Ok....so stopped here because I wanted some BBQ. It was mehh...kinda OK. So I got 5 bone regular ribs with mac and cheese and baked beans. I say it on my reviews sides make the restaurant. Baked beans were great....Mac and Cheese wasn't too shabby either. Had melted cheese on it, the top and the bottom. It was actually great. The beans had chunks of brisket in it....that was good too. So there are three sauces KC, Honey Heat (I think), and Bay (something). All the sauce were good...my faves were the Honey Heat and the Bay. The Honey Heat was a little thin...but it taste the best. The KC was just regular BBQ sauce. On to the ribs...they were smoked well, but they were overcooked. So they fell too much off the bone and didn''t have a real pull. Had a good taste. Oh they were small too...not sure if I got the small end of the rib or not...or maybe they were St. Louis style...either way it goes...they were small...and what I got truly wasn't 5 bones. They are worth trying. My preference is grilled ribs tho. I also got a pork sandwich....excuse me while I fall asleep eating this thing with about a 1lb or pork on it. That was good too. Overall I was satisfied. Nothing rant worthy. I will be back to try all the types of BBQ meat they have. Service was fast too...and they had real sweet tea.

This location definitely has great service. Any kind of issue my family has had, they quickly fix with a smile and no hesitation. For example if we were missing a side dish, and we were o mention it, there would be no problem in them providing us with a new one. The food is very good in addition to the service. It is fairly priced and the meat is well portioned.

I love Mission BBQ! I went with a friend when it first opened at Laurel Town Center and we were greeted and personally walked through the menu and the dining experience by the manager, Chris. Since then, we've been proud patrons; we just don't eat here as much because of weight loss goals. :( Our usuals were some combo of the two-meat sampler. I love the brisket (lean) and classic sausage. I've tried most of the sides and can say the mac & cheese, fries, baked beans, green beans, cornbread and seasonal cheesy potatoes and they're all fresh, made in-house and very tasty. The bread pudding dessert they had in autumn was delicious, too. Tips: (1) If you're there at 12, be prepared to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. (2) Try the sauces, all named for various southern BBQ capitals from Texas Twang to Tupelo Honey Heat to Bay-BQ. (3) Enjoy!

The Mac n cheese is SO GOODDDD. You have to try that. I also had the half of chicken and it was falling off of the bone. It was really delicious. The service in this place was not what I expected since it is a chain - everyone was so friendly and helpful. We were greeted coming in, when my food was ready someone (not sure if he was a manager or just a cook) spoke to me about all of their BBQ sauces and was just so nice. We were greeted at the table again and then on the way out the same man that helped me with the BBQ sauces came and spoke to me before leaving and asked me how my visit was. He even remembered my name! I definitely recommend coming here - I know I'll be back to another location or to this one next time I'm in Baltimore!!

Literally some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Definitely the best BBQ I have ever had in Maryland. Great atmosphere, fantastic quick service, and delicious food. This place makes you feel welcome and relaxed. The pulled pork is my favorite. I also really love the variety of drinks you can get. Personally, I love to get the Cheerwine.

Great food and great service. Most importantly portions of the proceeds support the Wounded Warrior Project. For that, there are not enough stars to rank.

Oh boy, this is going to be fun. So, it's rare that I find a place this good. I've decided I want to move in. Like, I'm serious. I want to live here. LOL A place where you get greeted at the door. With smiles and ridiculously fast and wonderful service. Seating for any size group. TV's playing sports, Free WiFi, a men's bathroom built for men. Oh the joy. Come on? Really? I let them know I'm not leaving. I was serious. They said that they would convert one of the booths into a bed for me. I've been here 3 hours...or more. Watching Soccer and working. Oh yeah, lunch So this is my first visit and you start by grabbing a cold soda out the ice chest. I chose the creme soda. The menus are at the door, however, the big board will do. Mmmm, pulled chicken salad please. No sides today. Although the fires do look good. So, before I could get my water poured, they are calling my name. Really? That was actually too quick. Like 30 seconds and my order was called. Grabbed my tray and smiled. Chicken was piled high on my soon to discover soft bun. I spent the next 5 tasting the Barbecue sauces and NC Vinegar Mix'er. My faves are the Bay B Que and the Tupelo Honey Heat. Mixed both with the Vinegar. Not even sure the sandwich needed all that since the pulled chicken is moist and has plenty of flavor. All in all, a great first visit. Just learned there is another in Annapolis. I'll hit that one next. I am a hot box and thought the air was blasting so for some, it may be cold. Bring a jacket just in case. You'll be fine or just dine on the outside. I would have done that if Gold Cup prelims weren't playing.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I live in fed hill so I go to the canton one all the time... And now they just put this near my work... Jackpot! The people who work there are the friendliest! It's a little more expensive for fast bbq... But totally worth it! I almost always get the pulled pork with fries of Mac n cheese! The platter comes with cornbread as well. I made some coworkers come with me last Friday, the first week it was open, and they were just as in love! First off the came around with a bunch of samples to try the different meats. I had spare ribs. Turkey. And the brisket for samples while we were in line. Then after we were sitting and eating the same sample lady came around with a tray of fries, she asked if we wanted to try them and of course we did because they had a special seasoning on them.. They're called freedom fries. We thought we would just take one but she left the whole tray at our table to eat!! This place is the greatest. Great food. Great atmosphere. And great service!

