Ok, this place has been open since December 2014. I think it's trying to be a NY style deli. However, it is falling a little short in that endeavor. So let's take a look at Big Joes Deli. When you enter, you'll notice a lot of unused space in the front and about 6-7 tables along the walls. They might want to add a few more tables if the patronage picks up a bit more. It doesn't help when the A/C is not kicking and it gets a little warm during lunch. Not the most preferable environment to eat it. There was a TV playing in there, but it had soap operas on, which is not what most people want to watch. Now let's get to the good. I ordered a gyro and beer battered onion rings. The meat was not fresh cut, but more like frozen and reheated on the grill/griddle. Overall, the tzatziki sauce was minimal. Overall, the gyro was pretty dry. Not the best I've had. The onion rings didn't taste all that good. Tasted like frozen rings retried and served, but that's just my opinion. We also had the egg salad sandwich, which was not bad. Overall, we weren't very impressed with the food here. Even though it was recommended to us, I doubt we'll go back.
