Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I was just delivered the oldest, stringiest, most salty/sweet, weird tasting lasagna I've ever encountered! I had to throw it away and now I feel SICK! Not only that it took an hour to get here. I guess don't order anything but the pizza.

I ate from here yesterday. I ordered a calzone, a Greek salad, and a slice of chocolate cake. The restaurant was dirty and that should have been my first sign to walk away. However, I stayed. I ate about 3/4 of the huge calzone, some of the Greek salad, and then I waited about 20 minutes to eat the cake. When I got to the cake, I noticed a disgusting smell and then I tasted a little bit of it and found it inedible. No harm, no foul, but a waste of $5 for sure. At that point it was reasonable for me to deduce that my meal was made of old or spoiled food. Yuck. It wasn't until an hour later I started feeling ill. It felt like my intestines were being twisted... It was horrible. I woke up in the middle of the night and vomited all the food up. It was bad. My stomach still feels horrible this morning. In short, I got food poisoning. Do not eat here. I don't know who I should contact but they are selling old food and it's not right. 11/24/2014

I wish I could continue ordered from this place because their pizza is amazing. The rest of the menu (aside from the pizza and sometimes the wings).. Not so much. But they have THE WORST SERVICE. Once tried to order the 1 medium pizza/10 wings deal over the phone and the man kept telling me there was no deal, even though I've ordered it regularly. I go to pick up my meal and SEE A SIGN FOR THE DEAL. I ask him about it and he says "oh you asked for a medium pizza the deal is for the large". He then proceeds to charge me the full price... Infuriating. Also NEVER get delivery from here. It always takes over an hour and a half. Once it took over 2 hours because the driver got lost. I had to call to ask where my pizza was and give directions. They didn't even bother to call me. Sometimes good food isn't worth bad service. Like the crazy/hot scale, this place isn't hot enough to be so crazy rude.

This is my go to pizza delivery place because the food is good and consistent. I thought I wrote a review a long time ago. I usually get some pizza for my son and one of theyre hot sandwiches for myself. The delivery time is usually 45mins-1hr which is annoying. The pizza is good. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich is delish as well as the hot turkey sandwich. But this last the fries were horrible. They usually give delicious baked seasoned potatoes. These were dried baked crinkle fries that had burnt ends. Gross!!! The wings are also good. But this time the BBQ wings were overcooked. I was really disappointed. I will give them another chance but idk. With the delivery time and all, I'm gonna need them to do better.

My Wife and I came here for lunch. She ordered a slice with extra chees, sausage and pepperoni. I ordered two slices, one with cheese one with pepperoni. Little hole in the wall spot around the corner fro. The Giant. A little skeptical at first because you walk in and there is no smell of pizza nor can you see the kitchen area but the reviews were good so we said lets do it. I assume the pizza is made fresh because it was not quick. It took about 20-25 minutes for four slices. The pizza was good, I wouldn't say worth the long wait, but good.

2 star bc the pizza is AMAZING but I've ordered 2x from there and each time had a problem. 1st they delivered to a different apartment , I called hour later they said it was already delivered. Had to wait for new food. Second time was last night, ordered from the Eat24 app pizza and mozzarella sticks. Pizza came but no sticks. Showed the receipt from Eat24 and the driver called his manager. Manager said it wasn't ordered. How can that be? I have the receipt right here. Needless to say they didn't charge me for the sticks.

The pizza is really good, but they take FOREVER to deliver! My pizza took 1 hour and 40 minutes to arrive tonight. I love to support small/local businesses, but almost 2 hours for pizza is a little outrageous.
(3)Shannon D.
The salad with the cheese bread is so good. The pizza is okay nothing special.
(3)BeYonne W.
The food here is amazing!! I order here for takeout all the time and I am always pleased. Great ingredients great quality
(5)Tashi C.
They were really good at helping me find a gluten-free option for lunch. I don't remember what we came up with, but it was delicious.

after reading good reviews from yelp and the fact this place is conveinently located across the street from me i decided to place an order. Pros: The pizza is quiet good! the crust was great and it was hot and cheesy. the price was good too. Cons: the wait was long! i order my pizza online and when i got to the shop 20 mins later thety told me they just got the order and the guy was just making my pizza. i didnot like the smell inside the place nor the decor. also i heard the wings was good so i deciced to order sum. i was very disapointed in the wings as they were not done all the way. all in all i will order again from them but i will only order the pizza and i will call my order in verses ordering online.