A+++ A must to go to place and experience its food plus interior concept... Lack of flavoring and aroma on the meats compared to Route 1/Savage/JessUp food trucks or home-made BBQ's. Just use their sauces on everything. I do agree the sausage chasing was touch to bite on compare to gourmet store bought sausages....plus grilled corn on the cob would really be great !!

Tried this place for the first time expecting some really good BBQ but unfortunately the BBQ was just average. I got the pulled pork sandwich with fries. The sandwich had a nice amount of pork on it but the meat was slightly dry and you have to add your on sauce which comes on the side. The sauce definitely adds to the flavor of the sandwich but the sandwich would be a lot better if the meat was cooked with the sauce. I like spicy sauce so I tried all three of the spicy flavors. My favorite was the tulepa heat. It was sweet then had a nice kick at the end. The bay BBQ sauce had old bay seasoning in it which was a bit overbearing for me and the KC sauce was too zesty. Honestly, the best part of this meal was the fries. They were perfectly seasoned. As far as customer service, everyone was great and friendly except one of the cashiers. She seemed as though she didn't want to be there and barely said hello. She rang me up for a meal when I specifically said that I did not want a meal but she said she did it anyway because it would be the same price as getting two separate items. She was wrong so the gracious manager gave me the correct change. I never had a cashier ring me up for something intentionally even though I didn't ask for it. I wonder how many other people she did that too? Hmmm... Overall, this place is clean and the food is ok. Would I come back again?... Most likely not..I've had way better BBQ at other places!
(3)Sue-Ann A.
Loved it...casual dining you order what you want kinda like a lunch counter but they check on you to make sure you have what you need...the brisket is Yumazing. The mac and cheese is from scratch with real cheese not cheese product...corn bread also has pieces of corn in it too......the peach cobbler though....#drooling I just wish they had much bigger sides...their Bbq sauces are great too. All around good eats and great pricing. You should def eat here
(5)Reginald C.
Great customer service. We were first timers and Karen was very knowledgeable of the menu. Counter service was great as well. Again, we were first timers so the young lady at the register was very patient with us and even allowed a taste test of side items. Now the reason for the 3 stars. I'm from the south so knowing how hard it is to find good barbque in these parts, when I do, I expect it to be HOT temperature wise at least. 80 percent of my food was not. Funny part was that besides needing a little salt here and there, I was satisfied. Not saying I'd drive all the way from DC for it but if I'm in the area again and have a taste for barbecue(as we did today) I'd probably stop in. I'd definitely insure my food was hot though.
(3)Crystal C.
The staff were so friendly and helpful ! I recently visited from Virginia and I will be coming back. Everything on the menu is delicious. I recommend the Maggie's Mac n cheese and the brisket .
(5)Tuan H.
The food here is good, typical BBQ type food. I preferred the chicken there, very moist and juicy, probably the best item on the menu for my taste buds. The area is growing, the shopping center has a nice movie theater, department stores, and grocery place. Back to Mission BBQ though, staff is great, and service is fast, and they serve alcohol too. BBQ + Beer = great!

My son got stationed in the area 5 months ago. He just discovered this place and took me to his new favorite restaurant. Glad he did. Very casual but enjoyed the dinner. You place ur order and with 3 minutes it's ready. I had the bbq ribs, my wife the brisket ssndwich, my son the pulled pork and my daughter in law the pulled chicken. They had a variety of bbq sauces on the table...Texas one was the best. Fresh french fries. ...everybody loves their meal. ..no leftovers tonight. They also give a portion of their profits to wounded warrior so you have to respect that. Place was packed so others must agree with me...hoping my son takes me back on my next visit

First time to this location and 1st time to Mission BBQ chain. 5 stars for atmosphere, service, cleanliness and support of public safety, military and WWP, but that's where the good ends. The BBQ is terrible! The Brisket was dry like a desert and overly seasoned that made it so salty. The baby back rib was a little better, but I've had better at non-BBQ restaurants. The pulled pork was dry like the brisket and lacked real smoked flavor. The sandwich's bread was so bad my 9 year was complaining about how stale it tasted. The sides were ok. I do hope their food gets better because we need good restaurants like this.

Mission Salty bootlicker, ok before going in i didn't realize this was a church for obese troop worshipers and it had a bunch of cops in there, as soon as i went in i said im never coming here again, i mean i get it your trying to exploit people who would gush over anyplace that has " the american way" in their title, whether the food sucked or not, if that's your business angle then oh well..i just wont come back, but i didn't give it a low rating because of that. i took one big bite of the brisket and had to force it down as it felt like a pile of salt was in my mouth, afterwards i thought maybe i should have spit it out. the french fries were under cooked. At least the price was fair, because if it wasn't i would be telling you how much of a ripoff it was. the ribs were not better than Shane's Rib Shack they were unnatural looking because they were so flat and boxy, they are obviously cooking stuff and letting it sit and re-heating it when you get it. The food came out quick(too quick to have been cooked when i ordered it), its a little odd having a busboy coming up to you and trying ask how everything is and if you need anything to let him know...im like dude i got food in my mouth i brought this from the service area to here myself quit trying to shmooz me for a tip when you haven't done anything, i mean are you here to refill the drinks..no(because they are self serve fountain) ...well...move on maybe you guys like eating with a bunch of skinheads with guns and clown costumes on surrounding you but that's not for me.

