I love The Honi so much. I live in San Diego but my family has had a place at Deep Creek forever, and this is a must-go when you're there. Great live music and drinks. TVs for sports, and best of all, a huge lake-front lawn. Perfect for families or anyone looking to have a drink in a fun environment. My sister got married at Deep Creek a few weeks ago and when everyone came into town, we told them to meet up here -- it was perfect. Summery, laid back, and fun.

Was in town in Deep Creek for the weekend with the guys and we decided it would be a good idea to get out of the house and off the lake to, ya know, see people. Well this place is pretty awesome, there's an Uno's next door if you are into that and a huge front lawn overlooking the lake. There are cornhole boards and some ring games. There is a tent set up off the back of the bar that comes in really handy when it's raining (which it was that night). The bar seems to have a bunch of theme nights and this was one of them, pirates. The drinks are good and they are a little expensive but not mind-blowingly so. The band was really good and they were a good time. We got there early but by 9:30ish the place was really filling up. Overall a great time and we will be sure to rent a house that is close to this place again.

This kills me to say this because I've loved this place for 20+ years but other than the great view of the lake and the ape on the roof, the food has really gone down hill. Between the 5 of us we had a variety of dishes from salads to pasta and the only thing that was really any good was the mushroom flat bread pizza. Everything else was just picked at and much was cleared away. I'd still go for appetizers and a beer but save your money on dinner.

Good outdoor place with tons of games and good drinks; however, they don't serve food (besides hotdogs I think) and we had to order take-out from the Uno's next door to bring down to our seats. Had a live band playing while we were there. Good atmosphere. Place is accessible by boat.

We bought two frozen drinks (in small plastic cups) and the tab was $17. There was so very little alcohol in them it was pathetic. We would've stayed and ordered more but not at those sky high prices.

Maybe it's a place for locals, but we walked in at 4 and the place was mostly empty. There were a few people at the bar. No one said anything to us and we ended up walking out. A definite weird vibe. Felt like we were intruding.

Oh, Honi-Honi, where do I begin? 1. Animals. You have a giant gorilla on your roof. This is awesome. But, you also have a giant crocodile (or alligator) and a giant elephant within stumbling distance of your outdoor porch. 2. Firepit. Oh, how I loved that fire pit. And, apparently, the staff don't have any opposition to the patrons helping themselves to the wood pile to keep it warm. This was a crucial item since it was freezing outside. 3. Terribly-awesome live bands. Always some kind of live band, usually featuring some sweet old dudes way past their musical prime. Who knew there was so much talent in Western Maryland? Did think there would be more banjo, though. 4. Blended drinks. You guys know the ocean is like 308 miles away, right? Of course you do. But, you're gonna make those crazy blended drinks anyway, aren't you? Hell yeah. 5. Crazy alcohol laws. This is a negative, but not their fault. Done serving at 10PM on Sunday? Must order drinks with food? Government, stop trying to be my dad. I don't always drive 3 hours into the foothills of the Appalachian mountains to get wasted on Memorial day weekend, but when I do, I have very little choice but to drink at places like Honi-Honi. So, thanks for the memories, Honi-Honi.

When you're in Deep Creek... you gotta stop here. Ya just *have* to! :) This seems to be where most of the daytime drinking and paryting goes down on the Lake. They have a ton of beers and liquors to choose from as well as a nice food menu here. PROS: Good Food You can dock your boat here and walk up to the bar CONS: Duck Sh** service @ bar is a bit so-so Pricey for what it is Its still worth the trip, even if you only have one drink ;) The food @ the restaurant is very good and the service there was good.

Great outdoor bar in McHenry! 2 big tiki bars, lots of seating, live music, games like horseshoes & cornhole (all free) to play! Connected to a great restaurant (Uno's). This place is tons of fun on a Saturday afternoon/evening in Deep Creek Lake!

The cougar den of Deep Creek Lake! Great little bar, always hopping, stiff drinks at a reasonable price. go here to people watch, but look out for little children.

A fun lakefront bar in an area that's always busy in an area where there's not a lot of choices. They always have specials, karaoke, and good drinks. No food at the bar, but you can take out from Uno.

Went on a karaoke Thursday. Mixed drinks are good but way overpriced. Karaoke was 90% country music, and last call was 11:30pm. There were also a lot of kids there up until last call. I would hardly call this a party bar, though the crowd was uber-supportive of the singers, cheering and high-fiving those who did a good job.

Good margarita, terrible pizza, excellent view of the lake and all types of outdoor activity that makes a nice weather afternoon spectacular. Just stay away from the pizza.

Amazing view, pretty good food, cheap drinks. My friend and I stopped here for some drinks and a snack. It was happy hour so they were handing out raffle tickets for every drink you bought. The bartenders were nice and attentive. We split the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer and it was pretty good. It's worth a stop and the location is perfect.

I agree with Carrie, you need to stop here! This place has a mix of everyone and is great for people watching. It is right on the lake with a huge yard to pull up a chair and enjoy. Drinks are cheap and you can order food "to go" from next door (Uno).
