This spot was okay. Just stopped in for a carryout order. Lobster pizza is always a big hit with me, and I always love the biscuits there. This place needs to be renovated or moved to another location. There is no natural light in here, and the place looks dark and creepy. From the last time a year ago the place looks the same to me. I think a great renovation, and reopening is in order since everything in laurel is building up.

I wanted to give this place a one star review after my experience. My relatives from Korea came over and we wanted to take them to a tasty seafood place so we chose Red Lobster. When entered and sat down and the restaurant was fairly empty. I think I saw maybe 5 or 6 tables full. It was a tuesday night. It took about 5 minutes to be greeted by our server which I felt was a bit long considering there weren't that many patrons inside the place. I didn't really care too much. She came and I ordered a round of waters for everyone my uncle and I ordered Heinikens and my father ordered a Sams. After he heard both of us order Henie's he ordered one too so we ordered 3 Heinies. I'm not sure how long it took for the server to bring out our beers, but she brought out 2 beers with no glasses on the tray. I reminded her that we ordered 3 and she replied "I know, I'll bring it out." There's no way that she couldn't hold 3 beers at once and so I know for a fact she forgot the third one. That's honestly okay though. People make mistakes. But she didn't say sorry, or anything like that which kind of threw me off..she just said I know I'll be right back. Maybe we're a bit wierd but we like drinking together. I shouldn't take too long to pop off the cap and bring over another one. It took more than 5 minutes to get it, even though we were right next to the bar. We had to ask her twice for the 3rd beer to which she kept replying. I know, I'll get it..Okay?...again no apology. She finally brought out the beer and placed it on the table and walked away without saying anything At this point we only had 4 glasses of water for 7 people. We asked for more water and by the end of the night, we had more than 10 glasses of water and 3 of those 10 glasses weren't even touched. After our appetizers and soups were brought out, our table wasn't cleared. We had to organize everything and put it on the side of the table where there was no space so we just placed everything on the extra chair. I asked her to clear the table for us and handed her the pile of trays that was on the chair. She kind of looked at it and seemingly reluctantly took the plates. There were still several plates on the middle of the table which were also stacked that she didn't take. I understand that many places have busboys to take care of this, but there was no bus boy or anything to clear our stuff. When the food finally came out, the empty trays were on the table and I thought she'd start clearing some stuff out before she left but as she turned her back to us and started to walk away, I asked her to clear the table again. I was absolutely fed up at this point, and I was trying to be as polite as possible and I asked her if I could speak to her manager. As we were eating (though my experience sucked, we all agreed that our food was still pretty delicious). the manager came over and I explained to him our situation. I mentioned that if we were rude in any way possible, then we'd like to apologize as well, but pretty much told him about our awful dining experience because of our server. (I also was a server as well as my younger brother and now how stressful it can be. I'm okay with inexperienced, new servers that don't really know what they're doing. I just have a problem with people that are rude) The reason I am giving this place a 2 star over a 1 is because the manager rectified the situation and the food was actually good. I did not expect any sort of compensation. We can to eat good food and leave satisfied which we did and for that we should pay full price. However, the manager did comp our meal 20% which I did not expect and showed me that at least the manager tried his best to enhance our dining experience. Eventually our server came back and said "I apologize about that." I said thank you. All in all, I will never come back to this establishment again. Even though the manager did a great job of listening and ensuring us that this wouldn't happen again, I don't think I can ever come back.

I seriously dislike most seafood. Let's just say that fish reminds me of not so clean genitalia, so maybe my review on Red Lobster in Laurel maybe a little biased based on the fact that I despise pretty much everything they sell as a normal entree. Now, don't get me wrong, their non seafood offerings are fairly decent. When forced to go here, I generally have the chicken alfredo or something else completely not with the theme of the restaurant. However, the general smell of the place will often make me feel nauseous after a few minutes of being there. That said, the place is relatively clean, the staff are nice, and the parking is actually decent because it's a part of the Laurel Lakes outlet mall area. If they just didn't serve seafood, I would love it. Let's face it, the cheddar biscuits are the real reason to eat at this place. Everything else is secondary.

Can't say much for the food because I was never served. We were seated right away but walked out after sitting there for 25 minutes without even being served our drinks. I'm a pretty patient person and I could understand if it were busy but it was 2:30 in the afternoon and the place was empty. To make matters worse, the one time we did see our waitress, she wasn't very pleasant. Soo needless to say, I will not be coming back.