We're from the South so our BBQ expectations are on the higher side. Yet, these Georgians approve! It's not the best BBQ I've had, by far, but it's good and it's worth it. We will go back again! For specifics... Like that they have plenty of meat options! I don't do red meat or pork, do the turkey AND chicken options are greatly appreciated. We were afraid there wouldn't be much for me, yet not the case! Pulled chicken was excellent. Sandwich bum was wonderful, soft, yet more than your simple hamburger roll. Sides needed a tad more seasoning, but decent. The sauces have great options and can be mixed. Staff was wonderful! Very kind and helpful!! I found a small piece of plastic in my sandwich (no worries, it was prior to eating it! It appeared to be a piece of packing or wrapper.) yet they quickly replaced my plate, gave us a free desert, and two sandwich tickets on the house! Very nice! We live close so I'm sure we'll be quick to stop back by again sometime in the near future!

first tried them at annapolis. was pleasantly surprised. second, went back to the annapolis location. was amazed. third, came to this location. my thought hasn't changed. just recently visited famous dave's a few times around germantown. i liked them but made me think of mission bbq. that's how they get 5 stars from me.
(5)Andrew R.
2 meat platter is great. Tender meat. Love the bay b que sauce. Mac and cheese is awesome. Great iced tea. Only negative I've had was first time I went I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and the bun was terrible. Not sure if it was stale or just terrible, so I don't order sandwiches now. Staff is quick, nice, clean.

This place is awesome! 1. The most patriotic restaurant I have ever been too, and I'm leaving feeling proud to be an American where at least I know I'm freeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! 2. Customer service is top notch. 3. The food is good and love the selection of dipping sauces.
(5)Barry D.
I love the brisket here, always tasty, and plentiful. I also really love the fries, though I would skip them if necessary in favor of the macaroni and cheese which rivals my own homemade mac & cheese. I've tried the turkey, and while they had it offered snagged some prime rib as a blue plate special. All very good, though I'd rather stick with the brisket. Note that I'm not a fan of BBQ sauces and don't use any sauces on my food, so can't comment about the sauces here, though I have co-workers that love this place like I do and they are all very happy with the various choices that are offered. Note that I'm proud to see this place so supportive of our troops, and love that they play the national anthem at noon daily (stopping everything as they do). I wish other businesses had a similar level of respect :-)

I'm very close to becoming a fan at this Mission BBQ. The service is spot on. Everyone is eager to help; this is something I could easily get used too. Had the prime rib and string beans with bacon and hubby had small rack rib, with a side of cheesy potatoes and pecan casserole. Loved that slab of prime rib and it's accompanying au jus. The meat was cooked perfectly and the beans, savory - though a tad salty. We were treated to a side of their hand cut fries. Cut back on the heavy hand to the seasoning and you may just have a winner. Used the fries to sample and sop up the sauces on the table. My fav was a honey barbecue - sweet w/ good kick.

I have had bbq from around the country and I must say this place is on point. The chicken truly has a smoked taste....the maccorni and cheese I thought my mom was in the back making....and the service is excellent. Recommend anyone looking for some quick and delicious bbq to check this place out
(5)Darrin R.
While on a business trip to DC, I spend some time with some family who took me to this fine BBQ establishment. this chain takes great pride in honoring veterans and are proud to show it! The food here was very good and was very surprised in having good BBQ on the East Coast! This establishment is high class in my opinion with great respect for veterans and the military as well as serving excellent barbecue! This place is a must do!
(5)Jojo L.
A must for Foody Lovers Friendly Staff and very friendly staff. Cozy place w/ nice ambiance. Will definitely be back for second.
(5)Jubilee C.
Consistently delicious and fresh food. Lower prices than other area stores, healthy options like the whole sweet potato. I highly recommend.

