An amazing oatmeal stout!

Starbucks with a much cozier feel. Great coffee. My family enjoyed the frappe drinks and pastries. My mother in law especially appreciated the inviting fireplace on a cold day. Kinda bumped into the place looking for the pizzeria located just above it in the little strip mall. Step inside, though, and you're enveloped in quaint. Good place. Wish we'd found it earlier in the week.

Super cute coffee house w/ free Wi-Fi and a decent breakfast menu. Front of the house cashiers were rude--customer service training in order.

The best coffee in town! The place has great atmosphere and absolutely delicious coffee! Try the crepes too: nutella & banana one is yummy!

I really wish that they had one of these at home. I was in the big Deep Creek visiting with friends and pow! we come across this place. It is really awesome and homey inside. Nice space, lounge area with comfy couches, chairs and a fireplace for just chillaxing. They have a pretty awesome coffee selection, so much that it can be considered a bit overwhelming...lol The coffee was ahmazing! I had a pumpkin spice latte, which was just divine. I also tasted the chai latte which was great too. I noticed that they also had specials and served breakfast too. The staff were awesome, and friendly. If I'm ever in the area again, I will be returning!

Well, well, well Brenda - We meet again! I'm starting to see a trend here :) Traders coffee is one of my fave spots when visiting Deep Creek. Their coffee is amazing! Just the other day, we went for breakfast and it was great too. Some people got the breakfast wrap and really enjoyed it. I got a cappuccino with a breakfast bar, which was good as well. The staff are always really friendly. On a hot day or cold night, it is a great place to get coffee or a snack.

To my tastes, this is a decent local coffee house. I've been here a few times over a few years and had a good (not great, but solidly good) cup of coffee each time. Most recently, I had a nicely done espresso as well. I'm betting it's probably the best coffee in the Deep Creek area, though the competition appears weak to nonexistent. What I haven't had - to my regret - is any of the breakfast pastries and baked goods. If they taste half as good as they look they'd do well. Trader's also offers a small menu of breakfast sandwiches/wraps and stuff that's available all day. As a bonus, you'll also find free wi-fi here. Worth a visit.

Trader's Coffee House consistently has wonderful food. The atmosphere is great on a cold winter day and even better when you can sit outside with your dogs. Great service, amazing Cinnamon Latte! Highly recommended!

This past week I hosted an executive meeting at our home in Deep Creek. I placed a large breakfast order for around 15 people last minute and they were able to accommodate. Not only was the food/coffee delicious but the staff was amazing at ensuring I had all that I needed to serve the group. I highly recommend for anyone looking to host an event in the area - they were absolutely on point and made it so easy! Thanks!

Really good coffee and convenient location to all things on the north side of the lake. Good breakfast food as well.

It's cute in here and is the only coffee shop in the area. There are tables or couches and comfy chairs. Everyone I dealt with was very personable. It will get crazy crowded on holiday weekends, but that's common for the area. I think they are over priced coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches, but still good. It also has Wifi in Deep Creek so it will work!

The coffee was okay, not any great shakes on this place. The manager was nice but the barrista had an attitude that was just short of rude. Very snotty acting in fact. I got a bagel and mocha coffee, we had the boat docked and hiked up the hill. We were trying to get cash to tip the young man who helped us dock the boat, but to no avail. The nearest ATM was 1 1/2 miles down the rode. Was going to get breakfast here Sunday before coming home but decided against and did the free breakfast at hotel. I was there 9/5/15, Saturday.