This is one of my go-to places when I order delivery. Sometimes, I just don't feel like cooking, so I will jump online and place my order. The delivery times are not the fastest (usually ~1 hour from the time I order), but it is worth it. I recommend the steak and cheese sub. It's served on a homemade focaccia roll. It comes with chips. I splurge and also order tiramisu (what italian dinner wouldn't be complete without this treat?). As for dishes I would not recommend, I would not get the calzone. I was not overly impressed by that. It had a lot of bread and didn't seem to have that same ricotta-creamy-melty-cheesy delicious filling I've had elsewhere. If you want to support a local restaurant with great food, definitely give this place a try!

Living in Laurel its hard to find QUALITY food DELIVERED...my husband and I were so pleasantly surprised with Pizza Banca...we ordered their rolls, hummus as well as their spinach and feta squares...and in my husbands words 'this is something I'd expect to eat at our hotel in Santorini"...we have DEFINITELY found a new place for our delivered meals.
(5)Jeff H.
If i could give it a zero I would. Driver called after when he was supposed to arrive and said he was at my door knocking, and he wasn't. Went to my door none there, he was at some other address. Once he arrived the food was not hot. The pizza crust was ok, crunch with some chew, cheese and toppings normal. Sauce tasted like old cafeteria spaghetti sauce. The worst was the steak n cheese which was supposed to be on ciabatta. This they brought was more like a mexican torta, chalky grainy nothing like ciabatta and very little steak. The dumbest thing was he had my sodas in the keep hot bag with the food, cooling the food off and warming up the sodas. awful all of it

Not happy with this place at allll! Again, I'm new to the area and wanted to check out a couple of places before I go into my spring diet and with the great reviews on yelp, I decided to give this place a chance. Here's what we got: 1)Philly steak roll 2)meatball Calzone 3)Spinach and feta triangles 4)potato wedges 5)Mozzarella sticks 6)cheesecakes 7)bbq chicken wings 1- The philly steak roll. I asked for no green peppers and no tomatoes because I do not like that. Behold, both items were in the roll. The roll itself was super dry. The steak meat I believe was the pre-made "steak ums" that you get from the frozen section in the grocery store. This was absolutely terrible. No flavor, except from the grease of the steak. Gross! 2). Meatball Calzone. I asked for garlic added because I am a huge garlic fan. What we received was whole garlic cloves at least 12 in the calzone. Additionally, where was the ricotta? That's right, there wasn't any. The meatballs were decent, it kind of saved this calzone from complete disaster, however, it was a complete sham of a calzone. The shear laziness of placing up to 12 whole garlic cloves (without slicing them up) in a calzone baffles me. It was an extremely sloppy chef. 3). Spinach and feta triangles. Traditionally these are light fluffy puff pastries that greek/Italian restaurants carry. However, this was not light at the slightest. It was extremely heavy and the phyllo was covered in fried oil! Super heavy. Extremely disappointing. With a side of marina sauce. What restaurant plates this with marina sauce????!???? Disaster! 4). potato wedges. Apparently this was decent. I didn't even have any because it looked rather over seasoned and tragic. 5). Mozzarella sticks. Super dry and unappealing. I ate this the next day nuked the heck out of them and they were "okay" at best to eat. Nothing spectacular at all. 6).Cheese cake. Definitely was not homemade. Furthermore it didn't even come with a side of strawberry sauce. Tragic. 7). BBQ Chicken wings. I asked for this to be "well done." I guess well done to them was "as long as it appears cooked." Well done typically means a good amount of crisp to it then you add the bbq sauce to it. There was no crisp. I think they used the Tyson bbq wings from the bag that you get at your local grocer. Extremely disappointed. Overall, this place was a complete disaster of a $50.00 meal. Not only did they not follow my orders but the level of sloppiness that was displayed here blows me away. To the point, I was really questioning why was I eating it and why was I wasting calories. It was deplorable and this restaurant should truly consider hiring on a chef with a higher level of standards. It's sad that in Laurel there's so many restaurants but few that deliver. Sadly, I will never order from this place again. Sometimes restaurants can be hit or miss, and I understand that, but this is a total miss and I for one will definitely forgo and miss this place at all costs. -will never patron this place again-
(1)Nicole C.
It's okay. The Gyro was okay, but it was the bare basics of a gyro and the meat looked like bologna.....the chicken wings were "just barely" cooked and the Tiramisu was frozen and at the beginning stages of starting to thaw out. This is not a restaurant I will order from again.
(2)L B.
They customized my pizza to make it vegan and I'm never disappointed w/ the food like other delivery places in laurel.