Well I don't understand all the bad reviews maybe I got lucky. We came right when they opened. Had to wait a moment before they knew we were there. No biggie. Our waiter was excellent. Granted we were the only ones there. I don't think the food tasted like frozen food at all. Everything was great. Server was very accommodating. The drinks ( yes drinks at 11am) were very tasty and weren't "weak" as others suggested. We left pretty twisted haha. I had an wonderful experience here . It was a great way to start off the new year. I will definitely come back here at some point. I really hope that the experience is the same.

If I had the choice, I'd give them no stars. The atmosphere and service here was terrible. I've worked for a Darden company before and since Red Lobster left, they have gone downhill. It took us not too long to get greeted by host then sat at a Booth near the bar. Then when we sat down, we weren't greeted by the server until 8 minutes later. He didn't introduce himself and asked us for our drink order. He mumbled his sentences and looked reluctant to serve us. My boyfriend asked for a margarita and a water. Then when he returned to take the order he only brought my drink. He told us the bartender was busy taking tables. Which is perfectly fine so he asked for his water again. Then another 10 minutes go by after placing our order, we we're brought biscuits but still no drinks for my boyfriend. The biscuits were also uncooked and gooey so I asked for new ones. By now we had wasted 25-30 minutes here and still only got my drink and nothing else. The server was no where in sight neither were any other staff. This was 6:15pm on a Tuesday night. I get that it's slow but no one came back to check on us. We couldn't even find a staff member to complain to. We waited another 10 minutes before walking out to go to the TGIF next door, which was sooooo much better. Again this was my worse experience with this franchise. Its such a disappointmeny.

My wife and I had lunch there on 02/24/2011. The food was very good and we were stuffed when we left. We were seated right away. Usually when we go there for dinner there is a short wait for a table. I started with a great bowl of lobster bisque with the house salad. I had the lobster stuffed Tilapia as the main course. No room for dessert. Service was quick and friendly. I would have given them 5 Stars except that the biscuits that we just love were not the same this time around. We love the Red Lobster! :-)

This was my first visit to a Red Lobster restaurant. After seeing the constant barrage of Red Lobster commercials on TV, I thought I would give this place a try since I love seafood. 1) The waiter acted as though he came to work after smoking weed. Everyone in my party jokingly called him "Mr. Stoner". 2) I ordered the Admiral's Feast with a side of fries. Honestly, everything tasted the same. If I was blind folded I couldn't tell what I was actually eating. Even the fries tasted like fish (and were luke warm) which tells me they cooked the fries in the same grease as the seafood. #epicculinaryfail I did, however, have a really great garden salad w/balsamic vinaigrette. The salad was the only thing that was worthy of praise. 3) The quality of food we received is not worth the price that Red Lobster charges. I can do better cooking at home in my own kitchen. So lesson learned. If I want great tasting, authentic seafood stick to Legal Seafood or Philips Seafood restaurants. Hell, even McDonald's filet-o-fish sandwich tastes better than Red Lobster.

Perhaps lower than what you've even come to expect from once proud chain. Always put your least motivated person on front of house duty, that seems to be the new Red Lobster philosophy. When you are greeted like you are responsible for the death of the hostess' dog, then the dining experience is bound to be poor.

Service was extremely slow, food taste like frozen food, like its been sitting in the kitchen for months and months. Found a hair stuck in the ice from the Margarita i ordered. I do not recommend this red lobster to anyone! I personally would not come here ever again and its a shame cuz my boyfriend and i recently moved in to this town and Red Lobster is one of my favorite restaurants. Sucks! But its by far the worst experience ive ever had.
-Service was so slow I wanted to to scream! The waiter seemed new, that's fine I understand. -They gave us salads with no silver ware Soup came after the meal - restroom was filthy! -food was bland -asked for marinara sauce for our pasta Waiter forgot. Th

I asked for soup instead of salad, i got charged $2.50 for a expresso like size supposedly clam chowder soup. I barely saw any clam in it, a few small pieces. Otherwise, the soup tasted like can soup. I asked for rice as my side and i got charged extra. I couldn't order popcorn shrimp as one of the shrimp for the "Choose any three shrimp" because it would have been extra charge. Prices have been raised very high but food is not that great. Not that great experience!

DISAPPOINTED!! We started with the onion rings (too cooked for me - the inside onion was all dried), stuffed mushrooms (I didn't try it but the kids enjoyed it), salad (hey can't mess salad up...or can you??), biscuits are always on point even though I had 1 that was under-cooked. I ordered the Ultimate Feast, my crab legs tasted like they were old, over-cooked and not seasoned one bit, my shrimp for my shrimp scampi was small but ok, didn't touch the mashed potatoes. My daughter said her shrimp Alfredo wasn't good at all. She didn't eat it. My mom enjoyed the coconut shrimp. I ordered a glass of Riesling and the bottom of my glass was filthy!! It was 5 of us and we were seated at a booth with a chair pulled (I hate that). Even though it wasn't a lot of foot traffic going by the table was pretty small for 5 people to comfortably eat. Our waiter Ahmad was super swamped but did a fantastic job tending to our table. It was pretty crowded when we got there so we had to wait about 40 minutes. This was my second or third time at this Red Lobster and sad to say I don't think I will be going back any time soon. My stomach hurts....

