Absolutely the worst service and worst quality food we've eaten out in a long time. We were finally served our food after 40 minutes with several acknowledgements from the server for slow service. I ordered the Friday a Night pork special -- it was tasteless and tough and 50% was fat that had to be carved off before I could begin to eat the meat. The apples (??) were either raw and soft or cooked halfway but very unappetizing. My husband's meal was so salty it was almost inedible. Despite our complaints to two servers we were told "sorry about that" and we were offered a piece of cake (which we turned down) to 'make up' for our very disappointing evening . Never again, Hellas.

My wife and I play on a trivia team every Tuesday here. Always have a good variety of specials and the regular menu has great selection of Greek dishes. Always have a beer special which is a great way to try new brews. Everything I have ordered was pretty good. Only problem is they have a great display of desserts, BUT is very hit or miss it wether they are stale or not. They will gladly give you another selection if the one you got isn't fresh, but still. Server is always very nice and attentive.

The place could use a makeover but the food is pretty darn good. The crab cakes are legendary and the Oyster Rockefeller are the best I have ever had. Happy hour and special are great!

A family restaurant with a great bar happy hour, pool tables, and a large bar. I like the crab cake, gyro, and most of the chef specials. Great beer selection. Needs a better happy hour munchies menu and bar area renovation.

I came here because Gina's was closed... I personally think this place looks like a dark dump, and don't understand why a free standing building would choose to not have any windows. The setting around reminded me of a church hall or any other cheaply put together hall. I'm giving it 3 stars because I didn't have any food, I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and the beer was cold.

I ate at the bar since all of the tables were reserved. While the waiters were very friendly and attentive, the food was very dull. For example, I ordered a loaded baked potato with sour cream on the side and when I received my order, the potato wasn't even cut, and it didn't even come with bacon or cheese. I've had better food at fast food restaurants like McDonald's.

Food is delicious and they have a great beer selection. The coconut cake is the best I gave tasted! Bar side has a great atmosphere, restaurant side always seems quiet.

My wife & I eat here quite often. The food is great & the cream of crab & the desserts are the bomb. The decor is a bit out dated but it doesn't seem to stop anyone from coming here.

2 Stars cause of the friendly service. We got bald no sauce wings. My son tried cheese sticks. "it's going to be pretty hard to screw up cheese sticks Dad" He ate one and said " school lunch caferteria are better... And they're pretty bad" My chili was good, nothing special but good. So Hellas is good at nothing special

Hella's is an interesting spot. There is a dining area and a bar area, which is completely separate. We opted to sit in the bar since it was more lively over there. It's definitely a local dive, with a mostly quite older crowd. We were seated and then waited about 15 minutes before a lady stopped to apologize for the wait and to let us know our server would be right behind her. The service did not improve over the course of the meal, even as the dinner rush died down. Our server was super nice but each time he walked away from our table, it took him longer and longer each time to come back and check on us. The food is decent. The crab bisque was excellent: creamy, seasoned well, and full of large chunks of crab meat. I really wanted to order the crab cake entree but decided to go with the chicken souvlaki pita since we were at a Greek restaurant. It was just ok. The veggies were pretty fresh and the chicken was obviously right off of the grill...but it was on the bland side. Honestly, I've had better tasting chicken souvlaki at Pita Pit. Lastly, we got a piece of coconut cake to share because my sister (who eats there pretty often with her husband) said I had to try it...I wasn't impressed. I normally don't eat sweets unless they are absolutely worth it and this was not. It was a good cake but not a must-have by any means. On the plus side, they have a great beer list and a fun atmosphere!

Bad service, unclean environment and outdated. Seems like they just don't care! Good shrimp salad though

I'd heard such good things about Hellas from friends, so I had high expectations when I arrived for dinner. But alas, I was left disappointed overall. Our server was very friendly, but she didn't really listen to us, screwing up the order. My date ordered french onion soup and a crab cake. I ordered moussaka. When the food came out, she brought him a French dip sandwich. Huh? She took the sandwich back and put in his correct order, but my food was going to get cold while we waited, so I went ahead and started. At first bite, the moussaka was tasty. However, as I dug deeper I saw that half of the meat was completely raw and I was unable to finish it. I returned to my salad with bleu cheese dressing, but was disappointed in that as well....there was no bleu cheese of which to speak, and it had a gritty texture that was just unappetizing. To top it all off, we had each ordered a glass of the house merlot, being told it was $3 per glass, but when the check came they charged us $5 per glass. The atmosphere is that of a dive bar/roadhouse, with pool tables, dart boards, and large tv's around the bar. The room was cold, and they had a space heater set up by our table which made very little difference. I really don't see what my friends saw in this place.....but I won't be back to give it another chance.

