Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Excellent pizzas made locally by a non-corporate company. Food is decently priced, and they always have sales. They usually have a pick up special for an XL 2 topping pizza for $10.99. Their subs are good and wait time is small. Check them out!

our favorite local pizza and wings place! love their specialty pizzas!

It was rainy and we weren't in the mood to grill again so we opted for pizza. The previous reviews didn't seem bad and they had really good specials. We bought two XL pizzas with two toppings for $21. Great price! Unfortunately it was bad. The pizza was awful. We barely had sauce on the pizza so it tasted dry. It was loaded with cheese, too much cheese. We're not big fans on ordering chain pizza but Domino's blows this restaurant out of the water. We won't be returning. Go somewhere else if you want a satisfactory meal.

I'm quite disappointed to be giving this location such a low review. I had just moved to the neighborhood in October and decided to finally try this place in December. I had gotten a sandwich and loved it. Though the tahini on it was quite bitter it was still good overall. I even went and got the sandwich again just omitted the tahini. A few weeks ago I got a large Taco pizza and a Greek salad. I LOVED it! So good and cheesy and had so many tortilla chips on it and the Greek salad was also quite good. A lot of feta cheese included in it. Tonight I finally convinced my boyfriend to try something other than his go-to pizza place and to order with me from A-1. I got the Taco pizza again. He ordered the large carry out special with two toppings for 9.99. ( which is a great deal) Tonight must have been the wrong night to order(I hope). My pizza ,instead of having tortilla chips like the menu states, was covered in regular potato chips. Which had become burned from cooking the pizza. Leaving a very burnt taste to the majority of the pizza. His pizza was barely cooked and was extra doughy and stuck to the box. Leaving a slice useless. I called to just let them know of my disappointment. Not really expecting anything in return just wanted to let them know to be more diligent when it comes to following instructions. Ya know, like you should at your job. I wasn't received well and that's just that I guess. Oh well. I may try them again but will probably wait awhile.

Not to shabby, the interior is pretty typical privately own pizza place style. But the food is quite good! The last few times we got pizza it was spot on and they delivered fast. Went in to get a pick up order and the woman at the front desk was friendly and chatted with us while our order was being made. Everything came out great. Worst part about the whole thing was having to wait to get home to eat it!!!

This is my new local go to place for pizza & subs. Everything I've had so far has been delicious with the exception that they can go heavier on the pizza cheese & need to add Greek olives to their Greek salad. But otherwise I'm impressed for a little delivery joint. By far the best cheesesteak around. Tons of lean meat and fresh sub rolls. And very fast & friendly delivery as well. Thank you A-1 for your service.

Love this place. Local and the food is great. I am a fan of the shrimp chicken cheese steak. They make it perfect! The only thing I would change is the bread if they had better bread I would eat there more often. Other than that I usually get the best service when I go there and order versus over the phone which is not bad for me because I live close by. The pizza and wings are great too! Try them out they are pretty nice people!

Stopped in for a quick bite. Has a toasted tuna sub. It was excellent and enough for two people. Great prices, too. Will be back for more.

We found A-1 Pizza while moving my Mom into her new house & haven't ordered out for pizza since. There's booths to sit @ but it's really carry-out décor. We've only had their pizzas & salads but the food is always good. The staff is always busy & though we always order to feed a crowd, we've never had an order mix-up

I used to like it, but the last few times it's been bland. The prices are good but I usually get waited on by someone with major sass. The food is decent enough to go back, the attitudes make me want to go somewhere with courteous employees.

Nothing remarkable about this place. It is a hole in the wall not sure if I would dine in there. I got the cheesesteak which was good and I got my son the grilled cheese. I would go again.

These guys are the best. They are fast and friendly. The owner also isnt scared to get his hands dirty and work. The food is good and consistsnt. Thank you for being an area staple. But they need to clean up the front area a little. Looks like i might catch the flu on those tables. All in all good :)

Love this place! Right up the street from our house, delicious pizza that's very cheesy, nice staff, cheap prices!