Simply put, this is the best BBQ experience that I've had in the area. I arrived this morning at a few minutes after 11. A helpful employee waved to me so I knew which way to go to order and then helpfully and cheerfully took my order. She was happy and professional throughout. After they called my name, another helpful employee asked if I'd ever been there before. Staing that I hadn't, he explained quickly how their meats were cooked with no added spices but there are 6 kinds of bbq sauce on every table to experiment with. He explained how the sauces are arraigned as well as where the hot sauce was and then he pointed out "Karen". Karen is the outreach coordinator and today she was working the floor. If I needed anything at all, just raise your hand and Karen will be right over. She stopped by my table (and all the others) to offer ketchup or anything else I might need, greeted me like a long list friend and asked how the meal was. Obviously the place is military themed and I'm a vet. Once we broached that topic, I really got a sense that these guys aren't service themed because it's a good shtick, it's because that's who they really are. Now, the food. I had a half pound of pulled chicken, fries and an Arnold Palmer that I poured out of their ample iced tea and lemonade fountains. The fries were hot, salty and crispy. Perfectly seasoned and plenty to use as I experimented with the sauces. The complimentary corn bread was sweet and crumbly. The chicken was pulled perfection. It was moist, flavorful and even served at the perfect temperature. Karen worked the room greeting guests as I sat there, the counter staff cranked out orders and smiled at everyone. Heck, even the busboy was friendly. Food was a solid 4 stars. Atmosphere and staff was a 5 plus. This is my new go to for lunch in Laurel.
(5)Ike O.
The food was delicious, the front end ladies were sweet and gorgeous and the young man who served me was super polite. I'd visit again.
(5)Robert R.
Got NC pulled pork. BBQ was ok not great. Meat was kind of dry and French fries were warm not hot. All of the staff is very nice. While I support the wounded warrior Project the staff seems like they are under a lot of pressure to up sell to the Warrior Project souvenir cup. I have gone to this location now three times since they open And it seems like there management staff is really leaning on them to up sale to the souvenir. Myself I would rather just see a collection box to drop a donation in if the customer wants to.
(3)Pat H.
Fast service and good food, especially the green beans. All of my dining experiences have been positive ones at Mission. LOVE the pulled pork.
(4)Mike H.
Grew up in Laurel so I'm happy to see the renewal of what I grew up knowing to be Laurel Mall. Was excited to see a BBQ place in the neighborhood and even happier to see the social cause as well. The experience was a bit uneven. Excuse me if I'm a bit too critical but just giving my 2 cent. The person who took my dad's order struggled to get it right. Her mind was clearly somewhere else and it was annoying to both me and my dad. Immediately after my dad ordered the cashier couldn't recall what he just said. We did this dance three times. I was up next. I thought that given the lack of attention she showed to getting my dads order right she'd be more focused on getting my order right. The first time. No such luck. I repeated my order twice again before she got it right. In all honesty, I think Mission may want to consider less options on their menu. While there are only about 5 meats I think think each meat has at least two different styles to choose from. Perhaps streamlining the menu will help. The food came quickly. The woman who gave us our food did a great job of walking me through the order and talking about the sauces. I got the brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, fries and coleslaw. I got the brisket lean, and it was a bit too dry and way to salty for me but maybe I shouldn't have gotten it lean. I think it would of benefitted from the fat. The sausage I didn't love. The cheddar and jalapeno really didn't mix very well and the casing was pretty tough. Would of loved to have more tender meat but it just wasn't meant to be. The fries were nothing special either. Pretty sure that they're the same frozen fries you'd find at Applebees. The slaw didn't wow either but few do. Periodically I'd see staff walking around and they were super helpful. This helped to make the experience a bit more positive. Overall: The food wasn't great but the service, with the exception of the cashier who just couldn't focus, was really solid. I think the experience was ok. I don't think I'd recommend it. There's a BBQ restaurant that's been on Main Street for a while that offers much better BBQ. I thought the price point was a bit overpriced for the quality of food but I'm sure there's a certain cost that's built in do to the cause--which is fine if you wanna support our first responders, and why wouldn't you.
(2)S W.
Overpriced. Salmon...overcooked. Wasted time and money. Wish I'd gone to BJs across the way. I'm never disappointed there. I'll never visit another Mission BBQ again. Not impressed.
(1)Ty C.
Giving this place 3 stars only because tis the season of giving. Ate here tonight, called my order in and had my husband pick the order up. I was really excited to eat here, but hate to say, this will be my last time. Cost: Overpriced! I expected to pay about 20 bucks, but my meal, 1 meal (3 meat combo with fries) was 25 bucks! That alone blew my mind! Service: It was decent. I explained to the young lady this was my first time eating here and she did a pretty good job guiding me through the ordering process. Food: Fries and brisket weren't bad. Brisket was what they called wet style. It was seasoned well, a lot of fat, but flavors where there. Jalapeño cheddar sausage, the casing was so tough I had to eat it like it was an artichoke. Chicken, flimsy skin, just not what I thought it would be. Ok flavors, but nothing to brag about. Overall: I'll pass
(3)Janice L.
If you love BBQ, you HAVE to try this place. I got their smoked prime rib as one of their black plate specials and mmmm....so good! Their sides were awesome too - mac n cheese and green beans n bacon. I mean, how can you go wrong with bacon? Will definitely be back to try the other meats!
(4)J.R B.
Best BBQ period. Love this location, clean restaurant, excellent food and the staff is awesome. Very friendly! Casey is a great employee and goes the extra to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Will always keep coming back.
(5)Laura B.
Ehhhhhh, after falling in love with DC City Smokehouse, I've been on a BBQ love fest. Was driving by the new Town Center and saw the Mission sign so I decided to give it a try. The people behind the counter were all very nice and I was excited to see they have Big Red soda bottles, which is the perfect compliment for BBQ (my family is from Texas so we know these things). I got the two meat combo with ribs and brisket with Mac and Cheese. The food was decent, but not the best ever. I may be bias since I am in love with another BBQ spot, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go. They remind me a lot like Famous Dave's, there are different sauces to choose from which is similar as well. I'd say give it a try, but it's not the best BBQ out there.
(3)Patrick G.
Great food and great service. Love the cheddar and jalepeno sausage....actually, everything I've tried has been awesome. I highly recommend Mission BBQ.
(5)Christina E.
Came here for lunch with a few coworkers yesterday and the food was absolutely amazing!!!! Can't wait to dine here again. By the way I had the brisket and mac n cheese.
(5)Richard B.
Outstanding service and the food is great. They treat the customers with respect and since im a service member thay really do a good job serving military members and all customers for that matter. The food is great i had a pulled pork sandwich and the meat is tender and their bbq sauces are great.
(5)Alexandra P.
Pretty good! I've tried the Columbia location and they are pretty comparable although the Columbia location seems to have a more senior staff. I love the brisket, cheesy potatoes, and green beans. The pulled pork is ok but not my favorite. This place is the best BBQ you can find in the area unless you prefer famous Daves style BBQ. Will continue to frequent to satisfy my BBQ cravings.
(4)Debra B.
I love Mission BBQ. My family placed a large order for a party recently and the whole process couldn't have been simpler. The catering staff helped me pick the right items for my event (we ended up with pulled pork, pulled chicken, and the chopped brisket). Mission supplied generous amounts of their awesome sauces and rolls. Everything arrived on time and ready to serve. Naturally, the food got RAVES!
(5)Stephen D.
That smokey bbq taste is amazing in the meat that comes out from the smoker they have which is a work of art itself. Even the side items are good.
(5)Kevin C.
First visit. Great food, great service and good prices. Comfortable atmosphere. I need to try the ribs next.
(5)James G.
Smoked Turkey! .....should be the symbol for the USA, not the bald eagle. You were right Ben F.!!
(4)Valarie M.
My first visit to Mission BBQ was at the Columbia location. They were attentive and excited with this being my first visit to a Mission BBQ. They suggested a few menu items and the seasonal item of the day. During my dining experience, the staff monitor the dining area, and also offered a to-go box. I was expecting the same from the Laurel location, but disappointed. The person who took our order was totally disconnected, bored, and to be honest "rude". Once our order was completed we did not receive a "Thank you" just handed me my receipt. When I asked for a to-go box and plastic bag, the response was very slow. The only positive was the dining staff offered the diners a cupcake for Valentine's Day.
(2)J.K. Y.
The place was packed when I came in but the staff were able to get my order out pretty quickly. Had the brisket, chicken, and sausage with a side order of green beans. Mission BBQ does their meats in a dry rub style. That is they put no sauces on the meats during cooking and it's up to you to add your own sauces when you get your order. The chicken was really good and cooked just right. The brisket and sausage were not bad, but the sausage casing they use was the thickest, toughest sausage casing I've had in a long time. It took me a while to chew through it. But the thing I that most disappointed me were the green beans and bacon. The green beans were cooked to the point of being mush and considering I paid nearly $9 for the side, I was not happy at all.

