but was a little on the small side. I got the mac and cheese and cole slaw- as well as added fries (because I'm a fat ass). The Mac and cheese was meh - maybe it had been sitting out awhile but was kind of pasty and the noodles were soggy. Cole slaw was good. I'm a big cole slaw guy, and this was a good example of it. Fries we're very good. Was a big fan of this place. Definitely will be back to have more of their food. Well done just minor adjustments needed.
(4)Jeremy K.
Fantastic Bbq and great prices. Everything here is delicious! Gets crowded because the secret is out, one of the best places to eat around OC. There is not a better pulled pork sandwich in town.
(5)Christina M.
Awesome fried chicken! We've made it a little tradition to order a bucket 30 min before we head to Assateague. Having moved from NC, I must say that the BBQ pork and smoked chicken are pretty fantastic, as well!
(5)Elizabeth W.
I am not a bbq fan. But for bbq, this was pretty on point. I wanted a bbq sandwich but I couldn't decide which kind of meat, so I chose to get the platter and pick two! The red pulled pork was delicious but the carolina pork was the bomb! It was so sweet and tender, it didn't need anything extra. I devoured it quickly! The sides were pretty standard and the cornbread was good. I will be bringing my family here definitely. They love bbq. This place is a order at the window and seat yourself kind of place. You order at the first window and wait for your order to be called. Then you pay when your order is up. First time for me to pay after I get my food, but it's kind of a cool system. I wish more people did it. The food came in a timely manner and the people were nice, it's a pretty great place to eat.
(4)Daniel C.
Loved it! Ribs, chicken, garlic string beans, mashed and Mac n cheese were awesome! Highly recommend. My wife barely picked her head up from eating! She was like a walker who found new meat! Lol!
(5)Brittany K.
So delicious...my favorite thing is hands down the pulled pork sandwich... Put cole slaw on top if you know what's good for you. The WORST part about this place is that it closes in the winter. DAMN you Smokers... DAMN YOU. STAY OPEN.
(5)Jonathan R.
Great casual bbq in between oc md and assateague Fantastic surprise Our party had fried chicken, chili, a brisket and pulled pork sandwich We had mac n cheese, warm apples coleslaw potato salad and mashed potatoes Sandwiches and fried chicken were outstanding The chili was good, a little soupy The potato salad, coleslaw, apples and mashed potatoes were fantastic The mac n cheese didn't taste homemade Very casual Order at a counter and they call you when the food is ready. You can eat outside on picnic tables or inside a screened in porch on picnic tables. We will be back
(4)Liz G.
Awesome BBQ. I had a half rack of ribs ... It fell off of the bone. Great Carolina sauce. The corn bites are wonderful, creamy and crispy. A must stop.
(5)Keri G.
Excellent! The BBQ chicken was my favorite. This was one of my favorite meals here in OC! I'd definitely go back in the future.
(5)Chris G.
Banana Puddin' was awesome! Always the first thing I order and eat at a good BBQ joint. I recommend the pulled Chicken Sandwich and the Big Bad Wolf (Smoked Sausage, Pulled Pork, Bacon and Cheddar Cheese sauce)! Loved the screened porch we devoured the Brisket Sandwich on as well. It's a must stop while in OC or close to it!
(4)Jess D.
This place is awesome. Everytime we are in town from Jersey we stop here for food. The pulled pork BBQ burger is yummy. The fried chicken is made to order is so good. Along with all the sides. My friend tried the chicken cordon blue sandwich . She said it was super yummy. Pulled pork BBQ is my favorite ( carolina BBQ) this is a must try if you are in the area
(5)Karina M.
Love this place! I always make it a point to stop here whenever I go to OC. I've been coming here over 10 yrs and the brisket is delicious. Their breakfast sandwiches are great, too. Over the years, the ownership has changed but the new owners manage to maintain the exquisite deliciousness of the BBQ. I also love their side items. I have southern friends that say this is the best they've had in this area. You won't be disappointed.
(5)Denise F.
Had the pulled pork sandwich and now I wish I had gotten the ribs since the pulled pork was amazing. The sauces were also really good, couldn't decide which I liked best. This is going to be our spot whenever we visit Assateague.
(5)Chris B.
Amazing food. Had the brisket sandwich, mashed potatoes, and baked beans, it was all really good.
(5)Heather T.
Stellar bbq joint!!! My family has lived in the area forever but only recently found this gem. I wish they had better seating (enclosed porch style), but the food makes it worth it. Get the Carolina BBQ, greens and bread pudding.
(5)Paulissa E.
Nice ambiance. Quality bbq fare - with great sides. macaroni salad, baked beans and Mac and cheese were the best.
(4)Jameson N.
Excellent barbecue! So good we came back a second time on our way back home. Home made sides and all the staples from ribs to brisket to pulled pork are offered at this charming little shack right off of route 50. Can't wait to come back and eat here again!
(5)Richard W.
Awesome bbq!! Who would have thought there was good bbq in Maryland! Never mind being best in OC it has got to be one of the best in MD if not the best. Always have to go on our yearly trip to OC.