The first time I had their pizza at a neighbors and I was hook. It was delicious. I then started ordering myself. At least four times in the past month. The 3rd time I waited two and a half hours due to the weather conditions which was understandable however there we no concessions offered. Of course I had to reheat my pizza because it was cold after that extended delivery time (I was told to expect the pizza in an hour and a half). My last order was on Wednesday. The delivery man was the most rude and disrespectful customer facing rep I've come across in a long time. He refused to follow the instructions I included in my order line detailing how to enter my building. I advised that I wanted to cancel the order because he wouldn't come to my door. I then called the store to cancel. I was advised that needed to contact grubHub. Again I was frustrated and counted it a lose of $20 because I didn't want to go through anymore frustration. Alas after another 25 minutes guess who pops up at my door. Mr. Disrespectful, he handed my the pizza without any acknowledgment of his egregious service. As I was closing the door, Mr. Disrespectful yells, "I deliver for tip not for free!" I replied by calling him a JERK and closed the door. Not only was I completely caught off guard by his comment but it also frightened me. The gentleman from the store called me back to confirm that I received the order and insisted that I contact GrubHub for a refund. I told him I wasn't looking for free food but more importantly stellar service. A service this establishment isn't capable of providing. I didn't ask for the refund. I'm expressing my experience here on Yelp. Customers beware. I will make myself whole but not patronizing them again. I believe in hitting you where it really hurts and that's by taking my hard earned money elsewhere.

This spot is one of the best pizza places in the area. It's my favorite pizza. They offer a number of deals, lots of specialty topping options and good service. They're my pick over Papa John's any day.
(5)Rishima P.
Pizza is thick crust, sauce is great, cheese is overload!! The pizza is good. The service is the worst! I've been hung up on ..most of the time you don't understand the persons quick and strong accent. They give no customer service etiquette ..nothing .. It's almost like the owner is mad at his life. But the pizza is good though.
(3)Kenneth J.
Slowest delivery imaginable. They set the delivery time for 1.5hrs from the time I ordered and still arrived late. The order was simple and the food was cold when it arrived. Never ordering from them again.
(1)Roger W.
Tried the steak and cheese...not your typical sub. It's made with their own freshly baked cibatta bread. Lots of quality cheese and real steak not steak ums. I'm giving them 4 stars because the place had no a/c and it was uncomfortable while I waited for my food. I will definitely be back
(4)T L.
I had the gyro, my wife had the Philly cheesesteak. We both truly enjoyed what we had. I had some of the cheesesteak and it was pretty tasty. The deliver was also very prompt.I would definitely order from them again.