Gluten free menu!!! Dedicated gluten free fryer and grill! It gets four stars because it has gluten-free stuff which is fantastic especially as a person with celiac's disease who hasn't had fried food in years. I had gluten free calamari, crab cakes, and fries. My son had a cheeseburger with GF bun. The Taste; it is fried food. If you like fried food this is for you. Beware it does take extra time for the crab cakes. Crab cakes were fluffy with lots of crab meat chunks. I have no idea what a crab cake is supposed to taste like but it was good to me. It is not all fried food. Greek items, seafood, steak...There were tons of other choices worth a try for folks who are gluten free. No GF dessert but if you talk to them a head of time they will make you a GF cake.

The place is renown for it's crab cakes and, to be honest, they're pretty good and pretty big and pretty pricey. I don't know what it is about Maryland which is supposed to be known for crabs and especially places near the Chesapeake Bay which is where the crabs are but every place that supposedly had "the best crab cakes in town" also have the "most expensive prices in town". It's redneck bar with the locals hanging out to swill beer and play pool. There is a "banquet" section that is supposedly a little nicer for diners or larger events/parties. It's really no big deal. Regular horseshoe bar with bartenders that can serve up beer and whiskey but don't expect a cosmo or chocotini unless you want a weird look and people moving away from you at the bar. Come with you jeans and your best game of eight ball and you'll be fine. The food is meh.

At in the lounge area. It was freezing. The crowd was lively, but no one in particular was loud. It took over 20 minutes for our server to come by between the drink (water) and food order. The spanakopita was bland and not worth ordering. Considering this is a greek place, I was looking forward to an authentic "spinach pie", but it was a great disappointment. I am an inkling that they are store bought. Our table was split on the crab cake . . . I thought it was disgusting (bland, canned crab?, too much filler, fishy taste) while another person at the table really enjoyed it. I am definitely critical when it comes to my crab cakes, but I would not eat one from here again if it was free. The sweet potato fries were good, they tasted like sweet potatoes, not just fries. Service was definitely lacking any motivation and made me wonder what the team in the kitchen was like. Yikes!

I attended a banquet on 5/26/2015 and was really surprised about the quality of the food after reading several negative reviews. I thought the food was great especially their crab balls and meatballs, etc. The service was very good and quick. I am looking forward to returning for dinner soon.

Went for my mothers birthday dinner, chosen for its location as everyone traveling from a different area around maryland. I'm sorry to say we were disappointed from the Greek dishes, to the cream of crab soup which tasted more like cream chipped beef with crab. The oysters were huge, shells were caked with muck, with the oysters not loosened from the shell. I had to order a steak knife to saw off the tongue sized oysters from the shell. Stick to the maryland crab soup here, and the T-bone steak if you end up going. Seriously, nothing else on the dinner menu was worth a crap. 10 of us went. Service was pleasant but lacking and not attentive. Not going back.

Oysters Rockefeller are awesome. Huge pieces of jumbo lump crab meat. Giant oysters. Huge fan of their French onion soup. Chicken souvlaki sandwich is killer. Gyro is awesome. Maryland crab soup is filled with crabmeat. Wings are great but not too spicy. Massive Greek salad. You can not go wrong here. The only thing I have ever been disappointed in is the bison burger. Make sure you try their specials. They have a local flair and are usually right on point.

Our Sat. night dinner was a complete dissapointment at Hellas. The waiter was very nice, but the food came out after a long wait and was fair at best. My husband's pork dinner special was overly spicy and my rockfish was small and barely warm. These are the "specials." My daughter ordered the soft shell crab sandwich which was served on white bread? The meal was very pricey for what we received. As a side note, I noticed all the other tables had to wait a long time for their meals also. One table walked out after displaying dissapointment with their food. Won't be back

I had high hopes for this place and it just didn't do it for me. I have been to this place 3 times and only ate there once. The first 2 times I could not get over the smell and they fact that no one came to wait on me for sometime. And finally the third time I said I would stick it out just to see what this place was really about. Service when we were in the bar area at a table (on a not so busy night) was pretty poor. If you ask me they have too many items on their menu so you are pretty much going to get something that is just average. I decided to play it safe and get a club sandwich (how can you mess that up right?) It was ok. My friend got bbq grilled chicken and it was below average to the point we just laughed. I probably won't be back sucks because its so close to home.