(5)Rolando D.
What a tourist trap!! I ordered the pick two for carry out. Portion is not the same as in the picture. Stingy. Not worth $14.99+ tax. Pulled pork was less than 1/4 cup, brisket was same. French fries was just a handful. Way overpriced. Coleslaw was just ok.
(1)Craig W.
Really Good Food. I'll eat any chicken dish and you'll wanna lick the plate. The Mac n cheese is mm good. It's standard but a really good flavor. You'll love the Banana puddin its amazing. It's expensive but you gotta do it at least once.
(4)Jenny H.
I thought this place was not very good, I hate to say this because a lot of people come here and seem to really like it but I thought it tasted like cafeteria meat. The brisket especially tasted old and stale, and the ribs were not that meaty or moist. The pulled pork was OK. The sides were not that good either, soggy mac and cheese, although their garlic green beans were the best thing we got, a really intense garlic powder flavor which was really good. They put all their sides into tiny styrofoam containers and wrap their cornbread squares into plastic wrap- it just all reminded me of a cafeteria!
(2)Lisa L.
My husband and I spent a few days at the beach, stopped in this place and WOW, WOW, WOW. DID NOT DISAPPOINT! First night I got the bbq pulled pork sandwich, mmmm, was awesome. Second day stopped in to get a lemonade and headed to the beach, I noticed burnt ends on the menu, I've never had burnt ends so i had nothing to compare them to, so on our way from the beach we stopped in again. My husband ordered the quarter dark chicken. I ordered the Carolina pulled pork, no bread AND the burnt ends platter...shut the front door, where have you been all my life. I've never wanted to write a review...until now. I would drive the 2 hrs just to eat there again. We ate everything, we were full but continued to eat. Thank you for clearly loving what you do and making such amazing meat. They give you a playing card and when your order is ready they call out your card...Queen of Diamonds (that was our order) it was awesome
(5)Big K.
Good stuff! Got the brisket and Carolina pulled pork with a side of collard greens and potato salad. Everything was spot on. Carolina sauce was nice a D tangy, red sauce was sweet and savory, greens and potato salad were some of the best I've had in recent memory. Wife got smoke ends and they were equally as good. I'd definitely go here again!
(5)Bill B.
Great breakfast, the Carolina style pulled pork is great too! Try the green beans...I haven't had anything I don't like.
(4)Kelly P.
Still awesome!! 4 of us woofed down four slabs if ribs, sides and cornbread. DELICIOUS and the garlic green beans were amazing!! GO there, especially if your sick of all the fried junk options on the boardwalk. This is real food done way better than just right!!
(5)Queen J.
Eah... It was just alright. I came here with my family & cousins all of whom are boys in their 20s so you know they can eat. We ordered racks of baby back ribs, briskets, a bucket of fried chicken & a kids cheese burger. We also ordered the following sides: Mac & cheese, hush puppies, onion rings, cole slaw, & corn bread. Here's the breakdown on everything. Rack of ribs: good, but I've had better. Fried chicken: pretty good, you could tell it the chicken was fresh. Brisket: horrible, don't order... it was super dry and it wasn't even warm. Kids cheeseburger: I didn't try it, but my daughter ate it all, and it could be that she was super hungry from being at the beach all day or it was really good, you decide. Hush puppies... Not bad, not fantastic. French fries, eah it's ok. Mac and cheese, gross, one of the worse Mac and cheese I've had. Onion rings: good! Cole slaw, tasted exactly like Kentucky fried chicken's slaw. Corn bread... This was probably the best thing I had out of everything and I don't even like corn bread! The service was ok too. They seemed to be annoyed when I asked if they thought we had ordered enough food for the amount of people we had. There was however a really nice older lady that hooked us up with some hot sauce. Other notes: Bathrooms were gross. Tables were cleaned And finally the BBQ sauce was ok. And there you have it.
(3)Victoria Z.
Pretty good, 3 1/2 stars. I was here with the world's biggest bbq snob so this rating is a good thing. It looked like a popular spot in the area, we go there just in time before the line was out in the parking lot. Good selection of various bbq dishes and sides. I loved the baked apples.
(3)Keith H.
Smokers just opened for the season in West Ocean City !!! If you're looking for the best bbq in Ocean City, make sure you try Smokers! We're locals and eat here regularly. They have two different sauces to choose from. The sweet red sauce is my preference over the vinegar based sauce. The menu is diverse but I always get the pulled pork sandwich.
(5)S C.
Excellent! They know their BBQ. Inexpensive. And very good. Lots of choices and lots of sides. The setup is all outdoors, screened porch, picnic tables. Wasn't crowded when we went 4:00 on Thursday. Approx 15 tables available.
(5)Jenna H.