Trader's Coffee House is exactly what was needed in the Deep Creek area. Just about every resort area I've been too has at least a Starbucks (usually more than one!). The only other real breakfast option I've had here is Perkins. This coffee shop is situated under Brenda's Pizza (a solid option for pizza in the area). Parking is a scare resource in front, but options can be found. You're competing with parking for Subway, High Mountain Sports, Brenda's Pizza (later in the day), and another business. Inside Trader's there's a very homey, yet quaint feel. It matches the feeling you get from the area. I really thought the fireplace was a good addition to the shop. It's tucked away in the right corner so it's not in your face and doesn't create any unnecessary traffic. All the coffees seem very well made. I was in the mood for a mocha so I got that. They used real, thick whipped cream (I'm usually not a fan of this) which was a welcome addition. The drink was warm, just sweet enough, and had great flavor. The breakfast wrap (sausage, egg, cheese) I had was really good. They seem to use high quality ingredients as well. My only complaint was it was small. I would liked something bigger, almost like a breakfast burrito. Unfortunately, it was raining hard today so I was unable to ski but I feel like I'd have empty stomach much sooner than I'd like. Next time I think I may do the wrap plus a belgian waffle. I think that may be more sufficient. I would not hesitate coming back to Trader's Coffee House in the future. However, in the morning before skiing, I would maybe consider Perkin's because it's more filling for a day on the hill.

I am giving 4 stars for ambiance, ease of ordering, available choices (6 sugar free coffee flavors, which is more than starbucks!), and cost. I'm taking away the 5th star because it took them forever to get my iced coffee made, and there was only 1 person ahead of me. My dad got his hot coffee cup immediately, but I would say it was a solid 5 minutes for my iced coffee. Totally too long considering they don't add the cream or sugar for you. Also, there is only one bathroom stall and there was a wait to use the bathroom both times I came here.

I really enjoy their coffee because they offer soy milk and almond milk--the latter being quite unusual and yummy in my experience. That being said, I like this establishment less the more I visit. At one time, they were out of almond milk, and, although I got soy instead, it just does not taste the same. Moreover, I am not impressed with the amount you must pay for an iced coffee when much of the cup is filled with ice and not coffee. I also find some of the baristas to be rude. I felt ignored the one day as one came around the counter to hug her friend seemingly brushing me to the side before I finished paying. I have also overheard the girls behind the counter speaking matter-of-factly to some of the customers who have questions. Both of these things strike me as unprofessional.

Can get very crowded being its the only coffee shop in deep creek. but still great service, coffee and food.

Wow, one of the best coffeehouses I have ever been in. Spacious but cozy, modern but homey. We went in to just grab a cup of coffee and run, but when we walked in the three of us looked at each other and said "do you want to stay?" We caught a glimpse of the personal-sized quiche that a fellow patron was enjoying and knew we had to have one, even though we weren't hungry. The plate was a perfect lunch or brunch. A nice salad with a delicious vinaigrette, and then a delicious little spinach and egg quiche in a puff pastry shell. YUMMY. The espresso was perfect (and I'm a retired barista), and we cozied up on the couch by the fireplace. It felt like we were in a mountain lodge as we enjoyed our lunch and hot drinks. Right on the lake and next to the outdoor store if you want to check out their selection. The wifi was sharp, and the service was friendly and quick. Very clean, and there were a few cool crafts and goods for sale. The pastries looked dynamite, but I resisted. DCL has changed tremendously over the years, but places like Trader's make me glad it is growing up. A perfect coffeehouse in a perfect resort town.

Wonderful breakfast pastries, quiches and delicious coffee! Their breakfast sandwiches are fresh and tasty as well. I love the waffles with fruit in particular and my husband always finds some cinnamon something to love. There is spacious seating and great wifi and the servers are nice. The coffee selections are great, with both bolder coffees and more mellow blends, and they have a nice selection of teas and other beverages. Nice to sit outside on a summer morning!

We were fiending for coffee on cold day up here at Deep Creek and we were on the hunt for a place fro brunch. Unfortunately we were REALLY hungry and this was close. Although this is not a restaurant, they still had great breakfast food. I went for the Breakfast Wrap and Spring Sunrise Coffee Drink. It was perfect. Less than $10 will get you pretty big wrap and a drink and it definitely hit the spot. This is in kind of an old strip of stores. It's a very cozy coffee shop, they even have a fire place. Will definitely be back here for coffee the next time I'm up here.