First visit. Almost immediately impressed by the beer list. Trois Pistoles! Creme Brulee Stout! Yes, please! Wine list had two Maryland wines. Just Boordy, but better than nuttin '. The only down note regarding the beer? Waitress brought me the bottle. No glass. Nope, sorry. Craft beer should not be consumed from the bottle. Other than that though, she was great. We split the tzatzki. Solid dish. Just the right tang. Pita was nicely bready. I has the crab cake platter, mostly because I'd heard such good things about their crab cakes. I'm not a huge crab cake fan but now and again they call my name. This one was nice. Huge. Little filler. My only complaint is that it was a bit dry but not majorly so. I would've liked a slight mustardy-ness to it but that might just be me. Veg of the day was roasted carrots and parsnips. They had me at parsnips. I was quite pleased. My guy had some kind of chicken smothered with crab dip and cheese. It was bigger than my head! He took half if it home. I was underwhelmed by my dessert. Strawberry shortcake which to me means a biscuit or small sponge cake with strawberries and cream. This was a layer cake with strawberry filling (that tasted like jam) and a thick whipped cream frosting. Nothing wrong with it but not to my taste. Overall though, a very positive experience. We'll be back.

They have good drinks and good food. And once you get to know the bartenders they are very personable and provide good service. Every Saturday night they have karaoke which is often a lot of fun. Prices are reasonable and they have a variety of things to entertain yourself if you happen to want to go alone such as pool tables golden tea and some other games.

Terrible food, and service. Ordered a salad, and chili figured you can't screw that up. WRONG....chili tasted like everything in it was canned, flavorless. Blue cheese dressing tasted like paint. Horrible......

OK so Hella's does have good crab cakes from time to time but that's about all they have going for them. My husband and I used to really enjoy going to Hella's on date night and my mother in law even had my baby shower there. However, recently we have had both bad food and bad service at Hella's and I just do not see us going back anytime soon. Our last waitress was so rude to us when we asked a question about the special my husband ordered it was insane. The description of the dish was clearly vastly different than what he was served and when we asked her she said that my husband probably just didn't understand healthy eating. No crab cake is worth the amount of attitude she gave us.

I've been here a lot recently after soccer. Its okay. I really like the sliders they are pretty good. The best thing here is the beer list. If you like trying different beers you can't go wrong stopping in at Hellas.

Went there on a Saturday night, they had karaoke which was fun to watch. Ordered a house salad with French onion soup and a buffalo chicken slider. My boyfriend ordered the 2 burger sliders and the egg slider. The salad was horrible. Lettuce was wilted and some pieces of slimy brown lettuce in it. I tried to drown it in ranch just to help the taste but even the ranch tasted horrible. The soup was the worst French onion soup I've ever had. The slider was supposed to have hot sauce and blue cheese on it but when I received it, it had none. Boyfriend said the burger sliders were good but the egg one was just mediocre with no flavor. Service was incredibly slow. Best part about the meal was the crab dip and even that was mediocre. Yes it had gigantic lumps of crab meat in it, but only a couple so when you dipped the bread in all you got was cream cheese. I would've thought they would've put a little more crab meat all throughout and not just 6 large chunks. Very very disappointed in Hellas!

I wish this place was good since I live right down the street and Greek places aren't super common here. Unfortunately, it is an embarrassment to Greek cuisine. I've been here twice (invited by friends) and each time I was deeply disappointed. Bad food, bad atmosphere, bad waste of money.

Two words discribe this place "HELLA BAD". Do they get their gyro meat from a frozen tv dinner? Over priced food + lack of taste = no more visits.

The food is alright, depending on what you get. They have a good happy hour, with $1 drafts. The menu is very big, with lots of choices from Greek to Italian to seafood. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the crab cakes. Places like G&M get a lot of hype, but I'm pretty sure these are the same exact crab cakes. If you like crab cakes, try these, you will not be disappointed. Service is alright. Sometimes the hostesses can be a little cranky, but the servers are usually pretty good. Atmosphere is laid back in the lounge with a bunch of pool tables, video games, TV's for watching games, etc.

