Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Their pizza is great to excellent. It is relatively thin crust and quality toppings, and handmade to order by the owner. Sauce is average to good, service is also excellent. Based on these qualities alone, I would give them 4-5 stars. The prices are way too high for pizza. A medium 3 topping (pep/mush/onion) pie was $18 (takeout). $18 is the going price for a medium from Faccis (up-scale brick oven pizza joint up the road that uses imported toppings). The same size/topping can be had at most other local chain and non-chain (and non-upscale, which Licero's most certainly is) pizza joints for less than or equal to $14 (takeout). Trust me, been there, done that. This takes Lucero's score down form. 4-5 to a 3. I suspect their pizza prices are so high because: 1) they charge nothing for delivery and pizza is probably their big seller/delivery seller, and/or 2) it is difficult for them to get business in their current location. Their current location is a strip mall that will probably be gone/bulldozed within 16 months; the popular Maple Lawn shopping district nearby has made this location obsolete. TLDR: pizza is overpriced, but worth a try. Service is great, not a bad place to give a try. Give it a shot, it may be gone soon.

Great pizza, subs, and wings. Can't go wrong with a family business. they also do delivery which is awesome for those that live within the area

This is a great family owned business! The gyros are my absolute favorite. You won't be disappointed with their food and service!

Love their Steak n Cheese! I travel from Silver Spring to get a delicious sandwich. They're very hospitable and genuinely appreciate your business. Having that awareness for the customer, will have me return again and again.

Great pizza, nice mom and pop business. Love the gyros too. They support the community schools so we like to support them. So many variations of pizza.

The workers are friendly and its a small little restaurant. The steak burrito is pretty good here and super spicy, but it's drenched in the hot sauce. Everything here is so overpriced, especially for the amount you get. $5 for 4 mozzarella sticks...$2.50 for fries that I can fit in the palm of my small hand...and $2 for a 16 oz bottle of soda.

Terrible. Total sh!tshow. We have ordered from them for several years. They were always marginally better than the crappy chain places, but the downhill slide has been dramatic. We swore them off a few months ago, but we were hungry and didn't feel like cooking tonight. When I ordered, I was told it would be an hour because they were busy. Fine. An hour and a half later, I called. They had misplaced our ticket. Another 45 minutes later, the "food" arrived. Gross. We ordered a small pizza with bacon and an Italian cold cut sub. We got a nasty, cardboard "pizza" with a suggestion of bacon bitz and a crapass sandwich of sad lunch meat on a stale cheap roll. I hope this place either turns around or closes down before they kill someone.

Customer Service is horrible!!! Example: my soda was flat and the owner insisted on tasting it from my cup to make sure I wasn't lying. I asked if I could have a bottled soda instead, he said but when I was about to grab the bottle out of the fridge he changed his mind and insisted that I only take a can, not a bottle. What a nice way to nickel and dime your customers... when you are the one that has a broken soda machine. Additionally, the pizza tastes greasy and bland. Nothing special. I prefer a fast food pizza chain over this place.....

I ordered delivery from this establishment. Placed order at 6:35. I was told it would be about 50 min for delivery which is not terrible for a friday night. After an hour passed, I attempted to call to figure out when they would get here. I phone rung busy or just rung. After no less than 10 calls over a 40 min period someone answered the phone. She quickly brushed me off and said the order would be there shortly. I explained it had been almost 2 hours since I placed the order. She mention about terribly busy it was tonight for them. Did not offer to take anything off the bill and then said she needed to get off the phone since she needed to run a credit card. I told her I would never order from them again. She just replied thanks and hung up. I work hard for my money and except a certain level of service when I choose to spend it at any place. This place need customer service training and a second phone line to handle credit cards. The food did finally arrive and I not impressed. Save your time and money and go somewhere else

Nice people, food was terrible. I guess living in Los Angeles HAS made me a food snob. It just was not that good. I think dominio's is better for the price. The salad is a head of ice berg lettuce. overpriced for sure. Won't be coming back and the owner was pushing bottled water vs. tap saying he didn't have filtered water. I am okay with tap, oh but I think you would like bottled more.. OK FINE give me 2 overpriced bottles of water.

Nothing great here. Being from UpState NY the mecca of deli's and pizzerias and having worked in several for years, I know a real za' when I taste and see one. The pizza sadly is not authentic. It is overpriced as well. We spent $40 on a large pizza, 1 small sub and 1 large side. Definately not coming back here. It was disappointing.

This is my favorite local pizza delivery. They make a good pizza with the right amount of sauce and fresh toppings. The crust is not soggy and it's not oily. Much better than Domino's or Pizza Hut. I love their suicide steak burrito. If you like spicy.. it'll make the hairs on the back of your head stand up. If you like chicken wings, opt for the oven baked wings. They take longer to prepare, but they're worth it. They also do take out and eat-in too.

Best pizza in maple lawn together with great gyros!!!
(5)R S.
Best pizza in the Maple Lawn area of Laurel. Prices are a tad high. U can tell the pizza dough is fresh by the taste. Toppings are good. Theres no ambience, but is a perfect spot for a quick lunch or carryout

I don't typically end up at pizza places on Scaggsville road, but when a colleague needed an intermediate point for lunch, Lucero's seemed like a good bet. The Venecian pizza we split was delicious! The atmosphere is bland and the service is nothing to write home about, but if you're in the Fulton/ Laurel area and need good pizza, Lucero's is a great idea.

The food took 1 hour and 45 minutes to come, they told me a 45minutes to an hour, they are busy... We called them and told them they just took entirely too long. If I had know it was going to take an hour longer i would have ordered from someelse. The owner didn't offer to take any money off our bill so we told her to take the food back we don't want it. She was very rude, I was looking for a new place, guess it's back to pizza time. Will not buy from again!

Too bad you had a bad experience Nicholette. This is honestly a great pizza place in our area. I have to agree with MamaD from Menuism, their steak sub is fabulous too, her review is here: menuism.com/restaurants/… I think it's definitely worth giving them another try.

Although the pizza is very good and made fresh, the price is a turnoff. A large pizza was $16.99. In this economy, that price needs to be better for me to be a frequent customer. Bought half pepperoni and half cheese for the kids but tasted a slice. Tasted very good though. Asked for a cup of ice and had to pay 50 cents for that. It'll be along time before I go back there, if ever.

Not really a fan of this pizza joint. They do deliver unlike Ledo's. J&P is open across the street though..... I have only ever had the pizza and I feel like I have had better frozen pizza.