Great, local coffee house. I wish there were many more just like this one. Lots of seating, wifi - and lots of choices for the people who love coffee shops but do not drink coffee.... The lunch menu is large and offers a wide variety. Baked goods are also excellent.

We have breakfast here each time we visit deep creek lake. Everything is delicious. My husband and daughter really appreciate the gluten free waffles and panini.

Stopping at Trader's for coffee drinks before the drive home from the Deep Creek Lake area has become tradition. This is the only true coffee shop that I know in Garrett County, other options being gas stations, but Trader's can hold its own against any shop in the surrounding metro areas. They have a good selection of quality brewed coffee, fun rotating specialty drinks and fresh baked goods that are all reasonably priced. When not eager to hit the road its a chill place to relax with ambiance and views of the lake. I've sought refuge here when I need to catch up on work with vacationing. Only downside is that parking in front of the shop is limited and they don't always have a great ratio of barista's to customers to keep the line moving as it should.

1st time down here at DCL for us and we stopped just before closing and the girls were awesome along with the coffee. Nice and clean and a great atmosphere.
(4)Kristina S.
Great coffee shop in deep creek with free wifi. They have a nice food and drink selection and a very comfortable vibe. If you're in need of some caffeine and Internet, this is the place to go :)
(4)Vicky D.
The only coffee place around that I know of ... unless you count the back deli at Arrowhead. I'd come back for the atmosphere and the great view, but the coffee and my breakfast wrap were only ok. I had a pumpkin spice latte which barely tasted like pumpkin spice, and a breakfast wrap that I'm pretty sure they either re-heated or just didn't understand how to make properly. Yes, I asked for lettuce but I didn't think they would heat it up with the wrap. If there's anything more disgusting than hot romain, I have yet to try it (and don't want to). My suggestion to them would be to replace the lettuce option with spinach. Takes good raw or cooked and is packed with vitamins! I'll give this place another shot but only because there aren't many other options in the area.

I love the Apple Cider at Traders! It is not something I would normally order, but it's delicious! There coffee is kind of like Starbucks- over roasted IMHO. I prefer Caribou. I've had lunch here a few times too. The sandwiches are ok, but I have other favorites in the area. This is a great place to hang out by the fire. They have free wifi. I enjoy the ambiance and the cider and some of the baked goods. I have not tried the coffee drinks, but with sugar and cream, those are tough to screw up. ~Christine Zellers CEO, LBDC

This place has fine coffee and baked goods. The problem is it is painfully slow - almost always. It's not the coffee machines, it's the employees. Some are inexperienced (like yesterday's cashier), some have attitude. Only game in town for now so it will do

I certainly appreciate and respect independent eateries...but.... I did not find the latte to be particularly good. I expect the barrista to put the cover and the insulating sleeve on the darn cup. First visit stood in front of what I thought was the order station for about 5 minutes...finally...after serving several other patrons...Ms. Congeniality informs me I have to order "over there"....meanwhile 7 people have come in after me...but are now in line in front of me...geee thanks ! I found the staff to be less than enthusiastic...although this apathy seems to be endemic to the area. I have never traveled to an area that is tourist dependent that has such apathetic locals and businesses. Simple question of "What local restaurants do you recommend that use local ingredients ?" met with a vague reference to a Tex Mex restaurant...now...I am not particularly sophisticated...but I don't think Tex Mex is indigenous to Maryland. Paid for the coffee's $9.86...with a twenty dollar bill two days in a row...and I received a ten dollar bill and 14 cents in change....really ? how stupid...do you not want a tip ? The first day I pointed it out to the I don't understand why the people in this area don't "sell" the area ? Overall a less than stellar experience several days in a row...from either stoned or exceedingly bored and boring staff.