I've eaten here twice. One time in the restaurant and the other was take out. I got the crab cake sandwich each time and they were pretty good. Very meaty and big, but, flavorless. I think if they used a little Old Bay or even just a little bit of salt, they would be much better. The roll was fresh and the fries were very good. I would have given it 4 stars if they used a little seasoning.

The Crab cakes are AMAZING! Lumps of crabmeat & barely any filler. I truly find these other reviews to be insane because everyone I know LOVES their food. I went to Hella's & sat at the bar for the first time Saturday night. There was karaoke which of course meant rough singing & worse dance moves. However, it was quite entertaining to my husband & I. We tend to have good attitudes about things. Basically we love this place... Super friendly service!

If you want to go to pool hall to eat, this is the place for you. We went about 4 on a Saturday. There were two hostesses, we'll name them Grumpy and Angry. They asked if we wanted the bar side or the restaurant side and since we were in jeans we opted for the bar side. It was OK, diner type tables and chairs no tableclothes, ceiling tiles, etc. We waited 15 min. before the server came to the table to ask our drink order. Since we had reviewed the menu extensively, we ordered our food when we ordered our drinks. Wow, was the food bad...just bad. No flavor other than salt, certainly not real Greek food, covered in sauce or cheese and the salad I would have had better if I bought a bag from the grocery store. I had heard great things about this place in the past but times have definately changed...not for the better obviously.

Avoid if possible. Great service by the staff, it's management/owner that is out of touch. Paid $17 for 6 shrimp on an "16 inch" sandwich. It was "jumbo" shrimp on some lettuce in a two 8 inch roles, I should have measured cause looked like 6 inches roles to me. The manager/owner argued with me complaining about his business expenses before he broke down and gave me 2 more "jumbo" shrimp. The bar area is the only thing keeping that place a float.

Went to Hellas Saturday night for some appetizers and drinks. It was truly one of the WORST eating experiences I have ever had. We ordered an order of Old Bay wings which were small, dry, and horribly under seasoned. I have had microwaved wings that put these to shame. We also had the 3 pizza appetizer which was ok but nothing to brag about. The interior of the restaurant is not very clean either. I would never come back.

I checked out the Yelp reviews on this place before I went (to Paint Nite there) and they were relatively low...and now I know why. First, we arrived early, were seated and given menus. We asked about happy hour and were told what was half off, $2 drafts, etc...so we order a few happy hour specials along with dinner. Our drinks come, then our food...the food was okay, very large portions which was nice, but nothing absolutely savor-tastic. When we go to order more drinks (still well within he defined happy hour window) we're told that the manager has decided not to let the Paint Nite crowd have any happy hour specials. REALLY?! So let me get this straight, you as a restaurant agree to host a paint nite, which prides itself on drinking and painting and since you have a captive audience, you decide to deny us your happy hour specials? Good job. That in itself was poor management in my opinion. Meanwhile as more of our friends show up and order food, it takes longer and longer to get anything...so long in fact that one lady at the table cancelled her order altogether...the rest of us shared our food with her so that she could eat SOMETHING. Epic fail. Next time, don't volunteer to host an event that your wait staff is unable to handle, and for the management: go read a book on successful marketing and customer satisfaction.

It's okay unless John is the manager on duty and then run the other direction! He does not care about his customers nor the hours of operation. The posted hours of operation do not apply when he is on duty and he will shut the business down even when there are customers still enjoying themselves and spending money!

We stopped by Hella's one Friday night to meet some friends. It was karaoke night... UGH. But actually despite my hate of karaoke the people were surprisingly not too bad. They are probably there every weekend also, lol. The bartenders all seemed friendly and attentive. Before playing a game of pool, we got an appetizer, the crab dip. I would like to swim in that dip. It was AMAZING. The pool playing area is large and accommodating with drink ledges around the side. Went back and had the Bison burger - decent but overcooked. It was more medium than medium rare for sure. More crab dip - Amazing as always! And the bf got 2 crab cakes & sides. He said it could use a little more flavor (Old Bay maybe?) but was impressed by how big they are and how much crab meat you get. He ended up bringing the 2nd home for later. The older woman bartender was extremely helpful and friendly. Great service! Overall a great dinner experience at the bar. I really like Hellas and definitely will be back. If the next visit goes well I'll bump this up to 4 stars.