Okay let me just say I've eaten a lot of pizza places in Laurel. I don't drive that often so I wanted to place that delivered. Additionally, I wanted a place that accepts PayPal payments online. Most importantly I want it the food to be awesome. I am pleased to say that I had all my requirements mad at La Pizza Blanca. I was able to order online using GrubHub, and pay with PayPal. Even better I was able to use a promotional coupon online and save $5. I ordered 2 large pizzas and they came within 35 minutes. They're topping selection was amazing and my family love the pizza. This is now my go to spot for pizza and fresh eat in Laurel.
(5)N G G.
Sigh....I am so tired of searching for an excellent pizza maker in this area, it really is a challenge. I ordered a Margarita Pizza by delivery. The good: delivery was fast, the pizza was hot and the crust wasn't all bad. The disappointment: Margarita is not over sauced pie on a medium thick crust with 1/2 inch sliced raw hot house tomatoes tucked under low quality "fresh" mozzarella. I'm saying it shouldn't be offered if you can't do it right. (good quality mozz, wood fired oven, light tomato sauce). I am guessing the regular pizzas would be fine however.
(3)Alexander B.
Not TERRIBLE for as cheap as it is, but if you like good quality pizza I would look elsewhere.
(2)Kenneth G.
Coupons a bit misleading, expensive for pizza and its just average. We picked up more than we needed and the leftovers went to waist
(2)Sarah H.
Really good stuff! I have had several things on the menu and all were very good. Their pizza is fantastic, much better than any of the chain places. They are priced a little higher than the chains, but I expect that from non-chains, and it is definitely worth it here. Sometimes their delivery takes a bit too long, but the food is always hot. Also, sometimes the cheesecake and tiramasu (both of which are very tasty) arrive partially frozen, so not sure if they make it in house and freeze or if they purchase it somewhere.
(4)Joe B.
Ordered a calzone and root beer. The calzone was great. The sauce was a little runny but everything else made up for it. The food was delivered relatively quick and hot. Will be ordering again!
(4)Shawn W.
make sure to order 45 min when ready to eat but the wait is worth it thin crust or thick is great
(5)Omar T.
This place is awesome, I am from Philly and will never get a cheesteak any where, they have a whole new spin on it here, and it starts with the bread they bake daily. The feta and spinach triangles are phenomenal too.
(5)Alicia D.
I have honestly never had a better pizza. I've only had their pizza, but definitely want to try the other items on their. Yes, they are pricier than chain pizza places, but that's to be expected for quality. And you can still get 2 medium, 2 topping pizzas for only $8 each. To me, that's a good deal. Delivery time - I think there's been only once that I had to wait close to an hour. But I've ordered from the local chain pizza places and still have them take over 30 minutes. If I'm starving and can't wait, I would just go pick the pizza up. But generally it does take about 30-40 minutes for delivery. Considering the prep/cook time plus driving to my house, I don't consider this a long time.

