Food is good! Good quantity and great taste for the price! Ambiance is local. Service is very friendly

This is your standard seafood house on a waterfront. Service was pretty good, a little slow but waitress seemed personable. Started with some hushpuppies, they were ok just slightly over cooked. Ordered the boneless fried chicken as I'm not a huge seafood eater, but my husband started with a crab soup that he was very happy with. My chicken was slightly over coked and tough, my husband ordered the broiled boneless white chicken and we shared with each other, that was much better. Sides were good, nice coke slaw and baked potato. Probably would rate 3 1/2 stars if an option. Will go back and try again as the location is great with a wonderful view. One concern was information shared with us was different when told to the next table? They need a board with info on specials or an insert in menu.

Two visits this year and both times the crabs and cold beer were a hit. Lisa, our server was extremely accomodating as well. They serve their good sized jimmy crabs hot and freshly steamed to a perfect doneness. They serve hot melted butter and have crackers and vinegar too. They also have great onion rings and oyster stew! They have a nice little bar area where you can catch a sports game. The main dining room is open and spacious... not fancy.. but offers nice views of the water. We will definitely make the trip back again. Had to make an update and an adjustment. We went back for a third time and got a different waitress. Wow..what a difference it was. She was NOT good at all and definitely knocked a star off for her lackluster performance.

I'm a local. They have always been better than across-the-road competition. Not anymore. I recently ate across-the-road and had an unusually delicious meal and NICE experience! I will forever love Shy's lightly breaded seafood and chicken, but after years of patronizing, I will not go back. Shockingly bad attitudes of their wait staff. Our favorite, Mae, was not there. She could run the place blindfolded! With an empty dining room during mid-day, we were treated like we were in NY City. Rude waitresses!!! And, we were WAY overcharged because she didn't know what to charge... ?? So nasty it was not worth bothering. We just chalked it up to a gratuity toward 'so-and-so's-no-good-very-bad-day'. Maybe she's happier now.

Best steamed crabs in Southern Maryland! Also, love the kale.