I went here and ordered the crab cake platter. The crabcake was good but there were huge lumps of crab on top, which was fantastic, aside from the fact that it was not fresh... I didn't expect much in january but I expected a little better than this. It had no flavor and the texture was tough and stringy. I will have to retry this in "crab season" to get a better feel as to why people love these. They do have a pretty hoppin bar scene though on the other side of the establishment. There are always locals here and they have pool tables and karaoke some nights. They have delicious drinks! We come here for happy hour once in a blue moon.

Everything is below average about this place. I tried it out twice thinking that the horrible service we received was just a reflection of that particular waiter and not the entire establishment but I was wrong. Both times the waiters were slow and unattentive, the food was ok but it took way to long to come out and on my second visit the karaoke was so loud and obnoxious we guzzled down our first drink and left. Maybe this is just how it is on the weekends but the only bright side is its probably one of the only places in the area where you can eat and drink till 2am everyday.

Mixed of Greek, Italian, American, and Seafood in the menu. We had lunch here and we ordered a Greek specialty, Vegetable Gyro and Maryland crab soup which comes with a small garden salad, a good deal. The restaurant is divided into formal dining and big lounge. The service at that time was fast. I did not find anything that is outstanding or to complain about. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Went there on a Friday night knowing that it's going to be a karaoke night. But it was awful. Bartenders were slow and drinks was on the light side. It was a very much redneck bar. May go there to try their food but never to have a night out there.

This is purely a review of the bar area / late night. When I used to come here years ago, this place would have been a 1/5 or 2/5 based off of the crowd it attracts, the obnoxious karaoke and the poor decor and beer selections. What boosts it to a 3 is the change they made about 10 months ago in the beer selection. At all times now they have 8-9 microbrews on draft which is extremely rare (and almost impossible to find) in this area. That puts it to a 3 for me. Not only do they have some nice options for beer geeks, but the prices are excellent! I paid less than $4.50 for my SN Bigfoot and Weyerbacher Fireside. On top of that, they actually used relatively proper glassware with a hefty goblet for my Bigfoot. Color me surprised. Atmosphere is still horrible, unless you're a redneck but I will make this a go to place when I'm in the area based on the beer selection.
OVER-RATED! Deceitful offerings. Heard they had great homemade crab bisque and total lump crab cakes--So took my wife for an evening out. Our meals were a Disappointment! Totally swindled on the bisque. Waitress, who was excellent, told us the bisque soup 'base is pureed crab purchased in a can. Consistancy of tapioka. Chef then adds a couple (no more) lumps of crab meat to each cup! The crab cakes are very large, like an orange, BUT once you get past the 6-8 lumps "on the surface", nothing much! inside is a ground up mess, with NO lumps of meat or anything resembling even small pieces of crabmeat. Just a large ball of 'stuff. ......So beware, and look beyond the few pieces of crab meat on the surface.....and tell them to take it Back!! and do it RIGHT! DB

Great location for karaoke or playing pool (in the bar section). Decent drink prices make it a place I would go to again. Police station located directly across the street so bring a designated driver (even if there wasn't a police station located so close).

Ever since we've moved out this way, I've always wanted to try Hellas. I always pass it to and from work and well, it grates on me that I haven't been there yet. Until now! There are two distinct sides to this establishment. On the right is the bar and on the left is the restaurant. We decided to sit in the restaurant. The menu is pretty diverse, but it also had those must have Greek dishes. It took awhile for our waitress to come and greet us and that was a bummer because I was starving. This theme ran throughout our entire visit. Drink refills, appetizers, and entrees took more time than usual. The food wasn't that bad however, my chicken was rather dry. As for decor, they really seemed to just throw some things together. Generic tables with tablecloths (no tablecloths in the bar area) and generic chairs. It wasn't an impressive visit, but everything seemed to have its own flow so that was good. The bar area seems to house a ton of regulars. The pool tables only cost a dollar a game and they offer keno and a couple arcade style games (Golden Tee anyone?!). They also have a couple TVs for you to watch the games or Nascar. Finally, the mystery of Hellas has been solved.