Recently tried this restaurant. Everything is a la cart. I wish they did have platters but all individually priced. Friend got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the Rib Jr kids meal because I wasn't that hungry but could go for a bite. My 2 ribs were tender and the sauce is amazing. Pulled pork was packed with meat. Fries were tasty they need to work on the mac n cheese it was cheesy but felt like it was missing something. Would definitely eat here again. The smokey mountain and bay BBQ sauce is the move.
(4)Jack K.
I'll give this place four stars, despite the fact that they messed up our order. The manager lady was really nice and went way out of her way to make everything right (including a free dessert). The food itself was excellent. I really enjoyed the jalapeño sausage (I love the hot stuff) and the brisket (ordered moist) was wonderful. The pulled pork was good but not on par with the other two meats. The sides rocked as well.
(4)david p.
Brisket was delicious. Baby back ribs were so so. Loved that they brought free samples of things around.
(4)Erick G.
Honestly this is probably one of the best restaurant experience I've ever had. This was my first time coming in with my sister and my girlfriend. We were greeted by a employee named Chris who was really welcoming and could tell we've never been here before. He gave us his suggestions as well as let all of us sample some pulled pork. When we decided to order our food Chris brought us our food as well as walked us through all their different bbq options that they had, which i really liked. All his recommendations were spot on from the Alabama sauce with the fries to the North Carolina vinegar on the pulled pork sandwich. As far as the food goes everything was phenomenal. The ribs were fall of the bone, the mac and cheese was perfect just the right amount of cheese and the noodles weren't over-cooked like some places. The fries were great especially with the Alabama sauce (that Chris recommended) as well as the coleslaw. All in all the food was so amazing but Chris made our first experience their one to remember. The food industry needs more people like Chris who is very knowledgeable and friendly.
(5)Ace J.
I give it 3 stars for the barbecue and a additional star for the hospitality. The barbecue doesn't really stand out. It's not bad, but it's not worthy of competing in a barbecue cook off either. just plain average barbecue. The portion sizes are not consistent either. If you don't use barbecue sauce that they have on the table. The sandwich is worthless. The bread pudding is toooooooooooooooooo sweet. If you try it, don't be surprised if you have six cavities after eating the nonsense.
(4)Duane B.
Great food with good prices. I had lean brisket and that was good. Service was great with a friendly staff.
(4)Jack W.
This place was hard to find. The Google map directions initially took us to the wrong shopping center. This restaurant is located in the new Laurel Town Centre. There's not a lot of street parking and it's easier to park behind the Moe's Southwest Grille. The food was OK. I ordered the 2 meat platter combo and chose the brisket and pulled pork. The portions were average sized and I received a drink and fries with the combo. The pulled pork tasted pretty good and the brisket was a little fatty but it was OK. The fries were a little soggy. This place looked a lot of Urban BBQ but I think the food at Urban BBQ tasted better. The staff was very friendly. I thought the cost was a little high for this type of restaurant. I ended up spending a little under $12.71 for the combo meal with drink for lunch.