My twenty-something son told me about La Pizza Banca. At first, I dismissed his raves as youthful exuberance, but he convinced me to try them and I have to agree - the food here rocks! The online order system is convenient and today's order was at my door less than 45 minutes after I hit the send button (I'm about three mikes away). The Sampler Selection contained the two best Hummus dips (one regular, one spicy tomato) I've ever tasted. My entree was the Gyro Wrap, which was excellent and tasted fresh. My spouse had the Grilled Cheese with tomato, spicy mustard, and mayo. Nothing fancy, but the sandwich was big with lots of cheese. My son had a Gourmet White Pizza with shrimp added - his favorite. It was great! The prices are reasonable, ordering is easy, and take-out (or dine in) is available. If you are in the Laurel area, give this place a try.
(5)Matt B.
Decent Delivery Pizza They've been peppering my neighborhood with fliers of a while now so I decided to order and give it a try. Crust- Fluffy and bread like. Not thick and not thin. All together its nothing spectacular but pretty decent Sauce- Little sweeter than most not herb or seasoned just straight canned pizza sauce Cheese- Pretty bland mozzarella blend they loaded a lot of it on the pizza. Overall - They pizza wasn't great by any stretch of the imaginations but given the delivery choices in this area it definitely beats pizza hut or domino's plus the delivery was quick and the pizza was cheap. All and all I would order from there again
(3)Ashley H.
I've gotten take out and delivery from this place a few times. The quality of ingredients and variety of food pleasantly surprised me. The location was home to Cluck U Chicken for years and then served a brief stint as a salad place. When you walk in, it still has the same set up as the old Cluck U. I've tried the salad, pizza, and sandwiches - all of which were very good. The prices are a bit higher than larger chain pizza restaurants but they're well worth it. The only complaint I've had is that one of the times I got delivery it took almost an hour for the food to arrive. The next time it only took a fraction of that.
(4)Lorn H.
I had the pizza and the wings. A friend ordered and they delivered quite a ways away from their location which was impressive. We ordered 4 pizzas, a pepperoni, 2 extra cheese and a sausage. The couple who ordered it sung their praises, I was skeptical. However, when it came, it was absolutely delicious. I had driven by this place several times but never ordered. The pizza was great with plenty of cheese, came hot and was one of the best pizzas I have tasted in a while. The wings were good, came well done, the sauce we had on the side and it was OK. But the pizza was the winner in my book!
(5)Charita B.
So, today I tried La Pizza Banca. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! Being new the area, I have been looking for really great pizza, not a chain but, something tasty, fresh and great! With the thick cut veggies, plentiful meat and cheese & a crisp crust, I am really glad I made the call today. I would definitely suggest giving them a try.
(4)Brett H.
Great pizza, but every time I use my credit card here the number seems to get stolen and has to be canceled. So far it's happened twice, once with my card this past Friday and previously with my wife's card. I highly recommend paying for your order with cash.
(1)Reanna T.
For my boyfrend and I's 10 year anniversary, I wanted to send him a pizza that said "I love you" in pepperonis. I called multiple pizza places that all said no. Finally, I thought of Pizza Banca and they offered to do it for no extra charge! Thanks Pizza Banca; my bf loved it!! Oh, and they also have the yummiest sandwiches ever served on home made focaccia bread! MMMM. I love the bbq chicken one and my boyfriend always gets the cheesesteak.
(5)Lia R.
Great local restaurant with good pizza and good prices. Much better than any of the chain pizza restaurants.
(4)Mitesh P.
Good stuff. Best carryout/ delivery around. Veggies could have been cooked a but more but we will definately order again.
(4)Michele M.
Great bbq wings and cheese breadsticks... don't know about anything else on the menu though...
(3)Mike R.
Was at a friends house in Laurel, drunk and hungry. Hopped on Yelp to see what I could find. Decided to give La Pizza Banaca a try and glad I did. Pizza was good, albiet the large is a normal medium, but that is OK. Got Sausage and Onion and 12 Wings for $19.95. The wings were actually amazing, not because I had been drinking but because they were. They don't come soaked in sauce, which is a MAJOR plus, they are fried and almost rolled in a seasoning I think. Anyway, try 'em.
(4)Yvonne W.
I just ordered a delivery pizza from here, after searching on Yelp for a good pizza place in Laurel. Glad I chose La Pizza Blanca! I requested thin and crispy, and they did exactly that. I just had my first slice, and it's delicious! Could use more sauce, but other than that I am pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Great for the price, too.
(4)Laura H.
Great for quick and yummy delivery of pizza and wings. Both excellent and prices are decent.
(5)Dawn B.
I have ordered from them many times and always enjoy it. The Mediterranean Dip is spicy and flavorful, the Lavosh Roll Turkey Bistro is a meld of flavors that make your mouth sing. I use my REMAX Rewards and get WOW points each time I order which makes it even more special.
(5)Mechinome D.
my pal and i ordered wings! 10 of hot and 10 of garlic. we thought lets try both and see which is better. so.. which one IS better you ask..? I DONT KNOW. the flavor we BOTH got was BURNT AND GREASY. i had 3 wings then threw the rest to the dogs. they were THAT BAD!!! i had to drink a 1/2 gallon of tea to get the nastiness out of my mouth.
(1)Kate C.
We've been trying to find a place that delivers pizza as well as other food - subs, etc. and haven't had much luck so far. Last night, we decided to try La Pizza Banca. We were very pleasantly surprised when the food arrived. The pizza was awesome - it wasn't greasy and the sauce was delicious! We had also ordered a cheese steak. This was the real surprise - it came on homemade facoccia bread. It had cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, green peppers, onions and mushrooms which made it very flavorful and it wasn't greasy! We also had the potatoe wedges which were seasoned very well. The prices were reasonable as well. This will be our go to place for delivery pizza and subs in the future.
(5)Erica B.
I have ordered from here before and the first time I was pleasantly surprised (arrived early, food was hot and tasty). This time however I had a completely different experience. The food still arrived on time but with this experience I got the following: 1) garlic wings were burned 2) potato wedges were burned 3) pizza burned I was both mad and fascinated on how everything I ordered was burned. I should have sent it back but was afraid of what i may get back. We all have choices on where to spend our money. My choice is to find another establishment.
