Despite the 25 minute drive from my house, I have eaten at Fiesta many times. I haven't had anything bad on the menu, and the small size of the restaurant ensures prompt service. I would particularly recommend their chicken soup, which features a wonderful blend of fresh ingredients. In my opinion, the best mexican food in Southern Maryland.

Good food. Friendly service. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is kinda small but usually no more than a 10-15 minute wait when they're busy. If you're looking for Mexican fare near Mechanicsville, you can't go wrong with Fiesta.

What a pleasant surprise! My whole family was recently visiting St. Mary's County for the first time. We stopped for lunch at the Fiesta Cafe. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean and well kept. Everyone enjoyed their meal and was very happy with this pick for a lunch stop. I would go here again in a heartbeat.

Portions are large, food was really good and the service was fantastic. Prices are what you'd expect, not much ambiance as the dining room is set up kind of like a bowling alley (tables on either side and big empty space in the middle) but overall everything was great. Our order came quickly, it was hot and there were no mistakes, drinks needing refills were noticed and handled fast and the tables, floor, seats and everything was clean. Parking is easy as it's right in front of the building. Bonus: when you call for takeout the food is just as quickly prepared - I was just told 5 minutes!

Had been a regular customer. Enjoyed most food, served hot most of the time, but have experienced luke warm, solid cheese in my enchiladas and other dishes. Decent food most of the time. Prices were about 4 dollars more than web menu per entree when I went to pick up food for a carry out order. Certainly not worthy of the single $ on Yelp!

e dine here often ... very affordable and very quick service. My favorite is Fiesta steak - rice, onions, zucchini, squash and steak all served together. With every meal you receive complementary chips and salsa (even take out). The service is always great and everyone is friendly. Tip - They have a frequent diner card ... with every purchase you can have your card stamped. Once your entire card is stamped, you get a free entree. The card doesn't expire and they are available at the cash register!

So far the best non-chain mexican food I've found in VA/MD. The waitstaff is really nice, but I wish there were more seats and better set-up. Food is great. The fried ice cream and carnitas are some of the best I've ever had.

Tasty, cheap, and probably the best mexican food in Mechanicsville. The Chipotle shrimp are awesome, but the ground beef is a little bland, so stick with the chicken or shredded beef instead. I was very pleasantly surprised By the quality of desserts!

Just finished dinner with my wife and kids and it was good! We really liked the Fiesta Guacamole appetizer. It had big chunks of avocado and no "paste." The owner said they make it on the spot when you order it and it did taste really fresh. The owner and wait staff were very attentive. My wife had the beef fajitas and the meat was flavorful and tender. Same for the tacos pastores which I had. We will be back!

I believe this old dive used to be a Woods grocery store. But don't judge this book by its cover, the service is great, the staff works hard and is super friendly and attentive. The food is always very very good and the margaritas are even better. One of my favorites in Southern MD.

The BEST mexican food in Southern Maryland. It's a small restaurant, and if you go during dinner time it can be busy, but definitely worth the wait! The chips, salsa, and white sauce are the best I've had. The chicken chimichanga is absolutely delicious and accompanied by refried beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream. I usually have leftovers since they give you so much food. I've tried all the other mexican places (Monterey, Cerro Grande) and this one always stands out. Service is exceptional and the food speaks for itself.

Been going at least once a week almost since they opened. I don't even bother going anywhere else around here unless it's to their sister restaurant Tequila Grill and that's only when Fiesta is packed to the gills. Owner is always walking around checking on the customers and is on first name basis with most of them after only a couple years. Hope they never close their doors and judging by their current trend, they never will. Don't think about it, just go.

The food was good, but check your order before you leave. Ordered 2 beef chimichanga's and a choice of 3-2chicken enchiladas, one cheese. Got home with 3 chicken enchiladas, 1 cheese enchilada and a container of chicken and rice. Have no clue what it was, but it was ok.

This is such a small place that nobody would ever imagine that it's amazing. Truly a hidden gem. It started off as the best kept little secret, but word soon got out about some of the best Mexican food in the entire DC area. Which is surprising since Mechanicsville is by no means with DC city limits. Fiesta's has a capacity of maybe 75 people MAX and virtually no vestibule/waiting area so when it gets crammed it really gets crammed. However-the food makes up for it. Their chips and queso is the bomb. I can eat a whole basket by myself before the waiter even comes over. Their fajitas come out steaming hot and are seasoned perfectly, I recommend the steak. Phenomenal. Fiesta Pollo is a chicken and rice dish that's also to die for. My brother always gets the burrito which puts Chipotle to shame-and he loves Chipotle so that's telling you something. What's the most amazing about this place isn't the fact that the food is awesome or that the prices are so incredible (they are), the food comes out SO FAST. It can be a packed house on a Friday night and food hits the table somehow in less than 10 minutes-often faster. Piping hot and they never do that dance around the table asking "who ordered the fajitas?". They just know. This goes a long way with tips for me. Standard bar fare here, although the strawberry margs are my personal favorite when ordering mexican. Blended perfectly and you don't get an overwhelming taste of tequila. Strong too for the $6 or so bucks. Love coming here because you know the food will be amazing and there will definitely be extras for later! Holes in the wall like this are my favorite places to discover-and they apparently opened a second place to take care of the demand!

Our favorite Mexican cuisine establishment in Southern Maryland. The food has always been excellent and most often, so is the service The wait staff is always friendly, courteous and attentive. Once in a while language can be a problem. Try any of the " fiesta" dishes - they are all very tasty with generous portions One if my favorite dishes is the Chipotle Shrimp - is does have a little bit of a bite.

Ate here on 3/26/14 about 5:30pm Dinner rush not in yet 4 of us eating. Make sure you try the Cheese Dip with your chips or dinner. Food was great, service was great and very inexpensive for the meal.