I'm a regular at this place. The workers are enthusiastic and the service is great. I generally get the smoked turkey as an entree, which is always juicy and delicious. Once, I tried the brisket, but it was just a bit dry for my taste. All of the sides are fantastic, with my favorite being the baked beans. Lots of suace options, so there's something for everyone (I like the Honey Hot and the Memphis Belle). This is an especially good choice if you're looking to grab a good, hot lunch in the Laurel area. Paid about 12 bucks for meat with 2 sides and a drink.

My wife and I have fallen in love with the food at Mission BBQ in Laurel, MD. The brisket is very tasty. I usually get it moist, but they also serve it tender. The turkey is very good as well. It picks up the flavor of the smoke really well. The service is always top notch. It is easy to tell when a restaurant is well managed and treats its employees well. Mission does both.

My first visit (Monday night) was well worth it. Wife and I both had the beef brisket. Good food, quick order filling, friendly helpful employees. Looking forward to coming back as well as the next time that their food 2-1/2 truck is at Jailbreak Brewery.

First visit, too much interruption and no privacy. My husband and I are hearing impaired. We were having the conversation and eating when the first busboy walked back and forth by our table and gawked at us several times. Felt uncomfortable.Talked to the manager. She talked to this busboy. We moved to the different table and thought finally we had the privacy. I was wrong. The other manager came to us and apologized and gave us the pecan pie and the card. Then, the third manager came to us and showed us the apology note. Then, the other busboy bent over and took the tray between me and my husband cutting off our conversation. Then, the same other busboy walked past us and looked at me two times. My husband got up and left. I approached this same other busboy and told him that he was rude. I left not finishing my dinner. Really it is the management responsibility to ensure that patrons be left alone and enjoy their meal. We doubt we'd go there again.

Mission barbecue has five star service especially for rent fast food restaurants the servers come to you and collect your plates and always check on you to make sure you're okay. Their food is impeccable and the six different sauces to choose from our absolute delightFul! Between the service, the staff, and the mouthwatering food I don't know what's better! I can't wait until the next time I'm in Laurel to have another taste of Mission barbecue!!!! *try the smoked salmon it's a limited item and it's AMAZING!!!!!!!

Great fast food BBQ. I first started going to their Glen Burnie location and this place does not disappoint. I've only gotten the turkey which is always well cooked. If the creamed corn is in season - GET IT - its sooooo good! This place is the Nordstrom's of the BBQ world. Everyone is ALWAYS beyond friendly and will have a chat with you about the history of the company or just life. DON'T got to Famous Dave's when you got this place!

Mission really made in their mission to make good BBQ. This BBQ in a classy, Chipotle-style place. We ordered the following for lunch: 3-meat sampler with beans and Mac & Cheese and the ribs with cole slaw. Both orders came with cornbread. Lots of novelty beer, sodas, and juices. Each table comes with 6 different types of BBQ Sauces Brisket was by far the best. It was moist, tender, and seasoned well, which meant it wasn't necessary for BBQ sauces (if you didn't want it). The next best meat? The sausage. It was plump, juicy and the right amount of salty (because sometimes you get the super bland sausage and other times you get the super over-seasoned, salty sausage, but this one wasn't it). The ribs (not St. Louis) and the pulled chicken were my least favorite because they were dry and needed help via the BBQ sauces. The cornbread wasn't hot, but it was soft and well-made (I'm not a chunky cornbread kinda gal so this was a great fit for me). By far the best was the beans. I normally would never eat beans, even if you tell me you made them from scratch, but these beans? They were tasty and had beef brisket in them! Even overheard the manager telling a customer (who was raving about the chili) that they had 4 types of meat in their chili....totally have to try that. So I don't know if this place is a chain, but they certainly give their best to give it a "local" feel. It was packed on a weekday lunch day, but service was quick. Kudos, will def be back!