Let's just say, I've been counting down for months til Smokers reopens this weekend! I'm not huge on bbq but the smoked chicken is phenomenal as are the pork nachos (my daughter's favorite). The sides are good too from the mac and cheese to the collard greens. And don't forget the cornbread! Oh the cornbread. It's fluffy yet moist with little jalapeño bits. We always finish off our meal with either the banana pudding or a peach cobbler. Definitely our favorite spot to stop after a day spent beaching it on Assateague when we are still in our swim suits and not dressed up! See you soon Smokers!
(5)Kimberly G.
Awesome!!!! Amazing!!!! Fantastic!!!!! Some of the best BBQ I've ever had. This place is a little whole in the wall. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich, potato salad, sweet teA, and brownie. My fiancée ordered the pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese, coleslaw, and hush puppies. Our friends ordered ribs, corn bread, catfish, and cheesecake. All of it was fantastic, except for the cheesecake. It was very cream cheesy. It was almost uneiqble, but that's ok. The est of the meal made up for it. I do not like spicy, but the jalepeno corn bread was actually good. It just had a little kick to it. I can't wait to go back to ths place!!
(5)Eric N.
I have been all around the country eaton' barbeque. This shack comes close to the worst. I ordered a smoke chicken breast on a roll to start. I know, not a BBQ Classic, but I ate red meat for dinner last night and I was trying to be good. One bite showed me that even a chicken breast can be screwed up. So chewy that I had to throw it out. Next I ordered a half rack if baby back ribs for 13.99. No bargain, but I figured that they had to make these well. Whoa! Not only didn't they fall off the bone, but I could barely cut them with a knife. Too tough, and they too made it into the garbage. Now, I'm going to eat lunch. With
(1)Geoff J.
Had a great meal here. Full on soul food here. They smoke chicken, cook ribs, and barbecue everything else. Our entire family came here and all enjoyed their meals. The service is friendly, but scarce, although that doesn't matter since this is a pick up and seat yourself kind of place. Only complain was the green beans. They're heavy on the salt and garlic, beware. Overall a great place to eat with affordable pricing!
(5)Brad H.
This is BBQ, not good bbq (sorry other reviewers) by any other standards (eg NC, TX, KS) but maybe sufficient for Maryland. Someone had to say it...
(2)V R.
If you are staying in Ocean City, you owe it to yourself to head over the south bridge to check this place out. Amazing BBQ. We went as a group of 9 for lunch and we were all very happy with our food. Friend had the pulled pork sandwich, he said it was the best he has ever had. I got the big bad wolf and the Carolina pork sandwich because I'm a fat @$$. Both were amazing. Everything on the menu looks great. Definitely worth the trip.
(5)R C.
Pretty good smoked Bbq. Good size portions for a fair price. Wish they were open longer on the off-season
(4)Rachael S.
Smoker's is a mandatory stop on the way back from Assateague. Friends of mine used to stop for takeout there and bring it to the beach with them, but I'm not a fan of sand in my barbecue. It also tastes much better when you're salty, sandy, and starving after a long day at the beach. Everything is good there, but I especially recommend the smoked fish and the garlicky green beans. Nom.
(4)Nicole S.
This place is so good. If you love BBQ food go here. Everything is fresh and delish! Loved the pulled pork and mashed potatoes and gravy were yum!! My mom and hubby had ribs and roasted chicken they said it was moist and delicious. Def go here if u like this kinda food!!
(5)Rachel D.
Great BBQ! I had the brisket burnt ends platter with baked beans and mac n cheese and it was delicious! My husband had the beef brisket sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy...so yummy! The cornbread is soo good and moist. If you're in the mood for BBQ Smokers is the place to go!
(4)Lindsey T.
My bf and I had the classic pulled pork sandwich, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes ans gravy and banana pudding. Everything was delicious and inexpensive. We liked the picnic style atmosphere. Food was ready in a few minutes even though it was crowded. If you're a bbq fan this is the place for you!
(5)David F.
I am no expert on BBQ, but I came to this place after seeing such high reviews and figuring it would atleast be average. I ordered a beef brisket sandwich and my gf got bbq pork. We both only ate about half of our sandwiches and threw the rest away. I had a pork sandwich from JRs the other day which was ten times better. Then the side of beans tasted strait from a can at the food store. The only thing that was good out of our whole meal was the bbq sauce. This place was a waste of time and next time I am at the outlets I will just eat at one of those franchises instead of driving here.
(1)Ron M.
We yelp'd this joint and surprised with the great rating. We ordered the family pack with 2 rack of ribs, 2 halves of smoked chicken, 3 sides and cornbreads. The ribs, chicken and cornbread are dry. Racks of ribs are small and almost like baby size. Chicken taste so-so and nothing to bragged about. Overall, I had better BBQ pit food.
(3)Tom B.
Based on the reviews & the crowded parking lot, I expected better. The 1/2 rack of ribs was meaty but dry. Both the cole slaw & potato salad were bland. The corn bread was the highlight! I left disappointed, and immediately headed up the road for Dumser's ice cream to cheer myself up with a sundae.