I would never choose cto go to this place, I have friends that like it, so I go because I like my friends. (tonight will be my third very reluctant visit) I already have a bad feeling. I called to make reservations, and the young lady who answered the phone babbled something so quickly I had to have her repeat it twice. I asked to make a reservation and was put on hold for five minutes. I hung up, called back, someone else answered (he was polite and I could understand him) but was put on hold again (appearantly only managers are the only ones who can take a reservation?) The place is overpriced and underwhelming.

Came for a visit yesterday, me my daughter and her father. Service was great! I believe our servers name was Junal but he was excellent, he suggested that I try the New Orleans salmon I loved it! It was something new for me beings though I always get the Ultimate feast. He was very prompt, friendly and considerate. I will be back to this location.

Since this is a renowned franchise the only valuable information I can offer to any patron is that the food was very salty, the server was really strangely and overly talkative, and the heat was on so high I was feeling dehydrated just by sitting there. The prices were also much higher than you would expect at a mediocre franchise chain restaurant.

This location was okay, it's what you might expect from Red Lobster: not too bad, and not exceptionally good. I will add that the cheese biscuits at this location were not that good. If there's one think Red Lobster is known for, it's those biscuits, so I was a bit disappointed.

My wife and I have been to this Red Lobster many times and usually issue free. We noticed that tables around us that ordered their food after us got their food long before us. When our dinner finally arrived mine wasn't warm at all while my wife's meal was super hot. We brought it up to our server who brought over the manager. Turns out the meal my wife ordered had ran out of the preprepared stuff so they had to make a whole new one which took longer, but the kitchen didn't inform our server. The manager covered our entire bill for the mishap. I've had a portion of the meal deducted but never the entire meal. I also left a glowing review of the manager and server on the Red Lobster site.

First time coming to this Red Lobster... and I have to say I had the best service from Phil.. extremely attentive like all servers should be. I think this place is worth the drive for the service and food. Got to try the New Bakes... they are awsome!

4 course seafood....$15 Other than the specials they have and the drinks. Red Lobster food is high blood pressure certified. They have entirely too much salt in their food. TOO MUCH!!! Love the drinks but they also have entirely too much sugar. Red Lobster is bad for your health. SMH. Lower the sodium and sugar contents and you'll be much better. Too many seafood restaurants in the DMV to go here. In my opinon.

Sorry - I know that Red Lobster is a chained seafood restaurant, and I know better - but this Red Lobster in particular has some good food and service.. consistently. I agree with others, the cooks use way too much butter and salt. Their drinks are also very high in sugar. However, I always have grilled salmon and steak with mixed veggies and wild rice. I don't order drinks with sugar. I hate to go all alcoholic on you, but I am addicted to their DIRTY MARTINIS. They make the best! 5 stars if only for the bartender! Don't judge me!

My wife had taken the afternoon off and we were about to see a movie when traffic was way too backed up on the B/W Parkway. So we took a detour and ended up at the Red Lobster for lunch. For some reason, my wife likes the Red Lobster. OK. She likes the biscuits. As for me, I thought I would try their "fresh fish" - Rainbow Trout, wood grilled. It was OK. A little heavy on the oil/butter or whatever seasoning they used. The broccoli was fine as were the masked potatoes. The dessert was pretty good, too. What got to me was the overly loud 80s pop music blasting through the restaurant's sound system. It was just a little too much for a quite meal on a slow day (the Friday of the July4th long weekend) Really, this is pretty pedestrian. It ain't cheap either. My recommendation is that if you like seafood, find a really good seafood place. Red Lobster is kinda like the McDonald's of seafood places. Fast and decent and you know what to expect.

Arranged a group outing for myself and my in laws to Red Lobster for my mom in law's bday. The hostess was kind and seated us promptly. However I was very disappointed in our waitress, Caroline. We were a group 9 and she stood to make pretty good money from our group, she didn't so much as smile once. Now I can deal with a bland personality but this girl didn't even try. She was dry and borderline rude. Our salads took FOREVER to come out (yup, our salads, how hard is that?) My father in laws food ended up getting comped because they messed up his order, and my mother in law was less than impressed, which is unfortunate because we rarely are all able to get together. The waitress couldn't even smile when she sung happy bday to my mom. The kicker? The 18% tip that was added onto our bill for her "service." I know this is standard, but she barely deserved 5% let alone 12. Bleh....next time no economy seafood places for us. This sucked.