Good, affordable bbq. Never had a bad experience. Used to drive to the Glen Burnie location all the time. Then saw this one open up with the new shopping center there. My favorites? Brisket (moist) Pulled Pork Mac Husband loves the chicken (and he is NOT a chicken eater) and the baked beans with bacon. Smoked meatloaf is there occasionally and that is also something not to be missed. Jalapeno cheese sausage is really tasty as well. I'm not a huge cornbread fan (Yes, I know that is blasphemy). They have Pepsi products which I prefer. I love the variety of bbq sauces on every table and eventually I will buy some of the BayBQ. All of them are good and I rotate through them each time I go. I've been to a bunch of other chain places and small joints and this place (any of them, be it Glen Burnie, Richmond, Annapolis or here) has been my absolute favorite!
(5)Ethan H.
I had never been to one till they opened this Laurel, MD location. First it's very clean and the they are prompt in their service. The food taste great and the prices are affordable. I was paid the most attention despite the number of people waiting in line. The waitress/cashier was patient and very profession deadline her looking very young. She was courteous and explained thoroughly the menu and all the options we had. I will and have recommended this spot to any and every body who loves a great BBQ.
(4)Jamie L.
Have never had anything bad here. My favorite is the pork chop. It's amazing! Wish they would serve it more often. Will Definitely get the next time they have it.
(5)Eric E.
Had the grilled shrimp on the bbq. It was good, the sauces were tasty - especially the Tupelo honey heat. I didn't think it was anything above average, personally.
(3)Richard W.
First time here. Got the pulled pork with baked beans (w/brisket). The pork is nicely seasoned with dry rub. The beans are delicious with a nice a taste reminiscent of Brunswick stew. The best sauce, in my opinion, is the Smoky Mountain. Dark smoke taste that blended well with pulled pork. Feels like the Chipotle of bbq.
(3)Deborah K.
The service here is always exceptional. There aren't waiters or waitresses, but there are always a few employees walking around offering assistance with the menu, refills, anything really. I'm not crazy cheap or anything, but I sincerely appreciate not having to tip people for being friendly and helpful. The food alone is well worth the money( I usually order the Bay-B-Back Ribs and a couple sides), but the service is priceless... literally.
(5)Mike B.
I've had a few things at Mission BBQ now, and I definitely would have to go with a solid average bbq rating. It lacks a little spice and boldness, but you can sort-of level that out with the sauces they have. I probably would give it 4 stars, but the last time I went, I got a salad with their pulled chicken on top. The portion of pulled chicken was REALLY meager. I'm talking like 3 full chicken strips-ish portion. The greens and veggies were sort of an afterthought. Also, the dressings choices they had were "Ranch or Italian". I know that your heart is really in the bbq, but if you're gonna serve anything - you might as well put some effort into it. The only other place I've ever been offered a choice of two dressings is the Boy Scout Camps that I worked at. And even there... I thought it a bit riduculous. So I went ahead and made my own dressing. I took some of their Alabama sauce and mixed it with a little of their mustard based bbq sauce. It was pretty decent. Pepsi products on tap don't make me too happy, but that's just preference. If I went back, I certainly would stick to their bbq plates. I've gotten their turkey before, and it was very tender and good. I would not get their pulled chicken again. Even the meagar amount of it was not that tasty. Sorry! You should definitely be aiming in the direction of Pulled pork, brisket, or turkey.
(3)S G.
Never had anything bad here. I tend to not like pulled pork- and mission makes me a convert. The pulled pork is what my BBQ dreams are made of after having it. The turkey is so moist and tender. Normally it is dried out, but not here. The BBQ chicken and brisket are also top notch. I love the fact that you can order a single rib- and sometimes that is all you need to complete a meal. The sides are pretty good too! I really do like their slaw. They offer specials that rotate out, and my dining companion tends to order those (which I always taste) and every time I wish I had gotten the special. They have a selection of sauces at the table if you want an additional flavor to your meat. The food is worth going to Mission to alone, but the customer service is another reason. I've never gone to a casual fast food restaurant where I have been greeted by so much politeness, respect, and happiness from every single staff member. Their customer service model should be what everything is based on. This level of CS was what I experienced at other locations I've gone to as well and I hope will be true for a new location opening in Greenbelt, MD.
(5)Christine A.
When I think of Maryland BBQ, I think pit beef. While I've had some great pit beef experiences in the Baltimore area, the options for "real" BBQ has always been lacking for me. Famous Daves isn't cutting it anymore. Enter Mission BBQ. I'll describe my experience and what you can expect from Mission BBQ in one simple statement: BBQ is America! Mission BBQ gives you the taste of home and love for country, all in one (or two) bountiful plate. If you're an American or love America, you must eat here at least once! P.S. I am ecstatic that they support the Wounded Warriors :-)
(5)Joel C.
It's really a 3 1/2 star but I couldn't figure out how to do a half. Had the pulled pork sandwhich with mac n cheese and potatoe salad. Portions were good.....just enough.....and tasted fresh. Some of the different sauces were really good, the others were whatever. Moderately priced, quick service, and good tasting food. Also, the banana was on point.