Don't go here hungry or thirsty, and be prepared to sit for a while. It's a shame that the service really sucks here. It's horrible that you sit for 15 minutes for a drink person to ask you what you want to drink and then the table who came in 18 mins after you gets waited on first. The hostess acts like you bothered her to seat you. No one ever comes by to see if everything is alright. The food on the other hand wasn't terrible. By the time it took for us to get in and out, I could have taken the extra ride to a nice Greek place and received great Greek food. They had their 3rd strike with me, now they can keep their mediocre food.

Greek Restaurant with a wide menu selection. Not your typical Greek diner food. Casual atmosphere. Two parts to the restaurant: bar side and restaurant side. We have only eaten on the bar side but both sides appear to keep steady. Don't miss the daily specials menu. . Their greek dishes have always been great. Their seafood dishes are on the mark as well. Expect a wait on some dishes, but only because they cook them to order. Enjoy an appetizer while you wait. They have an awesome crab dip. Their portions are good size. Soups have never missed. The only thing I have experienced that my family didn't like was the potato salad and the baked potatoes which appear to be held too long. Their bartenders have always been pleasant and keep your drink refreshed. The bar fills up during happy hour and weekends. They offer keno and pool tables. Over all a pleasant experience every time.

My wife and I with family members dined at Hellas for my wife's Birthday on the 10/17/2011. The food was great we had the bar appetizer special of Lamp Chops just wonderful, also the lobster special of 1 1/4 lbs was just delightful. I had the Baked Pasticcio it was OK a bit dry and cool. So over all the food is great but choice wisely. We will be back to enjoy more food.

I feel as if there is a lot of hype around Hellas, I have always heard many opinions about this restaurant all positive. Since I now live in the area I had to try it. My girlfriend and I went on a Friday night thinking there would be a wait. There was Definetly no wait and only a few diners in the dine in section and they sat us next to a dessert freezer weird. They split the building in two, half bar half cheap looking diner section. It was tacky but still had to try it. We sat down and weren't greeted for at least five minutes, which wouldn't be a big deal but they had at least five servers for the three parties in there. After asking for service are waitress came and she was slurring her words and made us repeat our orders. The food was tasteless I had a gyro wrap which was 100% grease and crab cake tasted like it came from a can premolded and frozen. The salads were warm yuck! Also the server left for atleast ten minutes at a time assuming she was at the bar side, since she came back to us to tell us a joke she heard over there, which we couldn't understand either. Some hype... I could go back only to get check the bar out

I read that they use the same recipe as G&M. I found this hard to believe - but tried the crab cakes anyway (take out). They were great! I dont know if they are exactly the same - but they are pretty darn close! I would order from here again!

Terrible? I do not think so. The lounge side serves as a local bar with great food at REASONABLE prices. Dangerous? I doubt it. The lounge area is more of a restaurant bar. I am sure that management cannot control everything that comes out of guests mouths. Carryout can be picked up at the bar using the carryout entrance or at the hostess station upon request. With dinner seating, sometimes the girls up front do get a little overwhelmed. X-rated games? I do not think the two golf machines or the two bar-top machines are overly explicit, but I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Sounds like the previous reviewer was just a bit angry at everything. Mistakes do happen. Maybe she was the one being nasty. I guess there is nothing that can be done to please some people.

It was possibly the best filet mignon I've ever had, and the crab cake was also excellent. The portions were all very large considering the low price--one crab cake is a meal. The specialty drinks we tried were also very good, as were their mashed potatoes and gravy. The cole slaw was fresh, but fairly plain, and the bread loaf before dinner was fine. We were in the restaurant portion at 9pm on a Saturday and it was dead. The decor was mostly excellent, but the drop ceiling took away from some of the ambiance, as did the karaoke from the lounge area.

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

(4)Jim H.
The place could use a makeover but the food is pretty darn good. The crab cakes are legendary and the Oyster Rockefeller are the best I have ever had. Happy hour and special are great!
(3)Daniel S.
A family restaurant with a great bar happy hour, pool tables, and a large bar. I like the crab cake, gyro, and most of the chef specials. Great beer selection. Needs a better happy hour munchies menu and bar area renovation.
(4)Jessica H.
(3)Britany H.
(2)Paul T.
A lot of people rave about this place. It's just not my cup of tea.
(2)Em P.
Food is delicious and they have a great beer selection. The coconut cake is the best I gave tasted! Bar side has a great atmosphere, restaurant side always seems quiet.
(4)Keith J.
My wife & I eat here quite often. The food is great & the cream of crab & the desserts are the bomb. The decor is a bit out dated but it doesn't seem to stop anyone from coming here.
(5)Peter C.