Since there aren't that many good restaurants around OC, Smoker's BBQ Pit is definitely 1 of the best place to go. We tried 3 of the BBQ sandwiches ($5.50 each): 1. Fresh Hand Pulled Pork - The red sauce that comes with it is more of a sweeter sauce. It is pretty delicious & the pulled pork is well made. 2. Eastern Carolina BBQ - Vinegar based sauce. I do like this one the best probably. 3. Texas Brisket BBQ - The brisket is nicely made: juicy & tender. Overall: 3 1/2 stars. It's more like hole-in-the-wall kindda place. They do serve good BBQ and the price & portion're reasonable. I do recommend using their hot sauce - it's awesome.

We stopped here on our way out to Assateague Island and I'll never make that drive again without a pit stop to Smoker's. It's a little stand that produces big flavor. I tried the smoked tuna salad and the shrimp salad- both awesome. I'm not sure what it is they do to their fries, but they may just be my favorite french fries ever. Very crispy on the outside with big potato punch on the inside. I can't wait to go back to try more smoked things! I can't think of a better reason to get away from the Boardwalk...

Great bbq all around. Brisket, pulled pork, ribs and fried chicken are all really good. They have plenty of sides that are also done very well and great service too.

Yes, I feel this place also deserves a fuller review from me. I convinced the group of guys that I go camping with every year that we should dedicate one meal per trip to this place. This year, we bumped that up to two meals. So now, I have a much deeper sampling of their menu under my belt. This place has never failed to satisfy our group. So let me run down some of the menu items sampled on this particular trip. The burnt brisket ends... I was told that every barbecue aficionado has to try this at least once. Well, this was the place I tried it, and I'm sold. My only beef in this case is that they choose to drench it in their red sauce. Do not get me wrong, I do love their sauce. But an item as flavorful as this probably should be served without sauce, or very little giving me the option to drench as I see fit. That being said, it was wonderful with the sauce too. The brisket sandwiches... this is the most popular item within our group. Almost everyone grabs one or two of these during our trip. Lots of red sauce again, but for the regular brisket and on a sandwich it fits better. BBQ wings... this place serves a big, crispy wing. You can't do much wrong if your wings are big and crispy. The baby back ribs... my litmus test on ribs is does it need to have sauce to be good? The answer on these ribs is certainly a no. They're good just with the rub on them. But they are better with the red sauce, and even the Carolina vinegar sauce. No, maybe this place isn't as good as Texas. But, they will satisfy most barbecue snobs like me.

Solid 4 stars. Pretty good bbq. Went with a sausage sandwich that had pulled pork, red sauce, cheese wiz (think cheese steak), and bacon. Pretty solid. Also had Burnt Ends. These weren't bad, I think they were over sauced, but they were still pretty good. The sides were good, coleslaw was good, so was the garlic green beans. You can get a quality meal here and the prices are very fair.