(3)Chris T.
Being from Texas, any time i can find a barbecue joint that has brisket, I am happy. I have only every been to this location but I am very impressed with the company as a whole because of their support for the military. We ordered several pounds of meat last weekend for a party for my daughters. I got there a little early so after I paid, the girl offered me a drink while I waited. What impressed me the most, and probably because I am military, was the precision with which my food was delivered. They called my name at exactly 3:15, the time my wife had scheduled for pickup. Also, the guy who handed me my order shook my hand and introduced himself. This location is a real class act and the amount of customers I always see there is a direct reflection.
(4)Sheena W.
I've eaten at a couple different Mission BBQ's and this probably my least favorite. The food seems to have less flavor and it looks less appealing. I've had macaroni and cheese from a box that had more flavor. The brisket smelled as if the meat wasn't fresh. The smoked chicken was kind of dry. Although it's spacious and has the same Mission BBQ flair as the other locations something is missing here.
(2)Roger B.
The service and food were excellent. I wish I had gotten names but the bearded guy and the girl with the big hair were awesome. We showed up with a large party and they pushed together tables for us. Offered samples to try the meat. The place was clean. Decorations were military themed and pretty cool. I had the pork sandwich NC style (NC style means coleslaw on top) and my kid had the kid's ribs. Both of our meals were delicious. I asked for crispy fries and they cooked them a little longer and I got my crispy fries. You'd be surprised how hard it is to get places to do this. I also tried the brisket and it was delicious. Everyone in our party really liked the place. I wish I lived closer so I could go back often.
(5)Daniel M.
It's okay... I mean the food is good... Certainly not bad but not necessarily great. The bbq is cooked well but in some areas lacks flavor. The menu is simple which isn't a bad thing. The cornbread is really good. They offer 6 specialty bbq sauces but nothing I would call close to traditional bbq sauce. I do think their food is slightly over priced but I will return on occasion for other reasons as follows. Their staff is excellent and kind, service is fast as well. Mission Bbq is all about supporting and honoring our troops and veterans. The layout is nice as is the environment. It's a nice spot for a quick meal out if you are in the area and are hungry for bbq.
(3)Teri W.
Food and service are good but for a place that caters to military service, one would think they could display the flags correctly. I spoke to the manager over 6 moths ago about it and his reply was that he received that complaint numerous times from service member but only the decorator could change the displays. Lame excuse to me. Fix the flags!
(3)Rick G.
While the Columbia location was my first introduction to this ridiculously delicious BBQ joint, I was expecting the same quality from this new Laurel location. Same great staff and same great atmosphere. However, the cornbread was a bit stale Nd my wet brisket was dryer than expected. However, it's still darn good BBQ!
(4)Anna P.
My friends had Mission BBQ cater an event last weekend and the food was really good. I definitely stuffed myself full.
(4)Jerry S.
OK, I went for the free sandwich for vets on our day, but I'm a fan of all kinds of BBQ and couldn't miss the opening of a new pit. The "Mission" is American barbecue, heavy emphasis on American and supporting the troops. There is a military truck with a smoker in the bed parked outside, The space is lined with patriotic photos and slogans. It's laid out as a cafeteria line in the back, leading to the soda machines (Pepsi of course - the logo is red, white, and blue) and a room full of distressed wood tables. Canned beer and upscale soft drinks are also available.Q is served without sauce - there is a six pack of squeeze bottles of different regional flavors on the table along with a big bottle of North Carolina style spicy vinegar and a roll of brown paper towels. The sandwich was a generous portion of meat on a dense fresh bun. The slaw topping was nice and crisp, and the beans I chose as a side had good texture but an overly sweet sauce that needed a good splash of the NC vinegar to balance it. The meat was somewhat dry without any taste of smoke, and needed sauce to moisten it. Of the six, my favorite was the Bay-B-Q, with a hint of crab seasoning. So, love the premise, not that crazy about the food as compared to say, Red Hot and Blue. But it beats the heck out of McRib or C-rations.
(3)Meghin E.
Really good, open bbq joint. I got the turkey and jalapeño cheddar sausage xl combo with Mac and cheese and potato salad. The turkey was super moist and great flavor. The sausage was got. The casing was crisp with a bite and the jalapeño and cheddar had a great bite to it. The Mac and cheese was super cheesy, the potato salad was definitely homemade. The cornbread was sweet with corn, similar to jiffy cornbread. Out of all of the sauces to try my favorite was the Tupelo heat? And the Alabama white sauce (I'm from Alabama so I love it) overall great place to try!
(5)Ralph C.

(3) Enjoy!

(5)Taryn C.

(5)Justin K.
Great food and great service. Most importantly portions of the proceeds support the Wounded Warrior Project. For that, there are not enough stars to rank.
(5)Meghin E.

(2)Ace J.

(5)Michael K.

(4)Candi G.

(5)Janice L.
(4)Richard B.
Outstanding service and the food is great. They treat the customers with respect and since im a service member thay really do a good job serving military members and all customers for that matter. The food is great i had a pulled pork sandwich and the meat is tender and their bbq sauces are great.
(5)Debra B.