Just had dinner. Got shrimp cocktail..... Shrimp at a seafood restaurant should be excellent, yes? Small, limp and plate full of water... Not good. I had chicken fettuccini. On the menu it was with a twisted pasta, on the plate it was with a different noodle and the bottom 1/2 inch of the plate was butter. The four pieces of chicken were almost all indelible. I kept looking for a good, tender piece that was not gristly or overlooked. Finally gave up. Won't be back.

Was dying for Lobster after the epic FAIL I had at G&M the day before. Didn't want to travel far so I stopped at RL. Normally not a big fan of chain seafood, but I went after the big game (ugh, Giants win) and it was virtually empty at the bar area. The food was what I expected, no complaints. Service was good, bartender was very friendly but not overly so. the only thing I found awkward was the bar setup. Eating alone has it's disadvantages, people stare at you. Not sure if they feel pity of if they are just plain old nosy, but wherever you sit at in this bar you are like a target for someone to stare in your face. Even the patrons in the "restaurant area" can still look over and see you. I think the bar needs to reconfigured to be a little more private as in many other restaurants.

I've always wanted to try Red Lobster since the TV commercials and lobsters sound good in general. I went there for my birthday with my parents and that place was pretty empty so I was hoping for good and fast service. The waitress taking the order was fine at first, but it took more than 45 minutes for the food to come out. My mom had an order of medium rare steak, but it came out fully cooked. I ordered an alfredo and the sauce was extremely cheesy. When we finished, we were waiting for the waitress to walk nearby but she was no where to be found, none of the workers were to be found. It seemed as if all the workers were hiding in the back. When I found a waiter walking by, I asked him for the check and he told me to go tell my waitress, how could I tell her if she was no where to be found, he could've at least went back to call her but instead he gets ready to go home and leaves. I found that extremely rude. I WOULD NOT recommend going there.

Low grade seafood, heavy on the salt. Priced high for what you get. Find myself here 2-3 times a year somehow. Never impressed or really wowed or fully satisfied...always leave feeling like I missed out or something was held back.....

Laurel is rife with good BBQ, but you'd sooner find a functioning congress than you would great seafood in Laurel. Food - The best part of the food here, and the reason for the 2nd star, is the AYCE Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Everything else is bleh~ My family grew to love and crave lobsters since my sister went to school in Maine, so we'll go to RL for lobster every now and then. Big mistake. Every. Single. Time. More than $40 for a 2lb lobster that was likely cashing in on social security and was a member of the AARP for crustaceans. The meat doesn't taste quite right and like ol grandpa, the flesh doesn't quite fit the skin anymore, but in the case of the aged lobster, it has an exoskeleton. The rest of the seafood items are just ok - I think you're better off at Bottom of the Bay just up Rte. 1. Location - With limited options for seafood in the area, this place can get packed. Expect a wait during prime time on the weekends. In this shopping center, I'd recommend eating at Famous Dave's and even Wendy's over this place. Service - The service here has always been friendly but they tend to forget about you. All in all, a subpar experience in Laurel. Except for the biscuits - those things are amazing!

You can't expect much when it comes to Red Lobster .... You shouldn't expect much, or anything at all with the Laurel location. Service sucks. Food sucks. Overall, everything at this restaurant sucks. And no, I'm not having a bad day or have any issues with the Red Lobster chain. I just think that Red Lobster sucks, and Red Lobster in Laurel sucks even more than other Red Lobsters.

Red Lobster is OK, but that's about it. It is like the Olive Garden of seafood. Nothing is too amazing, but you know what to expect going in. I think the cheddar bay biscuits are amazing, but they are also a full meals worth of calories and fat. Really the only reason to go to Red Lobster is for the all you can eat shrimp.

I come here each time thinking it would be better but it never does! Service is pretty terrible- we are ready to order and our waitress doesn't show up for a long time (we didn't even know who our waitress was after we got seated!), we ordered and it took at least half an hour for our food to arrive (not even bread was offered to us!), or we would be done eating and our waitress was chatting it up with her coworker (we would try to make eye contact). Food is very mediocre- I've gotten sick here at least once or twice!

Service was fast and no wait time @ 630Pm. Great food for the pricey value. Love to come back with out of town friends.

Don't come here too late, they will try to rush you out and the foods bottom of the barrel. Of course the biscuits are great! I usually love the snow crab legs. My fiancé loves the salmon. When it's good it's great when it's not it sucks. Bahama mamas are good to drink with this!

No stars because customer service is terrible. My order was never placed by the server so there was no food.

(1)Adam T.