The BBQ was AMAZING! My boyfriend and I decided to look up BBQ places in OCMD after spending the afternoon at the Tanger outlets. At first we looked into JR's but the reviews were mediocre and the cost was outrageous. The meat was perfectly smoked! We got a rack of ribs, 2 half chickens, and pulled pork. The rib meat fell off the bone, the chicken was perfectly pink inside, and the pulled pork was so tender (and not oversauced)! The BBQ sauce was also really good, both sweet and a little spicy. The amount of food that we got could probably have fed a family of 4. Along with the meat we also got 3 sides and cornbread, all for a reasonable price (especially for being at the shore). I would definitely recommend Smoker's. Although you have to venture over the bridge, it was worth the drive!

I have driven by Smokers a bunch of times. On Monday August 26, I took my gang in for lunch. Every thing we ordered was very good. My brother Vince told us the smoked chunk tuna was a must. HE WAS DEAD ON. This was a fresh piece of tuna, about two inches thick, did I say fresh? It was seasoned and smoked until rare. I am not an adequate enough wordsmith to do it justice. Simply said it made the meal. We had the pulled pork which was very good. I mean when it's good it's very good by rule. The ribs were smoked, no sauce which I prefer. Super fresh so much so you could taste the pig. The collared greens were perfect, beans were great. This is a terrific place and if I still lived in Ocean City, I would be a regular. It is a shame that Worcester County has such pedestrian liquor laws, because a cold beer would have made this perfect.

I'm from the south so I'm a BBQ snob. This is hands down the best BBQ in this area. I always get the pulled pork sandwich with potato salad... best ever!!

Let's face it...I'm from TX, so it's not like this place was going to knock my socks off...I just wasn't expecting it to. And I was right...ok barbecue...the sides weren't all that great. The onion rings were somewhat mushy. Good sauce. We also got some of the smoked salmon which I applaud them for, it was pretty good. So having been to some of the best barbecue places in TX and CO, I'm giving these guys an A-OK rating...not bad! I'm tempted to add a fourth star just because they aren't as deplorable as some of the other craptastic restaurants I've experienced around the OC vicinity this week...buuuuuut....no, I just can't. If 3 1/2 could be done, I would gladly give them that.

This place is hit or miss. Our food was obviously old. The chicken and ribs were both overdone and wrapped in foil. The sides were nothing special. We were so excited to be back because last year our food was great. Unfortunately, this year the food was a bust. The service was friendly and the portions are good. Maybe they will be better later in the season.

In 2011, the new owners apparently started cutting corners, and the quality has suffered significantly in the taste and tenderness that most loyal customers had become accustomed to. Sadly, the pulled pork sandwich, ribs, and many of the sides have lost their luster. This used to be the go to BBQ spot in OC. I will try again to see if anything has improved.

Good BBQ, good sides, nice cheap & cheerful atmosphere, very family friendly, quick and easy, something for everyone!

Smokers never disappoints! Today was my first time back this summer and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich in the red sauce with a side of baked beans. The bun is different! I like it much better. It stands up to the sauce and doesn't get soggy! I can't wait to come back many times this summer!

Not bad, not great. I had the brisket sandwich and some ribs. The ribs were the fall off the bone cooked the day before and reheated type. decent flavor. I am not a fan of the red bbq sauce, the vinegar sauce was better. Brisket sandwich was decent but not the best I've had. Not bad for the area.

My family was split on this place. GOOD: great texture on the ribs. Tasty pulled pork & chicken (both popular with kids). OK: sides, mashed potatoes w/gravy & onion rings. Green beans also passable. NOT GREAT: I agree with earlier reviewer that there wasn't enough (or any) spice. It all came from the sauce which lent a sameness to all the meats.

We grabbed this and took it to eat on Assateague Island. Great tasting barbecue, I got the Beef Brisket Sandwich which was VERY tasty. Also got chili which was unique to me, it was the sweetest chili I've ever eaten. Wife went munchie style with dinner, getting Hush Puppies, Sweet Corn Bites, and a Salad. Said the salad was just okay, but liked the other munchies. Kids got a a hot dog and a grilled cheese. Very reasonable prices, very tasty BBQ! Only negatives I could say would be no diet soda options and food options is either carryout or screened porch outdoor seating. So no indoor, air conditioned option.