Please note: I am not from New York or the surrounding area. I am not a self-proclaimed "pizza expert." I do not understand the concept of "folding" a slice of pizza. My accent doesn't sound like it should be out of a 20's gangster film. I ordered this pizza for delivery, so this review is merely on the pizza and service. If any of these things may discredit me as a reviewer, please stop reading now. This was dinner last night. And holy crap. Awesome pizza. I had a small cheese with banana peppers, and it easily fed two for under ten dollars. There was just the right amount of cheese, the sauce wasn't too sweet or acidic (I hate to admit it but some pizza gives me heartburn). The crust and dough were delicious. As far as service goes? I felt like the order had just been placed when the doorbell rang. Next time I might attempt an actual visit so I can get more of a feel for the place. But trust me: there WILL be a next time.

A-1 is good pizza and damn good wings. I've been happy each time I've ordered here. It's not super authentic Italian and it's not specialty, but it's good pizza. Try A-1, you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I are new to the area and decided to try out the local pizza places before making one a go-to. All I have to say is DONT GO HERE. The crust is much too bread-y, not what you want or expect in a pizza. And it reminded me of frozen. The other ingredients were low quality too. We ended up throwing most of it away. The only reason this place gets a star at all is because of their low cost, but quite frankly, I'd rather them charge more and buy better ingredients.

I went to this place because I read good reviews and wanted to try it out. When I walked in there were two guys working , one was on the phone talking to a friend (I knew this bc he was speaking in another language ) and the other guy was just standing by the grill. There was one person that walked in ahead of me . We both stood at the counter for three min waiting to at least be acknowledged . The owner or whoever he was did turn around and turned back around to finish his phone call which took another min. When he walked over to us , there was no "sorry about that " or "hello , may I help you " instead of that he said "yes ? As if we were bothering him . Then as I was giving him my order, a family member opened the door and they were having a small conversation interrupting my order . I want to use the bathroom to wash my hands and when I walked in the bathroom stunk so bad I almost puked , there was no soap but dish detergent to use instead (see pic) and to top it off the bathroom was so dirty , there were insects crawling around . Finally I get my food and as you can see by the pic , the slice of pizza looked like someone ate half of it . I don't know how delivery is but I wouldn't recommend eating in

I have only ever ordered delivery or take out so I can't speak to the instore service. The food is great, large portions and great taste. They have a ton of options and so far, I have never been disappointed by their food. I highly recommend it.

Another one bites the dust. The pizza I ordered was XL for $8.50, wow, that's a good deal. A-1 pizza is good, however, I specifically instructed I only want cheese, NO TOMATO SAUCE. I guess they can't make a wihite pizza for that price or they don't listen to customers. Well, what can we say about pizza? Expect something different and special? No, not really. I'm still breath taken away by Uno Chicago''s deep dish cheese pizza. A-1 is okay because it's just regular, but for that price, helluva, you can feed your family in 1 hour or just yourself for 3 days.

As a Vegan, I'm always searching for food I can eat in the food black hole that is Millersville, MD. At some point an A-1 Pizza menu showed up at work, and after reading between the lines for anything that I could eat, I found something! A-1 Pizza serves a pretty mean falafel sandwich (served kind of like a Gyro on pita bread). The first time I got it, I had to make sure it did not have yogurt sauce on it, so after some language and expression barriers I learned it was totally vegan and served with tahini dressing and NOT tzatziki sauce. Also you have your choice of red or white onions as well as lettuce and tomato, and I think cucumbers. The first time I ordered this, the falafel was a tad overdone. When I got it the second time the lady serving me, asked if I liked the falafel and I mentioned that the last time it was a little dark. She said "I made this for you and it's perfect this time". It was not the best falafel in the world, but not bad at all, and certainly the best in Millersville, Maryland! The french fries are also good. I assume they are double fried and appear to be from the same source as Mr. Pizza in Glen Burnie, who also serves a mean bag of french fries. I ordered the veggie sub at A-1 Pizza the other day too, and while I could pick any topping, it was pretty un-inspiring. Price for 8" sub with fries and can of soda was $9ish, which of course includes the "Vegan Tax" I am always annoyed when the most expensive items in a sub are omitted (i.e. cheese and meat) and you still pay full price. I'll stick to the veggie sub at WaWa or Royal Farms instead.

The falafel sandwich is delicious. Fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and fava bean falafel on a pita. I never saw it on the menu but knew about it from a helpful yelp review.