(3)Megan F.
Bad service, unclean environment and outdated. Seems like they just don't care! Good shrimp salad though
(2)Dawn R.

(4)Sue B.
Always love eating here. Crab cakes and cream of crab soup are the best. Awesome service and friendly staff. Highly recommend it.
(5)Ken M.

Yikes!
(2)Alexander N.
I attended a banquet on 5/26/2015 and was really surprised about the quality of the food after reading several negative reviews. I thought the food was great especially their crab balls and meatballs, etc. The service was very good and quick. I am looking forward to returning for dinner soon.
(3)Deanna S.
(2)Sid P.
(5)Sabina B.
I got the gyro platter and was not impressed. The potato salad was disgusting.

Our Sat. night dinner was a complete dissapointment at Hellas. Won't be back
(1)Dee C.
(2)Vicki C.
(4)Robert N.
(4)Beth T.
Terrible food, and service. Ordered a salad, and chili figured you can't screw that up. WRONG....chili tasted like everything in it was canned, flavorless. Blue cheese dressing tasted like paint. Horrible......
(1)Heather P.
(2)K C.
I've been here a lot recently after soccer. Its okay. I really like the sliders they are pretty good. The best thing here is the beer list. If you like trying different beers you can't go wrong stopping in at Hellas.
(3)Lynette W.
The food is excellent. Of all the places we could go to for dinner, this is our favorite!
(5)Stacy M.
(1)Adam S.
I wish this place was good since I live right down the street and Greek places aren't super common here. Unfortunately, it is an embarrassment to Greek cuisine. I've been here twice (invited by friends) and each time I was deeply disappointed. Bad food, bad atmosphere, bad waste of money.
(1)Scott M.
Two words discribe this place "HELLA BAD". Do they get their gyro meat from a frozen tv dinner? Over priced food + lack of taste = no more visits.
(1)Anthony S.
(3)Rick W.
(3)Carson S.
(5)Jamie B.
(1)Curtiss R.
(2)Brian N.
(1)Chris L.
(2)Amy C.
The crab cakes are amazing
(5)Sunny M.
Great service, large portions and probably the best crab cake ever.
(5)Tim R.
Crab cakes. That's why you come here. The wine list sucks. Service was great and wonderful friendly hostesses.
(4)Diana H.
It's okay unless John is the manager on duty and then run the other direction! He does not care about his customers nor the hours of operation. The posted hours of operation do not apply when he is on duty and he will shut the business down even when there are customers still enjoying themselves and spending money!
(2)Melody C.
(3)G J L.
Dining in banquet area so amenities are sparse. Food wasn't spectacular but plentiful and good.
(3)Chuck K.
Terrific seafood and wings, great service. The lounge area is large and accommodates groups pretty well, making it a great place to gather with friends. They offer karaoke and have billiards too.
(4)Heather W.
(2)NeNe E.
(2)Ma-e M.
(3)Bangali A.
Went there on a Friday night knowing that it's going to be a karaoke night. But it was awful. Bartenders were slow and drinks was on the light side. It was a very much redneck bar. May go there to try their food but never to have a night out there.
(1)Robert P.
(3)Rusty H.
Went to a catered event there last night, and was looking forward to it after hearing how good the food was. I was sadly disappointed. The greens of the salad looked like they were put on the plate and stacked under another plate. I had the crab cake for dinner, which was this visually unappealing blob that was just short of scorched, low on flavor and seemed more like a soufflé than a crab cake. The sides were corn that had been frozen and starchy and the potato was over baked and bone dry. Sorry, will not be dining there again.
(1)Doug B.
DB
(2)Dave Williams W.
Great location for karaoke or playing pool (in the bar section). Decent drink prices make it a place I would go to again. Police station located directly across the street so bring a designated driver (even if there wasn't a police station located so close).
(4)Craig R.
(3)Amber S.
(1)Amanda T.
Excellent food. Dolmades are great. I had the crab cake sandwich everything was awesome and service!
(5)Sandie D.
