It was good and cheap. The service was friendly. It's kind of small and has that strip mall feel, but I would definitely return!

Even with the Yelp deal I had, I knew just by seeing our food that I was going to immediately regret the money we spent here. I realize Saturday night at the beach is a little different than Saturday's other places in terms of how crowded restaurants are, with a lot of people coming in that day for the week and not going out that night for dinner. However, if your restaurant is almost completely empty, and there's more family members of the owner milling around than actual customers, there's a problem. The food came out quickly but was awful. My husband said the pulled pork sandwich was "the least enjoyable pulled pork he's ever eaten," the ribs had zero meat on them, the bbq chicken thigh was watery with a weird texture, the cole slaw was basically just shredded cabbage drizzled with vinegar, the mac and cheese looked similar to KFC mac and cheese which is in no way ideal but I would've preferred KFC mac and cheese to this. The fries and hush puppies were fine. The waitress didn't seem surprised that we had almost entire plates of food left and only took the hush puppies to go.

I'm with the people who don't understand where all of the bomb reviews are coming from. We stopped in for dinner one night while visiting OC for a long weekend. It is a location in a strip mall with a bar on one side and tables down the other side of the restaurant. I ordered BBQ Explosion, which was BBQ chicken wings, brisket, pork ribs, and a side or two. I got mac & cheese and cole slaw. And my wife ordered the half rack of pork ribs. The BBQ Explosion items were so generously coated in BBQ sauce that it was difficult to even tell what the food tasted like. The brisket seemed a little dry, but with all the BBQ sauce it was hard to tell. The ribs were cold and dry and, again, absolutely covered in sauce. The cole slaw was really plain like just cabbage and some vinegar. And the mac & cheese was nothing special. The only decent thing was the wings. My wife's ribs were really good. Fresh, hot, and not overly sauced. So I was like "wtf'? I called the waiter/owner over and asked him if my ribs were supposed to be the same ribs that my wife had and he answered "yes". So I told him that mine were cold and kinda nasty and he took them back into the kitchen and comes RIGHT back with the freshy ones that my wife had. ??? Like if you have fresh ribs in the back, why wouldn't you serve them to your customers?? WHY would you send old ribs to one person and fresh ribs to another AT THE SAME TABLE?? And, like others noted, there was this kid and his friend that kept buzzing around and I gather that the kid is Hubba. Any way, I'm glad we tried Hubba's, but I can definitely cross it off my list. I wish these folks nothing but the best as they seemed like really nice folks, but I really don't think they know the first thing about the restaurant business or BBQ for that matter.

First off we did not expect this place to be in a strip mall and was certainly not the kind of ambiance we were looking for being at the beach; however, the reviews don't lie. I am not a huge BBQ fan, but I wanted to eat something that I wouldn't normally eat, which turned into the Can't Decide BBQ platter. Or should I say TRAY! Enough food for two people easily and was just melt in your mouth delicious! My boyfriend got the Can't Decide Seafood platter (again TRAY!). We were orginally at a table for two, but there was so much food we had to move to a bigger table. The mac and cheese, baked beans and potato salad are out of this world! The place is small and our server sat and chatted us up the entire time, which was a little off putting, but that didn't not take away from the food. Get the Yelp deal $20 for $10. Well worth especially because we got like two more meals out of it since it was so much food!

I discovered this restaurant on Yelp last year -- which at that time was located in the Hooter's shopping plaza. They moved to a new location this year. The new restaurant is in a nicer location and has a better atmosphere. And, more importantly, the food is just as good. The staff is very friendly too. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Ocean City.

Big fan. Had Hubba's at its previous location and since their move the food remains solid. Huge Grilled Chicken salad was enough for 2 and the Hubba's BBQ platter was enough for three and the flavors were excellent!! Used carry out and was ready on time and everything was piping hot!

Had the pork BBQ sandwich and pit beef sandwich, both with the mac and cheese, and both very good!!

Went there a few hours ago...the service was not the best in the world. There was only one woman working & all she did was make excuses. The food was REALLY good, but there was some fat on the ribs & the brisket was somewhat rubbery. They do give very large plates of food. As Richard Sherman would say this dinner was "Mediocre".

The website says reservations so I was expecting a different kind of atmosphere. It is more like a pizza shop atmosphere, but the food was outstanding. The portion sizes were very reasonable, enough to pack home for lunch the next day. The barbecue explosion on the menu is a large portion, and gives you a sample of most of the things on their menu. This is definitely a hidden treasure in Ocean City Maryland and I highly recommend visiting when you visit.

Honestly, I have no idea where all these 4 and 5 star reviews are coming from. The service is terrible. The food was mediocre. The food did come out pretty fast, which was nice. There was also a kid (10? 11?) walking all around the restaurant including the kitchen. I am guessing he is the owners kid but not sure why he is walking in and out of the kitchen. Also, this is more like a pizza place, in a strip mall, not what we were expecting at all. During our visit, we seen a lot of people look in and then continue walking and I am guessing that is due to the atmosphere. We had the pork b b que, which was just ok. Nothing special.