Great espresso coffee and pastries. Nice environment and open most of the day
(5)Lucy L.
They have a great selection of coffee but I went latte when I saw they had devoted an entire chalkboard to Autumn-based Lattes. And not skinny either. Whole Milk. Real Sugar. Fresh Whipped Cream. Holy amazing. Breakfast Wrap was overstuffed with bacon. Good thing I was in a triathlon the day before because any healthy thought process I usually have disintegrated into thin air here. Not too many choices in this area. This is the right choice.
(4)Anthony I.
Wonderful breakfast items and delicious coffee. I think we went here everyday while at the lake.
(4)Kathleen S.
This is the cutest little coffee house with a fireplace and great view of the lake. Their coffee selection was excellent. I had the Protien Wrap, which has a banana, peanut butter, honey and a whole wheat wrap. It was delicious! My husband has a ham egga and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel. We returned later in the week to enjoy a cup of coffee and a cookie for a snack. It's a great place to unwind. We loved it.

Best vanilla iced chai ever!

30 minute wait for a microwaved egg wrap, nasty ham lunch meat. Wifi didn't work on my ipad. Store bought bagels. Coffee is ok.

Went back Sunday morning on our way out of town. We grabbed a quick bite for breakfast. Again the pastries looked amazing but didn't eat any of them but I did have the breakfast wrap and it was awesome. Great quality and serving sizes won't cause you to leave feeling sick. Good place to start a busy day of outdoor activities.

Being a city girl, this coffee house came off as a little hokey. There are lots of chochkies all over the place and hodge podge of some prepackage food. What sets this place apart is the lovely service and delicious frou frou coffee. Upon suggestion, I ordered the "Starry Night" ? and it was a sweet treat on a cool and rainy day. My husband and I sat in comfy chairs and sipped on our drinks. Of course I spilled some of mine and the barista appeared out of nowhere with a napkin. Very sweet and quaint little spot, esp. on a cool autumn afternoon.

Dear Santa: Please bring me a Trader's Coffee franchise to D.C., so I can go more than a handful of times per year. They put the Bucks of Star to shame. I love the Hawaiian Hazelnut coffee the very best, and the blueberry muffins are to die for, especially if you're lucky enough to get there when they're hot out of the oven. And everyone here is so nice, not like at home. I've been a very good girl, Santa. Pretty please? Love, Kim
(5)Robert P.
Probably my favorite coffee place I've been to, maybe anywhere. I had a mocha here several times and each time it was delicious, with a great chocolate and espresso flavor with neither being lost. The best mocha I've had anywhere for sure. I also had a banana and nutella crepe that was tasty and they offer a bunch of other breakfast options as well which was nice. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Will be back anytime I'm in the area.
(5)Laura T.
I love Traders Coffee! Every time I visit the service is fantastic and the food/coffee are great! Big fan of the spiced chai latte and protein wraps. This is a must stop!
(5)Julie C.
This is my favorite place for coffee, anywhere! Love it. The coffee house has the perfect balance of seating, from fireside cozy, to on-line isolation, to tables for converstion and eating. Atmosphere is great - enough buzz, without being too noisy. Lots of power outlets for laptops. But, its about the food and drink - loved their lattes. Far superior than Starbucks. Variety of food was spot on - and all delicious. My kids had breakfast waffles - light and delicious, so fresh. A must go to place when you are at the Lake.
(5)Li E.
I love this place! Visiting Deep Creek Lake for the weekend and was craving coffee. There is no Starbucks in the area so we decided to try the local coffeehouse. What a find! The place is very cozy and inviting with comfortable chairs where you can sit, relax and unwind. On Friday we both tried regular coffees and we were both presently pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality and great choices - decaf and regular. They also have a wide variety of food choices - sandwiches, pastries (try the breakfast cookies - you won't be disappointed), salads, quiche, panini, gelato, and a variety of specialty drinks. On Saturday we returned. I tried the cafe mocha. By far, the best I have ever had, with a rich espresso and chocolate flavor. The place is very clean, the staff is very friendly and the service is outstanding. If you are in Deep Creek Lake, this place is a must.
